The cottage has three total levels:
The main level consists of a small parlor room, large living room with oversized couch, huge smart TV, desk and chair, mini-fridge, full bathroom, washer and dryer, and balcony overlooking pond and back yard.

Upstairs is a separate bedroom with king size bed and futon couch which folds out into a bed.

Downstairs is arranged as a 'studio apartment' with another sitting area and couch, king bed, smart TV, full bathroom, and small kitchen. Note that the lower level is an open floorplan without walls.

The lower level door opens to a large covered porch with ceiling fans, table, and chairs, overlooking 2.5 acres.

An historic cottage, built in 1790, in Westport, CT is 55 minutes via train to Manhattan NYC, 30 minutes to New Haven, CT (home of the prestigious Yale University and historical area). You are also 1.5 miles from Westport's private beach, 2 miles from the public beach, Sherwood Island (both are historic as the arrival place of George Washington's troops!). The owner family Agnoloni-Speciale restored this charming historical apartment with full modern amenities and many comforts . Comfortable for all seasons, there is a deck for sun bathing or grilling, and an original fireplace for warmth.

It was exactly what we had hoped for —in fact, better than expected. The unit had parking, a fenced yard (with patio table and grassy area), a washer-dryer (with soap provided!) and a wonderful, well-appointed full kitchen and living space. The apartment was extremely clean with new furnishings and thoughtful, pretty decor. The bed was comfortable and the linens fresh and clean. An upstairs loft area with skylight provided the perfect spot for my husband to work-from-home. Location-wise, the neighborhood is busy, but we did not have any problems with noise and it was only a five-minute drive to a cute downtown with great restaurants. It was also super close to freeway entrances which made it easy to get wherever we wanted to go. New York City was about an hour’s drive away and it was only 15 minutes to hiking trails, or in the other direction, shopping, etc. Bottom line, we loved our stay here and were impressed with Leti’s quick and efficient communication and response times. She addressed any and all questions that arose in a helpful, friendly and professional way. We would definitely stay again and would recommend booking with her without hesitation."

Our charming beach cottage is available in the exclusive Saugatuck Shores area, literally steps to the water (150 steps to be exact!). The neighborhood is great for walking, running, biking and water sports. The house is located on a peninsula, so there is water at every turn. You can experience the truly spectacular morning sunrises and afternoon sunsets. In the summer, walks to the yacht club for an informal lunch or lounging on the several small beaches nearby are lovely ways to spend the day. Our cottage is located within easy distance of the highways (I-95 and the Merritt Parkway), the train station and the downtown areas of Westport and South Norwalk with all their shops and restaurants.

Our home is sweetly decorated and has been curated with relaxation and beach living in mind. It has three bedrooms downstairs, each with a queen bed. Upstairs is an entire second floor loft space done in bright white strips with a large desk and an oversized pouf - ( there are no beds in this space any longer).

There are two bathrooms with Waterworks and Restoration Hardware fixtures and a petite yet gourmet kitchen with Italian marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, a farmhouse sink and a Viking range. The dining alcove is especially sweet as it is strewn with seashells. There are two enclosed porches plus an extra large yard fenced yard with outdoor grill.

Cloud 9 is the perfect place to rest your head while in town for business or pleasure.

The furniture changes frequently as we are decorators and are continually imbuing the space with fantastic finds - what remains is the charm and serene energy surrounding the cottage.

- "Just returned from my trip. The cottage was adorable and clean, well stocked and the owners were available if I needed them. The beach was a short walk up the road, but I was disappointed that the beach is all sectioned off with private beaches. The beach at the end of the road was the width of the one way road the cottage was on. I assumed that was for anyone on the side road where the cottage sits. Not sure how it is at busy times, but at least nobody was on the beach and it was peaceful - maybe because when I went, renters were done with vacation and focused on school? The scenery was breathtaking. It felt like a safe area. I did walk back to the beach and once I accepted the private beaches situation, it was very nice. No parking, however, so you have to walk to the beach, but it's not far - about 8 houses down. Restaurants are close and very good. The center of town (also close by, but not within walking distance) had a concert series happening with little shops in the downtown area, including an ice cream shop that was excellent! There is no Handicap access for this property and it would be tough for an elderly person or someone with a disability, including not having grab bars in the bathtub/shower. Overall it was quiet, felt safe and it was quaint and clean. I would definitely go back again! The area has a lot to offer and the location is perfect."

Mill Pond Retreat is a lovely 3 bedroom 2.5 bath two-story cottage with panoramic views of the quiet and private Mill Pond, an 80 acre tidal estuary that flows into the Long Island Sound. It's home to many species of birds and aquatic wildlife.

The cottage sits directly overlooking Mill Pond on a quiet and private street. A picturesque 1/2 mile walk will land you at Mill Pond Beach. A short 3 min drive can have you soaking up the sun at the popular Compo Beach. Restaurants, shopping, and entertainment are a plenty on Main Street or Riverside Ave just 5-10 mins away.

Main Floor:
The main floor boasts an open floor plan with kitchen, dining, and living areas overlooking Mill Pond via a wall of windows across the front of the house. Through the french doors, walk out onto an expansive patio to enjoy coffee/breakfast as the sun rises over the water or open up the grill and enjoy a BBQ on a perfect Westport summer night. The main floor also contains a 1/2 bathroom and laundry.

Master bedroom:
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with floor to ceiling windows for stunning views of Mill Pond. The bedroom also contains the master bathroom with tub. Note: The bathroom is in the bedroom and is not separated by a wall or door. If more privacy is needed, there is a full bathroom right down the hall. The bedroom has direct access via two doors to the upper deck

Guest bedrooms:
There are 2 guest bedrooms with twin beds. Guest bedroom 1 also has fantastic views overlooking the pond with direct access to the upper deck. A guest bathroom is located in the hallway right outside these bedrooms

Den:
The upper floor also contains an oversized den (or additional sleeping area). Also perfect as a play area as there is tons of space!

Upper Deck:
The upper deck encompasses the entire southern and eastern exposures of the house. There are multiple seating and viewing areas including a long high top table z

Newly built modern country cottage with long term availability. Perfect city getaway or work from home opportunity. Pets accepted. Wifi, gas fireplace, outdoor grill, a/c, washer dryer, 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths. Fully furnished. What don't we have? dishwasher, full size frig, range. We do have 1/2 size frig and freezer, microwave, stove top Breville oven and air fryer, electric Cuisinart two burner countertop. We dont have a ton of storage space but it hasnt been a problem so far. It will depend upon how much you are bringing with you.
Because this is a cottage associated with a main house, you wont have your own mail box. Deliveries would come to the main house and we can bring them to your front door. If you are needing your own mail delivery, you might consider leasing a PO box at the local office if necessary. So far it has worked out even for long term guests. Mentioning it because everyone's needs are different. All guests must be older than 40 years of age and must produce identification. Relationship between guests must be explained. We would like to meet in person in advance of accepting any reservation. No smoking on or around premises. All linens must stay inside the premises and may not be removed from premises for any reason. Tenant is responsible for a weekly cleaning fee ($100) with the Landlord's cleaning personnel to be paid by Tenant dirctly to cleaning personnel.

Great amenities in town include tennis, sailing, yoga, beaches, and restaurants. Pedestrian-friendly town; you don't even need a car while here and town is a short 10 min walk away.

Mill Pond Retreat is a lovely 3 bedroom 2.5 bath two-story cottage with panoramic views of the quiet and private Mill Pond, an 80 acre tidal estuary that flows into the Long Island Sound. It's home to many species of birds and aquatic wildlife.

The space
Mill Pond Retreat sits directly overlooking Mill Pond on a quiet and private street. A picturesque 1/2 mile walk will land you at Mill Pond Beach. A short 3 min drive can have you soaking up the sun at the popular Compo Beach. Restaurants, shopping, and entertainment are a plenty on Main Street or Riverside Ave just 5-10 mins away.

Main Floor:
The main floor boasts an open floor plan with kitchen, dining, and living areas overlooking Mill Pond via a wall of windows across the front of the house. Through the french doors, walk out onto an expansive patio to enjoy coffee/breakfast as the sun rises over the water or open up the grill and enjoy a BBQ on a perfect Westport summer night. The main floor also contains a 1/2 bathroom and laundry.

Master bedroom:
The master bedroom has a queen size bed with floor to ceiling windows for stunning views of Mill Pond. The bedroom also contains the master bathroom with tub. Note: The bathroom is in the bedroom and is not separated by a wall or door. If more privacy is needed, there is a full bathroom right down the hall. The bedroom has direct access via two doors to the upper deck

Guest bedrooms:
There are 2 guest bedrooms . Guest bedroom 1 has a queen bed and also has fantastic views overlooking the pond with direct access to the upper deck. Guest bedroom 3 has a twin daybed . There is a bathroom located in the hallway right outside these bedrooms

Den:
The upper floor also contains an oversized den with television , sofa , and desk .

Upper Deck:
The upper deck encompasses the entire southern and eastern exposures of the house. There are multiple seating and viewing areas.
