- "The Host, Steve was very responsive and helpful. Accommodations are great for a couple, a young family, a small family, or even just some friends! Very spacious and we loved the en-suite bathrooms in the bedrooms. Kitchen was fully equipped with lots of tools. Ample pantry space to store your own goods! Laundry machines were great. Very spacious and great for our family getaway!"

Located on Block Island Sound, in Montauk, New York, it is walking distance from a little beach area, Gosman's dock, sushi, shopping, restaurants, bars, ice cream shop, marinas, liquor store, deli, bagel store, Block Island Ferry parking, fishing charters, jet ski and boat rentals, and bicycle rentals.

The space
The waterfront loft unit has one Queen-sized bed in an upstairs loft, and a pull-out Queen sofa bed on the main level greatroom, and sleeps 4 people, max.

Kitchen has electric 4-burner range, apartment-size refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker (please bring your own k-cups), microwave, plates, bowls, flatware, glasses, wine glasses, mugs, serving platters and cooking accessories. Guests are expected to clean their own dishes. Dish soap, sponge, dish towels and drying rack are provided. No maid service available with the listing price during your stay. The bathroom is new, with new fixtures, glass shower stall, and marble counter. Hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and toilet paper is provided.
The room is set up with towels to accommodate up to 4 guests (so 4 bath towels, 4 hand towels, 4 wash cloths, and a bath mat.) There is no daily towel service, however, you could purchase daily towel service (for any number of days) directly from the front office at time of check-in for a fee per day. (Stop in at the office when you are onsite for pricing, and to order and pay for same). This is offered through the front office, to guests of the owner, and the front office sets and collects the fee. If you elect to have that service, please let me know, so that I can follow up and make sure all goes smoothly for you.
There is a full-length mirror, iron & ironing board in the hallway closet and on the wall in the upstairs loft. (Also located in the hallway closet is the table umbrella for the private deck, and a rain umbrella)--please make sure to close and tie the deck umbrella when you leave the deck or the unit, to prevent wind damage.
There is full access to pool during pool hours (set by the resort), waterfront sun deck with tables and chairs, umbrellas, lounges and guest barbecues. Plenty of on-site free private parking (two lots).

Guest access
The unit is a Waterfront Loft room at the Sun 'n' Sound Waterfront Resort. You will have use of the Resort's heated pool (towels are provided at the pool), back Sun deck, shuffle board, corn hole (upon request from office), fire pits, barbecue grills, and free parking on site.

There are numerous weekend festivals, craft shows, fishing tournaments, farmers markets and live music during the season. Montauk Downs golf course is a New York State run public golf course with views of the Atlantic ocean and surrounding landscape and wildlife. Horseback riding is also available in the area with trails that run along the ocean.
