We have two fire pits, one on the cliffside and one by the bunkie. Our cabin is very secluded and private on 17 acres of wilderness. We have lots of wildlife, for example: deer, raccoons, fox, bear, barn owls, bald eagle and many different birds with beautiful songs. Imagine hiking, snowshoeing or cross country skiing in your own backyard. Manicured trails are nearby if preferred. Our shoreline is 1,000 feet and rocky with deep warm water. Enjoy diving off the dock or try your luck fishing. Our lake has many kinds of fish... pike, bass, etc. Or just enjoy the privacy and quietness or a good book. Summer water toys include a big floating mat, many flitter boards, canoe and aluminum boat. We have lots of room to park your boat/ATV/snowmobile trailers. OFSC and OFATV trails are very close to our cabin! The ATV/snowmobile bridge to Quebec is 10 minutes away. In the winter there is a manicured skating trail only 15 minutes away through a beautiful forest. Come and enjoy the wood burning stove and the peacefulness and privacy of “The Rock”.
The cabin has a queen size bed on the main level with a double and single mattress in a shallow loft above. The bunkie has a double bed, a single bunkbed and a couch. There is also a couch in the main cabin.

Whitefield Cottage Rental Agreement

1. OCCUPANCY
a) Any person, regardless of age is considered a “renter/occupant” of Whitefield Cottage.

b) Renters/Occupants who allow guests at Whitefield Cottage, either daytime or overnight in excess of the pre-authorized maximum number of occupants will be subject to either immediate eviction without refund, or a $100.00 per unauthorized guest charge, at the sole discretion of the Owner.

c) Sub-letting of Whitefield Cottage is not permitted. Where separate parties will be occupying Whitefield Cottage at different time periods, Rental agreements must be completed and accepted by the Owner for each party.

d) Camping, tenting, trailers, or other additional accommodations facilities are not permitted on Whitefield Cottage property unless previous written permission has been obtained from the Owner.

2. RESTRICTIONS
a) The Renter agrees to abide by all the restrictions set out in the Whitefield Cottage Rental Agreement.

b) The Renter agrees that he/she is responsible for the adherence to these restrictions of any and all occupants to Whitefield Cottage during his/her stay.

3. PETS & SMOKING
a) No pet policy in effect, unless authorized by owner.
b) No Smoking inside Whitefield Cottage.

4. GENERAL
a) The Renter acknowledges that there are surveillance cameras on the outside of the property for the safety and protection of the Property as well as the Renter.
b) The Renter acknowledges that there are door, window and motion sensors inside the property but remain inactive during the Renter’s stay. (Alarm system).

CHECK-IN TERMS & CONDITIONS:

1. PARKING
a) Vehicles should not be driven or parked on the grass or walkway.
There are drainage pipes under the grass as well as the septic tank that can be damaged if driven over.

2. KITCHEN
a) Renters will bring all personal necessities such as drinking water, grocery items, spices, condiments, paper towels, etc.

b) All cupboards/drawers have been labelled for easy use.
Cupboards/drawers with no labels are left empty to allow Renters space for their items during their stay.

c) All cupboards have pictures inside to help Renter put away the belongings.

d) The refrigerator is provided in a clean and empty state

e) A water cooler is available for use. Renters may bring their own jugs (15L)

3. BATHROOM / BED LINENS
a) Renter will bring all personal necessities such as toilet paper, toiletries, bath towels etc
b) Renter will bring own bed linens unless otherwise arranged with owner

4. DISH/HAND SOAP
a) Soap re-fill bottles are under the kitchen sink

b) Dish washer detergent can be found in the drawer labelled “Cleaning Supplies”

5. LAUNDRY DETERGENT
a) Laundry detergent is provided

6. GARBAGE
a) Do not throw garbage or waste into the lake, pond water or fire pit

b) All collected garbage should be put into the provided large clear garbage bags first before keeping them in the Garbage Bins under the carport

c) Garbage Bins are to be kept locked at all times.

d) The key for the Garbage Bins can be found on the key holder in the Kitchen/Dinning area. (The wall on the left after the front closet).
Both Garbage Bins use the same key.

7. KAYAKS, PADDLE BOAT & MUSKOKA CHAIRS
a) The kayaks must be pulled up to the grass area when not in use, along with the paddles for them to avoid the lake carrying them away.

b) The paddleboat must be attached to the dock when not in use.

c) The paddle boat and kayaks are all kept in the Red Shed at the back of the property.

d) The key to the Shed can be found on the key holder in the Kitchen/Dinning area. (The wall on the left after the front closet).

8. LIFEJACKETS
a) Life Jackets are provided for Renter’s safety.
They are kept in the Supply Room of the lower level of the cottage (near foosball table).

9. BBQ PROPANE TANK
a) Renters are provided with 1 full tank of propane for their barbecuing needs.

b) Renters can contact the Owner if they require a refill.
Refills are $25 per tank.

10. FIRE PIT
a) The fire pit can be used at the Renter’s discretion. Owner is not responsible for any injury or bodily harm caused by the fire, fire pit or activity in general.

b) Firewood is supplied at the request of the Renter
Renters should not use the wood on the backside of the garage.
Garbage cannot be burnt in the fire pit

c) Watering tool can be found in the Shed. It must be kept within reach, with water, anytime fire pit is being used.

11. WIFI
a) The internet information is provided on the wall next to the main bathroom.

12. FIRE STOVE
a) The fire stove in the basement living room is NOT to be used or tampered
with. If term is violated, a fee will be deducted for any damage as well as any additional cleaning required.

13. GENERAL
a) Basic cleaning supplies have been provided. Renters are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Whitefield Cottage, including the bathroom, kitchen sink, microwave and stove.

b) Outdoor shoes/water shoes must not be worn inside the house.

c) Keep outdoor noise to a minimum and to a decent hour of the night.

d) A landline is available for Renter’s use as the reception on cell service is not steady. Calls within Ontario are free; any charges incurred for additional calls made will be charged to the Renter.

e) On the day of check in, take a few minutes to look around the cottage and please inform the owners of any items that appear to be missing, broken/damaged.

CHECK-OUT TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. KITCHEN
a) Renter will ensure all items are placed in their appropriate places based on the labels in the kitchen. Please use the pictures for guidance.

b) All cabinets and drawers with no labels should have no items left in them.

2. BATHROOM
a) All bathroom cupboards and drawers will be emptied out of personal belongings.

3. GARBAGE
a) A fee will apply to any excess garbage/bottles left on the property not discussed with the Owner.

b) Once Garbage Bins (under Car Port) are used, they should be locked up.
Please return key to holder found in the Kitchen/Dinning area. (The wall on the left after the front closet).

c) Nearby local landfill sites located a short drive away, if you need to dispose your own garbage:
• Shaw Woods Road
• Berndt Road Transfer Site
• Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre

4. GARBAGE PICK UP OPTION
a) 4 bags total of Recycling & Garbage included for bookings over $1200 (Rental Fee). Additional fees apply if more bags are left.
Otherwise Renter can request for Garbage to be picked up at the end of the stay for a fee of $5/bag (***Limit: 4 Bags in TOTAL (Garbage & Recycling)

i) Garbage will need to be tied up into the large clear garbage bags/Recycling into the large blue recycling bags. (All bags are provided)

ii) The bags will need to be placed into the black/grey Garbage Bins under the carport.
• ANY items left outside of bags will be charged additionally at a rate deemed necessary by the Owner.
• Additional fees also apply if the bags are overfilled/too heavy causing them to break.

5. KAYAKS, PADDLE BOAT & MUSKOKA CHAIRS
a) The 2 Kayaks will need to be put back in the Red Shed at the end of your stay.

b) From Jun 1 to Sept 5, the Paddle Boat can be left secured to the dock and all the Muskoka chairs left under the gazebo or lower deck.

c) During the remainder of the calendar year, the Paddle Boat will need to be put back in the Red Shed. The Muskoka Chairs will need to be left under the gazebo or lower deck.

d) Renters will lock the Shed and return the key to holder found in the Kitchen/Dinning area. (The wall on the left after the front closet).

6. LIFE JACKETS
a) All life jackets and water equipment taken from the supply room will need to be returned to this room.

7. BBQ PROPANE TANK
a) Please leave all used tanks on the bottom deck and ensure BBQ is left clean.

8. FIRE PIT
a) Empty out watering tool and return it back to the Shed.

9. GENERAL
a) It is the renter’s responsibility to clean the property to the same standard it was on arrival.

b) All floors should be cleaned of visible garbage, dirt and food items.

c) All garbage bags should be taken out.

d) Complete the Checkout Check List and leave it on the kitchen counter.

e) Turn off all lights and ensure all windows and doors are locked.

f) Please call us for any questions or assistance.

And if it is winter solitude you are after, walk 5 minutes in any direction on snow shoes and you will find a secluded winter paradise among the towering pines and shimmering spruces.

This cabin site is tucked into the forest at the base of the Deacon Escarpment with a view of the Bonnechere Valley Hills. It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

There are 3 other private cabins on this property, the "Algonquin Wolf," "Trackers Cabin," and the "Sarah Lesley;" all 3 are 4 season, off-grid with solar power.
Other things to note
Our nature trails are mostly hilly, so be prepared for a climb up, but enjoy the hike down on the way back. There is a picnic table lookout area at the top for a picnic or rest. There are steep drops in places. Please keep an eye on your children! The trails below the escarpment are more forested and have little or no hills. They are excellent for viewing birds and seeing animal tracks.
Cell service available: cabins and campsites are located close to a cell tower. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Please keep them close or on a leash so that they do not chase the deer:)

- "The property was nicely secluded, with multiple trails leading up to the top of the escarpment with a lovely view of Golden Lake. The cabin itself was clean and cozy, and the AC was perfect for sleeping as we went in a 35° July heatwave. Great little fire pit with affordable firewood supplied by the hosts. Be mindful of leaving any dry food in the screened-in kitchenette if going out for more than an hour -- the local chipmunks are hungry and know what they're looking for. Only minor complaint was the outdoor shower. Was expecting a wall-mounted, electrically-pumped shower connected to rain barrels (and the welcome binder in the cabin had instructions for such), but instead there was a pump sprayer with a garden hose attachment -- worked well for cleaning up, but my girlfriend wasn't thrilled. All in all, a great spot in the Bonnechere Valley if you're looking for something nicer than tent camping but are still willing to give up the amenities of the city. Even better if you bring your own kayak or paddleboard to hit up the Bonnechere River."

This off-grid, two bedroom log cabin has a private hiking trail along the top of the Deacon Escarpment leading to your stunning view of Golden Lake. Enjoy exploring, hiking, and canoeing; Cabin Comforts:propane fireplace, fridge/freezer, kitchenware, stove with oven, washroom with composting toilet and vanity with cold running water. Bedrooms each have single over double bunks. The parking area is 600m(3 season), 1.7km in the winter, Free shuttle!

This cabin is completely off-grid for a light footprint camping experience with minimal impact to the escarpment environment!

-interior and exterior solar lighting -seasonal cold, running water -seasonal solar shower, which you may have to boil water for if there is NO SUN that day, or pack body wipes

There is a private deck view of the Bonnechere Valley. The forest and ponds of the escarpment provide wildlife viewing year round especially in the winter for the whitetail deer migration. Don't forget your camera!

The space
This is cabin #2, cute cozy with large screen deck. Cabin 1 has a seperate listing and is available or if you wish to stay with a larger group both cabins are available listed together.

This cabin is the smaller of the two and features: a raised screened in porch, main room with a couch that folds out into a double bed, hot plate, toaster, table, and a tv/dvd. We have a wide selection of DVDs which you are welcome to borrow. There are steep stairs that take you to the loft which has a double bed. Near the cabin we have a bench and book house perfect for a relaxed outdoor read. Our property has 2 ponds, a communal fire pit, flower and vegetable gardens, fields, a barn, and almost 30 acres of forest that you can explore.

We have running water to the cabins from our onsite well via hoses from the main house. There is a private outdoor shower for all our guests located near our house. Each cabin has its own private, clean, outhouse located close by. Plenty of parking.

We do allow pets but they must be added to the booking (additional fee required).
1 dog max unless pre approved at the time of booking. Please bring a long leash to keep them tied up and safe when unaccompanied outside. You are responsible to pick up after your pet during your stay.

The space
This cabin #1 is the larger of the two and features: a screened in porch (no bugs!!), large main room with a couch that folds out into a bed, a kitchenette, dinning table, celling fan, portable fans, tv, dvd, reliable Wifi, BBQ, picnic table. We have a wide selection of DVDs which you are welcome to borrow from! The large loft has a plush queen bed. Attached to the outside of the cabin is an outdoor kitchen and sink with potable fresh well water. This cabin is under the canopy of white pine trees providing a natural air cleaning and temperature conditioning, it’s as much as 10 degrees cooler under the tree canopy.

Our property has 2 small ponds, pedal boat, flower and vegetable gardens, fields, a barn, and 30 acres of forest that you can explore.

We have running water to the cabins from our onsite well via a hose from the main house. There is a private outdoor shower with change room for our guests located near our house. Each cabin has its own private, clean, outside toilet close by and easy to get to. Our water is amazing and pottable.

Our other cabin #2 is available on a separate listing, or if you wish to stay with a larger group both cabins are available on a listing together.

There is a driveway right up to the cabin.

We do allow pets add them at the time of booking a very small fee has been added for extra cleaning.

The house is only a minute from the main regional highway and is on a cul-de-sac with just 2 other houses. There is virtually no traffic and there are no close neighbours apart from the owner who lives in a separate house on the 1 acre property. The most popular restaurant in the region, the Wilno Tavern Restaurant, is a 3 minute walk through a pretty park dedicated to the Polish settlers of the 19th century. There are two very good galleries in Wilno. The Wilno Craft Gallery and Hillside Studio. Wilno has a very large and impressive church. Masses in both Polish and English. All in all a spacious, safe and convenient place to stay.

The space
The suite is an open but cozy basement space with a private patio entrance. The studio includes a queen sized bed, wardrobe, couch, club chair, TV, work desk, and kitchenette with table. The kitchenette does have an one burner induction cooktop, microwave, and toaster oven in addition to the full size fridge-freezer, sink and countertop. Stocked items are coffee and tea, creamer, sugar, salt and pepper and cooking oil. The full bathroom is a couple steps up from the main space. And there is laundry in a walk in closet, sound isolated a bit by a door.

The neighborhood has great historical buildings to stroll past while walking the couple blocks to downtown, grist mill park, the geo trail, or the Bonnechere river. You can launch a self propelled watercraft from a public dock or get on the OFSA snowmobile trails within a couple blocks. Additional off street parking is available on request for fishing boats and RVs. Eganville is central to all the Eastern Ontario whitewater destinations.

Get away from it all when you stay at Mackie's Golden Getaway. The glamper is situated in the backyard of a private residence surrounded by the beauties of nature. You can find all the comforts of home while out in the country, making this an excellent home base to return to after your outdoor activities. There are lots of hiking, biking, sightseeing, fishing and watercraft opportunities in the area.

The glamper sits on a private piece of country side located just 3 minutes outside of the town of Killaloe surrounded with trees, meadows and views of the backyard garden. There is a private firepit and covered patio area with outdoor table and chairs provided for your outdoor lounging needs. You will fall asleep under clear starry skies and wake up to the sounds of chirping birds. The glamper has a private bedroom with a queen mattress that sleeps 2 adults. There is additional sleeping for 2 adults or 3 small children on the pull-out sofa bed located in the living room area. The bathroom facilities include an indoor shower/tub combo, sink and toilet. Hotwater (10 gallons - limited) and 30 amp hydro hookup is provided.
On the premises there is also an unsupervised* treehouse platform with slide and zipline as well as a large trampoline and ninja slack line for your kids enjoyment. And on those rare rainy days the glamper also has some fun board games that the whole family can enjoy as well as some reading material (i.e. magazines) and a 20" HDTV. Having said that, unfortunately the TV is not a smart TV and we do not have cable/satellite at this time, but please feel free to bring your own dvds, blurays and/or memory sticks with pre-loaded movies or programs or your own choosing (the glamper also has a handful of dvds - just in case).
Last, but definitely not least, we offer a small caribbean inspired lunch/dinner menu where the spices of the caribbean meet the rustic flavours of the country side to create a little taste of paradise!

Welcome to a private newer apartment attached to the Old Creamery House built in 1911 in beautiful downtown Eganville. Our home faces highway 60 but the private apartment looks out over the Bonnechere river with a good sized lawn. Although close to highway 60 (Bonnechere street) the apartment is a quiet, well insulated space with minimal noise from traffic or from the main house. The river narrows here and can be noisy in the spring melt.

The space
Please be aware that there are 5 steps down to access the apartment. The small kitchen has a mini fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, hot plate and coffee maker so you can make light meals or snacks. We do not have a stove. We provide coffee, tea, a small amount of milk and cereals for a light breakfast. For hardier fare we suggest you take advantage of the local restaurants and coffee shops all within a short walking distance.

The bed will be made up with sheets, pillows and blankets and if you let us know that you need it, we'll make up the pull out couch. Extra pillows are on the queen bed and extra blankets in the closets.

Towels and basic washroom supplies, soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

Parking is free in our shared driveway so you have a space, additional free street parking is available as well.

There is no smoking or vaping in the building and we ask that if you are smoking outside you move away from the buildings windows and doors and use a designated container for cigarette butts.

Pets who are well behaved and friendly are welcome. Please be responsible and clean up after them. Do not leave pets alone in the apartment for extended periods of time.

There is a large covered front veranda and a large back deck and lawn area that we share with our guests that you are welcome to relax on and enjoy.

The deck off of the apartment is for your use. We just request that you respect the noise bylaws and our neighbours by not playing loud music or making a lot of noise after 11 pm.

The apartment has a two piece washroom and a separate bathroom with shower and a one person jacuzzi tub.

The internet connection is wireless and the access code will be provided. Please note that this is a small rural community and the internet is provided by Rogers and can be slow at times.

This is a beautiful back country hike-in on 200 acres near Golden Lake, ON. The Bunkie is perched upon a west facing rock outcrop overlooking a magnificent open Marsh. It has a perfect view of the sun as it sets over the horizon. This spot is ideal for bird lovers and other nature enthusiasts. The ecosystem is diverse with different seasons bringing new plants & critters into the spotlight. The property is host to a unique ecological community.

The space
This is a secluded hike-in. Approximately a 10 minute walk from where you leave your car. It is a private off-grid oasis where you can disconnect and immerse yourself in nature.

Minutes to multiple beaches (Golden Lake & Foy Beach) and swim spots. 4 km from killaloe, with a farmers market (Saturdays 9-1,) a health food store (Grandma’s Pantry,) and a cafe (Engine House.)

25 minutes to Barry’s Bay.

Close to Red Rock for the rock climbers.

Guest access
There are no cleared trails on the property aside from the one to the bunkie.

The driveway is a bush road, and past a certain point is not maintained. There are options to drive all the way in, or park at a clearing and hike a bit further.

There is a yard cart at the trailhead to transport belongings to and from the bunkie.

AWD is recommended, but not necessary.

Other things to note
There is a screen tent with a table, chairs and camp stove provided. There are grills to have a cook fire. A camp oven can also be set up.

There is a small kitchenette/wash station. Hand and dish soap are provided. As well as well water for dishes. Spring water is provided inside for drinking. The buffet is stocked with dishes, cutlery and basic utensils. Pots & pans (cast iron,) can opener/corkscrew/citrus juicer/measuring cups/bowls, etc.

The bed is two stacked singles. And an extra mattress underneath. Please bring your own bed sheets/pillow cases, and extra if you bring a four-legged.

Newly renovated this space is sure to please. Open concept kitchen, dining room and living room and large windows allows our guests lots of room and natural light. Fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need to cook your own meals. Private driveway and entrance. Walking distance to downtown Pembroke where you can find all your amenities; restaurants, shopping, groceries, laundry mat etc. Only minutes from Algonquin College, Pembroke's waterfront and Algonquin walking trail.

This space includes a fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge and stove to prepare and cook your own meals. Keurig Coffee maker, electric tea kettle and toaster to make mornings a breeze. Our brand new bathroom has a tub and shower with towels provided. Two spacious bedrooms with lots of closet space.

It is sometimes possible to drive back and other times (and based on vehicle type) not possible. The trail is in good condition for walking and is about 400m from the road/parking area.

Welcome to Naiad Bay, a natural getaway on the Ottawa River. This is an ideal base for your outdoor adventures. Only 15 minutes from some of the best Whitewater in the world. Also located on the BORCA bike trail network. There are several rafting companies with a variety of activities. The owner is available to guide experienced paddlers down either channel of the Ottawa.

Please note that a cat normally lives in this house so if you are allergic this may not be the listing for you.

The space
This is a chalet style home with a double bed in the downstairs bedroom and a queen-sized bed in the large loft.
There is an outdoor shower if you or your gear get extra dirty.

The property is under development and access to the waterfront is rustic. A cat lives in the house when it is not rented but will be with the owner. There may be some cat hair but I can guarantee that there are no mice in the house.

This is a new house with A/C and forced air heating. There is satellite Internet, and landline but no TV.

This is a rural property with a septic system and well water. Additionally, living in the valley and staying in a private home means that there may be other situations we cannot control, such as weather and harsh conditions knocking out the wifi and power. While these instances are few and far between, we please ask that you are patient as we work to resolve them as quickly as possible.
