The Reuben Dimond house is located in Concord, New Hampshire; a central location with easy access to a major state highway. Day trippers will find this location convenient to jump onto the highway and head north or south, or to simply wander the back roads and enjoy the sights of New England.
Named after its original owner, this recently renovated farmhouse, circa 1767, sits at the end of a dead-end road surrounded by farm and conservation land. It provides privacy for a quiet rural get-a-way while located only minutes from Concord's Main Street and the State Capital. It provides the feel of the country while being only a few minutes from a busy and vibrant New England city. Downtown Concord offers excellent dinning, theater, cinema, shopping and more.

Step out the front door to find just one of the city's-maintained trails for hiking, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, or just communing with nature. Concord has over 85 miles of dedicated hiking and biking trail available to residents and visitors alike.

The groomed 1.4-acre farmhouse lot provides excellent space for all your outdoor recreational activities, such as, wiffleball, badminton, volleyball, croquet, horseshoes, etc. While sitting next to the fire pit, you may encounter deer, turkeys, and other native animals and birds.

Just up the road, at the top of the hill, is a working farm (Rossview Farm). If you catch them in season, you can pick your own strawberries, blueberries, or pumpkins. During late February and early March, you can sample maple syrup hot from the evaporator. In December it's cut your own Christmas tree time.

The kitchen is well equipped for enjoying your morning coffee or tea and cooking and baking on inside days. The historic summer kitchen now includes a reading nook and laundry closet. During the winter months a fire may be built in the wood stove to allow for a comfortable and relaxing read or to simply dry out your damp clothes from the outdoors activities.

The house was built prior to the revolutionary war. Its exterior walls are of plank construction (i.e 3-inch-thick pine planks 15 to 24 inches wide and 8 foot tall. This was possible when sawmills became available and log cabins were no longer the only possibility.

A couple of unique items must also be noted. The staircase leading to the second floor is described as a "fan staircase" because it is narrow at the bottom and fans out to be very wide at the top. It is doubtful you have seen a like staircase.
The other notable item is the small 8-inch by 8-inch window located at the top corner of the southwest wall of the main house. It is reported this window was an Indian look out. When there was notice of a raiding party traveling down the Merrimack River, the family would hide in the crawl space and watch until the danger was over. The window also provided light into the crawl space. Remember, there was no electricity in 1767.

What we love about this property is the quiet. Most nights you can sit outside and hear nothing but the wind through the trees and the crackling of the fire in the fire pit.

- "Accurate listing, nice cozy home. Enjoyed our stay." - "The good: - Host was very responsive, I had a couple questions, got quick answers. -location, close to downtown and everything you may need -cleanliness, the space was clean and spacious The Neutral (things that didn’t impact us but could be useful for other people deciding if this is the place for them) -beds, the king bed was the only comfy one, the queen and twin beds were not as comfy but they did the job. -cookware as with most rentals is sparse, knives were all serrated which made cooking tough but this is normal and we made do - the day before our trip I learned there is a noise sensitive upstairs owner this was not an issue for us but if I had kids or a larger group I would have wanted to know that upfront/ within the cancellation period as the building is older and so noise is noticeable. -only 4 big plates, 4 salad plates,4 bowls and 4 mugs, but sleeps 6 people, plenty of cups though. Things I would improve. -The living room the furniture was fine but there wasn’t enough of it. For us as a group of 3 it was a non issue but the rental sleeps 6 and there was only a small couch/loveseat that comfortably fits two but could technically fit three people and one chair. There was a desk with a chair as well but not enough seating for everyone if fully booked. Same for the dining table in the kitchen it seats 4 and we found the pub stools very uncomfortable with the sharp edges and lack of back support. We made it work but again a larger group would struggle."

Our home is in a quiet residential neighborhood in the desirable Concord West End within walking distance of downtown.

There are five stairs that lead to your private entrance.

Inside, our kitchen is equipped for cooking and baking with a fridge, microwave, toaster, electric stove/oven. For the coffee lover, the coffee bar is stocked with coffee, tea, sweetener and creamer. You have your choice of drip, k-cup, or French press. In the kitchen closet an electric kettle is also available. You will also find the first aid kit here. Enjoy your coffee on the porch or at the kitchen table.

Just off the kitchen is a full bathroom with a ceramic tile floor, a tub and shower. We offer shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, as well as make-up wipes and make-up towels. We have a few extra toiletries beneath the sink as well.

The living room is bright and cheerful with the natural sunlight from the large windows. You will find a comfortable love seat and a cozy blanket to snuggle up with in front of the TV. The RCA 40” FHD Roku Smart TV is set up to stream and has an antenna. Access to streaming services are available through your own subscription, so remember to bring your streaming account information and passwords and stream your favorite shows. We also have games, books and puzzles if bad weather keeps you inside. The living room is equipped with a window unit air conditioner.

You will find the ironing board, iron, and extra linens in the living room closet.

The first bedroom has a queen bed with usb charging headboard, full length mirror, dresser, alarm clock with usb charger, and dedicated work space.

Welcome weary travellers to the Fifer Davis House! You will step back into history when you walk through the doors of this welcoming suite and be engulfed by old world elegance and warmth.
Circa 1760, it one of the oldest homes in Concord. This mansion was once a single family home. The first owner Colonel Robert Davis, started out as a Fifer and participated in the Battle of Bennington during The Revolution. It sits on a half an acre has a spacious garden in the back. Enter through the main hallway and into your dining room graced with Honduras mahogany wainscoting and built in's and a carved fireplace. Here folks have breakfast, cozy up and watch tv or read a book and just chill. We have a fully equipped kitchen in the alcove of this room. In the morning folks can help themselves to a yummy continental breakfast which includes: Coffee, tea, eggs, toast, english muffins, jams and butter. Tables sits 10 people. Your bedroom consists of a bedroom with a comfy queen canopy sized bed, extra quilts, closet and bureau. Sheets are meticulously starched and fresh. Locks on bedroom doors. We have many wonderful books for cuddling up with also. We can accommodate another 2 people, as The Charter Room is just across the main hallway. This boosts a gorgeous Ethan Allen queen sized canopy bed and a fireplace with an electric insert. This extra room would share the bathroom in the main suite.

- "There was no exterior lighting at all and at night we had to use a flashlight on my phone to get from the car to the front door. The light at the entrance was out, it is old an appeared like it hadn't been touched in years. All the locks on doors were very difficult to operate. We actually left the front door unlocked on accident due to the difficulty of operating the lock. In the living room there was a door to the kitchen, a common area, that had glass windows top to bottom. There was no curtains, nothing. Anyone in the kitchen area can see right into the "private" living space. To access our "private" bathroom we had to go through a public hallway with unlockable doors on either side, not too private."

We are six miles to downtown Concord for dining, the Capitol Center for the Arts, Red River Theater, Franklin Pierce Law School and St. Paul's School. We are perfectly situated for year round outdoor activities. Snowshoeing, cross country skiing and hiking are all available out the back door. We are 30 minutes to Pat's Peak for downhill skiing, tubing and snowboarding. You can rent a canoe or kayak nearby. The White Mountains or Lakes Region are just an hour away.

Both the exterior house door to the second floor and your private room have keypad locks, so contactless check-in and check-out is easy. We don't end up meeting most guests, so introverts welcome, but we're only a message away if anything comes up.

Please keep in mind this listing is for street parking only. I'm going to put a lot of information here, but don't get intimidated because 95% of the time it isn't that complicated.

Most guests just park for free on Pearl Street, the street our house is on.

-Point your car the direction of traffic, westbound (Pearl is one-way only).
-Park on the left/south side of the road (traffic drives along the righthand side, and there are "no parking signs" on the right).
-In the neighborhood it is common practice to park for any sort of duration. However, please be aware signs are posted saying that from 7am to midnight, you're only supposed to park for 3 hours at a time. As long as you are otherwise parked legally, we have never heard of this being enforced.
-January 1 through March 15, parking is not allowed on Pearl so that snow plows can get through.

Another good free parking option is North State Street.

-Two houses west of us, Pearl Street comes to a T-intersection with North State.
-Along the near/east side of North State, parking is allowed and clearly marked (except right at intersections or blocking driveways, like any road).
-No limits to worry about on duration or season are posted for North State, so this is a safe option for the particularly risk-averse.

The overwhelming majority of guests park on Pearl or North State, but there are some backup options around as well with more free parking.

-Beacon Street starts two houses South down North State.
-Washington Street is parallel to Pearl, one block south.
-Franklin Street is parallel to Pearl, one block north.

Winter Storm Event Parking Bans

Maybe a dozen times a year, the City of Concord issues a Winter Storm Event Parking Ban when there will be a blizzard that plows will have a hard time keeping up with overnight.

-We will notify guests, and the city will publish alerts
-From midnight to 7am, no street parking is allowed anywhere in the city.
-The city opens up their garages and lots for free, a map is available in our guidebook.
-During these blizzards, we'll open up the right half of our driveway for guests. It can fit three cars, but blocking each other in, so we'll have to coordinate schedules if there are multiple people staying with cars.

My place offers a private bedroom and shared bathroom, 2 blocks from UNH Law School and White Park, 15 min. walk to Main St. and the State Capitol - a cozy, charming, old Victorian. The Concord Trailways bus station is a 20 min. walk with service from Boston, Logan Airport. The neighborhood is quiet and easy to get around. Great for couples and solo adventurers. (note the steep stairs, double bed, and NO air conditioning) Breakfast included! I am vaccinated. Check-in between 4 and 9 PM.

Pleasant, comfortable private bedroom with a double bed. Includes a built-in bureau, closet and laptop computer desk with a phone charger. A large bathroom is shared. Both bedroom and bath are on the second floor. There is a steeper than usual Victorian staircase. Guests may use the beautiful backyard and deck. You may use the washer and dryer but please ask for instructions. There is a large ceiling fan above the bed for comfort. There is no air conditioning.

You may watch TV in the living room or relax on the porch, or have a cup of tea in the kitchen. There is a back mudroom entrance, ideal for shoes and coats. The back door bell rings twice, the front door bell rings once. My place is your place.

I was born in this house to my artist mother 38 years ago. It is so treasured that I cannot bear to part with it. She painted the inside and handmade all the tile work. My career takes me far and wide so you will have the whole place to yourself. I keep my bedroom for the week or two out of the year that I'm home and rent the rest of the place. 5 minute walk from late night pizza, bars, restaurants, libraries, law school, corner store. This South Concord studio is compact (~350 square feet) but has all you need to have a comfortable stay.

Enjoy cooking in the full size well stocked kitchen.

Parking is free, and just steps away from a private entrance accessed from a huge deck where you can enjoy the outdoors when the NH weather allows.

Just minutes off the highway, and 1 mile from downtown. Concord is a great central location where you can access the mountains, seashore or Boston all within about an hour.

The studio includes a bedroom area with a queen size bed. Simply close the full length privacy curtain if you wish to make the bedroom space more private and cozy.
The mattress is an organic Avocado mattress that is medium/firm. For those that want a softer mattress there is an optional foam mattress topper available by request along with additional pillows and blankets so you can be as comfortable as possible.

Enjoy a full size kitchen stocked with basic amenities and kitchen equipment and tools to make your stay feel like home away from home.

There is a private entrance and a coded door lock so guests can access the studio with ease.

The cottage is a 500 square foot house located in New Hampshire’s capital and has something to offer everyone. It is private and peaceful, and perfect for short or extended stays. It sits on the edge of our property and is granted privacy by a large garden and trees.

The cottage includes a kitchen with everything you need for your stay, including a coffee maker, microwave, gas range, and cooking utensils. The living room sits between the kitchen and bedroom and features enough seating for three people as well as a pull out twin sofa bed for a child. Many adults will find this pull out to be too small. The bedroom has a queen bed and Roku TV to stream all of your favorites using the cottage WiFi.

If you’ve spent the day viewing the leaves or at one of the nearby ski areas, a propane fireplace awaits, and air conditioning for when you’ve spent a summer day at one of the lakes or beaches.

Our home is your home! What Airbnb’s were meant to be. This is our personal home that we invite guests to use while we are traveling. It is a cozy and functional 800 sq. ft. apartment. There is a fenced side yard with a fire pit, with space for kids and a pet to run around. Enjoy the spacious deck while grilling or enjoying a quiet evening. We are in a classic New England neighborhood where locals walk their dog and ride their bikes. We are in south Concord with easy access to I-93 and I-89.

The main bedroom has a queen bed with a Sleepnumber mattress that has adjustable firmness levels to match your personal comfort needs. The main bedroom has one dresser with a mirror and a walk in closet. The second bedroom has a double bed, closet and shelved cabinet. The main living area combines the leather sofa with power reclining ends and eat-in kitchen. The wall mounted TV has an Amazon Firestick that can download any streaming apps you have subscriptions to. If the weather is nice the outside deck is a wonderful place to hang out and BBQ. You can also head into the fenced in yard to play with your dog or start a fire in the fire pit.

The entire apartment, deck, and yard is yours to use. The basement is accessible only to access the washer and dryer. The entrance door has a programmable door lock that we will change the code after each guest checks out.

This early 1900's English Cottage is close to downtown (1 mile) and the Concord Hospital (5 minute walk) in a beautiful scenic neighborhood with walking trails and lots of charm. This 2 bedroom/ 1 bath is centrally located in the heart of New Hampshire with Pats Peak ski resort 20 minutes away, and an hour drive from the NH Sea Coast, Boston, and the White Mountains.

The space
A first floor apartment in a three unit building, located up a few concrete steps of stairs. This building is centrally located and we can park 2 guest vehicles in the driveway.

Guest access
The apartment is a private space for our guests, and has direct access to the basement which is accessible from the exterior for our other residents. The basement has free laundry and a pool table/bar space. The other residents mainly use the space for laundry on the weekends.

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place.

The space
The Charles House is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood in Penacook, a village within Concord. The house is also located on the Contoocook River with outside seating and propane fire pit. From the side entry, you will be greeted by a covered farmer's porch with seating for 6. The home offers a spacious & newly updated kitchen with stainless appliances and coffee station ready for your morning brew. Updated & bright first floor bathroom with tub/shower. Dining room with seating for 8, den with daybed and TV, and living room with TV (cable included). Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms each with a TV. Yard is flat, and ready for your enjoyment.

Guest access
You may enjoy the Charles House grounds and entire home. There is also a washer/dryer in the basement should you need to wash a load of clothes during your stay.

Other things to note
We have fenced the back property line so there is a barrier between the house & the Contoocook River's edge. We do not have a dock or stairs down to the river. There are multiple ways to access the river using one of two neighboring boat docks, or the canoe/kayak rental shop nearby. You can also walk down the street and there is a picnic area with non-obstructed views of the river. You can also fish off the bridge in walking distance from the house. Sorry no pets.

This is a wonderful, clean, safe home for those in need of a temporary/extended stay while searching for your perfect home to buy in the area or utilizing the Concord hospitals.
