Guests tell me the photos don't do the cottage and property justice. Read our reviews. Very private. Clean. Lots of space. Drive down to the beach. The East side of Seneca Lake has lots of sun and beautiful sunsets. 100 foot dock. New windows, doors and mini-split ac/heat. Ten miles from Geneva for shopping, movies, and food. Two Five Star restaurants within 15 miles. Each year we renovate another part of our little cottage and many of our guests and their pets return every year. One bedroom with two double beds and a large living room with one pull out couch can sleep 4. Cottage is 880 square feet so best for 2-4 people. Minimum stay is 3 nights except July and August when we only rent by the week (Saturday 3 pm to Saturday 10 am). Cozy but may be too small for anyone 6 foot 2 or over. New kitchen appliances, cupboards, air conditioning, and microwave. We added a pellet stove for visits in the early spring or late fall for wine tours, an aluminum boat for fishing, a canoe and 2 kayaks for sunsets on the lake. Enjoy the quiet - pets welcome. Guests and their pets return every year. One of the few places with no stairs to the lake. Everyone enjoys swimming in the lake, laying on the dock, visiting the wineries (we have three within 7 miles and a brewery) and local restaurants. Others have ventured to Ithaca, Rochester, and Canandaigua to visit museums, gourmet restaurants, and historic sites. The bedroom is above the lake so when you wake up in the morning, you can see right onto the lake. The kitchen and dining area are on the bottom floor and look right onto the water. There are many places to walk including a two mile hike up to Sampson State Park.

If you need to get away from the stress of your life, this is the place.

Enjoy the Lake: This is NOT for you IF you want a high energy vacation. See the herons land on the dock each evening and the ducklings come by each morning. The waves will rock you to sleep. Swim and kayak during the day. Take out the rowboat to fish. Have beach fires at night and visit our many wonderful wineries, breweries, and restaurants nearby. WIFI but no cable TV (just DVD movies). We suggest you relax and get away. This is truly the country and as our friend Simon says, "They aren't building any more lakes."

A fully stocked kitchen will provide you with everything you need to cook an amazing meal for your family. The kitchen has plenty of cupboard and counter space for easy meal preparation. A full pantry is available for your personal food. Dining area includes room for 6 or serve dinner on the deck while enjoying the amazing lake view. The living room is spacious and has comfortable seating. On a cold winter's night, cozy up in the rocker, turn on the fireplace and watch the snow gently falling over the lake offering an entirely new experience!

This very private cottage is conveniently located 10 miles north of Ithaca, two miles from Trumansburg, and two miles past Taughannock State Park, in the heart of Finger Lakes wine country. Parking is on same level as the cottage, perched between Cayuga Lake and green woodland. Sturdy staircase leads down to Cayuga Lake, where there is ample space for relaxing and enjoying lakeside activities.

First floor of this very appealing 1,250 square foot cottage includes a full kitchen with dining area offering a memorable view; a living room with a decorative stone fireplace and mahogany floor; and a large, bright sitting room with a sofa bed, converting to a downstairs bedroom.

The second floor features two generous bedrooms and a bath. The downstairs sitting room has beautiful, sweeping lake views and opens via a sliding glass door to a 25-foot-long wood deck overlooking the lake. With Adirondack chairs along with a patio table and chairs, the deck is a perfect spot to kick back, relax and enjoy the outstanding view.

Twin Pines Cottage sleeps up to 6 persons - two in each second floor bedroom, and two in the first floor sitting room. All floors are natural wood. The cottage, outfitted with electric heat, is insulated and features an air conditioner in the living room along with ceiling fans in each bedroom. Next to the cottage is a generous parking area with a large lawn and extensive woods beyond. Outside the kitchen is an additional deck with a charcoal grill.

Down the staircase, 90 feet of lakefront offers a dock and lakeside cabana with a table and chairs, mini-refrigerator and fishing gear. Lakeside there are lawn chairs for relaxing, a picnic table and a fire ring for memorable beach campfires.

The cottage interior offers a number of Adirondack-lodge style features including a fieldstone fireplace, barnwood accents, hand-crafted wood entry doors and wood trim with the tree bark intact. Comfortable contemporary furnishings and antique accents combine to create a pleasing, classic interior ambiance. Twin Pines is furnished with two sofas, a recliner, a convertible sofa bed and Oriental rugs. The eat-in kitchen with beautiful granite countertops and oak cabinets is fully equipped. Located on a quiet side road 30 min from Ithaca and 5 min from Treleaven Winery, our four season lakehouse is ideal for family time at the lake or a romantic getaway. The house is comfortable and thoughtfully furnished. With a sunny flat yard, hot tub, deck, new lakeside shack, kayaks, long dock, shady grass patio by the water, fire pit and rec room, there are lots of spaces to spread out. We face the afternoon sun and sunsets, and have deep, clear water. Sit by the lake and feel your blood pressure drop! New pictures coming in May...

Our cottage was built in 1951 and is 1100 square feet. We bought it in 2020 and spent over a year and a half remodeling every room, converting the wood floor garage into a recreation room, and building a new lakeside shack by the shore. We've tried for the "looks like its always been there" design approach and used sustainable materials and energy options.

The living room looks out to the lake with a large window and is open the kitchen. It has ductless heat pump/air conditioning and a pellet stove. The kitchen is fully supplied, including a dishwasher. Next to the living room is a dining area and den/TV room, which has a new high quality queen size sleeper sofa and curtains to create privacy. The main bedroom has a new queen size bed and a large window facing the lake, and the second bedroom has two twin size beds with new mattresses. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination and there is a washer and dryer. We have drinkable filtered well water.

In the back yard we have a hot tub and a new deck with a table, chairs and gas grill. The flat yard is a nice place for yard games and we have a fire pit with supplied wood. There are about twenty steps to reach the shoreline area, which is very few compared with most Cayuga lake properties.

The converted recreation room has a ping pong table, couch and chair, "vintage" boombox, and board games.

At the shore there is a nice shady area in the summer for sitting and the new shack with a mini fridge, cozy/romantic lighting, couch and table. The dock extends out to a deep section of the lake and is wonderful for jumping into the water. We have kayaks, paddle boards and life vests for guests to use. (Not available late Nov. through April for cold water safety)

The neighbors along the lake are a nice community of people that know each other well. There are a couple neighbor's dogs that are allowed to wander around off leash. They are friendly, but you may encounter them occasionally in the yard.

Located on the Cayuga Wine Trail and 8 miles to the Seneca Wine Trail. Travel down a long gravel driveway to a modern cottage hidden back in the trees. There are also board games, crossword puzzles, and card games at the cottage if you prefer to stay in. Beautiful open floor plan with fully equipped kitchen for your cooking needs. Kitchen features a coffee bar with a Keurig and complimentary k-cups(coffee, decaf, cocoa, and tea) along with sugar, sugar substitutes, sugar free flavors, and creamers to make your favorite cup of joe.
The cottage has a well, because it is so far back from the road, so once in a while there may be some smell from the water. We do use special water filters so the water is good to drink, cook, and bathe in. We have a Brita water filtration pitcher and bottled water if guests prefer.
For the wine and beer enthusiasts you could stay for weeks and still not manage to visit all the wide array of wineries and breweries in the area! Don’t worry though, we are taking the liberty of providing a detailed list for you at the cottage.
There are plenty of activities to do in the area too. Located on the Cayuga snow mobile trail if guests want to bring their sleds with them to ride. Sheldrake and Deans Cove public boat launches are minutes away for boating enthusiasts. Boat rentals are available in the area. Taughannak Falls and Seneca State Park offer hiking trails and beach swimming. Sampson State Park has miles of bike paths to enjoy. There are also many golf courses in the area. Deer Haven Park offers tours to observe the biggest herd of white deer around protected by 24 miles of fencing.
Other area attractions within an hour of the cottage include Bristol Mountain Ski Resort, Greek Peak Indoor Water Park, Watkins Glen International Raceway, Cayuga Lake Boat Cruises, Museum of the Earth, Waterloo Premium Outlet Mall, and the Del Lago Casino.

It's a rural area so you may hear equipment, cows, and other country noises. You may hear coyotes, owls, fox, and other wildlife. Near the cottage are a couple of older outbuildings with a country feel.

It is located on a one lane, private road, that extends to the Blind Sodus Bay peninsula. You will be surrounded by water and wildlife. The neighborhood is peaceful and relaxing.

Grandma’s cottage has been in our family for 60+ years. This place truly is an old family cottage. It has been modernized over the years with hot & cold running water, a shower & propane heat. Things it did not have when I stayed there as a child. It was always furnished/decorated with mismatched items handed down from family & friends. That was ok with Grandma. “It’s just a cottage”. That decorating style has carried on throughout the years giving the cottage an eclectic charm.

Swimming access is across the lane. It is a walk-in, sandy bottom. No dock. A fairly large grassy area with picnic table is located at the swimming area.

This is an owner operated cottage, no seedy management op.

Airbnb automatically categorizes us as a "lake front" property but it is more of a "lake view" property. No direct lake access, but you can see it from the patio.

The space
Full access to the entire house (other then the basement, which has its own door). There’s a nice indoor porch, a small living room, two full bathrooms, a large kitchen with a counter-height dining area, a small bedroom, and a gorgeous upstairs converted attic (it’s insulated! so nice and warm) with huge windows on both sides.

The whole house! Just not the basement. There’s no entrance from the house itself anyway.

Our cottage is a small 2 bedroom 1 bath cottage on Honeoye Lake. It has a master bedroom with a queen bed, and a second bedroom with 3 twin beds. Come stay for the fishing, wine/cheese/craft beer trails, camp fires or any of the other great attractions the Finger Lakes region has to offer. If you have a boat, the state boat launch park is approximately 1 mile south of our cottage and you are more than welcome to keep it at our dock during your stay.

The space
This is a 1950s build cottage and is mostly still true to this motif. The house has been updated in terms of having TV and internet, but still fits much of the 1950s style.

"Our Happy Place" is right on the water. You’ll love the sounds of the waves lapping up against the rocks as you sip your morning cup of coffee on the covered front porch; swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoeing( both provided); Finger Lakes scenery and many celebrated wineries and breweries; hiking at the nearby parks and trails; campfires in the evening as you watch the sunset and the moon-rise over the lake. "Our Happy Place" is great for couples, solo adventurers and kids of all ages.

The space
The open floor plan makes this quint cottage roomy and spacious. You will live on the large porch overlooking the water in all types of weather. The huge picture windows look directly out on the water, as if you were on a boat.

Guest access
You will have access to the full property. Canoe, two kayaks and life jackets are available for your use. Motor boat and boat hoist is not available for guest use, sorry. Some of the owners belongings are in the utility room. Water shoes are recommended. Many stairs to the main entrance and one more flight to the lakeshore.

The cottage is approximately 1000 square feet one level cottage. To access the cottage from the parking area there is a steep gravel walking path, and wooden stairs to lake level. The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and bonus sun room, plus an extensive deck. The cottage comfortably sleeps one family.

This cottage has unlimited high-speed wifi, with smart T.V's located in the living room and both bedrooms.

The cottage has a small but open floor plan kitchen. We have provided the basic cooking equipment and dishware items.

Outside is a propane grill for your use during the stay.

The cottage has approximately 90’ of waterfront access. Outdoor space includes the expansive deck directly on the water, and small dock in addition to small area with grass. This is a populated shoreline area with several neighbors.

3 single person adult size kayaks, 1 hard shell standup paddle board, and a youth single person kayak available for use.

Fishing poles abound at the cottage. Owasco Lake is known as one of the best fishing lakes in central New York.

Other things to note
Pull in at Firelane 1 vs 2; near Charlie’s Lakeside Grilland head left up the hill. Guests can park (max two spots) in any of the open spots in front of the garage. Gravel pathway to lower house is to the right of the garage, it is steep, please note children should be monitored.

Filtered lake water is our water source. Used for bathing, washing dishes, coffee, cooking etc. Many of us drink it, but many do prefer spring water.

Parking is approximately 150 feet uphill from the cottage.
