This home includes up to 10 parking spaces great for family and friends. The newly renovated kitchen includes top of the line Whirlpool appliances and Nespresso coffee machine. The open island has 4 spinning stools while the dining set seats 6. Please note a booster seat is available upon request. The bedrooms have been newly renovated and finished with black out blinds. The bathroom also contains a washer and dryer for your convenience. Laundry soap is provided.
The space
This bungalow is located on 50 acres of woodland and meadows. It is only a 9 minute drive from Highway 416 and the town of Kemptville, Ontario, which has shopping, restaurants and sports facilities. Access from Ottawa takes about 30 minutes.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire bungalow and the trails.

Please stay on the trails marked with orange ribbon so you don’t get lost. Do not use the trails after dark as there are tripping hazards. We do our best to keep the trails clear of debris but they are used at your own risk. Thank you!
Other things to note
We’d like to let you know that the property is located near a train route, and you may occasionally hear a train whistle during your stay. Most guests find it adds a bit of charm to the experience, but please let us know if you have any concerns. Disposable earplugs are supplied if you would like to use them. They are located in the bathroom cabinet. We’re here to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Also, we have two friendly cats on the property. They mainly keep to themselves, but you might see them around during your stay. They’re very gentle, but if you’re not a fan of cats or have any allergies, please let us know so we can make sure you’re as comfortable as possible. Otherwise, they’re pretty independent and will leave you in peace.

We’d also like to let you know that our well water is completely safe to drink. However, if you prefer, we provide some bottled water for your convenience. Please feel free to choose whichever option best suits your preference.

The space
ABOUT THE BUNKIE
1. OFF GRID: The cabin is off the grid (spotty reception, no power, no wifi, no running water), we provide solar lights and battery-powered lanterns to keep the cabin cozy and keep the light pollution in the stargazing field at a minimum. Bringing a headlamp for outside is a good idea.

2. TOILET: Guests have access to a composting toilet / outhouse with hand sanitizer. There is no shower.

3. FOOD: The kitchenette includes a cooler, plates, cups, cutlery, and a place to rinse your dishes. Fresh drinking water is also provided.
There is a small portable propane camping stove and a make-shift pot and pan for outdoor use however, this is only for light-cooking. It is recommended that you explore the nearby towns for food options.
There is a lovely fire pit area outside for roasting marshmallows as well as a picnic table and deck for chillin'. About 10 logs are provided for a fire per night. More wood can be purchased from the near by Rona.

4. OUTDOORS: Your bunkie is located in natural wildlife habitat. Bugs and critters make up our natural ecosystem which come with the territory. Our site is not ideal for insect-phobic guests. We do everything possible to keep them outside by thoroughly cleaning the space between guests, but some inevitably still wander in.

5. COMFORTS: We’ve provided a fan incase it gets too hot and blankets incase it gets too cold. You can expect to be a little chilly during the shoulder-season-overnights. Treat it like winter camping so you know you’re definitely coming prepared. There is a cute forested area with a hammock and a fire pit in the open field.

6. ***FALL GUESTS***: The nearby Cannamore Orchard is an amazing attraction to take advantage of at this time. Their Acres of Terror is off-the-chain... so scary and fun! ... that said, the bunkie is very close to the wagon trail and during September and October you WILL hear horrific screams until the late hours of the night! How is that for some Adventure!

Our cozy bungalow is easily accessible from the city. You will immerse yourself in a natural setting with woods, ponds and trails.

The bedroom has a double bed, plus a Roku TV and dresser. The couch pulls out to a queen sized bed. There is another TV in the living room area. You can access your own accounts for Netflix, Prime or whatever subscriptions you have as well as regular TV channels.

The bathroom also contains a washer and dryer for your convenience. Laundry soap is provided.

The space
This bungalow is located on 50 acres of woodland and meadows. It is only a 9 minute drive from Highway 416 and the town of Kemptville, Ontario, which has shopping, restaurants and sports facilities. Access from Ottawa takes about 30 minutes.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire bungalow and the trails.

Please stay on the trails marked with orange ribbon so you don’t get lost. Do not use the trails after dark as there are tripping hazards. We do our best to keep the trails clear of debris but they are used at your own risk. Thank you!

Other things to note
We’d like to let you know that the property is located near a train route, and you may occasionally hear a train whistle during your stay. Most guests find it adds a bit of charm to the experience, but please let us know if you have any concerns. Disposable earplugs are supplied if you would like to use them. They are located in the bathroom cabinet. We’re here to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Also, we have two friendly cats on the property. They mainly keep to themselves, but you might see them around during your stay. They’re very gentle, but if you’re not a fan of cats or have any allergies, please let us know so we can make sure you’re as comfortable as possible. Otherwise, they’re pretty independent and will leave you in peace.

We’d also like to let you know that our well water is completely safe to drink. However, if you prefer, we provide some bottled water for your convenience. Please feel free to choose whichever option best suits your preference.

Welcome to The Lofty Nest! Located 30 minutes south of Ottawa (Canada's Capital City) in the intimate village of Winchester. This 2-bed Century home was gutted and lovingly restored, using reclaimed materials, sweat and love. The space
Only 425 square feet per floor, the Lofty Nest is one of the area's original, tiny houses. The main floor has an open concept that includes a living room, dining room and kitchen area. Upstairs both beds are located in an open loft with a shared bathroom. (Note that there are no doors in bedroom areas, as it is an open loft). Most appliances, fixtures and furniture are new.

The entire house is available to guests, except for the basement area, which is used for storage. The Laundromat is located six blocks away and is available at an added cost.

Other things to note
The door has a smart lock for private entrance. The house has security cameras that monitor the exterior of the home. Late checkout fee of full nightly fee applies for checkouts after 11:00am.
