- "This was a wonderfully cozy house with plenty of space for our large party. It was also conducive to our gatherings of game nights or wine nights on their living room sofas. The beds were comfortable. One thing is that the stairs to get up to the top of the house are very steep. Fine for young groups but elderly might want to be cautious, even with the railing."

This sunny, beautifully decorated, fully furnished apartment is in an historic Civil War Infirmary building, part of the Sloan Hospital, and was rolled down the street from the Vermont College green in the 1870's, then fully updated with every modern convenience! The apartment is cozy during winter with loads of windows and sunshine, and cool in summer with A/C in the bedrooms if you feel you need it. The apartment includes a fully outfitted kitchen and bathroom with anything you might need. Hardwood floors add to the charm. There are 3 bedrooms - 2 rooms have Queen-size beds and 1 has a King. - "Rented the 3BR which was perfect for a friend and I, and would have been comfortable for 6 easily. 15 min walk downtown and 30-35 to Stowe. Would recommend!" - "I spent two days with my kids (18 and 20 years) at Beth's place and had great time! Very conveniently located in Montpelier, allows for easy access for a bunch of ski resorts as well as the convenience of being in a city with good restaurants. Beth was just fantastic from the minute we booked the house. She waited to show us the house, which is very convenient for a group (3 spacious bedrooms). We had no trouble at all and really enjoyed our stay at Beth's place, and she checked in daily with us to make sure everything went well. I would highly recommend Beth's place!"

- "My sisters and I stayed at this lovely, quintessential Vermont property in Montpelier. It was perfect! Very clean, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything we needed. It was warm and humid while we were there, but the house had two a/c units that kept the house very comfortable. The location is fantastic! Close to downtown Montpelier and a local favorite cremee stand. Will likely stay there again. Highly recommend it!" - "Great location perfect spot for traveling the state. - "We loved the location of the property. It had beautiful vistas and was very conveniently located to downtown Montpelier as well as for exploration of that area of Vermont. Beth was very helpful with suggestions and very responsive to our questions." - "Really nice place and location. Thank you !" - "Very nice stay and Beth was fantastic in every way." - "I stayed for about 10 days in June/July of 2019 in the small apartment above the garage. It was just me for most of the time, but my partner joined me for a few days. It was just the perfect size, and could accommodate more (maybe 3, or two couples who are good friends, or a small family) since there is an additional small comfy bedroom with a door separating the studio-like space. There is a full kitchen, equipped with much of what you need to cook and serve meals. Since it was summer, Beth provided a portable air conditioner that kept the space lovely and cool. The big picture window near the kitchen welcomes the day with a pleasant view. There is a couch/bed in the main studio space and a comfy chair and barstools at the counter space. I was very comfortable and felt at home in the space. If you're considering staying in the apartment, I would say GO FOR IT. Beth is delightful, Montpelier is lovely, and the space is quiet and comfortable."

- "We stayed in the downstairs apartment which was very well equipped, and the beds were unusually comfortable for a vacation rental. Beth is very friendly and helpful. We would stay there again for sure!" - "We had a wonderful stay at Beth and Bob's place in Montpelier! The home was easy to find, and was clean, cozy, and had absolutely everything we needed. It's located on a lovely, quiet street, and just a nice walk away from the downtown area. Beth and Bob were extremely gracious and communicative hosts. Despite living only an hour away, I wasn't too familiar with downtown Montpelier, and Beth was so helpful in providing suggestions for places to visit, eat, and grab a drink. We had a great dinner at Three Penny Taproom and delicious gelato at Chill. Beth had so many wonderful suggestions that I think we'll need to make another trip back soon! :)"

- "Clean, spacious home. Family had a great time. Easy drive to downtown Montpelier." - "A long-awaited get-together of high school buddies and two wives (total 5 people), along with two pups. House was exactly as described, and really beautiful. Close to Montpelier center, which has great shopping and restaurants. We also went glass-blowing (20 minutes away), and the menfolks went on a great hike with the pups. The management company was very responsive to a relatively minor household issue (top bedroom heat baseboards were not working) - they sent a specialist out, who fixed it in short order. Would love to stay here again."

Pristine air and water!
Montpelier has wonderful locally owned shops and restaurants, and a distillery (Barr Hill), an organic winery (Montpelier Vineyards), amazing bakery/coffeeshops (Capital Grounds is my favorite), and a chocolatier (Rabble Rouser)!

We had a very lovely and peaceful weekend. Thanks again Tracy." - "We stayed at the apartment while skiing at Stowe (40 min drive). The unit was very clean with plenty of room for our family of six to spread out. One bedroom does not have complete privacy but was fine for our teenage son. It is a shared unit and you do hear the other families at times. The owner was helpful in answering our questions."

- "This was our first family vacation to Vermont, and we chose River St House duplex in Montpelier as our base for a week of hiking and scenic drives. It worked out great! The property was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. It is about 1 mile from the small downtown area where we ate breakfast and dinner, and about 1/2 mile to an organic food co-op where we found pre-made sandwiches and deli foods to take on our hikes for lunch. Our host was very responsive to our questions about the property so we knew what to expect when we arrived. In addition, she quickly provided access information on my cell phone when I had trouble receiving it from the Vrbo site. A small electric heater in the living room was enough to keep the house temperature comfortable in the early fall weather, and small fans in the bedrooms provided some air movement and white noise to mitigate occasional sounds from traffic and the neighbors. We slept well and thoroughly enjoyed our first vacation to Vermont!"

- "The problem wasn't the place itself, it was an old farmhouse that wasn't fancy but it was a good location with 3 bedrooms. The problem was having a 4 pm check-in and arriving at 4 pm and finding all the beds unmade, used towels still lying around, then having to use SMS text to communicate because the phone tree doesn't work and get you to a live person. The "local crew arrived at 8.30 pm and was pleasant, said we would receive a credit for the service fee, looked at CC, and of course, it's there, so have to dispute that now. Prefer local hosts and not corp-owned places. So now will have to deal with credit card company, after wasting time texting them, and sending pictures because they couldn't get a place cleaned by 4pm, but they have no problem charging you for the whole day."
