Clean and well supplied." - "If you are lucky enough to stay in a cabin on a lake in the mountains you are lucky enough! The cabin has years on it but that leads to its charm. It was very clean and well kept. We were able to sit in the chairs right on the lake, which was awesome. The area is amazing. We were there just past fall peak, so it was very quiet. Our only struggle was with communication. We did not receive any directions prior to arrival, even after an email and phone call. Turns out the directions to enter the cabin were IN THE CABIN. The door was unlocked and the key was on the table. Just felt kind of weird letting ourselves in. There are a couple other cabins on the site and then the owners cabin. All were empty, so we weren't really sure what was going on. In addition the directions said to put trash in the shed with the electric fence around it. There were no instructions on how to get around the fence! It seemed obvious, but I would hate to make a mistake and get shocked. We took a chance based on what made sense and were able to dispose of trash as directed. Other than that is was fantastic. I would definitely stay there again. "

The Big Cottage, with large deck overlooking the lake, has 2 bedrooms, each with a full size bed, a living room with new gas insert in stone fireplace and a twin pull-out sofa bed and two chairs. This cottage sleeps 5 comfortably. It has knotty pine walls, ceilings and wide plank floors. Living room and enclosed lake view porch is carpeted. The recently updated kitchen has cabinets, granite counter tops, gas cooking stove/oven and refrigerator. The kitchen is also equipped with a microwave, toaster & coffee maker. Dishes, glassware, utensils and pots & pans are also supplied. Small Jack & Jill bathroom has stand up shower, toilet and sink.
The Studio Cottage, (Vrbo listing #1645529) with large deck overlooking the lake, has a queen size bed and a day bed. It has knotty pine walls, ceilings and wood floors. The kitchen is recently updated with new cabinets, granite counter top and gas cooking stove/oven. Also has a large refrigerator. Both cottages are lake view and lake access and share a dock. You can watch the 4th of July fireworks from the deck and hear the loons in the evenings. Cottages are walking distance to town with grocery stores, restaurants, shops, seaplane rides and town beach.
NOTE: The property is laid out on 3 elevational levels. There is plenty of parking at the top level, accessible to the middle level by a slight incline and about 10 stairs. The cottage is at the middle level and the beach is at the bottom of a steep incline. There is a vehicle drop off area about 50 feet from the cottage. There is a somewhat steep staircase to a rocky shore with sandy beach and dock. Not handicap accessible.

Bay View is the first cottage to greet visitors to Motel Long Lake & Cottages. Located next to the motel building, it offers quick access to the office, paddling equipment room, and beach. It is also one of a few cottages that have air conditioning units for the bedrooms.

Living area has a sofa, LCD TV with DISH Network and DVD player and recliner. Uniquely among our buildings, Bay View has a wood-burning stove that provides perfect ambiance.

The kitchen includes a gas range oven, dish washer, refrigerator, and microwave. The back door opens onto a covered and screened in porch.

There is a bedroom at each end of the building. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom has two twin size beds.

Bay View's full bathroom also has a shower that includes a bathtub.

From the living room, the stairs left of the fireplace lead to two bedrooms off the large porch. Each has a twin and a queen bed for a total of four beds. At the top of the stairs to the right of the fireplace is the master bedroom with a king size bed and en suite bathroom.

Bridge View and Lake View (pictured here on the right and left respectively) are in a league of their own. Drawing inspiration from the architecture of southern Poland's alpine mountains, these twin buildings also recall the comfort and grandeur of the Adirondack Great Camps of the 19th century.

The first floor includes a large living area with ample seating, LCD TV including Dish network, and a wood burning fireplace. The many windows allow plenty of natural light. The large front porch is a perfect place to relax or enjoy a meal.

Owl's nest sits in the woods just behind Sunset (Cottage #3). Being behind the shoreline cottages, the view from the long screened in porch is quiet with very little foot traffic coming this way. The sheltering trees are sparse enough to allow glimpses of the lake also.

Living area has a sofa, LCD TV with DISH Network and DVD player and a dining table. The full kitchen has a range oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave.

Owl's Nest has a full bathroom with stall shower that--like many bathrooms on the property--benefits from sunshine let in through the skylight. The two bedrooms each have a twin size and a queen size bed.

Cottage 9 has been renovated twice since the Stryszowski family began running Motel Long Lake & Cottages. Now, the Big Ledge is as much an expression of craftsmanship as it is a beautiful place to stay. Harkening back to the rustic elegance of Adirondack Great Camps, cedar trim throughout compliments the custom built cedar furniture.

The first floor includes a large living area with LCD TV including Dish network and a DVD player) and fireplace. Next to the living room is a half bath. Off of the dining room is a bedroom with a queen size bed and an en suite bathroom with shower.

The first floor's dining and kitchen space provide room for your entire group to enjoy meals together. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, range and oven, dishwasher, and microwave as well as plenty of cabinet space.

The second floor has three bedrooms all connected to a hallway that ends in a full bathroom. All upstairs bedrooms have king size beds and windows looking out through the tree tops toward the lake.

Bridge View and Lake View (pictured here on the right and left respectively) are in a league of their own. Drawing inspiration from the architecture of southern Poland's alpine mountains, these twin buildings also recall the comfort and grandeur of the Adirondack Great Camps of the 19th century.

The first floor includes a large living area with ample seating, LCD TV including Dish network, and a wood burning fireplace. The many windows allow plenty of natural light. The large front porch is a perfect place to relax or enjoy a meal.

The full kitchen includes a range oven, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator.
