A beautifully situated cabin with panoramic views of Long Lake and the surrounding mountains. Our seasonal retreat is built in the authentic Adirondack boathouse camp style from 1917 typical of Long Lake, and has been converted with all modern amenities required for a relaxing authentic getaway in the mountains and all that encapsulates the essence of boathouse living in this historic structure. The dryland Boathouse, built to accompany Camp Kee-oh-Nekh, sits feet from the water and housed boats during the winter months with an upstairs billiards and game room through the 1990s.

While maintaining its unique Adirondack charm, the Boathouse boasts a modern kitchen, four bedrooms that sleep eight, 1.5 baths, a spacious open floor-plan living space, 100 feet of waterfront, and a dock with deep water boat access. First-floor heating and air-conditioning are supplemented by a wood stove, which keeps the cabin cozy during cool spring and fall days but bring along extra layers for those cool mornings in the mountains for this 3 season's cabin! The beautiful natural setting is a great asset with a long and winding unpaved drive past beautiful forestland to our lakefront cabin. You will want to drive more slowly than you think to take in the beauty! The natural stone-step path brings you down the hill from the parking area to the Boathouse and water’s edge. The indoors seamlessly meets with the outdoors at the Boathouse, whether you’re relaxing in the sun at our small sandy beach, drinking your morning coffee on the deck as the mist clears over the water, or opening the tri-fold front doors to listen to boats on the lake and breathe in the crisp mountain air.

Pulling yourself away from the Boathouse can be difficult, but plenty of amenities await your exploration in the Central Adirondacks. The famous Adirondack Experience in Blue Mtn. Lake, the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, hiking up Coney Mountain, Owls Head Mountain, or Castle Rock are all great options nearby.

Oh and don't forget to enjoy lakeside campfires on the beach with the portable fire pit or in the rustic fireplace on the hill! Also, take out the included kayak or canoe for a sunrise or sunset paddle!

Windows and natural light and wood are the dominating features of the interior of this beautiful, family-friendly home.

There are three bedrooms - two with queen-size beds and one with a full bed - and a full bathroom upstairs.

On the main floor, there is a kitchen with oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and plenty of cabinet space. There is a full bath with a coat closet and washer and dryer. The living space is open and includes two dining tables, a 32" flat screen tv with dvd player, two couches, two twin sleigh beds, and additional seating. There is a closed porch in the front of the house and a deck out front.

The yard is 1/2 acre and offers plenty of grass for play. There is a gas/charcoal grill on the back porch and a fire pit outside to the side of the garage with a swinging seat. There is a two car garage with one side for parking and one side filled with seats for hanging out.

Enjoyed the access to the water and 10-15 minute kyak/canoe to Long Lake. The screened porch that goes the entire length of the house was heavenly. The Great Room was well GREAT! Cooking for for the family was sooooooo easy and nice with the 6 burner stove(and small griddle) and the VERY modern oven. Along with the large gas grill on the open deck with the restaurant style griddle as well. There was also a gas grill on the screened in porch that we used when it was raining. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property. Sam and Sheri were very responsive hosts. Thank you!"

The Lakeside was originally built in the early 1900s and has been many things over the years- a Jazz dance hall, a speakeasy, a well-loved local eatery & Tavern, and most recently a personal residence. The camp is easily accessible, right on Rt. 28N with plenty of parking and only minutes away from town beach, grocery store, restaurants, shopping, and ice cream stands. A half mile down the road is Mt. Sabattis Recreation area which has a farmer's market, mountain bike & walking trails, tennis, pickle ball & basketball. Long Lake is a 14 mile natural lake, we are close to the Adirondack Museum in Blue Mountain Lake, The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, and the Olympic village of Lake Placid is only an hour drive. It is quite literally the most beautiful and quintessential Adirondack escape!

- "This was a family reunion group, so we had all ages, we were impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was, loved the double oven. We used every inch of the 3 refrigerators. Huge living area, with a pool table, sitting on the deck to watch sunrises and sunsets was an extra bonus. The dock looked new. Swimming area was great, we wished there was a ladder at the end of the dock. But overall a great place, and we all enjoyed it!!"

If you plan to go out on the lake you must provide your own personal flotation device/life vests. Raquette Lake is a relatively large body of water and conditions on the lake change quickly.

You will love the natural light in this house. Windows throughout the house offer a constant view of the outdoors. The wood floor and trim add to the beautiful Adirondack setting. Comfortable seating is available throughout the downstairs, including two couches, a two seat rocker and a day bed. The dining room table is enormous and beautiful. The kitchen is fully stocked. The house has three bedrooms upstairs. Two have queen size beds and one has a full size bed. Queen size futon and two single beds downstairs provide additional sleep possibilities.

You are welcome to play any games or read any books as you like. There is a 55" inch flat screen downstairs with cable and smart tv options and a 32" flat screen upstairs (no cable).

Hiking recommendations in the area include but are not limited to:

Mount Goodnow - 2 hour round trip, moderate, fire tower at the top - make a right out of the driveway and Mt. Goodnow parking lot is on the right after 10-15 minutes.
Coney Mountain - 1 hour round trip, family friendly with some steep spots, great view from top - make a left from driveway and then a right on route 30, parking is immediately after county sign on right after 15 minutes
Owl's Head - 3-4 hours round trip, fire tower at top, flat at the beginning and steep toward the top - make a left out of driveway, make a right on route 30, drive across town, over the bridge and after about a mile, make a left on Endion. The trailhead is 3 minutes down the road on the right.
Buttermilk Falls - Make a left out of the driveway and after about 3 miles, the road bends hard left. Just there make a right and Buttermilk falls is about another mile down on the right. It is about a 500 foot walk from parking to the falls with short walks around the scenic area. Drive another mile or two and the Seargant's Pond hike is on the left. This is a relatively flat 2-3 mile hike depending on which route you take to the upper or lower pond. It is a nice hike for older folks and smaller children.

Welcome to Camp Looney Bin in the heart of the Adirondacks! Camp looney bin is a pint sized cabin right in the heart of town. Enjoy the convenience of being right in the center of everything but having the privacy of a dead end road. A short walk will get you to the world famous Hoss's store, a fantastic gym, cocktail hour at the Adirondack hotel, sunset on the lake, and the top of Mt. Sabattis. If you haven't fallen in love with the town of Long lake already, you will!

The space
Camp Looney Bin is a tiny cabin with one bedroom and one bathroom and a small living space. It's an ideal space for a rustic feel, but with all of the comforts of home and the convenience of being in town. The space is best suited for a couples getaway. While we can accommodate an extra guest, please know that it will be extra cozy on the couch or on a twin sized inflatable mattress. Very well behaved pets are welcome, but subject to a small additional cleaning fee. In this cozy space, you will soon question why you ever needed anything else. Tiny home living at its finest! **Please know that there is no wifi or TV available at the cabin!!

Our cabin is your cabin. Please feel free to use anything that you may find, but please return it! Some of our personal belongings will be on the high shelf in the bedroom and we ask that those things remain undisturbed. If you forgot something, please ask. We may have it!

Other things to note
There is a canoe and a few different kayaks that are available to use if you do have the ability to transport them to the lake. Please be safe and wear a life vest! There is also great rental spots in town to rent both power boats and kayaks, paddle boards and canoes.

CLEANING, LINENS AND TOWELS: Daily housekeeping services are not included in the rental rate. Guests must provide their own linens, including bed sheets and pillowcases. Host will, however, provide bathroom and kitchen towels, blankets, pillows, and a limited amount of basic paper goods.

FIREWOOD: We provide a starter bundle of firewood for use in the outdoor firepits and/or the wood stove inside the cabin. If additional firewood is required, it can be easily sourced from firewood kiosks located around town, or the Stewart's gas station just down the road.

Raquette Lake is the largest natural lake in the Adirondacks with over 99 miles of shoreline to explore. The lake is spring fed with a natural sandy bottom and is perfect for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, and boating.

Strawberry Hill Cabins at Long Lake, NY is located in the heart of the Adirondack Park. Long Lake is 90 minutes from Lake George and an hour from Lake Placid & Old Forge. The Adirondack state park is the largest state park in the continental US, offering fresh air & wide open spaces. Some adventures are hiking, paddling, fishing and other outdoor activities. The cabin is just steps away from the water on the north end of the lake and is located on a private gravel driveway.

The space
Strawberry Hill Cabin on Long Lake exudes traditional Adirondack decor. There are two cozy couches to relax in and enjoy the beautiful views of the lake. The open floor plan with a large kitchen and island, make for wonderful dinners. The large deck overlooking the lake has amazing views. Your own charcoal grill is just steps away - we will provide the charcoal for your stay. Comforter & pillows, toilet paper, paper towels, soap & cleaning supplies are provided - linens & towels available upon request. TV & electric fireplace for your enjoyment.
** Traveler booking rental must be staying at the rental property during the entire stay. No infants or children due to the location of the cabin & it's terrain - we have no infant or child safety precautions in place. No smoking or pets or parties. This is a quiet residential road.

There is parking for 2 cars steps from cabin. There is a shared dock on the property just a short walk from your cabin. Depending on water level there maybe a sandy beach as well. Should you bring your boat, the town boat launch is less than 3 miles away. We are happy to provide a place to store your trailer during your stay.

Our newest rental on the property is our 2 bedroom barnsided Loft apartment. Newly refurbished and we are quite proud of it! Featuring 2 bedrooms with a full bed in each. 1.5 baths with a shower. Family Pets: We ARE pet lovers with 2 Siberian Huskies & a Yard Lion(Outdoor Orange House Cat). If you plan on bringing your pet with you, we can accommodate you together. Please understand that we make absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to these rules, you are not above the law this policy lays out.
-There is a charge PER PET(2 max) for your entire stay.
-We may adjust your booking to include a temporary security deposit of up-to $350.
-There is a MINNIMUM $250 fine for pets that cause damage or disrespect, or are found in violation of any rule in this Pet Policy.
-It is important that our pet policy is followed by ALL pet owners, neglecting this policy will incur the $250 MINNIMUM fine.
1. Keep your pet on a leash at ALL times while outside your suite.
2. DO NOT walk your pet on our property. This helps prevent pet fights, discomfort of other guests, and pets from destroying areas of the property.
The short walk from the property to the Long Lake Nature trail is an easy walk. The Long Lake Nature Trail connects the uptown area of Long Lake with the business district, Hoss’s, Custards, Diner to the Ball Field. This short path around Jennings Park Pond leads to the Historic Adirondack Hotel, Helms Aero Service, and the Long Lake Town Beach. It’s a serene place to walk the dogs, take a jog, and avoid the hill in the middle of town. Over the years deer, frogs and even a moose have been spotted along this trail. The trail is 0.7-mile out-and-back & takes an average of 14 min to complete. This is a very popular trail for birding, fishing, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. It goes without saying that all excrement should be removed, even from the wild, so bring doggie bags, if you forgot them, just ask, we have them.
3. Pets are not allowed on our beds, or furniture. If you are unable to keep pets off the beds/furniture, you must bring your own linens to COMPLETLEY cover our furniture, and bring your own bedding. Please inform us to strip the house of all bedding and lines prior to your arrival. (any pet found to in volition of these rules will be charged the minimum $250)
4. Barking and/or hostile dogs are NOT allowed. Barking and/or hostile dogs create problems and uneasiness with our other guests. We rely on you, the pet owner, to decide whether or not your dog will fit in at Adirondack Herrenhaus.
5. Do NOT leave your pet unattended for an extended length of time. Pet soil will be documented, and additional cleaning charges billed per hour as well as supplies will be added on above the security deposit.
-Any persons that refuse to adhere to this pet policy will be asked to leave the premises, and will not be refunded for their stay.

Swimming in the pond (at your own risk of course) is nice. Considerations:
- the pond water is clear and beautiful
- the entrance from the shore is muddy (the water itself is clear, but the bottom at the shore is muddy) - you may want water shoes/sandals.
- there is a wooden walk that stretches from the shore out onto the pond about 20 feet to a small platform perpendicular to the walk
- there is a wooden ladder near where the walk meets the platform that you can use to get into the water (thus avoiding mud); the water is roughly 3-4 feet deep at that point

Guests have access to the full home and property, save for one closet and the outdoor shed. Full access to waterfront and pond.

Other things to note
Like many places in the Adirondacks, our house is an updated yet rustic place.

We have been very comfortable with breezes and cross ventilation. Window fans are available. The house does not have air conditioning.

Normally, we leave sheets and blankets out so that guests can make their own beds, allowing guests to choose which bedrooms to use.

In the late summer in the Adirondacks, as it gets cool, outside mice may get into the house - not just our house, but any house in a wooded setting. We are assiduous in response, in our cleaning and setting traps. We do our best, but if you cannot bear the possibility of mice, you probably will prefer a different place.

This lakefront cabin is the smaller of the two yet it is as cozy as can be. The fully equipped kitchen has a breakfast bar and is open to the knotty pine living area and queen size sofa bed. Two bedrooms with full size beds and a full bath. Deck, dock, beach.

The space
We are located right on the water and a short paddle to the Hamlet of Raquette Lake. Close by are several options for day hikes, paddling to some remote locations on the lake and inlets and local attractions such as the WW Durant which offers lunch and dinner cruises and a gift shop. 15 minutes to the Blue Mountain Museum and 30 minutes to the Water Park Safari in Old Forge. Don't miss Pastabilities Monday nights at 5pm at the Tap Room in Raquette Lake or the quaint little library.

Each cabin has a deck, picnic table, fire pit and dock. We also have a couple of canoes, SUP's and a kayak for guests to use (along with paddles and PFD's).

Wifi is available on premises, but may be a bit sketchy in the cabins. We are working on better reception. Cell phone reception varies depending on the carrier (Verizon doesn't work too well, whereas AT&T does).

We have a washer/dryer in the main house for emergency situations. There's also a Laundromat in the village of Raquette (adjacent to the General Store).

Weekly rentals from June through mid September only (Saturday to Saturday). Weekend rentals through November 1.

The kitchen and dining area are roomy and well-equipped. The kitchen includes all essential cooking tools, such as pots, frying pans, dishes, cutlery, cutting boards, baking sheets, baking pans, a toaster, a coffee maker, an electric kettle, a blender, a food processor, a KitchenAid mixer, and a hand blender.

There is a propane range/oven, and we also provide a countertop electric Ninja oven/air fryer for quick and even cooking. Please note that the standard oven is functional but may cook at a slower pace.

The cabin is equipped with a refrigerator and freezer. There is no dishwasher; however, dish soap, sponges, and drying racks are provided for hand washing dishes.

The cozy living room features a vaulted ceiling, two large couches, a recliner chair, and a table suitable for playing games. Guests can enjoy a piano (which requires tuning), a record player for vinyl records, board games, and a selection of books.

**Outdoor Amenities**
For your enjoyment, there is a fire pit and a BBQ grill outside.

The large backyard includes a volleyball net and a shed stocked with kayaks and bikes. You are welcome to use the kayaks, but you will need to transport them to the lake yourself. Kayak launching is available at the town beach.

We will allow older dogs to stay with prior approval for a fee, but no other animals are permitted. Our family has severe allergies to cats, so absolutely no cats are allowed.

Other things to note
Due to the presence of bears, there is no trash pickup in the town of Long Lake. Instead, we have a well-organized transfer station located less than a mile away. We kindly ask that you take your trash and recycling there daily, if possible. A pass for your car and instructions will be provided in the cabin upon your arrival.

Since we are in the woods, our cabin occasionally gets mice. We maintain traps throughout the property and actively monitor them. Each night, we ensure the kitchen is clean, and we take the garbage to the dump daily.

If you find it inconvenient to visit the transfer station, we understand. In that case, please tie up your garbage before leaving, ensuring that all recyclables are rinsed out and free of food residue. Leave everything tied up in the kitchen. Please do not place garbage in the garage, shed, or your car overnight.

Third generation family camp situated in the heart of the Adirondacks, between Blue Mountain Lake and Inlet. This three season camp was built with family and time away, in mind. On two floors, there are four bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms; the cabin will sleep up to eight. Three of the bedrooms have views of the lake. A fully applianced kitchen with an outdoor grill, fire pit, camp chairs, and boat dock. Put your heart at ease at this wonderful Raquette Lake camp this season.

The space
This cabin is situated in a camp-like setting. It sits just feet from Raquette Lake with plenty of room to run and play, or just sit and relax.

We provide all bedding, bath towels, kitchen towels, dish soap, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee filters (we have two coffee makers to make it easy for both regular and decaf coffee drinkers), salt & pepper, and a small collection of cleaning supplies for use during your stay. We’d ask that you be as conservative as possible with all items mentioned above. We hope you understand that we certainly do not want you to do without, but we are also not providing items for overuse or to be taken home. Items that are provided are intended for use at our camp only.

Upon arrival, you may find things like aluminum foil, plastic baggies, flour, baking soda, a variety of spices, and other miscellaneous items. These items are a bonus to your stay and you should fee free to use anything.

There are four queen-sized beds and one twin bed in the four bedrooms. Three cots can accommodate smaller humans: one standard, one small, and one mini (three years old or younger).

Quiet Time is a four-season vacation home located on Raquette Lake, the largest natural lake in the Adirondack Park. Quiet Time was originally part of the Antlers Resort, a well-known resort back in the early days of Raquette Lake.

Raquette Lake is centrally located and is about twenty minutes north of Old Forge on Route 28. In the village of Raquette Lake, you will find a post office, library, general store, Laundromat, infamous tap room, scenic boat tours, W.W. Durant Dinner Cruise (the best in the Adirondacks), gas station, public parking and boat launching. Also located on the lake are two marinas (Bird's Marina is closest to our home) which provide for all types of water sports. The Sagamore, one of Durant's great camps is also open for tours and visitors.

Other attractions a short distance away include the Adirondack Museum on Blue Mt. Lake, Old Forge, Enchanted Forest, The Wild Center, restaurants, shopping, seaplane rides, and McCauley Mountain. Any part of the Adirondack Park is accessible within a day's drive. Lake Placid and the High Peaks can also be visited within a one to two hour's drive. Hiking/biking trails, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, whitewater rafting, boating, swimming, fishing, bird-watching, and sunbathing activities take place during the spring, summer and fall seasons. Throughout the summer and fall, every weekend includes festivals held by local communities.

Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, snowshoeing, ice fishing, and winter festivals are popular during the winter months. For snowmobiling, Quiet Time is conveniently located close to the Uncas Road trail in Raquette Lake.

Come and enjoy an Adirondack getaway in this peaceful, private home situated in the woods while still close to town. This is the perfect place for a family vacation, wilderness adventure basecamp, friend reunion, or to work remotely. The outdoor space includes a lawn, lean-to, fireplace, gas grill, and outdoor tables for dining. The indoor space is spacious and cozy, offering a fully stocked kitchen, dedicated work space, laundry room, and comfortable living room with satellite television.

The space
This 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house is all one level and is above the owner's garage. The garage is not available to the guests and has restricted use for fire egress and trash storage. The house is located on a private lot, but there is a shared driveway with two other homes that are not within view of Short Ridge Retreat. We ask that guests are mindful of our neighbors use of the driveway for your safety and theirs.

The house is fully furnished. It has a washer/dryer located in a separate laundry room. We provide a fully equipped and furnished kitchen with a dishwasher. There is a dedicated workspace for those who are visiting and need to complete work remotely. We offer three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom includes a queen size bed and on-suite bathroom. The second bedroom includes a queen size bed, and the third bedroom has three twin beds, one stand alone and a set of bunk beds. Each bedroom is adorned with a dresser and a closet. The main bathroom includes a bathtub/shower.

We provide fresh linens, extra blankets, extra pillows, and basic toiletries.

The outside space offers a lean-to with a stone fireplace, making it an ideal place for campfires. There is wood available for our guests to use. We also have a gas grill and two outdoor tables for outdoor dining. We have a lawn area that is ideal for lawn games and enjoying the fresh air.

There is additional parking available for guests near the garden area. This is mapped out in the Guest Handbook available at Short Ridge Retreat.

Guest access
The guests will have the full living quarters, lawn area, and lean-to/campfire area to themselves. The guests will also have their own parking area.

The guests will have restricted access to the garage below the house, with the garage only available as a fire egress and for trash to be secured.

The house is situated on a private way that is shared with two other homes, so the guests need to be aware that it is a shared way/driveway.
