Meticulously taken care of, spotlessly clean c1800 Farmhouse 2500 sq. ft. Plenty of room for all... Half mile walk into the quaint town of Franconia. Large 24x16 family room with REAL fireplace (wood provided), wall unit A/C, sectional couch and plenty of games for all ages. Fully stocked, large eat in kitchen w/beautiful stemware and dishes, gas stove, dishwasher, new side by side Samsung fridge. There is an additional living room that is perfect for quiet space reading or working. Adjacent is a formal dining area with table allowing seating for up to 10. You will love the old fashioned see through china cabinet! The house has air tight Pella windows and Oil baseboard heat. Beautiful hardwood and wide pine floors throughout the house. There are four bedrooms sleeping 8 comfortably although we easily can accommodate more. Master with King bed on 1st floor with private full bath, three bedrooms upstairs one with two twins, second bedroom has a full size bed and third bedroom queen size bed. There is another full size large bathroom upstairs with double sinks. All linens, blankets, towels provided. Large laundry room, mud room for coats/shoes. Outside there is a FRONT porch to relax and rock your cares away. The yard is spacious plenty of room for football games! Walk out to BACK deck with grill, dining table and Adirondack chairs. Also enjoy roasting marshmallows in our fire pit outside. Our home is Just a short walk into the little town of Franconia complete with grocery store, coffee, lunch, little shops. New to town is the "IRON FURNANCE BREWERY!!" We are so excited for this amazing new addition to Franconia! Eat great food and drink craft beer...and walk home!!

Summer/Fall: 15 minute drive to Franconia Notch State Park (a scenic area including Echo Lake for swimming and boating, an aerial tramway to the top of 4,000 ft Cannon Mt, walking and biking trails, the Appalachian Trail and a network of other AMC hiking trails and camping huts). Also nearby are two golf courses, tennis facilities, lakes and rivers for fishing and boating, and riding stables.

On a large corner lot with few homes nearby, this home has a groovy 70s feel with a beamed ceiling, angled picture windows, playful furnishings, and a circular crushed velvet sofa. Updated throughout, it has a new kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances and abundant cooking equipment, renovated bathrooms, and three new queen mattresses to choose from. Three floors, each with a full bathroom, means it can host a crowd and feel separated. A glass front wood stove lets you enjoy a fire with minimal tending.

Located 5 minutes drive to the Franconia Notch attractions that include the Flume, the Basin, and Echo Lake recreation area (swimming and boat rentals), and what is widely regarded as the best day-hikes in the region. The Appalachian trail traverses the notch, and if you hike up to backcountry huts, Lonesome Lake, or Greenleaf huts late in the day, you may catch a glimpse of 1,000-mile through-hikers on their last 100 miles. If you want to experience backcountry overnights, we highly recommend those (Lonesome, Zealand, Galen, or Greenleaf make good combinations nearby) and signing up early. New Hampshire hiking is on well-worn but rough and sometimes steep historic trails, with many waterfalls and swirling granite pools for unique north country cold water fun. For those who seek a warm pond, directions are provided to one in next town over that is perfect for the youngest kids. With several gourmet ice cream shops, the Colonial Theater for events, and a steady stream of smaller quieter summer festivals, here you can get away from it all, but still access diversions.

There is a huge sunny deck, an outdoor patio with fire pit (kettle BBQ available), and a large mowed field for dogs (extra fee) and kids. From the deck, you can hear a rushing brook and almost no cars, yet be a convenient 3 minutes off the highway and 2 miles from the quaint yet lively tiny town of Franconia. Franconia’s local pub was the subject of a recent ‘Restaurant Impossible’ episode after a top Brooklyn chef moved here for the quiet life and to manage a smaller space. This is part of a dining revival throughout the area, with a range of exceptional summer dining ranging from new breweries to outstanding Thai food, to brick oven pizzerias in an old watermill on the river, and the incomparable Pollys Pancake Parlor with its incredible views.

- "I can't say enough great things about this beautiful home and Tim the property manager who made our check in very easy and always there when we had questions or suggestions on restaurants in the area. The location in Franconia was very convenient to 93, getting to Bretton Woods and also the Ice Castles in Lincoln. Everything was about 20-30 minutes from the house. The house itself was absolutely beautiful and very well kept. The fireplace was definitely a focal point as it was 2 sided in the dining room and also the living room. I was very relaxing after a full day of exploring and snowmobiling in Bretton woods. The game room downstairs was also a hit! We didn't have a chance to use the hot tub, but it looked like it was very clean and inviting. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable Tim!! This cozy cottage is situated in the heart of the White Mountains, located near all the attractions and necessities. You’ll have less than a mile walk to downtown Franconia, where you’ll find a great little grocery market and a handful of shops and restaurants, some of which include a great sandwich shop and a fantastic brewery. This home is located just off the highway (I93), which makes for easy navigation and an ideal location for exploring the area. Just a little further up the road are the towns of Bethlehem and Littleton, with many restaurants, shops, and attractions, and just a short drive south through Franconia Notch are the bustling towns of Lincoln and Woodstock.

Our home has two bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms and is completely set up for guests. The kitchen has all the basic kitchenware essentials and we provide sheets and towels. We have one queen bedroom on the main floor, along with the full bathroom. Upstairs is the second queen bedroom which also contains two chairs that fold out into twin size beds (best suited for kids). Extra linens can be found on site for these twin beds, as well as for the pullout couch. The cozy little living room has a large tv with streaming capabilities. From the living room you have access to the beautiful screened in back porch.

- "The stay would have been really good except for the host not being in communication. The host did not send check in information until I called VRBO. once at the property we were unable to find the tv remote. Which is not a big issue but we could not control the volume with the Roku remote. I sent the host a message and never received a response. Other than that the property serves it’s purpose for us. Very accessible to Canon mountain where my daughter was running a race."

Our old home in the shadow of Cannon and Kinsman Mountains is, as one guest said, “as comfortable as your old slippers.” We await your arrival. Come in the winter for skiing, snowshoeing or hiking. Summer finds guests exploring the area by foot, bicycle, or car and sitting on the front porch as the sun sets. And of course in the fall, Mother Nature paints our trees glorious shades from her palette for all to see whether from the mountain tops as you hike or the valleys as you drive.

The space
The bedrooms are not pretentious by any means, but are comfortable and clean. This double room features one queen bed with space for a twin rollaway or crib. Guest will have use of a connected private bath. All bedrooms are on the second floor. The first floor belongs to all. The dining room is bright and large. The fireplace room is a welcome retreat on a cold winter’s day and the parlor on the north end has been made more comfortable with the addition of a gas-fired stove. This room also has a TV with satellite dish antenna. In the warmer months, the front porch facing west becomes the favorite spot to sit, or even enjoy a meal. All are welcome to pass through, and even linger in the spacious kitchen facing the mountains.

Children are welcome, as are your pets, well mannered we’re sure. We would like to know in advance if you plan to bring Fido and/or Whiskers. We provide free hi-speed wireless internet access.

A full-breakfast is included in your rate and includes eggs cooked-to-order, fresh fruit, homemade muffins and a daily selection of pancakes, waffles or French toast.

We have hosted two wedding receptions, a farewell party, a wedding rehearsal dinner and a family reunion for which the whole house was rented. Our back yard can accommodate a tent up to 40 x 100 feet and the kitchen may be used by a caterer.

This cabin is a short (5 minute) drive over the river and through the woods from downtown Franconia. There is a private driveway for parking. Guests are required to be prepared with a capable 4WD or AWD vehicle equipped with appropriate winter tires in winter months (October 1 through March 31) as significant snow accumulation is always a possibility in the area. The gravel driveway and private road leading to it will be plowed to clear heavy snow fall, but some snow will always remain on the gravel.

Check yourself in and don't worry about a set of keys with easy keypad entry.
