This sweet Lake Champlain cottage is a wonderful retreat for a romantic getaway or small family vacation! Nestled in the trees, this craftsman built cottage is a perfect getaway spot. Tucked in the corner of a large family estate, this cozy cottage's private yard meets over 200 feet of direct frontage on the western shore of Lake Champlain.

While small in size, you'll be impressed by the smart design of this cottage. The vaulted timber ceiling in the master bedroom loft is lovely. The wraparound wall of windows in the 3 season room gives the expanded open living and dining area a sunny, spacious feel. .The kitchen doesn't cut any corners: you'll find a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, fridge with freezer, and all the pots and pans you need to prepare meals. Kitchen and living area are one cozy room. Downstairs, the guest room/den has 2 twin beds.

Private year-round cottage on Lake Champlain (Mallets Bay), a 10:00 drive to downtown Burlington and area colleges. You will be treated to glorious panoramic lake views, with an open-floor plan, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor grill - Cabana bar and beach fire pit. The world-class Colchester Causeway bike path is just minutes outside our door. Sleeps 4-6 with a queen-size bed in the upstairs open-loft, a full-size bed in the downstairs bedroom, and a full-size sleeper sofa in the living room. Relaxation is pretty much guaranteed. Great fishing just steps out our door. Enjoy all four seasons that Vermont has to offer! We are pet friendly (one dog only, no cats). The cottage is located in a quiet community that we treasure. Because of this, we limit the number of guest that stay, and require that all of the Mills Point Association Rules are followed, including leashed dogs, parking regulations and no loud parties.

Other things to note; We now have a new heating system.
We have a keyless touchscreen deadbolt on the front door, so you won't have to worry about carrying a key. This gives you the option of arriving late at night or at another time where we can't meet you to let you in. The code to get in is reset after each guest, and I will give your keypad number before you arrive.
This is a quiet neighborhood.
There is a family of bunnies that live in the neighborhood you will likely see them hopping around at times.
No unauthorized guests overnight!

Private beach, excellent location for bird watching, fishing, kayaking, sailing, standup paddle boarding and swimming. You can rent a sailboat from the Charlotte Sailing Center across the bay or you can moor your shallow-draft motor boat or sailboat in a protected spot steps from the house (trailered boats can be launched at the nearby Converse Bay Fishing Access).

This house is the perfect getaway for one person or a couple. The kitchen is small but functional. You can sit inside in the living area or on the small porch reading and/or enjoying the water, look for fossils on the rocky beach, or walk or bike on the private dirt roads. 20 minutes from the Shelburne Museum, 30 minutes from Burlington, easy access to the Green Mountains or the Adirondacks via the ferry. A favorite activity of ours is to park at the ferry dock, walk on to the ferry, ride to Essex while enjoying the breeze on the lake and the views of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks, get dinner and/or ice cream, and ride home looking at Mt. Mansfield, Camels Hump, and the rest of the Green Mountains.

Rockhaven Tennis Cottage is a unique, charming and rustic self contained cottage on the shores of Lake Champlain surrounded by open farm fields.

The owners Tom and Catherine live on site in the main house with their two springer spaniels. There is a further one bedroom cottage (Island View) which is also available to rent. The cottage has shared use of the beautiful gardens and access to the dock and lake.

This is a non smoking property and is unsuitable for children and those with limited mobility as the stairs to the dock are steep. The property has wi fi.

The Tennis Cottage has one double bedroom and a shower room. Its kitchen is fully equipped. Outside, the deck area has seating for two, wonderful lake views and a BBQ.

The town of South Hero with its restaurants is 3 miles away and Burlington a 25 minute drive.

One of two cottages on the tip of Kibbe Point, South Hero that is surrounded by the waters of Lake Champlain with an easterly view. This is the ultimate escape for creative types or anybody that just wants to get away from it all. The Best and Closest View of Lake Champlain hands down, no question. It doesn't matter if you are cooking breakfast inside or grilling on the deck during happy hour, you will feel like you're on the flybridge of a boat because all you see is water. Seagulls glide by at eye level as you secretly watch all the action on the broad lake. Weather fronts are easily spotted coming through the Adirondack Mountains across the lake 11 miles away. Boaters and fisherman can check the lake while your still in bed, others can enjoy the beach, ending with sunsets on the deck and a fire in the sand (Lake water is clean with sandy bottom, no weeds). This is not a big cottage but the view is breathtaking. A king bed in one room and built-in bunk bed in the other. Private stairs go down to the water. 1/3 mile to bike path/causeway, 1 mile to park, 2 miles to river boat launch and 3 miles to Bay launch, 7 miles to downtown Burlington. Grocery, pizza, ice cream, 4 miles. Check your stress at the door and enjoy a secluded piece of paradise with a 270 degree view of the Lake and sunsets behind the Adirondack Mountains. Very clean, just remodeled with VT pine and huge sheets of glass so your view is Crystal Clear no matter what the weather. The Tree Tops Cottages is a small family friendly resort located on the Southern end of South Hero on a private 7+ acre property with over 920 feet of direct frontage on Lake Champlain. Originally built in the 1920's, there are only 4 privately sited cottages on the whole 7.5 acre property. Multiple generational families have been coming to Tree Tops Cottages for decades. It may be possible to rent 2, 3 or 4 cottages at the same time for a family reunion. Each unique cottage is restored in the rustic Vermont Camp style, and offers great lake views. This is not a luxury resort, rather a down home, friendly, relaxing place only 20 minutes to Burlington.
The gradual shale beach is weed free and is rare (for Lake Champlain) due to the fact that it is south facing, which affords all day sunshine and protection from cool northerly breezes. The 'Outer Malletts Bay' lake location offers warmer and calmer water than the 'Broad Lake'.
We will allow 1 pet per cottage with a surcharge.

The water level of the lake can be high in the spring and summertime, if this occurs there may be little to no beach on the shoreline. Water/beach shoes are strongly recommended.

- "We had such a great time staying in Kylie and Cody’s home on Mallets. What a fantastic location. We were happy to find a grocery store, pharmacy, and hardware store near by for anything we needed. There were plenty of sheets and towels. Kylie and Cody were excellent hosts and were really accommodating to my group. The hot tub was everyone’s favorite. Swimming was my favorite even though there were lots of clams in the water and you have to walk out to the boat moorings because it’s shallow. But the good thing about the shallow part of the lake is that it’s warm! Sunsets and stars were beautiful. The house is right off the road so there was a little noise from the cars going by but luckily it’s set down below the road which helped a little. I do wish the ad had disclosed that the reason shoes were recommended on the beach is because there is glass in the sand (not in the water, on the sand). But overall my friends, their two young kids, and me all agreed that we’d definitely stay there again. Great location, great amenities, and great hosts!!!! Thanks Kylie and Cody!"

- "We loved our stay here...the house is super clean, newly renovated and beautifully decorated. Of course, the view is the STAR! We visit Burlington often so it was perfect since the house was so close (15-minute drive) yet felt more secluded. Neil was very responsive and accommodating. Bonus: being able to rent his pontoon boat right from the backyard to enjoy an afternoon on the lake!" - "The view does not disappoint! It is just as amazing as it looks in the video. We didn't realize before we went that when you are there you have access to tons of paddleboards and kayaks as well as a rowboat. It is an easy drive to Burlington and there is a great general store right down the street where you can find anything you forgot. It's on a busy street but it is very quiet inside. The house is well stocked with cookware but note that you want to bring any extra garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels etc (as a family of 4 for a week we needed extra). Same with foil or anything extra that you might need to cook. Also, with two small kids we drink a ton of coffee and the coffee pot is small one. Lots of storage in baskets and drawers but no hanging closet storage. I would book again and have passed along the info on this rental to others since coming home!"

The property is right off Route 2 and lakefront. Although there are other cottages on the property, this space is strictly yours. This is a simple and rustic cottage with a phenomenal view. Nothing fancy but recent upgrades have made this cottage as comfortable as ever.

We provide all the basics for cooking, grilling, and summer living. Bedroom is air-conditioned, with a queen bed and a comfortable mattress.
Guest access
From our cottage it's a 5-7 minute walk to the general store as well as the new Rest Stop with a bar and live music (some nights). There are restaurants, markets, bank, and post office within a five minute drive. We have a large lawn that is perfect for lawn fun like badminton, croquet, or frisbee. Parking is plentiful and easy.
Other things to note
The beach is not ideal for swimming, (unless you don’t mind sludge and seaweed) but is great for fishing, relaxing, and water activities. There is great sandy swimming beach just 10 minutes away, Sandbar State park or Whites Beach.

Boats are welcome and each cabin is allowed one slip, exceptions possible. Our dock is to be put out around June 1. This is a great spot for fishing either off our dock or from the beach. If the lake level is too low (end of summer) Apple Island Marina and Launch is a quick 5 minute drive.

Unfortunately, bugs are a way of life here on the lake but we respond appropriately with pest control sweeps and diligent cleaning. We recommend that our guests turn off outdoor lighting and close screens/ doors when possible. This will minimize bug attraction!

Additional rules
It is a shared property with two other cabins on site, spaced well apart, but please be mindful of noise. Quiet hours 10pm-8am.

This guest house has been built and designed by my husband and I. It sits behind our house with private walking/biking trails right out your door. The design is modern with natural warm colors and tucked away in the trees. The loudest noise you will hear are the owls hooting and a faint distant train whistle two times a day. This space is quiet, tranquil and modern. All the walls are finished with Lusterstone which creates warmth and reflects all the natural light. There are 14 windows in this guest house...I am obsessed with natural light however there are blinds for those that prefer darkness. There is a cathedral ceiling in the entryway and kitchen with 3 windows looking out into the woods/gardens. The living room has a French door that leads out to your private patio ( coming in the spring) and path to the private trails. We will also have a sitting area in the woods with a hammock and fire pit in the spring.

You're tucked away on a quiet residential street near a park & playground but are just a 10-minute walk to downtown and a 5-minute walk to the lakefront and a gorgeous shoreline bike path.

The space
Our small (approximately 700 sq ft) cottage has everything you need to be comfortable. The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed and includes a closet, a desk and chair, and an additional closet with a washer/dryer. Above the main bedroom is a sleeping loft accessible by ladder. This charming loft has a cozy queen-sized bed. Please note: this is an Ikea daybed so it's made up of side by side twin mattresses; they're very comfortable!. The full bathroom has a tub and ample storage. The mudroom has room for everything you need to enjoy Vermont's four awesome seasons. The main living area has a dining area and a cozy seating area where you can check out a gorgeous lake view or watch TV. The small kitchen is fully equipped for home chefs. Your own patio area has outdoor seating and amazing sunsets.

Welcome to Overlake on Malletts Bay! The Cottage is an adorable, rustic, clean and quaint, one bedroom, one bath lodging with beach access. It sits back from the road with a private parking area and large outdoor space for your enjoyment. Featuring incredible views of Lake Champlain from dawn to dusk, the Cottage makes a great base to explore Burlington and it's surrounding areas.

The space
The Cottage has been recently updated, but maintains it's historic/rustic charm.
This accommodation is a fully furnished, one bedroom / one bathroom cottage. WIFI is available.
Enter through the galley kitchen with electric stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, Keurig (with an initial supply of pods) and dishes. Passing into the dining/living area there is a table with seating for four, a double size futon with bedding available, two side chairs and a 32" TV. This room also features double doors with westerly lake views and access to a large deck. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom (queen bed), linens & towels are provided.

A mini-split, for heat or AC is mounted in the living room. (A great amenity, but not equivalent to central heat/AC). Ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom generate a breeze for the hot summer nights.

Ample outdoor space provides areas to enjoy al-fresco dining at the picnic table, barbecuing on the gas grill or relaxing and enjoying the views from the Adirondack chairs at the fire pit.

The space
This is a 1938 summer 'shack', that is well equipped with basic equipment. It is a rustic home where you get to enjoy nature and relax comfortably but modestly. There are two closed bedrooms and an open mezzanine bedroom at the top of the stairs.
Main source of heat is supplied by a wood burning stove. Bedrooms and bathroom are equipped with electric heat. The house is not insulated.
Running water comes from the lake and cannot be used for drinking. There is a 5 gallon water dispenser next to fridge for potable water. We supply one full container.

Guest access
Guests have full enjoyment of the cottage and its private yard and parking, as well as private waterfront/beach and dock (available as soon as water level are acceptable, usually mid May). BBQ outside and a woodburning stove inside. Spacious glassed/screened veranda facing the lakeside of the cottage. Guests may use the rowboat, and two kayaks on site.

Other things to note
Running water is lake supplied for shower, sinks, toilet, but drinking water is to be supplied by the guests. One large container of drinking water is available upon arrival.

Bedding and other basic linens, dish soap, toilet paper, etc are supplied by the owner/host. The kitchen has basic supplies such as spices, salt and pepper, sugar. Please bring your own preferences for cooking during your stay.
