Minutes to downtown, golf and walking trails. Great swimming at your own risk. Fishing permitted from docks, but... no cleaning permitted at waterfront. Prior permission for free dockage at your own risk. No BBQ provided... use your own away from buildings.
The space
We open approx. May 01st. and close after Cranberry Festival - Bala in October... "Freezin' is the Reason"! One queen bed & double pull-out, suitable for two adults plus third person at $30. extra per night. $100. fee will be added if dishes not washed and premises left unclean condition. 2 day min stay unless only 1 day left opened. We ask that cooking odours be limited for next guests while cooking fish and curry, etc.
NOTE: No Reservation is confirmed until written response from the Hosts!
Guest access
Guests may access front lawns, picnic tables and docks overlooking the Muskoka River. Guests may also use the docks for swimming but no one permitted on any boats docked. Picnic tables available for outdoor eating. NOTE: Due to river and fishpond, NO CHILD... under any circumstances, may be left unattended at anytime while on the premises.
Note: Free parking on grass boulevard only... no parking ithe the driveway... no exceptions.
Other things to note
NO PETS are permitted on premises unless Registered + Trained guide/comfort dogs and you possess papers outlining the qualification from a recognized training company. No smoking indoors.

The space
Located on the Muskoka River just 10 min to the main street of Bracebridge and a short drive to the quaint Muskoka towns of Port Carling, Bala, Huntsville and Gravenhurst. The Riverloft is a great home base for accessing activities throughout Muskoka, Algonquin National Park, and Arrowhead Provincial Park. Please refer to our listed "Guidebook" to help you choose from the many available winter activities.
PRIVATE GUEST COTTAGE & OUTSIDE SPACE
As owners and hosts of Riverloft, we live on the property in our own home, a 100% separate structure. With such a large piece of property and waterfront you will find your loft and outdoor space very private. We have separate parking and use a separate yard area, but share access of the main road to the property so you may see us come and go, or out in our yard.
BBQ and COOKING
The outdoor BBQ is wired directly to the log cabin propane source and is available year round. Cooking can be done year round outside in the outdoor kitchen area on the BBQ. Propane is provided, as well as a skillet and BBQ utensils. Please turn off the BBQ valve when finished. Never leave food or trash outside and keep your cooler inside as the night time bandits (racoons) come by frequently looking for dinner.
The indoor kitchenette offers plates, glassware, utensils, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, induction cooktop/pots/pans, a Ninja crockpot with 3 functions , a microwave and a convection toaster oven. Condiments like coffee, oil, vinegar, and salt & pepper are provided for your convenience. While the water is treated with a filter and UV system, it is drawn from the river and has tannins (slight discoloration) so you may prefer to bring your own drinking water.
FIREPIT
The outdoor Firepit located near your loft building is available year round and is dedicated for your private use. Wood for small warming fires is provided, and is available at the grocery and hardware store if more is required. Please ensure the fire is completely extinguished before retiring for the evening. Please note that daytime burning is not allowed as per town bylaws.
SEPTIC:
We use a septic system, so PLEASE ONLY FLUSH TOILET PAPER AND BODILY WASTE. All other products such as feminine products, make up wipes, baby wipes, lysol wipes, (even if they indicate "flushable"), paper towels, and dental floss should be disposed of in the bathroom garbage.
Inside your cabin is a coffee maker and coffee, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockpot, toaster oven, fridge and sink. A BBQ, propane and a cooktop is provided for your use. Please turn off the BBQ valve when finished. Never leave food or trash outside and keep your cooler inside as the night time bandits come by frequently looking for dinner.
DOCKS:
The Boat Port dock located directly in front of the loft is dedicated exclusively for Riverloft guests' use. The side with the white Muskoka chairs is for guest use. As your hosts living on the property, we will occasionally use the right hand side of that dock to access our boat.
SUMMER:
While your hosts live on the property you will have a dedicated waterfront and dock with both a sandy wading area and deep water swimming . Two adult kayaks, two child kayaks, a peddle boat, as well as life vests are provided for your private use. You assume your own risk if you choose to use them. Our little piece of paradise is very quiet and is surrounded by water on three sides with almost 200 feet of frontage on the Muskoka River. Swim out from your dock, paddle out to the lake in a kayak, or laze there in the sunshine enjoying the Muskoka River. You will enjoy exclusive use of the left side of the Boat Port dock, including loungers. The righthand finger of your dock is shared by our family and friends to access the boat. You may see us briefly taking our boat out for a day or evening trip to Lake Muskoka. With such a large piece of property and waterfront you will find your space very private.

PRIVATE GUEST COTTAGE & OUTSIDE SPACE
Riverloft guests have private and exclusive use of the loft, including the outdoor dedicated deck space, BBQ, firepit and Boat Port Dock (lefthand side). The loft is built on the top floor of a log building. The lower area has been converted into a garage which is used for storage, not vehicles.
