We had fun chatting with them over coffee in the morning while they prepped breakfast because we are early risers. We enjoyed the game room playing air hockey and cards. The pool table on the main floor was so much fun as well. So many rooms to enjoy on the main floor with books and tvs and sitting areas. We had fun playing the “Find Bernie Sanders bobblehead”. Trevor and Jessica were so nice and we got to meet a couple of their dogs, Minnie and her tongue was adorable. Trevor made the best pancakes. We definitely will stay here again, and are planning on booking all the rooms with our family and friends to enjoy for a getaway with us. Highly recommend The Ellis Inn! Burlington bike path starts about 1/4 mile from house and the bike ferry is also accessible. Pets are on a pre-approval basis. There is a pet fee and pet rules. With enough notice for an additional fee we can sometimes accommodate you with space for your boat either on a mooring or on the dock.

Plenty of onsite parking. Sports include chess/checker iron + glass table outdoors, badminton and basketball courts, cornhole tossing, labyrinth, and 2 State Parks within minutes with beaches, kayaking, cross-country skiing, etc. Multiple downhill ski areas, hiking trails, mountain resorts are within a short driving distance.

- "Very impressive gardens. Host met us and walked us through the property. We spent 14 days in this is a very comfortable studio with a skylight that kept it bright and cheery. A nice, screened porch where we enjoyed out coffee every morning then wandered through the multitude of paths in the 1.5-acre garden area with water fall and pond, gazebos, and fire pit sitting areas . We had friends over and they summed it up perfectly that it was like a “theme park”. The host checked with to see if we needed anything during out stay. - "We enjoyed being in the quiet rural area but still close to Burlington. The residence was pleasant and well equipped. The only caveat was that the stairway to the 2nd floor bedrooms was very narrow and steep and both bathrooms were on the 1st floor. Also, the modem for television and internet were located in the adjacent duplex and we had no television or internet access even after contacting Vacasa. It was not a problem for us, but would be for some guests."

Access to the water is by going around the side by the owner's property, and there are chairs by the lake as well. The owners, Dave and Renee, are the most amazing hosts. They were so welcoming and always available to help us out or give information when needed. Wonderful people and they really made our stay top notch. Their dogs and cats were an added bonus, as we love animals, so that was fun. It is an extremely peaceful & quite area, and a perfect place to unwind. "
