We’re a large, loving family who adores the Adirondacks—and we’re thrilled to share our second home with you! We are so proud of our house, this gorgeous part of the country, and the New York State official tourist agency recognizing us.

Our home is your perfect base camp for adventure and relaxation. Close to Lake George, Lake Placid, and Gore Mountain, you can explore as much as you want and come back to a cozy private retreat. Schroon Lake offers a gorgeous beach with clear lake water, and in the winter it freezes for ice fishing, ice skating at the town gazebo, and snowmobile tours right across the lake, great fishing, amazing hiking trails, and the Natural Stone Bridges and Caves just down the road. Did I mention there is an adorable 9-hole golf course in Schroon? Super close to the house, and it's gorgeous! In the winter, it doubles as a cool place to sled and take the kiddos! As travelers ourselves, we’ve done our best to create a rental that makes your stay as easy, carefree, and comfortable as possible.

Winter: Sleds for the kids and that cozy hot tub after a snowy day. Our house is located on the Adirondack Snowmobile trail, and you can ride your snowmobiles (or rent from C&C rentals in town) from our driveway right onto the trail for hundreds of miles!

New mini cabin: A charming hideaway with a full bed, twin mattress, heat, electricity, and a smart TV.

There are TV’s in every room and a nice game room. The porch was a great feature as we had a couple of days of rain but the porch allowed us to be outside regardless. The fire pit was a great place to relax in the evening with a fire and there was plenty of firewood. The hot tub was a great way to relax as well. The area around the house was quiet with plenty of nature…Schroon lake was a short drive away with small shops and a few restaurants. Also great for fishing a I caught a 3-pound large mouth bass. A very quaint and quiet town. This house is well located with easy access to the highway. Overall our whole family enjoyed the week we spent there and truly loved this outstanding home. The owner, Mary Jane, was always available when we had questions and was a great host! She made our stay even more enjoyable."

This is a newly renovated 2 bedroom1 bath ground floor rental with shared access to 50 feet of sandy beach on Schroon Lake. Short walk from house to beach. Driveway parking available for 2 vehicles. Within walking distance local restaurants and shopping. Although the property does not have a dock the local marina a short distance from the property. This property offers very relaxing and quiet getaway with beautiful views of Schroon Lake and mountains across the from the lake.

The Town of Schroon Lake is a few miles away with several restaurants, live music, weekly farmers market, craft fairs, coffee shop, bakery, biking, access to amazing hiking, and a 9 hole golf course right in town. The town offers an amazing public beach with life guards on duty and newly refurbished tennis courts. The local marina offers daily - weekly rentals. We are only 25 minutes to Lake George where you can shop, boat, parasail or take a cruise. We are also just about an hour to Lake Placid which offers visits to olympic sites, a bustling town or a visit to Whiteface mountain as well as many other ADK mountains for hiking.

- "This place is exactly as advertised. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything you’ll need if you decide to cook. You do need to bring sheets and towels which wasn’t a big deal at all for us. We loved the house and the waterfront. We can’t wait to stay there again!" - "I really can't say enough good things about this property. The house was absolutely amazing and beautifully decorated. We had a group of 10 people ranging from age 10-73 and there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. There were lots of things provided to entertain us whether it was raining or the sun was shining. Indoors there was a pool table, ping pong table, foosball, shuffleboard and other various games. Outside we enjoyed using the kayaks, paddleboards and the kids favorite - the swim platform. We could hardly get them off of it:) The beach in front was very clean and perfect for building sandcastles. We also spent a few nights around the very nice firepit making s'mores. Sitting in the screened in porch was very comfortable and relaxing and perfect for listening to/watching the water. The only suggestion I can think of would be to add a bigger/deeper skillet for larger group meals. I did bring my own just in case and it made it much easier for cooking. Not a big deal, but just a suggestion. I also wanted to mention that the road to the property is very curvy, (which my husband loved), but if you suffer from car sickness like I do, don't forget to take some dramamine! Overall the property was definitely 5 stars! We made so many wonderful memories and will never forget this vacation. Thank you Jennifer for sharing your beautiful home with our family!"

This impeccably clean and large cabin will be love at first sight! The charming log cabin is over 1700sq feet and is everything you want in an Adirondack retreat.

You will enjoy a very large kitchen that is open to a spacious and inviting living room with vaulted ceiling and sky light and adjoining attached porch with a view of the front acre of the property. The upstairs bedrooms have two queen size beds each and the master a gorgeous new king size log bed.

All new gravel patio and fire pit is complete and allows for starry nights and stories by campfire and of course smores! Make sure you bring your guitar, uke, or harmonica! New for this summer a charcoal grill.

Two large porches to sit on and enjoy the birds singing and morning coffee or evening cocktail. The front porch has two traditional Cracker Barrel rockers and once child sized rocker. The side porch has a bench and a picnic table for dining outside.

Grab your towels and beach gear and walk across the street to Schroon Lake Manor Campground, a small fee to walk to the lake through the campground OR take the free state park path entrance to the north side of the driveway. It’s secluded and like your own private beach! Either way you will enjoy the incredible lake! For $20 a day you can rent kayaks from the campground too!

Town is 5 minutes away with great shops, restaurants, grocery, big public beach, park and boat launch. Mt. Gore and Lake George are each 30 min. away. A 45 min. drive will bring you to Lake Placid.

- "My husband, kids and I had a great stay at this cozy little cabin. Nicole gave great directions to get there, the cabin has everything you need to cook, grill and relax. Beds were super comfy too. And the kids enjoyed ping pong matches nightly. Unfortunately, the rain in the area has flooded the hidden beach across the street at the cabin. The campground had a nice beach though, and the drive into Lake George Village was only about 25 minutes. Overall, a wonderful stay!"

The quaint village of Schroon Lake with great restaurants, shopping, a pristine public beach and boat launching area is a 5-minute drive from the cabin. This is the perfect spot to set up base and explore all that the Adirondacks have to offer.

The cabin is nestled on a hillside with panoramic views overlooking beautiful Schroon Lake. Enjoy the privacy of the 2-acre property and surrounding hiking trails right off of the property.

The cabin was built in 2017 and has modern amenities, yet still has the cozy feeling of an authentic Adirondack log cabin. The large deck on the main level looks out over Schroon Lake and the view is amazing! Here you will find a table and chairs with an umbrella and a propane grill. The living area on the first floor boasts a vaulted ceiling with lots of natural light from the many windows. The living area opens up to the kitchen and dining area so everyone can stay connected and enjoy their time together. The lake views from this area are so beautiful! The first floor has two bedrooms - one with two twin beds and the other with one queen bed. There is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo on this level. Upstairs, you will find the loft area with a queen-size futon and a small TV with Roku for streaming & a DVD player - there are also board games, puzzles and DVDs. There is a catwalk off the loft that overlooks the first floor below and takes you out to the upper-level deck. This is the perfect place for your morning coffee overlooking the lake or gazing at the stars and constellations at night. On this level, you will find the third bedroom with a king bed, as well as the second bathroom with a corner shower. There is a full basement with game area (ping-pong, darts, air hockey, foosball, poker table), two comfy couches, a 65' TV with Roku for streaming, as well as a washer & dryer.

After a fun-filled day exploring the Adirondacks, come back to your private log cabin. Relax on one of the two decks overlooking the lake. Enjoy the evening roasting marshmallows at the lean-to with a firepit and log benches. Enjoy a movie or board game in the loft. About the town:

Schroon Lake is a year-round vacation paradise. The village is a 5-minute drive from the cabin and has restaurants, churches, antique shops, souvenir shops, and an original art-deco movie theater. There is also a Tops grocery store and a Stewart's convenience shop/gas station.

There are many activities nearby – hiking, mountain biking, golfing, tennis, swimming at the pristine beach, great fishing, biking, rafting, sailing and much more.

There are events for the whole family – an old-fashioned 4th of July parade, Adirondack Folk Festival, Arts and Crafts Fairs, Farmer's Market, Strawberry Festival, Square Dances, Boathouse Concerts, Plays and Operas. ***Important Notes***

*The driveway is gravel with a steep hill to reach the cabin. Sometimes the tires can spin on vehicles when fully loaded and driving slowly. The best solution is to maintain a brisk speed to the top. AWD/4WD vehicles are recommended.

*Linens (sheets/pillowcases) and bath towels will be provided. Please bring your own beach/lake towels.

*Please park boats, trailers, etc at the bottom of the hill on the right side across from the propane tank prior to going to top of hill where the cabin is. (Boats can be launched at the public dock in the village 5 minutes from the cabin.)

*The cabin comfortably sleeps 6 people in the 3 bedrooms. There is a futon in the loft area that will sleep an additional two people, but please note this is in a common area of the cabin and offers no privacy, storage, etc. 8 people (including children) is the absolute max allowed at the cabin due to space and septic tank capacity.

*There is a Blink doorbell camera on the deck facing the driveway that you will see when you come up the steps onto the deck. Please note that this is for property security purposes only and is not actively monitored/doorbell is not answered.

*Please ensure you leave by 10:30am on check-out day to allow our cleaning service to enter and begin preparing for our next guests. Please do not arrive prior to 4pm on check-in day.

*There is satellite internet/wifi; it can be slow at times or out of service because of weather; cellular service is great!

*Both TVs are set-up for streaming via Roku.

This home did not disappoint! This beautiful, updated, well stocked, and clean log cabin was so nice to stay in. The views from the patio and through the large windows are spectacular. Just be aware that it is definitely on a hill and the driveway and walkways are quite steep. The dock is great and we were able to board a pontoon boat without issue, but there is no beach to swim off of. The host was easy to reach and responded quickly to all questions. We would stay here again!"

A new addition to our other two rentals. This one story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch-style vacation home has plenty of room for family/friends. All the latest conveniences and a short walk to Schroon. It's around the corner from the golf course, NYS snowmobile trails, 25 minutes from Gore Mountain, 45 minutes from Whiteface Mountain and a short walk to the lake. The kitchen is fully equipped and a washer and dryer are available. There are three queen size beds and two full baths. A queen size pull out couch in the living room completes sleeping accommodations for eight.

Being 5 minutes away from the village it was close to grocery stores and the beach and golf , but, provided a nice quiet environment, with a babbling brook across the road. I would highly recommend it for a stay at Schroon Lake. I had not heard of Vacasa before but we were pleasantly surprised at their level of commitment and ease of communication."

Lake Song Lodge sits on the hill above the lower house and offers a stunning view of the lake. Beach is shared with your hosts Brian and Maureen. Walk down the hill 200 feet to 87 feet of private lakefront and pure bliss. Please feel free to bring your boat as your own boat slip is included. If the lake level is high due to excessive rain, please feel free to use our mooring buoy. There are boat launches at the south and north end of the lake. Park your boat trailer onsite. Two kayaks and one canoe available for use as well. If you would like to rent a boat, please check out Schroon Lake Marina.

Lake Song Lodge is located 2 miles north of exit 27 on the west side of Schroon Lake. This location is convenient as restaurant Sticks and Stones is a 1/2 mile north in case you are in the mood for some wood fired pizza. The town of Schroon Lake is 2 miles north and has a grocery store, a pharmacy, a health center, a 1950's retro style movie theater as well as restaurants and shops. If you are looking for ice cream, there are several soft serve shops in the area as well as Stewart's, which is a regional classic, for hard serve ice cream.

Even though you will have your own beach to use, the town beach and town park overlooking Schroon Lake are absolutely beautiful. There is a gazebo in the park overlooking the lake that is a great place to take a family picture. The summer schedule is chock full of various free music performances in town. Check the SL Chamber of Commerce for schedule. If opera and musical theatre is your cup of tea, The Seagle Colony offers world class performances.

OUTDOORS - park 2 vehicles in our large driveway, and you and your family and pets have the side yard all to yourselves. Please pick up any pet droppings for our next guests.

You will have access to the whole private home. There is one closet that will be locked with the hosts’ personal belongings. The kitchen is equipped with all basic cooking equipment, full size stove and refrigerator & dishwasher and much more! It has a skylight and is open to the living room.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and dresser. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a closet. The third bedroom has a full-size bed and closet. . They are open and bright rooms!
There is a patio area with a fire pit available for your use (firewood can be purchased at Stewart’s or various other private locations around).

You have access to all but one closet!
The laundry facilities are in the basement as well as a ping pong and air-hockey tables! We have had occasional water issues during rainy weather down there :( Please let me know if that happens during your stay. Nothing a towel won’t hold at bay (I have several "junk" towels down there just in case) but frustrating all the same. The basement and yard are both works in progress. We appreciate your patience as we work to make the house and even better experience to stay in.
Other things to note:
The home is on the street where the fire station is located. Schroon Lake is a very quiet town but there are, of course, emergencies on occasion! The fire whistle can be startling if you don’t know what it is! Don’t be alarmed if you hear a loud whistle.

This area is a home for adventurers, and "relaxers" alike, offering many of your favorite winter and summer sports and activities. We love our furry friends and cannot imagine family trips without them! We welcome dogs to our home (2 max at a time) which would require refundable deposit after the cleaning crew concludes the home was left in original condition. We have a document outlining Pet Rules that will be sent via the messenger at the time of booking.

The second, while not necessary, was very cozy in the evenings to hang out and watch TV. The big kitchen was great for cooking meals together, and the master suite is beautiful. The hosts were extremely communicative prior to the stay, giving us much information about the surrounding area as well as events occurring while we would be there. One other highlight worth mentioning - we had a service dog with us, and the hosts bought brand new water/food bowls/mats for us for us to feed the dog."

- "The Maple delivered. It was exactly what our family was looking for and hoped when we made the reservation. We have stayed elsewhere on Schroon Lake, so had an idea of what we wanted - and this had it. Great location about as short a walk to town as you could hope for lakefront - which made it easy to walk to town for coffee in the morning, or milkshakes at Stewarts for the kids. A huge, open and level lawn for the kids to run around and play lawn games on. And a perfect screened-in-porch with picturesque views out over the lawn to the lake and beyond to have meals, read a book or just relax. Our hosts were also very available as needed before or during the stay, being proactive to make sure we had everything we needed."

This 2-bedroom apartment is equipped with a living & dining area, kitchenette, beautiful bath and patio area. Perched on a knoll overlooking Schroon Lake, this Adirondack apartment makes for the perfect getaway no matter the season. APT. 2- Upon entering this large Apartment, you will fall in love with the vaulted ceilings, the skylights, and the private deck with lake vistas. This carpeted, sun drenched Master Bedroom is furnished with a comfy large couch, table and chairs, HD TV, a king size bed and lake views. Additionally, there is an efficiency kitchen that includes; a sink, a microwave, and small fridge, as well as a coffeemaker. A full size bathroom with tub and shower, coupled with an additional two rooms, for use as a den AND an office complete this delightful retreat!

OUTDOOR SPACE- A large sandy beach is equipped with chairs and a fire pit. You can gaze at the stars and listen to the sounds of nature as you roast yummy s'mores beachside. This is room is two double beds in the upstairs of Baker Street House. There are two bathrooms one is a full bath, downstairs is a half bath. There is a possibility of sharing a bathroom if other guests are here. You may inquire before booking. There is a small coffee room with a tea kettle, microwave and Keurig . The space
The apartment is a walk-in basement attached to our home. We have worked hard to provide a private and serene environment for our guests and you will have the whole apartment to yourself. This is complete with both a private entrance as well as a private driveway. This one bedroom getaway is perfect (and designed) for up to two people, but we've had larger groups squeeze in comfortably too!

Guests will have private access to the entire apartment. The backyard is a shared space and guests are more than welcome to enjoy any amenities they find provided there.

We have a small coffee area in a separate room which has a microwave, tea kettle, coffee, small fridge, seating for 2 plus a large common area downstairs.

This quaint, rustic, one room log cabin was originally built for overflow family during the summer by my father. The cedar logs were cut from our property giving it a truly authentic Adirondack feel. The cabin sleeps 1-3 people. It's located on a large, beautiful piece of property with two main houses, a barn and garage. You are within walking distance to our private swimming hole and beach. There is a horse arena nearby. This is a great location for many attractions in the Adirondacks.

The space
To help alleviate inquiries and to be very clear about our listing:

The cabin is a ONE room cabin. The bathroom is separated with a curtain. There is a kitchen sink.

There is a pullout couch for an extra guest if needed.

We provide a fire pit, chairs, picnic table, grill and firewood. The firewood is cut, split and stacked by my children. We ask you kindly leave a tip for their hard work.

We CANNOT at this time accept any animals on the property. We love dogs and own several, so in order to protect your animals and our own, we will not be accepting them.

The Northway DOES run near our property. It CAN be heard, but you CANNOT see it. The whole property is surrounded by woods. You will be left completely alone, however, if you're looking for complete isolation and quiet, this is probably not the property for you.

There is running hot water, electric, toilet, shower, refrigerator, kitchenette, microwave, and Keurig. Towels, flatware, dishes.
There is also a tv that plays DVDS. We have a trunk with many selections.
There is NO AC, and NO WiFi. There are some areas on the property that you may be able to pick up WiFi. If it’s important and you need to use it, let us know.

The bed is a queen bed with a memory foam pillow top mattress. There is no AC, but fans in each window for air flow. There is a fire pit with sitting chairs and an outside hose for cleaning uses and to put fire out.

The cabin is located on a big piece of property with 2 other houses, a garage and barn. You will NOT be completely secluded here, but still very much private. There is no WiFi available at the cabin.
There is no AC, but fans in each window for air flow.
The cabin is located on a large piece of property with other buildings on it. There are 2 main houses as well as a garage with an apartment and two barns.
A horse arena is near the cabin where we occasionally give horseback riding lessons.
There are no main roads within sight, but interstate 87 does run behind the woods. You are still very private here.

There will be zero tolerance for partying on the property. If you are looking to party with lots of drinking, please look elsewhere for a rental. Any damage done to the rental, or surrounding property, the guest(s) will be responsible in restitutions.

While the swimming hole is privately owned, at times it is used by my family and possible other air bnb guests. This is the only space you may need to share with family and/or other guests. There is plenty of room to share and a floating dock during the hot season to jump off, no diving please! There are no life guards on duty. Please swim at your own risk.

You are more than welcome to kayak up the river, it's beautiful! We have several kayaks you may use on a first come, first serve basis. Please do not take the kayaks down the river but paddle up. There is a small water fall 500 feet from the beach, which would destroy the kayaks in the low water. Feel free to bring your own kayaks. If you bring your own equipment, you may put in after the falls for a nice ride down Schroon River.

While the horses are well-behaved, we do not offer riding lessons or trail rides at this time. Feel free to pet. Please do not feed.

We plan to leave our guests alone unless they want to visit or ask questions. We realize that people come to the ADKS to escape it all and in no way want to be overwhelming. We have worked very hard to make this rental VERY user friendly and we take our guests feedback very seriously.

Cabin 8 is detached, has two bedrooms each with one double bed and one single bed, one bathroom with shower, a full kitchen, and a living room. There's also a woodstove fireplace, A/C, and propane heat. The kitchen is equipped with a full size refrigerator with freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils.

Our cozy apartment attached to our garage can sleep 2 guests and provides a unique western vibe with views of our horses from the bedroom window. The property is roomy and private but also has two main houses and two barns within sight. We are 8 minutes from the Schroon Lake village with the river within walking distance to swim, kayak or tube in. This is also a great location for many of the tourist attractions like hiking, boating, fishing, skiing/snowboarding and snowmobiling.

The space
We have worked hard to make this rental as enjoyable as we can. You will find this apartment to be VERY user friendly, cozy and clean. We take our guests feedback seriously and have tried our best to make this a home away from home.

Here's what you need to know about the place:

We CANNOT at this time accept any animals on the property. We love dogs and own several, so in order to protect your animals and our own, we will not be accepting them.

The Northway does run near our property. It CAN be heard, but you CANNOT see it. The whole property is surrounded by woods. If you read our reviews, you'll see this has not been an issue with 99% of our guests. You will be left completely alone, however, if you're looking for complete isolation and quiet, this is probably not the property for you.

This apartment has a king sized bed in the bedroom that come with sheets and blankets.

You will find the kitchen well stocked with the basic cooking essentials along with a stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, Keurig, flatware, and dishes. There is not a dishwasher.

The bathroom has a shower with towels, shampoo and conditioner. The main living room offers a WiFi tv where you can access your favorite online shows and news. There is a couch in the living room with a recliner chair. We will no longer be offering the pull out couch as an option as it is broken. However, if you have a 3rd guest, they are welcome to use the couch, but not to pull it out into a bed.

In the summer there are AC window units in the bedroom and living area. In the winter it is well heated.

You will have views of our horse corral, horses and turn out pasture. There are 2 main houses on the property as well as a small cabin and two barns. The 40 acres that make up this property are bumped up again state land, making the woods go on for what feels like forever. Interstate 87 does run nearby, but not visible.

What is nice about this spot is it's enough off the beaten path, but close enough yet to the village of Schroon as well as a great starting point for most of the attractions--hiking the high peaks, skiing and boating, just to name a few. We do have a few kayaks available if not being used by family or other guests. They are kept by our swimming hole and you are welcome to them. If you do decide to use the kayaks, please paddle UP stream, not down. Swim at your own risk. The ONLY spaces shared with other people or our family would be the swimming hole.

PLEASE READ: You are not completely isolated here, but still very private. We are VERY considerate of our guests but if you are looking for complete isolation, this is NOT the right place for you. You will see horses and if you venture out of the apartment into our yards, you may see our family riding horses or running around. You cannot see any main roads, just the driveway. You may also see an occasional dirtbike head into the woods. Horse lessons occasionally happen in the horse arena down the hill from you, feel free to come and watch, we have found our guests love to see the horses work.

We offer a grill, fire pit, picnic table, chairs and fire wood for our guests. The only thing we ask is if you use the wood, you leave a tip for my children who have cut, split and stacked it for you.

We offer a washer and dryer, it's a stackable unit, however, due to the extreme weather here, the washer is unavailable from November through April. The dryer will continue to work, and there is a laundry mat in the town about 5-8 minutes away.

This classic A frame cabin is just the thing for an Adirondack getaway. Rustic, cozy and charming, guests can enjoy nature at their doorstep along with the comforts of home and easy access to a wide variety of attractions and amenities.

The space
The Treehouse is perched in a towering hemlock forest on the edge of the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness. A spacious living area has plenty of seating for lounging, playing games and dining, and an expansive balcony is great for entertaining or quiet contemplation. The cabin features two cozy bedrooms -- one on the main floor with two twin beds, and a loft with a queen bed and futon. It's fully stocked with everything you'll need for your stay -- coffee, cookware, grill, charcoal, games, firepit, and the list goes on. Let us know if you need something specific.

Schroon Lake is also accessible by foot from the cabin. After a 5-minute walk through the woods, guests can spend the day on a small beach on public land featuring still, shallow waters - great for swimming, tubing or wading (water shoes are recommended).

The adjacent Pharaoh Lake Wilderness is a large tract of Forever Wild land featuring mountains with picturesque views and dozens of trails along an endless network of streams, marshes and ponds. Many trails and landmarks are easy to get to from the cabin, either by walking or quick drives to trailheads.

The Schroon Lake village and its numerous shops, restaurants and activities is 20 minutes away by car. The town features a 9-hole golf course, Art Deco-era movie theater, marina, local history museum, library, free summer concerts, town beach and playground, public docks, and the renowned Seagle Music Colony which hosts theater productions during the summer.

There are also plenty of opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and fishing in the area. In the fall, the Adirondack Marathon goes past the Treehouse.

Cell service is poor unless you have Verizon or AT&T. A cell phone will be provided if guests need to make basic calls or texts and their phones don’t work. The cabin is equipped with high-speed internet (wifi).

The driveway is fairly windy and steep, and can be tricky. We lined the driveway with reflecting poles to help.

We currently have one suite unit.

The space
You will have access to the whole private home. There is one closet that will be locked with the hosts’ personal belongings. The kitchen is equipped with all basic cooking equipment (and many extras), full size stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and much more. There is a skylight and it's open to the living room.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, night stands and dresser. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a closet. The third bedroom has a full size bed, desk, chair and closet. They are open and bright rooms!
There is a patio area with a fire pit available for your use (firewood can be purchased at Stewart’s or various other private locations around).

Laundry facilities are in the basement. There is also a ping-pong table & air hockey down there! The basement and yard are both works in progress. We appreciate your patience as we work to steadily make the house a more and more enjoyable experience to stay at.

There is ample parking to bring your boat or jet-skis as the launch is 3 minutes away! In the winter the snow-mobile trail runs at the end of our road.

You have access to all but one closet!
The laundry facilities are in the basement. We have had occasional water issues during rainy weather down there :( Please let me know if that happens during your stay. Nothing a towel won’t hold at bay (I have several "junk" towels down there just in case) but frustrating all the same.

Other things to note
The home is on the street where the fire station is. Schroon Lake is a very quiet town but there are, of course, emergencies on occasion! The fire whistle can be startling if you don’t know what it is! Don’t be alarmed if you hear a loud whistle.

This cozy, 3-bedroom, solar-powered home is located at the end of a quiet country road in the Eastern Adirondacks. Recently renovated and decorated with original artwork, it is perfect for year-round getaways. We welcome people from all backgrounds to visit this slice of paradise!

The space
The Space:
Accommodations downstairs include: Screened porch (seasonal), a full kitchen, living room with couch, 1 full bathroom, two bedrooms (one with Full size bed, the other a Queen size bed). The upstairs is one room with a single bed , a small “office nook” for writing or computer work, plus a ½ bathroom (sink and toilet) and washer/dryer. The backyard has 4 wood Adirondack chairs placed around a circular brick fire pit, perfect for evening camp fires all year long. Cell phone reception is good, depending on carrier. We've have internet & WIFI since spring of 2020, and guests working remotely since then have not reported any problems.

For other entertainment: We have a 19" DVD player / Monitor in the upstairs room, along with a small library of DVDs (a mix of children's movies, old-time classics, sci-fi monster movies, contemporary dramas, comedies and documentaries).

We also have a selection of games: Deck of Cards, Back-gammon, Chess Board, Scrabble, Pictionary, Trivial Pursuit, Quiddler, and some puzzles.

The entire house and yard are available for guests, including full kitchen (includes blender, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, juicer), washer/dryer, towels, and linens. The private backyard has a fire pit (we supply split wood) and a small charcoal BBQ grill (we do not supply lighter fluid or charcoal briquettes).

Other things to note
We do not have specific check-out rules, but we do request that guests leave the house generally as they found it. PLEASE NOTE: To keep our house accessible to many, we do not charge a cleaning fee. Although we do not expect quests to launder sheets, towels, etc, we do expect the oven, refrigerator, small appliances, countertop, dishes and any other items used in the kitchen to be cleaned, porch swept and house vacuumed. There is a vacuum in the hallway closet, and cleaning products under kitchen and bathroom sinks. If you are unable to do this we will request a $150 cleaning fee.

ASA House has a 40-gallon hot water tank, which is average for house this size, but not enough if 3 or 4 guests take long hot showers back to back. It is usually not a problem, but best to allow time between hot showers, or limit the shower time.

If requested in advance , a sixth person can be accommodated for $10 per night. We can supply air mattress.

The bedroom has a queen bed, and en-suite bathroom has a single-stall shower and all linens and towels are provided. Off the kitchen is a private deck where you can enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks.

For your comfort, a portable AC unit is in the apartment for the summer heat, and blinds and curtains to keep things dark if you'd like to sleep in.

Parts of this home are air-conditioned from approximately Memorial Day until Labor Day each year. This home does not have central air conditioning.
Vacasa is a registered New York State sales tax vendor. And if Vacasa is the merchant of record will collect sales tax and applicable unit fees on all sales of short-term rental unit occupancy within New York State that it facilitates.

Located one short mile from the lake and the quaint village of Schroon Lake, this historic home boasts walls of stone and golden knotty pine along with plenty of modern amenities to ensure everyone is comfortable. Prepare meals in the well-equipped, full kitchen and then dine at the table for six or bring out the board games on rainy or snowy days.
