___ The cottage is located on 1st lake, at the end of a cove and much quieter than other places. This area has less boat traffic so you will feel good about your teenagers kayaking and fishing on their own. You won't get jet skis going back and forth. Just an 8-minute drive from Old Forge, this private cottage has everything you could need on an Adirondack vacation.
___ SANDY BEACH ___ The sandy beach area has gradual walk-in, perfect for kids to play in the water, it’s shallow enough, quite a way’s out so lots of space for the kids to splash about. The sandy beach provides easy lake access for getting kayaks in and out of the lake.
___ LOONS ___ We have Loon Family’s living in the cove on 1st Lake. Pack your binoculars so you can be thrilled by loon sightings swimming about, whose sound is so symbolic of the Adirondacks. The loon wail or long howl is used to re-establish contact with a separated mate. Male loons have a unique yodel, a series of repeated alternating high and low notes, that advertise their territory.
___ FISHING ___ Fishing must be good as Loons primarily diet is fish. The Fulton Chain of Lakes has Bass, Bullhead, Perch, Pike, Tiger Muskie, Trout and Sunfish. New York State stocks Trout and Tiger Muskellunge in the spring.
___ DOCK ___ You can park a power boat all week at the dock; high water mark is nominally three (3) feet water depth at the end of dock. A full-service Marina in town with rental boats, Boat Launch, Marine Store and Non-Ethanol gas. Kayak & Pontoon rentals available in town. Power outlets on dock to recharge your Trolling Motor Batteries.
___ THE YARD ___ The lake side has a raised porch and lower slate patio with gas grill are on the sunny side of the property. Sit in Adirondack chairs or the built-in picnic table style bench that make for an enjoyable lunch facing the lake. You can watch the kids swimming or playing in the grassy yard. At night enjoy the outside fire pit, lessening to the loons.
___ AIR CONDITIONING with CLIMATE CONTROL ___ The Heat Pump System provides both Air Conditioning & Heat. A Heat pump functions as an Air Conditioner in the summer and a heater in the winter as long as the outside air temperature is above freezing. When the outside temp drops below Zero, the back-up, “Propane Furnace” will provide “Auxiliary Heat”.

Beautiful and recently remodeled lakefront home with 5 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms located off of South Shore Road, on the channel, between the Old Forge Pond and First Lake. The kitchen is beautiful with new cabinets, granite counter tops and wood floors. The wood floors continue into the family room and the first floor bedroom. All bedrooms were redone with all knotty pine walls and brand new carpets!! The entire camp has knotty pine walls and is beautifully furnished. The camp was re-painted in 2019! It is so cozy!

The living room has a wood burning fireplace and plenty of windows facing the lake! The living also includes a cable TV with a DVD player. High-speed WiFi is also provided.

The Kitchen is fully furnished and includes a nicely sized dining area. The camp has two bathrooms. One on the first floor with a bathtub and one on the second floor with a shower. The first-floor bath includes a washer and dryer! There is one bedroom with a full-size bed on the first floor!

There are four large bedrooms upstairs! One with a king bed, two with queen beds and one with two twin beds!

Please note: Linens are not included in the rental. There are bedspreads and pillows on each bed!

Enjoy the sandy bottom shallow waterfront, perfect for swimming and fishing. There is plenty of space to dock your boat or PWC’s in the boat slip. In the evening, enjoy a campfire or cook a wonderful dinner on our new outdoor gas grill! Dine on the deck as the sun goes down. Enjoy all that the ADK has to offer!

- "Cabin was perfectly sized for my two kids and I. We were able to fish off the dock, kayak, canoe, swim and the proximity to Old Forge is less than 5 minutes. All in all, a great time!" - "We loved this cottage and the location! The cottage was extremely clean and bug-free (we've stayed in other locations before that had a lot of spider webs & crickets, but this unit was very well maintained & bug-free!) The cottage has a beautiful fireplace and a beautiful small kitchen with granite countertops, fridge, gas stove & micro, coffee pot & tea kettle. There is no dishwasher so consider bringing paper plates & plastic cups. It has a reclining leather couch and the bedding was in very good shape, comfortable and clean. They provide linens, blankets and bath towels. The cottage is decorated very nicely and they have thought of everything when it comes to maximizing space. You have your own private campfire with comfortable Adirondack chairs. Another nice amenity is that you are able to park your vehicle right in front of the cottage instead of using the upper parking lot. This came in handy when it was raining. Grounds were very nicely maintained, 2 really nice large waterfront decks and if you kayak, you can put your kayak in right at their dock. Very dark at night, so bring a flashlight for outdoors & night-lights for inside. The weather was not in our favor so we were not able to ride our bikes, but had it been better, we could have ridden into town. We enjoyed meeting Emanuela & Jon who were extremely nice and accommodating. We are planning to return to this cottage later this summer/Fall. Don't wait to rent it, you will not be disappointed!!"

- "Great place to find. Love the newness of the cabin. So cute and location is wonderful. So close to Old Forge but just far enough away so not in the middle of busy town. The lake access was key. Love being on the lake and the different decks available for sitting areas. And to be able to bring our 2 Shih-Tzu’s was the best. We will be back. Didn’t realize we were getting the open floor plan studio. Next time will go for the 1 bedroom. Five stars in our book."
