- "Beautiful cabin in beautiful setting. Cabin was well furnished, had well stocked kitchen, and modern amenities. There were lots of attractions within 30 minute, scenic drives from the cabin such as Tanglewood, Monument Mountain, and other Berkshire and Columbia County attractions. Avid cyclists will find smooth roads with good shoulders and light traffic. As noted n another review, there is a rail line about one mile from the cabin, thus inevitable noise on occasion. It was well worth the trade off for the peace and quiet that otherwise prevailed for 99% of the time. Given its setting, this cabin would be a great destination for foliage season and spring blooms. We will look forward to future returns, as well as recommend it to friends."

Guests at Shaker Meadows are welcome to use the 1/2+ mile of walking paths around the fields, hiking paths in the woods, the spacious lawns on the north and south sides of the buildings, and the shared grill and fire pit.

Know before you book:
-WiFi & cell coverage: Cell coverage is uneven in rural NY and varies by provider. You may have very weak cell coverage depending on your provider.
Wifi: We have upgraded to the ISP's highest level of service. We have consistently been able to have multiple adults on video conferences for hours at a time. However, some guests have reported inconsistent access to Wifi, possibly influenced by so many people in the area working from home and using video.

-Noise: State Rt 22 runs right past the farm (see aerial map). The noise from the road is audible.

-Pets: We allow guests to bring well-behaved pets with them. Guests with allergies may want to be aware that buildings may have previously had pets in them.

-Animals & bugs: Keep in mind that Shaker Meadows is a farm with lots of animals and insects around. You may be able to see deer, fireflies, rabbits, barn swallows, and redwinged blackbirds...and may also encounter ladybugs (who love to come inside where it's warm), mosquitos, and ticks. We recommend wearing bug spray when exploring the outdoor spaces! We clean the farmhouse consistently, but bugs and critters often find their way inside, so please help us by keeping doors closed.

-No commercial use, loud parties: We do not allow guests to make bookings with clients or use the AirBnb for commercial purposes. Large or loud parties are prohibited. Permission required from hosts before inviting additional guests.

Our cottage is offered to those guests who are looking to relax & enjoy peace & quiet. NO LOUD MUSIC or parties! (Which is not allowed) C Yes, we have Wi - Fi so you can do your computer work while being safe and enjoy the beautiful sunset & other views from inside the cottage, indoor or outdoor porch. We are offering our lovely cottage to those who want to relax and enjoy life from May 1st thru November 15th. The docks and outside deck re stained.
To be fair to all our guests, weekly rentals are from Friday - Friday ( Thank you ) Our cottage is right on beautiful Kinderhook lake. Walk down the porch & the lake is 10' away right off lawn & The Empire State Trail is only 200' away for those who like to bike walk or both and see beautiful scenery including pastures, streams horses and horse farms!
There are kayaks for your use or bring your own kayaks canoes or boats & tie them up to one of the two docks. Fishing is great and you could fish off the dock, porch or front lawn if you wanted to! The house has 2 ac units and a forced hot air heater. There is no better way to relax then to have dinner or just a few cold ones and enjoy the view of the lake. BBQ, table with umbrella, seating for 6 & lounges on outside deck. Also has inside porch with dining table, couch, tv & ac. Less than 2 hrs. from NYC about 45 minutes from Albany, Monticello, so everything is close. It is all ready for a week or weekend getaway with your family & friends, (Just bring your own linens, 1 queen & 1 double bed) or a romantic weekend getaway for u & your special someone. It has a full kitchen, complete with 4 burner stove, oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, all needed cookware, dinner plates for 6, utensils & even a new coffee maker. It sleeps 4 comfortably with 2 bedrooms. It has a full bath with a shower. The Hudson River Rail Trail is nearby!! So come and relax and enjoy. Thank you in advance for looking. Just a heads up to our guests that the lake gets lowered around October 15th so fishing, kayaking and swimming will not be available. We would definitely like to return to this house for vacation again."

The homeowner provided beach towels and floats which was great. There is a large umbrella and chaise lounges poolside. Everything was so well maintained - lots of pretty flowers. One day during our stay it had rained so we chilled out in a large living room with comfy couches and a nice TV. It was very peaceful there and we were able to enjoy time away from the hustle & bustle of life! The bedrooms were super comfortable - equipped with a ceiling fan and A/C. The shower was large and they provided shampoo & body wash - very nice touch. We were so happy to be able to spend time here, and are looking forward to our weekend getaway next year! - "Lots of amenities to enjoy including the well stocked kitchen, beautiful deck with chaise recliners, patio table and chairs, games, a charcoal grill, and, of course, the lake! The bed is also very comfortable. Walking down to the water takes about 2 minutes. The grassy area in front of the water has tons of Adirondack chairs, fire pits, paddle boards and kayaks to use. There’s a small dock to jump off of. We reached out to the hosts several times and each time they were very response, once even driving up to bring us an extra game. We grilled, played croquet and bocce (included!), and enjoyed the lake. There are 5 cabins in a row (you can see the neighbors decks) and a larger house coming online soon. This would be an awesome spot for a family reunion or gathering of friends."

The Cottage is a 2 minute walk to a Hudson River estuary known as the Kinderhook Creek. The cottage itself has the comforts of a warm and cozy pellet stove, a whirlpool tub, A/C for those warm days and the front porch has two ceiling fans for those warm evenings when you want to sit outside and see the night sky.

Very comfortable three-bedroom cottage in a quiet, private association on Queechy Lake. Perfect for families. Hi-speed Spectrum internet, AllClad cookware, electric range, microwave, sharp knives, coffee maker, charcoal BBQ, and tons of places to hike. Apple TV and a Bose Bluetooth soundbar. There’s a large Solo Stove firepit as well as 2 kayaks and a paddle board for tooling around the lake. Close to supermarkets. 15 minutes to Tanglewood!

The space
The house is decorated with vintage furniture sourced from the area. The kitchen is fully stocked with Henckel knives and All-Clad pots & pans for the induction range - we stocked it as we stock our own home (too many frustrating, random European AirBnb kitchens encountered....). Dine out on the huge deck or the screened-in porch. The area is very quiet and peaceful. The house is on a dead-end lane that is perfect for kids to ride their bikes back and forth on. There’s also a Solo Stove for marshmallow roasting!

The private beach/swimming area you see in the photos is a 5-minute walk from the house. You'll also have use of 2 kayaks. Please note the Association Rules which are posted.

Other things to note
**The Association has rules that must be followed by all guests.** Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. The big grocery stores are 20 minutes either to the east in Pittsfield, MA, or west in Chatham, NY. Plenty of farmers markets and farm stores in the area, too.

Nestled on a quiet, side street just a two-minute walk to Kinderhook's beautiful Village Square, the cottage is situated in a garden setting next to the property's early 19th-century main house. With a bedroom sleeping two in a queen-size bed and a twin daybed for one in the open-space living room with French doors, the house sleeps 3 comfortably. An eat-in kitchen with electric cooktop, refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, and toaster oven offers the possibility for guests to prepare their own meals from freshly picked ingredients from local farms.

Other things to note
The twin-size daybed in the cottage's living room doubles as a place to relax but also as a bed for a third guest or for one of two guests who may not want to share the bedroom accommodation. The living room daybed is not normally fitted with bedding unless required for guests' stay. We ask that guests let us know prior to arrival if they require the daybed to be ready as a sleeping location during their stay. Letting us know prior to arrival gives us time to put full bedding on the daybed.

Watch the boats pass by as you enjoy the views from this stylish riverfront camp in the heart of the Capital District. Towpath Landing is a collection of 18 waterfront cabins that I am bringing back to life. Cabin Bleu has expansive views of the Erie Canal/Mohawk River, fully stocked kitchen with granite, huge front porch with table, grill and relaxing chairs PLUS a screened in back porch for relaxing with a woods view. This is served by filtered river water so bring drinking water.

The space
You will not believe this incredibly peaceful spot is in the heart of the capital district - so peaceful watching the boats go by free kayak use. There is also a shed stocked with games for indoor and outdoor fun. If you paddle left under the twin bridges (and go a little past for a great place to eat called the Klamm'r, or go right right and kayak through the peacefulness of the Vischer Ferry Preserve. It is on the Vischer ferry bike trail - an incredible hike and bile nature preserve. Or kayak to the sandbar across the way and take a go at the rope swing (all at your own risk - of course).

This is my favorite of all 19 cabins here at Towpath Landing! 200 degree water views from huge deck just feet from the water and serene privacy - there is a shed on the property not another cabin. Super romantic with a huge fire pit and your own little beachy kayak launch. Vischer Ferry bike trail borders the property for biking, hiking and kayaking. Vaulted beamed ceiling and full walls of glass make for crazy views overlooking the river. Serviced by filtered river water. SO SO PEACEFUL HERE!

Towpath Landing is a 50+ acre peninsula in the heart of the Capital District!Take a kayak to the island sandbar. Full kitchen, bathroom with new shower, fire pit, gas grill. There is shed stocked with games for indoor and outdoor fun. Bring your bike because we are at the start of the trail. These cabins are not great for accessibly challenged people or kids (as it is on the river). I do plan on making some cabins handicap accessible soon! I allow a dog or two but it must remain leashed outdoors. This is a cute unique experience but it is woods and a river with bugs and animals.

Entry at the end of a private road. First floor of cottage has ramp access, but property is not fully wheelchair accessible.

You'll have the whole house and grounds to yourself, but the garage will be locked.

Other things to note
Any activity in the water carries inherent danger, including risk of injury or drowning. Please use caution at all times, and ensure that children are always supervised.

We are fully immersed in nature, which comes with risks from animals, insects, and plants. Please be aware of your surroundings at all times, wear protective clothing where necessary, supervise children, and act responsibly.

GRILL: A propane grill is available for your use, and propane will be provided. Please remember to turn off the propane tank, clean and replace grill tools after each use.

FIREPLACE, FIRE PIT, CANDLES, FIREWORKS: Guests MUST follow posted safety procedure for using the fireplace, and are required to use ONLY Duraflame Firelogs. Other wood may be used in the outdoor fire pit. NO candles or other indoor fire outside the fireplace. NO fireworks may be used on the property. All fire (indoor and out) must be extinguished thoroughly before renters turn in to sleep, or leave the house. Use water to extinguish flames. Fire extinguisher provided, but should only be used for emergencies.

CLEANING: Please understand that we believe in paying a living wage and fairly compensating our cleaners. They work hard to provide guests with a clean place and welcoming environment. All bed linens, hand towels, dish towels, and bath towels will be washed, and all counter surfaces are sanitized between each guest. Cleaning fee goes directly to the cleaners, and pays for cleaning supplies.

Sits on a huge lawn with a large deck surrounded by birds and apple trees. Perfect for city dwellers looking to immerse in the simplicity of nature's beauty.

The space
This renovated 1960's Popular Mechanics kit-home consists of a great room/common area, 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath and a kitchen with a dining area. The great room closes off with a door and has a pull out couch which can accommodate 2 people and has plenty of space for an added air mattress.

The great room has a smart TV, a wood burning stove as well as an office space with a desk. High speed internet provided throughout the cottage as well as out on the deck and the yard.

Large deck and lawn for outdoor activities and events (with the approval from hosts). Hiking trails on property behind the cottage.

Guest access
Guests will have access to full cottage EXCEPT FOR STORAGE ROOM AND SHED. They will also have access to 63 acres of land for hiking and exploring.

Other things to note
Guests can have access to Adams Point Beach at Queechy Lake in the summers for swimming and kayaking only 15 minutes from the cottage.

This is a very Quaint family cottage on Burden Lake in Averill Park, NY. You have access to fishing and kayaks. Beautiful deck that over looks lake. 20 minutes to Berkshire’s for hiking, and 45 to Historic Saratoga. 20 minutes to Albany, 25 to historic Hudson, NY

Plenty of parking and yard space to play games. Outdoor fire pit, gas fire pit, dock, outdoor patio, and Adirondack chairs to relax around. Swim, fish and kayak on this 1 mile lake that leads into 2 smaller lakes. Internet, 2 TVs.
