- "Great place. Nice people. Recommend." - "The stay was out of season so not all services were available. Staff that was there were very helpful and nice. I would stay there again" - "The inn is very cute and we enjoyed our stay. The so-called continental breakfast, however, was very disappointing. There were just a few very mundane options to choose from, so we paid money to eat elsewhere." - "Charming and relaxing. Wonderful front porch. The grounds are a bit messed up now due to construction of a side deck, which looks like it will be a spectacular restaurant setting when it's done."

- "This house was great for our group of six families. We loved that we each got our own bathroom and that the pool was only 4ft deep since we have small children. There was so much space and we didn't feel cramped at all. The moms were able to escape one night and literally walked across the street for a drink. We didn't venture out much since there were so many of us but had great weather and hung out by the pool both days. Would probably have gotten more use our of the game room if our kids were a bit older- 6 months to 5---but they loved the pool and also a nice yard for games."

Quaint 100+ year old cabin close to the heart of Bethel Center that has been in my family for 4 generations. This is a rustic, simple log cabin with heat and electricity, but NO RUNNING WATER AND AN OUTHOUSE. You must be an outdoorsy, laid back type of person to be ok with our lovely cabin.
Come and enjoy the cozy, artsy, rustic cabin, 3 mins to the Bethel town center and 14 min (8.4 miles) from Sunday River Ski Resort, 12 minutes (8.2 miles) from Mt. Abrams and half hour (20 miles) from Grafton Notch.
This is one of the oldest, original log cabins in the area. It is incredibly unique, but is certainly not for everyone. It is a one room cabin with a separate outhouse. There is one king bed and a trundle twin.
Even though this space is cleaned regularly, you will still encounter the occasional bug or mouse. There is an outhouse with a typical outhouse toilet, a clawfoot tub (supplied with water that you bring and heated to the temp you desire inside the cabin, then brought out to the containers in the outhouse) where you can take 'camp' showers and a dry sink to wash your face and brush your teeth (think 1800's). This amazing cabin has been in my family for 4 generations, so please be respectful of the space and treat it as you would a family treasure.
Because of the close proximity to the trees, please be respectful and only have small bonfires.
When you request to stay here, Please confirm that you understand that this is a cabin with no running water and an outhouse. And that even though this cabin is cleaned often, there will still be mice and spiders. I don't want anyone to be surprised. Surprises are only good when they involve chocolate and diamond rings. HA HA
This cabin has been in my family for generations and should be treated with the utmost care and respect. Please leave it exactly as you found it.
For water: Roadside Spring
Woodstock, ME 04219
https://goo.gl/maps/W9M2zDAQ5NmjigybA
You will have access to the entire cabin and outhouse. The property itself is tiny and it only about a 1/4 of an acre, so please be respectful of the property surrounding the cabin. The cabin is accessible via a passcode lock. There are also keys in a lockbox, in case there are issues with the lock. There will be a $250 fee for lost keys.
I am a remote host, but am always available by e-mail if you need assistance. We also have local folks around that are available if you have an emergency.
Can't stress enough that the cabin is very rustic, but charming. if you are afraid of spiders or mice, this is not the place for you.
Check in is at 3PM and Check out is at eleven.
There is absolutely no hunting or guns allowed in/around the cabin. Guns are to be left in your vehicle, properly locked up or left at home.
Also, there is absolutely no cutting down of trees on the property. You may pick up fallen branches to burn in the fire pit.
• Dogs are allowed for a fee of $5 per dog/per day. We will send you a resolution request after the booking to collect this fee. There is a $250 fee for any dog poo that is left behind and you will be charged for any damage that your furry friend does to the cabin, including an additional $500 cleaning fee for any urination on the wood floors or furniture.
Roadside Spring
Woodstock, ME 04219
Quiet neighborhood with moderate street traffic, no visible neighbors. Cabin is set back about 150 feet from the street and is usually peaceful. You may occasionally hear the street traffic if a larger vehicle goes by. If you bring a pooch, make sure you keep an eye on them. It's super quick to get to the street and I would hate for a tragedy to happen.
Bethel Village is only about 1.5 miles up the street. Bethel has amazing food, a wonderful brewery, coffee shop and lovely shops. Sunday River and Mount Abrams are super close as well.
- "This was the perfect place for two people and their dogs to stay during the fourth of July weekend. Nice and quiet, but not too far from hikes, breweries, and great food!" - "This cabin was such a delight to stay in, and the host was so kind and communicative. When we arrived we found a welcome basket with an assortment of brochures for local attractions and a manuel containing answers to just about every question we could have about the cabin and the surrounding area. The space was clean and cozy when we arrived. The host’s listing accurate described the rustic space and the available amenities. My friend and I had such a nice stay here, and would love to visit again another time. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!"

- "Perfect peaceful spot to unwind and relax. Beautiful spot, Yurt and bathhouse." - "We were a group of 3 friends who snow shoes and x- country ski, it was perfect. Just “ roughing it” enough but the bathrooms and showers were perfect. Yurts are well made and beautiful. Also kudos to the addition of Solo stoves. We will bd returning next year. Thank you" - "This property is almost brand new with beautiful woodwork throughout. We were so taken with the artistry that we were very careful with our food and any water usage not to leave a surface wet or with the potential for staining. Western Maine Yurts is like a 5 star facility for us because the yurts and the bathhouse are so cool. We did not have ANY issues. Perfection."

- "Great stay! Beautiful spot!" - "It was comfortable and had a good location. Other reviewers had mentioned steep stairs to bathroom from bedroom so we were knew what to expect. Great stay in Bethel." - "This fully equipped loft condo was quiet and comfortable with huge sun-filled windows and a lovely view. Easy keyless entry. This is a lovely old building on the common with probably 25+ units, had only 2-4 cars in the parking lot and, as a solo traveler, at first it felt odd to be in a mostly empty building. I was quickly reassured after making contact with the management who quickly responded to my message even when it was after their office hours. Hiking, good restaurants, lots of relaxation. Excellent Wi-Fi. I can see why it’s popular for skiers with Sunday River close by."

Escape the chaos of the city and retreat to the charming town of Bethel, Maine. Look no further than our beautifully furnished 1 bed/1 bath home, which offers both privacy and serenity as it is one half of a duplex. With its modern design and tranquil atmosphere, our unit is the perfect place to unwind after a hectic week at work or an action-packed day on the slopes. Just 8 minutes away from Sunday River, our unit provides easy access to adventure and relaxation.
The space
We have put a lot of love and effort in this space to make you feel connected to nature and have an amazing time for whatever the reason. You'll have access to a bedroom with a KING bed and comfy sheets along with a dedicated workspace which consists of a desk, lamp and easy access plugs for your electronic devices.
The main living space consists of a couch that can be converted into a QUEEN size bed at night with all the sheets hidden in the chaise area along with a fireplace and 65" Smart TV (which has access to Netflix and NO cable). This space also has a dining table to easily accomodate our 4 guests. **NEW** Blinds have been added to the lower living room windows for better privacy at night.
Moving on to the kitchen we've tried to design it to feel open while also containing all of the necessities for cooking a nice meal. As frequent travelers who love to cook the local cuisine when staying at Airbnb, we've tried to include just about everything you should need to make a nice meal. There are a few cookbook supplied on Maine and Foraging based cooking along with a fondue pot for you to enjoy with your friends and family.
The bathroom is one of my favorite parts! There is a double vanity with two large mirrors for you and someone else to get ready very comfortably. There is a separate door from the shower/toilet and the vanity area which means you can get ready while someone else uses the shower/toilet. The shower is 30x30 with a nice rainfall style shower head which makes showering even more enjoyable.
We've also provided some board games and cards to help you spend some quality time with your family and friends during your trip in addition to 2 yoga mats that can provide you an opportunity to soak up all the sunlight that pours into the room and take some time to relax.
Now some things we absolutely love (and think you will too) about this home's location:
- Approximately just one minute by car to Bethel Village means quick and easy access to all of the best restaurants, a small grocery store, and the farmers market on Saturdays from 9AM-1PM whenever you need to pick something up or grab a bite to eat. You can easily walk to all of these things as well in just 5-10 minutes.
- We are located DIRECTLY on the the Bethel SNOWMOBILE trail with AMPLE parking for your snowmobile trailer which means conveniently hoping on the trails for the day and then coming back to relax and enjoy the night.
- If you didn't think location could get any better, we are just 8 minutes to SUNDAY RIVER and 10 minutes to MOUNT ABRAM. Rumor has it you may even be able to flag down the local Mountain Explorer which is a free shuttle from Bethel Village to Sunday River to take you to the mountain and back (we haven't tried this ourselves, but if you're up for testing it you are more than welcome to!)
- Some nights if you go in the backyard during the winter you can see Mount Abram from it's lights which is a really exciting thing to see when you are located in the heart of the city.
- We are located directly off of Route 2 which means you'll be the first the get to Sunday River on a POW day since it's usually one of the first roads to get plowed. This also means that you can get to a lot of your desired destinations faster without having to maneuver some of the winding mountain roads to get to a highway. PLEASE NOTE: this also means there is a potential for traffic noise, although minimal, and you should be aware your not staying in some countryside ultra quiet place. :)
- We are also located directly across from Dollar General (one of the places open latest in town) means taking no less than 30 seconds to run out and grab something at the last minute. CVS is located directly next door as well which makes quick and easy access in about a minute without having to get in the car.
- We are also about 18 minutes to Grafton Notch State Park and 30 minutes to the White Mountain National forest if you are looking to visit those destinations.
Guest access
You'll have access to one half of a duplex. The duplex is L shaped so there is only one wall that is shared between the two houses and that is heavily insulated to help limit any noise disturbances. You have complete access to the "back" house which consists of an open living room/kitchen/dining room along with a bathroom and a bedroom.
Outside, we have a firepit that accommodates up to 8 guests, but please note it is first come first serve and we have two units on property which means it could be unavailable to use during your stay, or you may need to enjoy the fireplace with other guests.
Other things to note
Other things you may want to know are listed below:
- There is stairs up to the front door of the unit (approximately two steps) along with a step into the bathroom and small 4 step staircase into the bedroom.
- We are located directly off of Route 2. While this makes it incredibly convenient to get to all the major attractions nearby (i.e. being located off the first road to get cleared on POW days to Sunday River is an incredibly beneficial thing!), it also also means there is some potential for traffic noise. The house is located towards the back so the road noise during the day is daily muted and at night it's virtually unnoticeable (especially considering there is minimal traffic at night) but this is something we just want to mention.
-There is a train that passes through town that you may occasionally hear toot it's horn at night.
- We are located adjacent to a local gas station though there is a house separating us, but this is just something we'd like you to know prior to booking.
- In the winter we can not guarantee with 100% certainty that the driveway will be plowed first thing in the morning or after a storm. We will leave a snow shovel out for you to use in case you need to get out earlier than our plower can get in. If you know a major snowstorm is coming we'd also appreciate if you moved your car off to the side the night before so our plower can plow and also avoid plowing you in.
- There is no washer/dryer in the home, but the nearest laundromat is just a minute away which should make doing any wash relatively painless during your stay.
- "Quite and spacious " - "We booked this property twice this winter and it was a perfect spot for us. It is on a busy road, but convenient to downtown and the mountain. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed." - "Several opportunities for adventure, including hiking in Grafton Notch State Park and the Maine Mineral and Gem Museum, are nearby. Host reached out prior to and during our stay." - "Everything looks just like the pictures! It was easy access to get in and the space was cozy and open. The lighting was absolutely superb, there was everything we needed to make meals and easy to get to Sunday River. There’s a little cafe directly across the street and also a grab and go grocery store about 2 min down the road. Tyler and Chloe were great at communications quickly! Will definitely stay with them again if in the area!"

- "Our experience was amazing! The Swift Yurt and bathhouse was SUPER clean so was the grounds! Staff was responsive and timely with any/all that was needed! In fact, I have booked the Wild Yurt for Labor Day weekend! Looking forward to another fantastic stay!!!" - "Our experience at Western Maine Yurts was memorable and perfect. The Yurt and all facilities were very clean and had everything we needed for a great vacation. Everything from check-in to check-out was seamless. Tricia provided all the information we needed and was extremely responsive with any questions we had. We met the owner, Alex, before we checked out as he was replacing firewood. He seems to really care about the experience his guests have, which showed in the quality of the facility. If you are looking for a great getaway with your family, friends or even solo, check out this location. We plan to return many times in the future."

Forest. There are unlimited destinations to reach and discoveries to make all within an arms' reach.

The apartment sleeps 4 people and is furnished with a queen bed in the lower bedroom and two twin

This apartment was built with quality and is sparkling clean. Come see why it's a highly coveted rental!
- "This was a lovely place and my family really enjoyed our stay here. The manager was very responsive and nice. The only quibbles we had were very minor -- the ad said there was a Keurig, and there wasn't -- there was a French Press. There was an Instant Pot, which I would have used had I known! The living room needs another chair, as there's no place for a fourth person to sit, or a third unless you're close together on the sofa. These are minor things, however. We loved it."

Quaint 100+ year old cabin close to the heart of Bethel Center that has been in my family for 4 generations. This is a rustic, simple log cabin with heat and electricity, but off grid running water and an outhouse. You must be an outdoorsy, laid back type of person to be ok with our lovely cabin.
Cozy, artsy, rustic cabin, 3 mins to the Bethel town center and 14 min (8.4 miles) from Sunday River Ski Resort, 12 minutes (8.2 miles) from Mt. Abrams and half hour (20 miles) from Grafton Notch.
The space
This is one of the oldest, original log cabins in the area. It is incredibly unique, but is certainly not for everyone. It is a one room cabin with a separate outhouse. There is one king bed and a trundle twin.
Even though this space is cleaned regularly, you will still encounter the occasional bug or mouse. There is running water via a pump under the sink that is fed from a 7 gallon container, also under the sink, which will need to be changed when it runs out.
There is an outhouse with a typical outhouse toilet, a clawfoot tub (supplied with water that you bring and heated to the temp you desire inside the cabin, then brought out to the containers in the outhouse) where you can take 'camp' showers and a dry sink that has been the fitted with an instant hot water system to wash your face and brush your teeth (think 1800's with a modern flair).
There is also an outdoor shower supplied from a rain water catchment system, which means we are subject to mother nature on if there is water available for showering. Instructions on how to run all of these are in the cabin guidebook. Because these are all off grid systems they are quirky.
This amazing cabin has been in my family for 4 generations, so please be respectful of the space and treat it as you would a family treasure.
Because of the close proximity to the trees, please be respectful and only have small bonfires.
When you request to stay here, Please confirm that you understand that this is a cabin with minimal running water and an outhouse.
Woodstock, ME 04219
Guest access
You will have access to the entire cabin and outhouse. The property itself is tiny and it only about a 1/4 of an acre, so please be respectful of the property surrounding the cabin. The cabin is accessible via a passcode lock. There are also keys in a lockbox, in case there are issues with the lock. There will be a $250 fee for lost keys.
Other things to note

The building is just a bit over 1 mile from in town Bethel but is very quiet and peaceful. It is just a few minutes to Sunday River as well as Mt. Abram. This space is actually an old bar that was open back in the 80s. It is very close to our local museum, pubs and restaurants and just over a mile from the Bethel Inn golf course.
The space
It is located in the day cellar, which is cool in the summer and warm in the winter and not damp by any means. The temp. is turned down slightly late in the evening and back up early in the morning. If anyone needs it set up a little more, I will happily do that. It is listed as an apartment and to make it clear, the space "is" the entire apartment in the day cellar but "not" the entire house or home. Options are limited on how to describe the space. The kitchen, bathroom and living area are private with a half wall that separates the mud /laundry room from the living quarters. If there are any issues that may arise with heating, water, etc. the host will notify the guest or one of the occupants with the guest that the host may need to come down and address the situation at hand. Due to it being in the day cellar, you can hear the water pump and furnace but it is muffled and in a safe and separate area. The bathroom is private and only used by the Airbnb occupants. There is a gym/studio downstairs next to the Airbnb space but is separate and private. The walls are insulated between the gym and Airbnb space. The owners live upstairs and the gym has a light schedule for clients during the weekday that come in for personal training by owner but does not interfere in the Airbnb space. There is still a bit to be done on the apartment but continue to work on it steadily. It is a work in progress but is very comfortable and we'll do our best to make it a good stay for you!
Guest access
Private access is on the southwest side of the building downstairs. The parking is quite spacious and easy to navigate. The parking is only shared by the owners and their guests. When you drive into the driveway, you will drive past the building, once you get past the house, look to your left and you'll see two hedges next to the building, park perpendicular to the building and in front of said hedges where the entry is located right there between them. There is a motion light that comes on once you drive behind the building.
Other things to note
There's plenty of snow here in the winter which presents a great advantage for anyone that enjoys cross country skiing or snow shoeing. Snowmobile trails are close by as well.

Reconnect with nature at this roadside escape near Bethel, Maine/Sunday River Resort/White Mountains National Forest. Endless outdoor adventure awaits only minutes away. Clean and cozy with immediate access to US route 2. Freight train comes by 2-3x per week max, you might hear it blow it's whistle! Sound of the road is unavoidable, luckily traffic here is not consistent or intense. The queen bed is quite comfortable and the kitchen table converts to a small double bed as well.
The space
Clean, comfortable and equipped camper with more privacy than a campground. The screen windows and ceiling fan work great but if the heat is too much the air conditioning performs fantastically when the windows are all closed. Located in the side yard of an 1800s farmhouse that’s currently under renovation. There are board games, a radio with an aux input that plays inside and out, a smokeless fire pit and wooded areas to find dead and downed sticks and wood to burn. There is a private short hiking path on the property wit the entrance located behind the camper. The trail is a great place to find free firewood, but if you prefer, I can sell you some logs to burn as well. Less than 5 minutes to downtown Bethel, 10 minutes to Sunday River and 20 minutes to The White Mountain Nation Forest. I can offer directions to local swimming holes also. I am completely new to listing on this platform although I’m not new to airbnb. I’d like to provide guests a comfortable place to enjoy an experience in my local community. How can I make your time here memorable? Let me know if there is anything I can do or if you have any special requests. Thank you and enjoy Western Maine.

Lily dog is an 10 year old pitt mix. She's a sweet, friendly dog and a creature of comfort and habits to couches and soft chairs when not on her dog bed. Diligently I work to keep her white dog hair at bay, but can not promise you a stay without white hairs to be found.

Rooms are well-equipped with everything you could need for a comfy stay: dog towels, boot warmers, electric mattress pads, individual air conditioners for the warmer months, and lots of other "extras".

Your pets can stay safely contained in your room while you are out skiing or exploring, or they can hang out with me and the other critters in residence. A fully-fenced outdoor area gives pups a place to romp and make new friends.

**Welcome to Little Red — Your Cozy Maine Retreat**
Close to everything in Bethel, Maine, Little Red is a warm and welcoming 900-square-foot, 2 bedroom home with everything you need for a relaxing escape or an outdoor adventure.
Step through the charming original wooden door and into the heart of the home. To your left, glass French doors open into a cozy living room, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Settle in with a good book or a board game—both are tucked away in the TV cabinet. The queen pull-out sofa offers extra sleeping space, while two black swivel chairs provide the ideal reading nook.
A half wall separates the living room from the spacious dining area, maintaining an open-concept feel while defining each space. The dining room features a table that seats six comfortably, positioned beside a large window with peaceful views of the neighboring field. In one corner, you'll find a dedicated puzzle table with a charging station underneath, and in the other, a fully stocked coffee bar with both a Keurig and a traditional coffee pot.
The kitchen, open to the dining area, retains its vintage charm with original cabinets and warm wood countertops. A custom raw-edge wood island on wheels adds character and flexibility. You'll find all the essentials for cooking, including a microwave and crockpot. Sliding glass doors lead from the kitchen to a large back deck—complete with a gas grill and an outdoor dining area—where you can sip your morning coffee while looking out over the backyard and woods beyond.
Upstairs, you'll find two comfortable bedrooms and one bathroom. The primary bedroom has a queen bed, two small dressers used as nightstands, and a large dresser for storage. The second bedroom offers flexible sleeping arrangements with a full-size bed, a twin bed, and an additional twin tucked neatly into a doorless closet—plus a dresser and a TV. The bathroom is small but has everything you need, and there's also a private outdoor shower with hot water for rinsing off after a day in the sun.
The backyard extends into a peaceful wooded area with a walking path that leads to the Androscoggin River—a beautiful spot for kayaking, fishing, or watching the sunset. Please note: the river’s current can be swift and unpredictable. For your safety, swimming is not recommended, and extreme caution is advised near the water.
Whether you're planning a quiet weekend getaway or a base for exploring all that Maine has to offer, Little Red is ready to welcome you.

Other things to note
Our tap water is from a well and was tested. It is safe to drink, however, it is hard and we prefer local spring water for drinking and cooking. Feel free to bring bottled water or there are about 10-12 gallons of freshly filled water from the natural spring in the fridge/under the sink/and more near the laundry in the basement.
The stairs to the second floor where the only bathroom is located are steep. Please use caution.
