This beautiful log cabin is the sister cabin to our Romantic log cabin located nearby on Ridge Rd. We have been renting since 2008 and are proud to have a 5 star rating. Located on a dead end road in a quiet wooded location, the cabin is truly a gem in the heart of the Mt Washington Valley. World class x-country skiing, hiking and fishing is only minutes away as is some of the finest downhill skiing in the east. For groups up to 12 people we can accommodate in both of our cabins that are within walking distance from each other. Eagle Mt Cabin has a wooded lot with a large yard and a large front porch with a hot tub for relaxing on. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one with a King-sized bed and one with two twins. There is a sleeping loft with a queen sized bed and another sleeping loft which makes 4 bedrooms in total. The living room has a cathedral ceiling and there is a large porch and winter mountain views. All required amenities including, stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, Wireless internet and cable TV are provided. A pellet stove, and a fire pit are also included.

The check-in was smooth, with the owner there to show us the nuances of the cabin while also giving recommendations about the local area (our girls loved swimming in Jackson Falls). This is a true log cabin - logs on the outside, wooden walls, not a piece of drywall anywhere. The hot tub was on a large deck on the back overlooking some trees. It was easy from here to get to North Conway if you have dinner or need supplies. We can’t wait to come again, thank you!"

THE PROPERTY

2,900 square foot home. Three levels. Master Bedroom with King bed | Bedroom 2: Queen Bed | Bedroom 3: 2 Twin Beds | Office: 2 Twin Beds. Two family living areas, first and second levels. Our home is set on the side of Middle Mountain, just below Tryol Mountain in Jackson,N.H. the property is quiet and private. There is a wrap around deck with covered porch area which is safe for toddlers and dogs . The house has a tree house effect in that it is situated up on the property and looks down over Jackson Village and the surrounding area. There are three levels to the house.

FIRST FLOOR:
After going up a set of large steps surrounded by stone work terracing and gardens, there is a first level covered porch here that has 2 chairs and table. The entry leads you right to the large outdoor gear room to your right. There are many hooks on the walls as well as shelves and two large church pews for changing into and out of gear. We supply backpacks, umbrellas, snowshoes,crampons, and hiking sticks for your convenience. The outdoor gear/mudroom is blue tile while the family/game room is white maple wood flooring. On the other side of the split wall is the family game room,half bath and another church pew still set on tile. You'll find a Hathaway 9' shuffle board and tournament Tornado foosball table, a closet full of games, 2small sofas, t.v. with Xbox, and a 50" Touchstone fireplace mounted on the wall. The room has plenty of windows with mountain views. On your left as you walk into the house is the laundry room area and has a wall of toys, games, and books for children and grown-ups. We supply picnic coolers,chairs,beach towels...There is a second refrigerator with a freezer. And also, washer and dryer, ironing board...

SECOND FLOOR:

A front door leads to the covered front porch where you'll find a swing bench, tables, the charbroil grill, and a rocking chair. French doors in living area lead to the side of the house with wrap around deck, dining table for eight, 2 couches with thick comfy cushions and the Weber Genesis grill. There is also a propane firepit. The dining room door takes you to the backyard and the outdoor ping pong table as well as more seating areas, two hammocks, and a stone water pond. The dining room is surrounded by three walls of windows and has a french provincial table with seating for eight and two expanding leaves. The kitchen was custom designed with hand milled white oak cabinets and soapstone counters. Stainless double Kenmore wall oven, cooktop, and fridge. The walk in pantry is full of staples that you might find useful.

THIRD FLOOR:
The master has a king size bed, 50" Touchstone fireplace and 6' grey leather mirror. In the master there is a double shutter window that holds a beautiful view of Mount Washington.There is a walk in closet where Baby Bjorn crib, toddler bed gates, baby gates, pac n play, high chair, and linens are kept. The bathroom is large and easy to share as it has a dividing wall between shower area and sink/vanity area. There is a large closet with shelves and plenty of storage.

THE AREA

I love Jackson and the surrounding areas and am more than happy to give suggestions and recommendations before you arrive or when you arrive. Please feel free to contact me anytime! I will be in the area and hope to meet fellow travelers but also respect those that simply want privacy. This is living in the mountains at it's best. One mile down our mountain is Jackson Village with charming shops and dining. Out the front door at the end of middle mountain trail road, you can pick up hiking or snowshoe trails which are part of the Tin Mine Conservation trails encompassing 17 acres of fields, 211 acres of forest, a couple of old tin mines, and four ponds to explore. Use Alltrails App and look for tin mine trail.
Jackson Falls is right down the mountain 1.2 miles, an easy walk down. The falls are a must see and experience. Pack a picnic and spend a weekday or weekend early evening when tourists have left. Big slabs of warm boulders, big and small swimming holes, and a beautiful view.
In Jackson you can also explore the Ellis river and the Wildcat river. There are pony rides and trail riding a short and scenic two mile drive from the house at Black Mountain which is also a great ski area filled with the nostalgia of the old days, t-bars... The Shovel Handle Pub there will have you feeling as though you have made a huge step back in time, absolutely charming.
There is so much to see and do nearby, I hardly know where to start. So, Google the Jackson NH chamber of commerce for their links and that should keep you busy! Also, click on their calendar events.
One of the best perks of being in this area is avoiding the traffic in Conway! There are so many beautiful places to go and things to do that will truly get you away from it all!
Black Mountain is the closest ski area, less than 2 miles away and a lovely drive. Attitash and Cranmore ski areas are a 20 min. Drive. Wildcat ski area is 30 min. Away. Storyland is 7 minutes away and avoids all traffic.

Our Northwoods Cabin has been recently renovated. A new kitchen has been installed complete with new cabinetry, stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Our eat-in kitchen has a round table that seats four and an island with two stools. We have all the cookware and dishes you need to cook up your family's favorite meal-the only thing you provide is the food! It also has a sliding door that leads to our covered porch so you can enjoy our outdoor view. Our living room has a wide comfortable couch, two reclining chairs, a fireplace and a smart Flat Screen TV. Our two bedrooms sleep 5-one double bed in bedroom number 1 and two twin beds and a rollaway in bedroom number 2. (OUR GUESTS PROVIDE THEIR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS). Our bath has a shower and a tub. And you will enjoy having a mud room with a washer and dryer! On the outside we offer a covered porch with two tables and seating for four, a gas grill and a picnic table. The home is perched above the Ellis River and in the summer when you open the windows the sound of the river flows through the entire house. In the winter, it is a short walk to Nestle Brook Farm where you can ice skate, take sleigh rides, and drink hot coco by an open fire. Escape the crowds head to this Unique Mountian Hideaway where the air is pure, and has the scent of Balsam Christmas Trees. Can drive right to the door until snow builds up. Then its a 300 yard hike to cabin, pack sleds provided. Due to extensive use the trail is packed down. At 77 yrs I have no trouble making the trek in, also caretaker /cleaning lady and repeat guests have no issue. Although if not in good physical shape I would not recommend it. - "Nice quiet spot. Comfortable bed, beautiful view. Pool was relaxing also." - "The apartment was located in a nice secluded area, off the main road. The directions made it easy to find and the photos and description were accurate and the apartment was perhaps nicer than the photos. It was well maintained and the rooms were very clean and neat. The King Bed was comfortable, although a bit high off the floor and some may find it perhaps a bit of a challenge to get up into if you you were not tall or had some mobility issues. The shower was nice and plenty of Hot Water. We did not use the very large tub, that could easily accommodate two and was of whirlpool variety. With staying in August the room temperature was pleasant even without the heat pump air conditioning. We just left the windows and balcony door open and the air was fresh and clean and made for a great sleep. We have no problem recommending it for a stay if all of the above is what you are looking for. Would we stay again if in the area again? I would have to say yes, as I cannot think of any negative reasons why not. It was a pleasant and relaxing stay for us and we enjoyed this property very much. :-)"

We purchased this cleared lot on an old ski mountain in 2015. The NH sourced log cabin was erected in 2016. We took a basic floor plan and expanded and modified it to fit our active mountain lifestyle. The kitchen includes a farmhouse sink as well as poured concrete countertops. The convertible kitchen table is wood from the UNH lumber mill. The kitchen appliances were purchased for a family that enjoys cooking and eating. The bathrooms were designed and built by us to incorporate the cabin feel. Beds were built using leftover logs. Hot water is an on-demand system. Some of the ski racks in the cabin are our kids' old skis.

There is a second cabin built on the neighboring lot and a picture included of it thru the woods. You may see guests enter in and out of that cabin. This is a private setting in the White Mountain National Forrest with a few other cabins in the area and a few hundred feet off Route 16, some like the proximity to the main road for ease of getting around and the sounds of the river, however with this proximity you will also hear the sounds of the road at the cabin.

I have several other great cabins in the area, with the same amenities, so if this is booked look, look under my profile for my other cabins or at NHMTrentals web site.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, hotplate, microwave, small fridge, griddle, convection toaster oven and all cooking accessories. Also is an outdoor charcoal grill and fire pit with grate.

The surrounding area and proximity to trails can allow hiking out your front door. We are so close to the Ellis River you can hear it. Snow Shoes & toboggan provided to take advantage of the surrounding trails and small sledding hill on property. Enjoy Jackson and Glen Falls nearby. Also, if cigarette butts are left outside or trash left out by the hot tub (pet peeves of mine), an additional $25 cleaning fee will be assessed.

Things to note. ceiling height is low in the upstairs/loft/bedroom and the entrance. If you're over 6.4 ft tall, you may bump your head. Water is from a drilled well and tested, but will have minerals and you may prefer to bring your own drinking water. This being the case, when new water is added to the hot tub, you may see some coagulation which is normal. Simply wipe this out. Pressure in shower/faucets is generally lighter than your typical home and particles can build up in the filters/screens on the faucets/shower head blocking flow (easy fix). Hot water is an electric tankless and will not run out.

PETS NEED PRIOR APPROVAL and agreement to our pet policy. You must send us a message if you are bringing a pet and will need to pay a pet fee.

In extreme cold, you will want to use the provided electric space heater (also good for drying wet clothes from hiking, etc) in addition to the gas fireplace. This is a real log cabin, so walls are not smooth, may have rough edges, splinters from logs, hooks & nails to hold windows open. Front door is latched with pad lock and branch handle.

Not suitable for events or large gatherings, NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS. Must have good neighbor policy and rules posted.

You must supply your own fire wood from in state an follow state fire permit requirements.

The Grill is CHARCOAL, so please bring your own.

For WINTER access, ONLY go RT 16 thru JACKSON CENTER, do not follow your GPS off 16a- Bartlett Dundee Road, as it is closed in the winter.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, propane stove, microwave, fridge, griddle, toaster and all cooking accessories. Also is an outdoor charcoal grill and fire pit with grate.

The main sleeping area upstairs has a queen bed with memory foam an two built in twins cubby beds and on the main level a futon.

A side hill provides and opportunity to sled on the toboggan provided in addition to two pairs of snow shoes. Hot tub stays open all winter. Back Country ski trails, hiking trails, snow showing, right out the front door.

Being a rustic cabin in the woods, although we professionally treat for ants/mice etc. there can be times when they get into a cabin. Its rare, as you can see we are well booked, but it can happen in a cabin, so for full disclosure, I feel its best to let guest know being in the woods, it could happen.

We have 3 cabins in Jackson and 1 in interval, if this is booked please check out my other cabins' availability.

Since AIRBNB doesn't offer seasonal pricing like other sites, I may need to adjust the pricing depending on when you book and since Airbnb doesn't add pet fee, I will manually need to add a a $10 pet fee per nigh and send pet policy.

Due to regulations we can not host any events, gathering on this property, its just for those staying and who have booked and the travelers staying (max guests 4).

CERTAIN WEEKENDS/HOLIDAYS may require rate adjustment and min stays

Also, please keep in mind, this is a rustic cabin, in the woods, with modern amenities, however, its a former hikers cabin, so being in the woods, you may have a run in with nature, in the spring we can get carpenter ants and we do treat but it maybe hard to eradicate 100% them for this period and mice will try to make their way into any warm place such as a cabin, so please do not leave food out to attract them. We do treat for it, but we have had very few situations when this can become and issue and just want to set property expectations about stay in NH, in Cabin, in the woods.

We have a new drilled well May 2021, and you may still want to bring your own drinking water.

Disclaimer: We lived here for 18 months with our 3 Devon Rex cats (hypoallergenic) while our home was being built, and we have had a few canine visitors in the past several months. Although we have made every effort to thoroughly clean the space, we want to provide a transparent and considerate experience for those with severe allergies to cats or dogs.

While we take pride in our cleaning practices, we understand that some individuals may have specific sensitivities or allergies. Therefore, if you have a severe allergy to cats or dogs, we kindly recommend that you refrain from taking a chance with your health and consider alternative accommodations.

Other things to note
There is a private driveway at the home entrance which will accommodate two cars. We keep this area plowed in winter.

You will have the entire home to yourself with the exception of my husband's woodworking shop which will be locked and unoccupied while you are visiting. We live on site and our home is on the same property a few hundred yards away. We do not use the patio/grill or firepit when hosting guests, those are all yours for your entire stay.

It began with excellent communication prior to our arrival and got even better with fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. The kitchen is well stocked and heaven if you like K-Cups. The several sitting areas are well lit and comfortable. The main area receives soothing natural light as well. If you need to get work done the Wi-Fi connection is strong. The bedding and shower are superb. There is a picturesque view of Jackson from the kitchen area. The only thing missing was snow – but there is always next year."

We are a short 10 minute drive to North Conway and all it has to offer, close to all ski resorts, hiking trails and across the street from Story Land! Rules and Guidelines

We’re so glad you chose to stay with us and since you are, we need to let you in on a couple of rules and guidelines. We don’t have too many but the ones we do have we ask that you please respect and follow. Thanks!

Arriving/During your stay:

We only have one parking spot (H6). When you have more than 1 car you have to park the extra cars down at the country club. It’s a little hassle but we are working on possibly adding more parking for the future if you choose to return (and we hope you do!)

Noise Curfew is 10pm-9am. The fun doesn't have to stop, it just needs to be quieter fun!

Indoor Gas Fireplace: You are welcome to use the indoor gas fireplace but we please ask that you turn it off when you leave and during the night. We have based board heating and a large space heater in the living room which we ask that you use as your main source of heat.

WINTER PARKING RULES: In the event that it snows to the extent that plowing is required, cars need to be moved (while plow is outside unit clearing parking spots.) We understand this is an inconvenience but the HOA charges us $100 if a car is not moved. Therefore we ask that you are attentive to when the plow is working outside the unit and move your car allowing him to clear your parking spot. If you do not move the car, we will charge you an extra $100 to forward to the housing association. Again, we apologize for this inconvenience. Please reach out if you have any questions on this particular rule.

The Club at Christmas Mountain is located close to the unit. The club offers indoor and outdoor pools, a game room with air hockey and video games, a library with table games and ping pong, a billiards room and a fitness room in the basement, as well as changing rooms and other amenities. As a guest of our condo, you'll have access to the club for up to 6 people. You can bring additional guests, but if there are more than 6 people in your party, there is a nominal per person fee after the 6th person.

A wood stove is available to keep you warm all year or just provide that extra bit of romance in the evenings. Cable via Roku TV and free Wifi is included in your stay. The kitchen is fully stocked. Take it easy at this historic property. It is truly a unique and tranquil getaway. This apartment is the former owner's apartment located right inside the Inn at Jackson. The entrance is located right in the back side of the Inn. See the photo for the path to the entrance of this great apartment.
The apartment is close to the Wentworth Golf course, Storyland, and the Living shores ( a new aquarium feature). It is near skiing, hiking, kayak, biking, restaurants and nightlife.

The space
A great fully equipped two bedroom apartment. A 50 inch TV in the living room and a TV in the master Bedroom. All the furniture is new and very comfortable. The kitchen is fully equipped with great appliances

Guest access
Free parking right in the parking lot for the Inn at Jackson. The apartment entrance is located right around the back of the Inn at Jackson. See the listings photo for the pathway to the entrance.

Other things to note
The apartment is not associate with the Inn at Jackson so none of the amenities of the Inn are available for Jackson Hideaway guests. Breakfast will not be provided. Housekeeping services will not be provided during your stay.

On the back deck we have a new Weber grill. Additionally, we provide everything you need to make s'mores! :)

In the den, a 60-inch TV with streaming access awaits, complemented by a cozy gas fireplace allowing you to sit back and unwind after an adventurous day in the White Mountains.

Downstairs we have three spacious bedrooms, all with same chalet charm with the beautiful woodwork on the ceiling. The master bedroom has a king bed and two closets. The second bedroom also has a queen bed and ample closet space, while the third bedroom is always a kid favorite containing 2 sets of bunks, one twin over full and the other is a twin over twin bunk.

Full bathrooms are located on both floors, ensuring convenience for all. The bath on the first floor has been completely redone, equipped with a heated floor and a beautiful rain shower. The second bathroom, which is situated outside the foyer when you walk into the house has a bathtub which is great for families with young kids.

Our town is a quiet town and has strict vacation rental regulations, so we must ask all guests to follow the community regulations and be a good neighbor.

There is a second cabin built on the neighboring lot and a picture is included of it thru the woods. You may see guests enter in and out of that cabin. This is a private setting in the White Mountain National Forrest with a few other cabins in the area and a few hundred feet off Route 16, some like the proximity to the main road for ease of getting around and the sounds of the river, however with this proximity you will also hear the sounds of the road at the cabin.

I have several other great cabins in the area, with the same amenities, so if this is booked, look under my profile for my other cabins or at NHMTrentals web site.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to cook, hotplate, microwave, small fridge, griddle, convection toaster oven and all cooking accessories. Also is an outdoor charcoal grill and fire pit with grate.

The surrounding area and proximity to trails can allow hiking out your front door. We are so close to the Ellis River you can hear it. Snow Shoes & toboggan provided to take advantage of the surrounding trails and small sledding hill on property. Enjoy Jackson and Glen Falls nearby. Also Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, Jackson XC Skiing Center. I can get discounted tickets to Nesslenook Sleigh Rides, Black MT and Cranmore. Tubing available at Glenn

For Example most weekends I prefer 2 night minimum, and certain weekends like Labor Day, Memorial Day, MLK for 3 nights.

Our property doesn’t have charging capabilities for electric vehicles however you may be able to use the outdoor outlet. Please make sure to get our approval prior so we can monitor in case of any issues and the fee will be $15/night.


Since we use independent cleaner and maintenance companies that make their own schedule, we cannot guarantee an early check in or late check out. If you wish to request an early or late check in/out, please reach out the day of your arrival or departure. We may have to charge a $25 fee to coordinate with the cleaner and maintenance companies to adjust their schedule. We often have same day check in and out, so if you would like to secure an early check in or late check out in advance, it will require us to block and adjust the rate for an additional night.

Since we are in a rustic location in the woods you may on rare occasions have a situation where mice or other pests may try to enter the cabin or find the wooded area to have other animals, squirrels, chipmunks, and insects being in the national forest. We treat the cabin for pests, but any property in the woods will find it impossible to avoid 100% of the time and we ask you not to leave open food out as it will attract out side visitors.

Our expanded cabin is close to river swimming, family-friendly activities, national forest adventures, skiing and ski trails, and North Conway dining. You’ll love the comfy beds and New England charm. We're great for couples, families with kids/pets, and big groups.
The massive, vaulted-ceiling master bedroom features a queen bed and reading nook. Two additional sleeping areas up stairs/ladder feature a queen bed and two twin beds. A pull-out sofa adorns the cozy living room with fireplace.

The space
Originally a hand-built skiing lodge, our family expanded this cabin three times over into a full home, with vaulted ceilings in the master bedroom, two bathrooms, office space, a front balcony and back deck, a second story with two additional bedrooms, garage, kitchen and dining room, and that original one-room cabin(with lower-than-normal ceiling) as the warm living room heart of it all.

Guest access
You'll have the full run of the cabin, including the heated one-car garage, front and back decks, and a backyard where you can hear the river through the trees. In the winter, you're welcome to use wood in the woodshed. The second story of the cabin is up steep-ish stairs, making the master bedroom and living room sleeper sofa better accessible choices. The upstairs beds are in separate rooms without doors.

Hang out on the 1st floor to play games, watch movies, enjoy a group meal, relax after a hike, or rest in the king room. Or for more privacy, head upstairs where there are 2 more bedrooms & another full bath for friends or for the kids. This quiet retreat is nestled between the villages of Jackson and North Conway on a rural country road but is within 15 min. from 3 alpine ski resorts, 3 nordic ski areas, hiking trails, golf clubs, restaurants, entertainment, and shopping.

The space

This spacious home will accommodate 8 people, whether you are a family with children or just a group of friends. There are two bedrooms on the second floor with a full bathroom, a third bedroom on the first floor, and a queen size pullout couch in the family room. The first-floor bathroom includes a handicap friendly tub/shower unit.

The house is surrounded by the woods on three sides and overlooks a large field, where guests can meander at leisure to pick wildflowers, build a snowman, run the dog, or take an invigorating backcountry ski or snowshoe. There are also trails through the woods for further exploration, exercise, and communion with nature.

Indoors, the spacious master bedroom contains a king size bed made with two extra long twins, so these can be pulled apart to make two separate beds if preferred. The second bedroom contains 2 twin beds. The third bedroom has another king bed. We have a very comfortable Yogibo, appropriate for a toddler or adult, that can be put in any of the rooms, and you are free to bring your own pop-up crib or air mattress for additional sleep space.

The kitchen includes a full-size electric range and oven, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, electric coffee maker, percolator, coffee bean grinder, teapot, food processor, cookware, dishes, and utensils. We are happy to supply coffee filters, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, sponges, dish towels, pot holders, paper towels, and basic cooking supplies like oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, and some spices.

Adjoining the kitchen is a dining room with a table for six (with room for more), a nice and sunny space in front of a row of large windows.

The entire first story has beautiful hardwood flooring, as do the staircase and the upstairs hallway. The two upstairs bedrooms have wall-to-wall carpeting. All bedrooms contain closet space and dressers.

As we live on a rural road in the North Country, the electricity will occasionally go out in a storm. But the house uses gravity fed water so that you will still have enough pressure to run water and flush the toilet on the first floor, even without electricity. The house also has two wood stoves that can be used for backup heat in cases of longer outages, which are rare but possible nonetheless.

There is a studio apartment attached to the main house with one tenant, but guests still have their own space and privacy. See the "Other details to note" section for more information.

WINTER NOTE: four or all wheel drive vehicles are recommended in the winter for the driveway and neighborhood, preferably with snow tires. There is a slight incline in the driveway and it sometimes gets slippery. Plowing happens when it makes the most sense based on weather conditions and forecasts, the standard being every 6 inches of snow. Rain mixed with snow is also a contributing factor in the timing of plowing.

The yard surrounds three sides of the house.

Between the house and the road is a large field that is covered with daffodils in the spring and wildflowers in the summer.

Beyond the yards are the woods on all sides, part of the Dundee Community Forest. The house is located on a paved mountain road that is great for walking, jogging, or biking. But note that you will encounter hills in either direction.

The Neighbor:
Attached to the Spring House is a studio apartment with a year-round tenant. The house and the studio each come with their own private yards and entrances. The tenant is a quiet, yet friendly professional with a mild-mannered dog.

Office:
We have a small office space between the house and the studio. During your stay, we would only access it to retrieve stored resources or supplies; it would not be used for business.

Strider:
We also have a black cocker spaniel who pays occasional visits to the property. He is super friendly and sweet, and his main interests are hiking, playing, and belly rubs. Please do not feed him or let him into the house.

The perfect place to getaway with family and friends! This beautifully maintained 3 bedroom condo is in the perfect setting to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones.
