About this space
A charming board and batten home centrally located in downtown heritage Perth. Built in 1834 but upgraded and Located across the street from beautiful Stewart Park and steps from shops and restaurants. With no residential neighbours, you have your own private location yet right in the heart of downtown Perth.
The space
Home features two bedrooms located upstairs. First bedroom has a queen bed and walk in closest. Second bedroom has two twin beds, upon request twin beds can be joined together using king bedding to make one king bed. Both rooms feature room darkening blinds and new linens. Upstairs bathroom has a new tub and handheld shower head.

Main floor has an open concept kitchen and dining room with a large dining room table perfect for making memories with friends and family. Kitchen features all basic cookware, new Nespresso Vertuo machine and electric kettle stocked with an assortment of teas and coffee pods.

Living room features a brand new queen Beauty rest pullout couch, gas fireplace and a 50inch tv with Roku guest access. Free Wifi also provided.

Main floor bathroom has a glass door shower.

Large enclosed seasonal front sunroom with two seating areas, perfect for morning coffee or an afternoon drink. Large backyard.

Guests will be provided a keypad code prior to check-in. Entry will be at the back door. Please note the keypad is dark so if you cannot see the digits, shine your phone flashlight to illuminate. Please exit and enter via the back door as guests will not have keys to lock the front door.
Other things to note
Parking available for 2 vehicles, parked one behind the other. Please note this driveway is narrow so use caution when entering and exiting. Paid parking lots available next doors as well.

Stairs feature a retractable safety gate and double railings for additional safety.

Perth area is known for its heritage buildings, boutique and antique shopping and maple syrup.

The water in front of the dock is ideal for fishing and gazing but swimming is recommended in the middle of the lake.

Forest walks on the property or nearby wetlands (with swans and herons) this property is a country dream. And dont forget the sky full of stars at night and birds chirping in the morning
The caravan is one open consept space with built in double bed and dining table can be converted to a second.
Amenities include an outhouse, gas stove top, ice bottles provided daily in built in fridge. Drinking water, pumped water tap for washing as well as solar lighting and USB power pack for recharging phones and lights. There is slso a windup radio, books, games and a frisbee.

This custom built cabin is nestled amongst the pine trees on out 3 acre family property near Rideau Ferry, three minutes from Big Rideau and Lower Rideau Lakes. The cabin has a small living area downstairs with couch, work desk and small kitchenette complete with beautiful glass door woodstove to keep you cosy on the colder nights. Sleeping quarters are up in a loft above. Access is by ladder and head clearance is 48" in the middle so you need to be comfortable moving around on your knees. Bathroom access is 25 metres away inside the main house. Please note that while you have the cabin to yourself, the cabin is opposite our family home and we have three young boys who may be playing in the yard. Also, there is no plumbing to the cabin, but there is a sink with running water under gravity.

- "Online information false/misleading and the property is completely unsuitable for anyone with even minor mobility issues. I was booked for two nights but left after one and went to a motel. - notwithstanding what the website advertises, this cabin does NOT have a bathroom. A bathroom is available in the main house, 50 or so meters away. It is not separate from the host's living space (i.e. not private). To use the bathroom at night, you will need a flashlight (and an umbrella anytime it's raining). - although it advertises having a kitchen, there is no running water (cabin is not plumbed). There is a jug of water and a sink that drains into a bucket. - second floor loft bedroom has a ceiling only about 4 feet high. Average person cannot stand up to dress in that space. Extremely awkward moving around (hands and knees) - ladder from main floor to bedroom is an attic-style, pull down staircase. One can navigate reasonably well going up but descending its very steep slope is treacherous; it's an accident waiting to happen (nowhere near what the building code requires for staircases) - view from the cabin is the main house, a laundry line and parked vehicles Rustic in the extreme, but much better than a tent. For the price, would have expected much, much more. Probably OK for youthful, adventurous types. Hosts friendly. I get what they are doing but project poorly executed. "

Step into Perth’s history from the first privately used telephone, to the 1850 Music Hall. Posters of actual performers at the Music Hall grace the entryway, from violinist Camille Urso to opera singer Anna Bishop and General Tom Thumb, entertainer made famous by P.T. Barnum. Once inside, you'll be surrounded by the intriguing and delightful details connected to the building's unique musical history, such as an actual section of the original ornate coved plaster ceiling in the kitchen. The building was also home to the first privately owned telephone in Canada.

The space:

You'll have the entire apartment as your own private space. In the main area, enjoy abundant natural light from large multi-paned windows. Of the two beautifully appointed bedrooms, The Music Room (note the trumpet on the dresser) was the original "green room" where performers waited prior to heading on stage. Across the way is the Bell Room, which contains an antique telephone representing Perth's first privately used telephone, originally located in that room.

The entire apartment features high ceilings and original pine floors for a spacious yet cozy environment. We strive to keep our decor local with furnishings and accessories from regional artists, chosen from the many boutiques in the area.

Kitchen:

Our newly designed retro kitchen has everything you need, from full-sized stove and fridge to an old-fashioned styled blender. French press coffee maker, full set of dishes and silverware and a dishwasher. And, as our gift to you, you'll receive your own bag of Perth's locally roasted coffee.

These rooms were the original entrance to the Music Hall and are imbued with the building's history. In the Music Room, for instance, current walls are covered in protective wallpaper and paint to preserve signatures of many performers from the 1850s underneath. Also preserved is the original Music Hall ceiling, still intact and soaring overhead behind the false ceiling (installed in 1890). Amazingly, the current apartment ceilings still remain 10 feet high.

Bedrooms:

Your stay in The Music Room features loads of natural light, two high windows overlooking mature maple trees, and original wood floors. A large closet and antique chest of drawers provide ample storage. At bedtime, sink into the new queen-sized Casper mattress with organic cotton sheets and soft quilt. Two side tables with touch-sensitive usb lamps invite you to enjoy a good book in bed.

If you opt for the Alexander Bell bedroom, your surroundings will include an antique phone and a dresser, plus a new queen-sized Casper mattress with organic sheets and soft quilt.
There is also a dedicated desk and chair for your workspace. A generous closet and high window overlooking the back garden complete this space.

Welcome to our centrally located 700 square foot home.
Enjoy all that historic Perth has to offer at this quaint “little house with a big heart” that has been in my family for over 50 years. Located on Gore St. E. & within walking distance to all downtown amenities. Our home is best suited for 1-4 travellers and pets but we can accommodate a maximum of 6 humans. Carpet/smoke free.

The space
Our 700 square foot house is one block from Tim Horton’s and features an open concept living area with a double bed in one bedroom and a twin trundle in the other. Reclining couch (double) offers additional space if required. Please make arrangements in advance to ensure that enough linens and towels are prepared for your visit with us.

Guest access
Guests will enjoy the entire house plus parking for two. Keyless entry offers a flexible check in and departure time. Although we have a Keurig many guests enjoy the Tim Horton’s located one block away.

Window A/C unit and ceiling fans in every room. Gas furnace.
Please turn off when you leave.

Guest access
There is a side entrance to the building that you access via a keypad. The apartment #3 has a door that you access with a keypad as well, the code will be provided. Since the apartment is on the second floor, it is very private with stunning views.
Please note our buildings are heritage properties and we don’t have an elevator, you
have to take stairs
The entire apartment is yours. For short term stays up to one week cleaning fee is included.
Long term stay will have additional cleaning fee of $90weekly
there are no other costs. Parking and wifi are included.

New beds and bedding, fairly traded design, interior stone walls, and whimsical touches make up Rainbow Cottage. Walk the many rooms of this heritage home that began as a one room stone cottage for Haggart’s Mill, and kept on growing! Enjoy outdoor dining, an Edwardian greenhouse, 2 acre backyard, or paddle up the river. Enjoy a bbq with our big green egg or a fire by the water.

Equipped for children big and small, and featuring a main floor bedroom, and two bedrooms upstairs. Find out why we call it the ballroom bathroom, with hidden stain glass!
We also have hens on site that are fun to watch, and we happy to share favourite local recommendations. Ask about a tour of Haggart House! Please note we do not allow wedding parties.
