My only teeny tiny word to the wise is that there wasn't conditioner (I really liked the other soap/bath products though), so be sure to bring that if it's in your routine - I just picked some up at a nearby cvs. Also the water pressure in the shower was a bit low. The space

River House was built in the summer of 2017 with its historic mill neighborhood in mind. The original house dates back to the 1890s and you'll see many historic details in the house such as photos, maps and books. There are funky, arty touches around the house including large paintings and some smaller works by local artists. The house is stocked with all the comforts of home and we hope your stay here will be restful and that you will get a chance to explore the neighborhood. This is a unique historic neighborhood and the river twists through it. Down the street is the Chace Mill which has a vegan cafe and yoga studio. Across the river is the Champlain Mill which has an outdoor restaurant in the summer and further down the river by the dam is the Woolen Mills. And of course, the Winooski Circle has many restaurants to try and is only a 10 minute walk away.

We are centrally located and a quick drive/walk to Winooski, the UVM Medical Center, UVM, the Burlington International Airport and downtown Burlington. There are nearby walking trails on the Winooski River Walk, Casavant Natural Area and Centennial Woods. There is tons to do here, come visit!

The guest house is entirely private and is attached to our single family home. We share a backyard and we might cross paths in the foyer outside your front entrance.

We have two outdoor security cameras for our guests safety and ours. They are clearly visible near the entrance to River House and above the shared driveway. There are no cameras inside!

Please be aware that there is some traffic and airplane noise, as well as the very loud F-35 jets. We live in a busy part of town but River House is a little oasis.

Both bedrooms have new 4K TV’s and new air conditioning units with remote controls to custom set for individual bedroom temperature. The living room has a new air conditioning unit with remote control to cool the living room and kitchen.

The living room has a large 82" TV, all TV's have HD channels provided from Burlington Telecom, there are also two queen size hide-a-beds that are premade for easy use, all you need to do is open them and it they are ready to go with sheets, blanket and comforters. They are also four recliners in the living room and new color wireless printer.

The kitchen has new appliances, a new refrigerator, new electric stove, new dishwasher, Keurig hot and cold coffee machine, toaster, toaster oven, microwave and a crock pot. The hall has a new combination washer and dryer.

The back yard has a new gas grill, two love seats and four rocking chairs with seat and back cushions and three sets of patio table and chairs. Inside the shed are 9 bicycles with helmets - 9 adult size mountain bikes.

Kerry's Kwik Stop Deli and Grill - the biggest local downtown convenience store one block down and at the end of Adams Street, with some of the best custom-made sandwiches in the area throughout the day, a great selection of early morning coffee and custom-made all-day breakfast sandwiches. There is also a local city park, Smalley Park down at the end of the street with a baseball field and a basketball court.

- "With a group of 8 booking a place to see a concert, we were late in the process of finding a place to stay that could accommodate 4 adult couples. We lucked out immensely staying in this property. We were skeptical about how we would fare in a very tight space, but all 8 of us were able to sleep comfortably. The day of the concert turned out rainy, so we had to improvise our plans to hang out in the living room of the house. With an abundance of games and complementary snacks, passing the time was a breeze in a cozy but comfortable space. We also utilized the outdoor space which had plenty of room for us all to sit, chat, and play some cards in a private setting. The property is very close to the neighboring building so I can see why the host made reference to following the noise rule of 10 pm (we simply moved inside at that point). We made several walks into downtown Burlington, which around half a mile. Very convenient location, parking was also not an issue for 4 cars in the driving and there seemed to be more for street parking readily available if needed. The easy walk made getting home from the craziness of the waterfront concert a breeze. The host also provided tons of complimentary candy, snacks, water, a bottle of wine, and any toiletries you may have forgotten to pack. There are plenty of towels as well as extra blankets and sheets to use with the pullout couches. The pullouts do require some moving of the furniture to fit everything, but nothing to bad"

Cozy barn apartment in the lovely village of Richmond, Vermont. Walk to brewery, bakery, restaurants, market, playground and trails. Close to Burlington, and Ski Resorts. The apartment is located in a barn that is attached to our home. The buildings are approximately 125 years old and are brimming with rustic charm & character. That being said we have recently begun the daunting task of renovating the exterior of the property. As a result there are currently missing shutters and facia boards as well as peeling paint but by next summer we hope to have everything complete. So for now please excuse our appearance.

The apartment is on the second floor of our barn which has a private entrance with a key code door lock. There are many unique features that were original to the architecture such as exposed barn beams. The bedroom has a queen sized bed which is very comfy according to our guests. You'll find plenty of pillows and blankets for the cool Vermont summer mornings or the blustery winter nights. In the kitchen you'll find all of the essentials for preparing your own meals, which is easy to do since the market is only a short walk away. Maybe you'll decided to bring back breakfast treats from the bakery around the corner and enjoy a cup of fresh ground local organic coffee which is provided to start your stay off right. You'll find organic 1/2+1/2 in the fridge and local maple syrup and honey in the cabinet. In the living room there is a pellet stove that keeps the space very toasty in the winter and provides a cozy romantic ambience. A new sofa with a queen sized memory foam mattress. There is also a smart HDTV with Netflix, Hulu, and HBO GO. There is no cable but once you're here if you find a channel on the TV that you would like to access just let us know and we'll gladly download it for you. The bathroom is bright and cheery and is stocked with lots of towels, a first aid kit and a blow dryer.

Because we live on site we are usually available in a moments notice to help guests navigate their stay. We enjoy greeting our guests and meeting new people but will happily give you lots of space and privacy. We also love the outdoors and can easily point you in the right direction when it comes to skiing, hiking, biking or swimming. We are about a mile from the highway so in a matter of minutes you can be in Burlington but we have plenty of live music and great beer or food here in our village.

Located 1 mile from interstate 89 and 20 minutes south of Burlington it is also conveniently located 15-45 minutes from several ski resorts including Stowe, Smuggler’s Notch, Mad River & Sugar Bush. The closest being Cochran’s and Bolton Valley, both family favorites. Plowed, paved sidewalks will lead you from our village location to a ski shop, a bike shop, 2 restaurants, a brewery (w/great food), a bakery & a fully stocked, local grocery all located less than a mile walk from apartment.

Our family lives on site and are easily reached with any questions.

During your stay you'll be able to park in our driveway and have complete and private access to the entire apartment. There are no other visitor sharing accommodations at the time of your reservation.

May-until the snow flies guests are able to park on the street in front of our house or in the driveway but once there is snow there is a parking ban and street parking is prohibited. The town does plow the sidewalks in the winter so you can still walk to the local business.

Come hang out in the woods! Situated on 6 acres but only 4min off the highway we are in a great spot to access all VT has to offer. Access climbing, skiing, swimming holes, and Burlington all within 20 minutes. Stowe is a 35 minute drive.

Grab a hammock and hike to the top of the yard to relax in the trees. Have coffee on the deck and listen to the birds. In the winter the wood stove keeps things super cozy (we have hooks nearby to dry out wet ski gear). Come with your kids and they can sled the hill right outside the back door.

We have a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom with a washer and dryer, and the apartment is very bright and cheery. The bedroom has blackout curtains if you had too good of a time at one of the nearby award winning breweries. The big windows face a wildflower patch. As of mid July 2025 there will be a fire pit so bring your marshmallows!

There are many stores within walking distance such as Trader Joe's, Hannafords, Healthy Living, the University Mall, Blue Mall, Barnes & Noble ... There is a bus stop within 100 yards of the front door. Close to airport. Off street parking. Backyard with patio set & grill. (No cigarette smoking in unit, permitted in backyard). Community is peaceful and quite.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. My house is located just a 10 minute drive from downtown Burlington. Enjoy the lake, the bike path and some great restaurants just moments from the house. The bedroom has a bed and some furniture. There is also a big space to hangout in downstairs. Make my place your next vacation or short term stay in Vermont. You will be sharing the house with myself and maybe one other roommate.
