Located next to the Delaware River, the cottage is ideal for swimming, fishing, kayaking, hiking and mountain biking activities.

- Deposit, NY is just 5 miles away (a 10-minute drive).
- Hancock, NY, a charming fishing town in Delaware County, surrounded by rivers and the Catskill Mountains—famous for trout fishing—is 9 miles away (a 14-minute drive).
Hancock offers concerts on the town square every Friday evening during the summer, as well as a farmers' market on Saturday mornings. There are also many charming cafés available.

The cottage features two bedrooms on the upper floor, accessible via a staircase:
- The first bedroom is furnished with a Queen bed.
- The second bedroom has two Twin beds.
The living room includes a brand-new Queen sofa bed from Joybird.
The cottage can accommodate up to 6 people, but it will be more comfortable for 4, as the dining table, both inside and on the deck, is designed for 4 people with 4 chairs.
However, a garden side table can be used to dine with 6 people, either inside the cottage or on the terrace.

I love animals — I have a Samoyed and a cat myself.
However, for the safety of pets and the community, please keep dogs on a leash while on the property and around the lake, as requested by our neighbors.

Our charming lake-front cottage offers the perfect, relaxing getaway from the city. The property has a large deck, private dock, and is located on a 40-acre private lake that is motor-sport friendly. The cottage has wifi, a fireplace, bbq, and a fully-equipped kitchen.
The fantastic outdoor space offers many hours of entertainment, with swimming, grilling, and a fire pit. We are also close to trout fishing.

The space
Our cottage is cozy and rustic. While it is clean and comfy and with mostly everything you need in the property, it isn't modern. Perfect for people who are looking to relax, have fun, be surrounded by nature, and who want to enjoy a cabin-like stay.
We are in the countryside so you may hear animals outside the house or in the walls every now and then (chipmunks love visiting but they stay outside). Please avoid leaving the doors open and put all food away. We do our best to provide a great experience, but if the presence of certain aspects of nature like the occasional spider web bothers you, this might not be the place for you. We love nature and life, and understand we can't control every aspect of it.
The lake is man-made so it isn't as clear as other lakes (still very pretty!). Note that swimming depends on weather/water conditions, such as if it rains or not, and while most of the time swimming is fine, if you don't think the water is or looks good for swimming, that is something we can’t predict or test, so you may use your own judgment. Please accept this before making a reservation as we can’t say for sure.

- Please note that the dishwasher is portable (it's automatic but you have to drag it and connect it to the kitchen sink).

- Please note that there are quiet hours (10:00pm-7am). During quiet hours you may still be outside enjoying, but you must be mindful of the volume of your voice/music.

-Please note there is no central AC/heater, but we do have a mini split (for ac and heat), a window AC, a fan, and space and wall heaters.

Our two homes are not large, but they have everything you need and have been the site of tremendous joy and fun for us and our friends and family for many years.
We're right on the river and have a ton of land for running around, kicking a ball, having an evening s'mores hang, or just chilling on the deck.
The ultimate three-season fly fishing retreat spot is located in Hancock, NY (about 2-2.5 hours from NYC). Perfect for a family vacation or a romantic getaway. The stunning riverfront property has two small houses, each with its own deck, and kayaks, a canoe, floats & paddle boards for easy river fun.
The main house comfortably fits two adults in the primary bedroom with a king bed, and two young children (about 6 years or under) in a small room with mini-bunkbeds. This house has a kitchen, small living room, wood stove, full bathroom & grill. The second house (both included in the rental) is an open studio configuration with a queen bed and living area, a large tv & full bathroom with bathtub/shower (this house sleeps a maximum of five, with two in the queen bed, one on the twin trundle and two on couches).
