Come stay at our beautiful historic home right in downtown Shelburne!
My partner and I are going to see family for several weeks at the end of the year and we would love to share our beautiful home with you!
We are experienced Airbnbers that live in a large 3 bedroom apartment 2 doors from the Coffee and Wine shop, minutes walk from multiple attractions, restaurants, and shops. Our house is located just 7 miles from downtown Burlington.
Come enjoy!
Our 2000sq ft apartment has an office located separately on the first floor, a large kitchen with adjoining deck and Weber grill. On the 2nd floor there is a bedroom, a playroom/reading room, a bathroom and a living room. On the third floor, enjoy beautiful rooms from large master bedrooms with cathedral ceilings and plenty of space.
Feel free to enjoy our half-acre backyard with swings and toys for kids, outdoor seating around a large table for 8+, hanging outdoor lights, and plenty of parking.
My partner and I are minimalists by nature, so the apartment is clean and feels homey, without being too "personal". Because it is our personal space, it comes complete with all of the kitchen and other amenities one would need.
Our apartment is located right in downtown Shelburne just off of Route 7, minutes walking distance to multiple restaurants, shops and the coffee shop downtown (2 doors away!). Fiddlehead Brewery, Shelburne Vinyards, the Shelburne Museum and the amazing Shelburne Farms are less than 5 minutes driving away (all also walkable/bikeable!).
Our house is located near the train tracks, and trains run 3-4 times a day. The are always short and the feeling is more quaint than it is annoying (as are the Church Bells that ring on the hour, except at night).
Key in lockbox outside of the door! Self checkin
Set right in downtown historic Shelburne! 2 doors over from the Wine and Coffee shop, 5 minutes walking from the local grocery store, pharmacy, restaurants and shops!
Plenty of onsite parking (up to 3 vehicles for you stay). There are busses into Burlington and you can walk anywhere in downtown Shelburne (museum, restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store etc)

High Acres Farm offers one of the most magical and restorative environments in New England — an atmosphere of peace and possibility, where guests can enjoy each other’s company in the presence of nature.
The historic Main House at High Acres Farm was built in 1952 and completely restored and modernized in 2017. It is now a beautiful contemporary gathering place, featuring eight private bedroom suites, a state-of-the-art farmhouse kitchen, a yoga loft, play spaces for kids, and elegant common areas filled with old family heirlooms that have traveled through our family for generations.
Our 176-acre estate is perched along the eastern shores of Lake Champlain, looking out across the water at the Adirondack Mountains of New York. The landscape is a mix of gardens, fields, forests, streams, a pond, and a private beach. A network of informal walking trails provides easy access to different parts of the land.
The historic Main House has eight private bedrooms (two on the first floor, six on the second), seven of which have their own attached bathrooms (the eighth bedroom's bathroom is just outside its door). The beautiful farmhouse kitchen has a large island, an eight-burner stove, a double oven, and a pantry with a second fridge.
The downstairs floor plan is open and flowing, leading into an elegant living room with a fireplace and a wood stove, comfy sofas and chairs, and a majestic ten-foot farmhouse table, which can easily sit ten or more people for festive family meals.
Other common spaces in the house include a bright sun porch, which is wonderful in the summer when the wind blows off the lake, a library with a TV and full cable service, a formal entry hall with a Steinway grand piano and a spiral staircase, an informal mudroom, and two water closets, one of which is ADA compliant.
The house is outfitted with central air conditioning (if the breeze off the lake in the summer does not cool you down enough), and high-speed wireless internet throughout.
One of the bedrooms on the first floor is ADA compliant, in case there is someone in your group who needs a little more space —its doors are wider and its bathroom is equipped with grab bars.
The basement is mostly finished, and includes a laundry room with two washers and dryers, and a game-room with ping-pong, air hockey, pool table, a piano, a second TV, a rowing machine, and a treadmill.
The attic provides a flexible space for a wide variety of activities, ranging from yoga and movement, to kids' dance parties, to sleepovers. Rooms can be arranged with cribs prior to arrival if there are any babies in your party, and the house also has a high chair and a pack 'n play if needed.
Outdoor amenities include a barbecue porch and an outdoor sink, a large stone patio with ample seating for outdoor gatherings, an in-ground pool with a surrounding fence for child safety, a tennis court, and the lovingly named "moo-mobile", the golf cart painted like a Holstein cow, which guests are welcome to use.
Paths are mowed through the fields for walking, and several of the hills on the property are perfect for admiring the view of the Adirondack mountains and the lake.
The boathouse at the private beach contains two stand up paddle-boards, two kayaks, and beach chairs for relaxing, as well as a second grill for barbecues. The dock extends 90 feet out into the lake, and a private mooring is located in the sheltered bay if you have a boat for additional water activities. Corn hole is a common sight in the evenings while enjoying drinks on the terrace, and is provided along with a croquet set to enjoy.
The house comes with basic cooking supplies such as oil and vinegar, flour, sugar, etc... The kitchen can also be stocked beforehand with groceries if you would like to arrive without errands to run. The property manager is happy to also discuss additional services available in the community.
The property manager lives right next door, should any concerns arise during your stay.
Please feel free to get in touch with any other questions. We look forward to welcoming you to what we think is one of the most beautiful and special places in New England!
- "We had a group of 16 (my parents (70s), aunt (70), my siblings and spouses (40s), and seven kids (ages 4-14). The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of room to spread out, a basement and third floor for kids to be kids and making noise without everyone needing to hear it. The view from the back patio is one of the most beautiful we’d ever seen and it was ours all day every day! We had an amazing time going back and forth to the lake, walking around the beautiful property, and trying out kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and getting the kids on tubes and wake boards. Jeff, the manager, was the best—responsive, helpful, kind, and patient. I cannot recommend this place enough!"

- "This property was the perfect place for our family members from Pennsylvania, Maine and Arizona to gather to be near our parents who live at Wake Robin. Given the rainy weather during our stay, we spent a lot of time in the house and loved all the community areas for cards, working puzzles, family meals, etc. The multiple bedrooms, fabulous views, and bucolic setting were wonderful! We would definitely stay here again!" - "This home is nicely furnished, and has many nice features. The only downside is that it lacks central air. If you are there when the temperature is in the 90’s as we were, it’s not ideal."

Welcome to our small apartment located right in the center of historic downtown Shelburne with all of it's shops and restaurants (Village Wine and Coffee is 2 buildings away!)

We have lived in Burlington for over 10 years and love helping people explore our beautiful city. Come stay!
Our little one bedroom is cute, clean and has all of the amenities.
The living room and bedroom are cozy with hardwood floors throughout.
There is a bartop counter with 2 stools for meals at home and a TV setup with Netflix and Hulu for your use.
The bedroom has a queen bed, dresser, and a closet with enough room to hang all of your things.
The kitchen is great. All of the main appliances and it is stocked with essentials to cook all meals (pots, pans, coffee maker, utensils, cups, plates, toaster oven). The bathroom is small and simple, but clean and freshly updated!
NOTE: this house is close to the train which runs 3-4 times a day, usually never at night. It is loud, but the trains are short and most people find romantic and part of the historic downtown feel, along with the church bells that ring every hour except at night.
This house is also located near route 7 and harbor road. The traffic can be louder during the rush hour times, but this is a trade off to being right downtown with all of the walkable amenities! Fans can help, and we have a sound machine located in the room for your use. The sound during these times can be more similar to a city, than a rural town :)

We went for the eclipse and the location was perfect for being able to view it away from the crowds. The view of the lake and mountains was breathtaking. The town itself was lovely - we enjoyed the various places to eat which had plenty of options for the vegetarians and vegan among us. Anne was very proactive in her communication and was prompt and responsive with any question I had. I highly recommend this listing due to the location, the house and the great owner!"

- "Rose and Anatoly are interesting and friendly hosts at their well-maintained and comfortable B&B. Shelburne proved to be a great location for our 4-night stay: a quiet town offering both good access to Burlington and the amazing local Shelburne Museum, which is unlike anything we’ve encountered before in its diversity and quality of exhibits. Highly recommended!"

- "Booked this inn for two nights over Memorial Day weekend for two reasons: first, my husband was running in the Vermont City marathon, and second, the room featured a hot tub which my husband would use following the race. The hosts were wonderful and accommodating and they provided a delicious gourmet breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely stay again when we are back in the area. "

The rustic interior has a full kitchen, copper shower, and compost toilet. The loft bedroom is serene with 5 windows and blackout curtains (in case you want to sleep in!). Just 12 minutes to Burlington. 4 minutes to downtown Shelburne and Shelburne Museum.

This Tiny House was featured in the Living Small Documentary, the cover of Design New England magazine and more. Like most Tiny Homes, it is built like a cabin on wheels. The interior decor is farmhouse charm meets modern cottage.
27” screen and Apple TV is provided. Speakers are wired in and you can enjoy your own music via Apple Airplay.
There is a wooden ladder which leads to the sleeping loft with a queen size Talalay latex bed. There you'll find soft cotton sheets with a fluffy down comforter and ample pillows.
**If you are not comfortable climbing and descending a ladder and low ceiling height – this is NOT the place for you.**
The kitchen includes a 3-burner propane stovetop, kettle & pour-over coffee maker, a counter-height fridge with separate freezer, and every tool you'd need to cook a meal. A small bathroom is located in the back with a hot shower and a waterless compost toilet.
Please note: There is no microwave OR oven.
While we do not allow pets, please note that our dog occasionally joins us when we use the Tiny House. We do our best to clean and sanitize, but if you are very allergic to dogs, this place is not for you.

Off-street parking is provided for one car. A short walk (about 125 feet) across a grassy yard brings you to the front steps of the Tiny House. Recreational use of the yard is reserved for residents of the main house.
Tiny house is tucked into a wooded corner of a single family property. The house is private, but not secluded.
Other things to note
The simple, waterless compost toilet is easy to use. After using the bathroom, you'll put an ample scoop or two of cover material (sawdust) into the bucket. If you use enough cover material, we promise it won't smell!
Water: The tiny house is on well water which can sometimes have a sulfur smell. It is regularly tested and safe to drink.
Winter: Because the tiny house is built on a trailer, the floor can be much colder than what you may be used to in a traditional home. We recommend packing warm socks or slippers for use in the house.
