We were a century old home with tonnes of character that has been fully gutted and renovated and fully furnished with all your modern amenities

The side door entry by the garage is not heated, but gave us lots of room to leave boots, snow shoes, skates etc until needed. Entering from here into the main house there is a mat that summarizes this property that reads: “get cozy”. Three well appointed bedrooms upstairs, open concept main floor. Everything is like brand new, there are lots of perks here above and beyond basic spices so if you forget anything, the owners most likely have provided for it. It felt like home and it was easy to “get cozy” !"

Zukaland House Rules:

- "We had a wonderful stay at the Teremok Cabin. We were met by our host who gave us a full run-down of the property and tour of the site. The cabin is a cosy space with beautiful furnishings and finishing touches, all with a theme of a Russian Folk Tale. The shower/toilet block had all the amenities that you could need, and was a short 20 metre walk away from the cabin. The path can get a little muddy in the rain.Down the 150 metre path to the hot tub was quite steep, and not suitable for flip-flops, but there is a handrail and steps to help you down. The wood-fired hot tub was pre-heated and ready for us as soon as we needed it. We were also able to take cooling breaks in the nearby river. A private changing area was also available, with towels and robes for use. There were paddleboards, pedalo, and life jackets which we could use. A wonderful stay for anyone who is looking to get out of the day-to-day grind, and take a step back to the basics of nature. "

Muskoka is an adorable room at The Jypsy Inn. You will have your own patio when you stay in Muskoka. As well the room has a small fridge w/ freezer microwave, coffee maker, keurig and toaster. The king size bed is super comfy . When you stay at our inn you are close to everything in Bracebridge so close that you can park your car for the weekend and walk everywhere. We are around the corner from the falls and the main street.

Situated on 5.6 acres of wooded land, and a river which winds around the property, it's a perfect place to unplug and recharge. Our rustic home has a full eat in kitchen, and a living area with a wood burning stove, and clean outhouse for guests to use. Upstairs a sleeping loft which accommodates up to 4 people comfortably.

The space
The cabin is a private home with access to the outdoor spaces on the property. The sleeping area is an open concept loft that accommodates up to 4 people comfortably. There is no running water in the home, however we provide water for drinking and cleaning if necessary. Adjacent to the cabin is a clean outhouse for guests to use. No shower available, however the river is a nice place to refresh and rinse off.

Seasonally there are lots of perks and things to consider:

In the summer the property is lush and the river is a wonderful to take a dip or bring a canoe. The current however is strong so please be prepared. If river swimming is not your thing, there is a lake located less than 1km away that provides an oasis for you and your friends to swim, boat, or lay in the sun.

Winters are a winter wonderland, we are on the snow belt and get a lot of snow. We carve out cool trenches to get around the property so that’s fun! It is cold because….winter, and the bunkie is heated by a wood stove. It does heat up nicely but do consider bringing warm clothes. We provide ample quilts to sleep in, but warm pj’s are good idea as well.

Bracebridge is about 25 mins from the cottage and it filled with wonderful hikes, waterfalls and a lovely town with delicious food.

This is a place for those who want to get of grid and do a little glamping. It may not have amenities of a resort, but what it does have to offer is a sense of being away from the noise and bustle of the city. It is for those who want to be in nature and bathe in the peace and quiet. Sitting by the river, chatting and laughing by the fire pit; these are the joys our stay has to offer.

This is a self-contained walkout basement unit with its separate entrance. It is ideal for two adults, but can accommodate up to three.
There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom, and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room. We have a well stocked kitchenette with a coffee/tea station and an electric kettle.
Enjoy a morning coffee/tea in the living room, that has an oversized window overlooking our backyard and the ravine beyond. Cook your meals in the kitchenette or use our outdoor grilling equipment with a nice campfire on those pleasant evenings (Bring your own firewood).
You can also cozy up around our indoor gas fireplace on those rainy or cold days. We have books and board games to help you have a great time indoors as well, in case the weather doesn't cooperate.

Small water access cabin on a Muskoka lake for great swimming, sunsets and views. Perfect for those looking for an a affordable, natural getaway on a quiet beautiful lake. 

The space
The small cabin is perfect for luxury indoor camping. Complete privacy in insured, water access only, and no neighbors in sight or close by with over 500' of shoreline.  The kitchen is equipped with all the necessitates for cooking and eating for four. The kitchen features a dual sink and on demand cold water tap. The new for 2021 fridge freezer will have lots of space for your food and drinks.   A dual propane cook top is inside, while the propane barbecue is outside. The cabin is solar powered with good switched lighting and phone charging (12v/USB only - not 110v).  The loft has a double bed, and room for a single beside, the second double mattress can be pulled downstairs for additional sleeping space as required.  The cabin has a walk out to a covered post and beam screen room for additional seating and eating space.  A short walk away is the outhouse facility. An outdoor cedar enclosure is behind the cabin for private powered showers with propane powered heated water.

Swimming and diving are deep water, with a natural rock ramp to get back for the next dive. The lake is mostly park reserve, 5.5km long.

The cabin comes with one kayak, a canoe and 14' aluminum boat with 5hp gas motor.

While the off grid small water access cabin rental experience is not for all, it will be very well enjoyed for those looking for an a affordable, natural getaway on a quiet beautiful lake.  Pricing is affordable, a great alternative to crowded camping with no privacy and you don't have to bring the kitchen sink.

The cabin is water access, about 300-400m across from Bigwind Lake Road, east of Bracebridge, off Hwy 118. The road access is on the south side of the lake, while the cabin is on the north side. I will try to welcome you and ensure you stay starts off well.

The property is across the lake, look for the two bays across, in the right bay zoom in, birds eye view, and you will see my dock beside the shore. The Sanctuary Studio

Relax in this light and bright above ground studio apartment featuring a private entrance, kitchen, renovated bathroom, murphy bed/couch and dedicated deck area. Lounge on the outdoor sofa in the shared outdoor space, hike down to the on-site dock for excellent swimming on the river, or walk into town to enjoy shopping, restaurants, and breweries or watch a movie at the theatre. Also nearby are many hiking trails, including Wilson's Falls and the Trans-Canada Trail.

Bright, sunny loft apartment with a cozy cottage feel. The master bedroom has a queen bed while the 2nd bedroom has two twin beds- which can be pushed together to accommodate a couple. The loft features in house laundry, a full kitchen stocked with the essentials and a TV equipped with a Google Chromecast for streaming your favourite services. The sound of the Falls can be heard from the private backyard which has a large lawn area, fire pit and backs onto a forested area.

There are two tandem parking spots available with the loft. Please note that the property features two driveways. The spots reserved for your stay will be on right hand side of the LEFT driveway. Our off-grid cabin makes a lovely hideaway for those wanting to truly unplug. The cabin is minimal and welcoming, with a serene feel. We hand-built this cabin to be a true sustainable retreat, using wood milled from our land and custom carpentry.

The cabin sits on our treed homestead property, surrounded by tall pines and large granite boulders.
For those looking to intentionally escape and reconnect with nature.

The space
Please note the cabin is fully off-grid meaning there isn’t electricity! The cabin is modern and clean, a bright and natural-feeling space. The inside features custom carpentry, rough cut pine floors and ladder to a sleeping loft with a comfortable bed. Large windows and a screened in Muskoka room allow you to enjoy the outdoors without insects interfering. The location is wooded and serene. We live on the property and have a small homestead, it is not uncommon to hear chickens, children, and sometimes the tractor running.

Don't have IG? Just ask! We can help! In the shoulder seasons and winter you will need to be comfortable with the woodstove and keeping a fire going for extra heat.

The built-in kitchenette allows cooking inside, and a Yeti cooler keeps your food and drinks cold. We provide coffee + tea. This is an off-grid glamping experience, so expect to be immersed in nature and the elements.

The cabin is about 10 minutes from downtown Bracebridge, where you will find shops, galleries and dining. Check out our guide for our favourite spots! Huntsville, Port Carling and Algonquin Park are also 25-45 minutes away.

Guest access
The cabin is yours to access. The cabin is on our property, it is essentially our bunkie, about 350ft through the trees from our house. We raise chickens, and you may hear them clucking and chirping while you're outside. On busy summer weekends you can sometimes hear traffic through the trees. Our children often enjoy the outdoors too, and are indoors and preparing for sleep around 8pm. You are welcome to seek us out if we are home and contact us when you need anything, generally we like to allow our guests space. Our home is on the same property, but separated. Please understand that we unfortunately cannot allow pets here.

Other things to note
This cabin has been built almost entirely from wood and materials milled from our property here in Muskoka and has been built completely by us (with a little help from friends and family). All of its belongings have been sought out consciously, and with respect to the environment. Tag us in your adventures here IG: @thecabinmuskoka. Also find us on IG if you have questions about the cabin, how it was built, etc but are not looking to book a night here. We welcome the use of our space for photography, don’t hesitate to reach out!

**outdoor dry firewood is provided on the screened in porch. The wood underneath the porch is decorative and not dry, so please use only the small wood stacked in the screened in porch. If you need more just let us know! Please do not scavenge wood from the forest, we have a managed forest lot so we carefully protect our trees.

**the stairs to the loft is a steep ladder so please come ready for an adventure and able to climb!

**There is no electricity here, but we do provide battery-solar operated lights. Please bring a battery bank if you like to charge devices. The cabin does not have a shower. There is hand-pumped water which is beautifully clean. There is a small powder room with a composting toilet. It is essentially a tiny home, studio style with a loft, and the powder room has a door.

**There is heat, and a wood stove, but the lower level of the cabin can be chilly when temps drop below 5 degrees or so, please pack warm slippers if you are travelling here in the shoulder seasons/winter. Be prepared to keep a fire going to stay super warm when the cold hits! The cabin does not have AC.

**Bug Season is anytime between mid May - end of June (although there will be insects all summer, this is the height of it. Please consider this before booking your stay in the spring season.

**We recommend backing in to the parking space to make it easier to drive out, please do not pull in all the way to the cabin as the path narrows to a footpath and there are tree roots and rocks.

**For guests considering staying here in the winter - there are many places to ski, skate, and snowshoe locally! There are two sets of snowshoes at the cabin for guests to use, and a trail right from the cabin steps. Winter guests may hear noise from the plow, or the odd snowmobile starting!
