Welcome to our enchanting treehouse, where rustic charm meets the tranquility of nature. This truly unique treehouse is the perfect place to fulfill your childhood dreams, relax, unwind, and spend time with nature. An amazing structure supported by rustic logs from the surrounding forest and handcrafted by a father who wanted to create a magical space for his family to enjoy. Inside, you'll find a cozy open concept 110 square foot space, equipped with a main living/sleeping room, small coffee bar area, and two small loft spaces. The treehouse sleeps 2 adults and 2 small children comfortably.
The sleeping quarters consist of two single sized beds in the loft spaces and a futon that folds out easily into a cozy double bed. An electric panel heater is the main source of heat, which keeps the small space nice and toasty.
The coffee bar is equipped with a Keurig coffee machine and an assortment of coffees, teas and hot chocolate.
In the lower level, you will find a small kitchen area equipped with a kettle, toaster, coffee press, and electric hot plate. There is a small refrigerator however we encourage you to bring a cooler if you're staying for a prolonged period of time. There is also a small barbecue located on the lower treehouse deck for your cooking needs. The kitchen is equipped with a bottled potable water system connected to a small tap. This water can also be used for cooking. We also provide an extra large jug of water for drinking if needed. We provide cookware, plates, cups, bowls, and utensils. Linens will be provided for all the beds but feel free to bring an extra sleeping bag or two if you’re planning on staying on a very cold night.
The treehouse is off grid and therefore powered by a generator-we encourage guests to try to limit use to one appliance at a time when possible (ie. turn off the heater if using the toaster or kettle). We are in the process of adding solar and battery power to improve overall efficiency.
The lower level also has has a small bathroom equipped with composting toilet, seasonal shower, small sink and bottled water system.
A brand-new detached outhouse just a few steps away from the treehouse will also accommodate your toileting needs. We encourage guests to use the outhouse as much as possible.
The treehouse has multiple windows that provide beautiful views of the surrounding forest. For entertainment, a TV as well as a DVD player with a varied selection of DVDs is provided. Unfortunately, there is no WIFI at the treehouse but I promise you'll find a better connection.
There is a beautiful private firepit area just a few steps away from the treehouse where you can enjoy a nice bonfire surrounded by nature.

Tucked away behind our property among the pines near Trout Lake, Fireside Haven offers a peaceful retreat with a rustic charm, perfect for those who enjoy a comfortable, camping-like experience. Our renovated 5th wheel provides a unique and cozy stay for guests seeking tranquility without the frills of luxury accommodations.
We live on the property and we also have tenants in the main house. When we have guests we do not use the back yard at all for your privacy.
The space
Fireside Haven is designed for those who appreciate a simple, laid-back atmosphere. The cozy interior, featuring an electric fireplace, creates a warm, inviting space. The attached porch, with a separate seating area, is great for unwinding under the twinkling lights. With Trout Lake just across the road, you can enjoy the beauty of nature right at your doorstep—perfect for leisurely walks and outdoor activities.
Fireside Haven combines nature with the essentials for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen includes a two-burner induction stove top, Nespresso coffee maker, large toaster oven, fridge, freezer, and all necessary utensils and cookware. The queen bed with blackout curtains provides privacy and a good night's sleep, and the bathroom includes a shower and toilet for your convenience. We also provide Wi-Fi and air conditioning to keep you connected and comfortable during your stay.
We’re located close to some of North Bay’s best spots, including Average Joe’s Patio and Eatery, The Green Store (with delicious ice cream and fudge), and TJ’s Snack Shack. For a unique bite, the Indian Food Stand, located by Spyke’s Gas Bar across the highway, is a hidden gem worth exploring.
However, please keep in mind that Fireside Haven is not a luxury getaway—it's a cozy space that offers a camping-like experience with the added comforts of a home away from home. If you’re looking for a laid-back escape that lets you reconnect with nature without sacrificing basic amenities, this is the perfect spot for you.

Guests are welcome to use the firepit area, the private deck. They are also across the street from the marina that has plenty to see and do. They can ensure street food, premium ice cream and also souvenirs from the Green Store.
We ask that if you should need assistance with fire starting that you communicate that upon requesting our lovely Fireside Haven. We aren't always here, as we want to give you privacy to enjoy. We wouldn't want you to do without. We can let you know if we are able to upon your booking

Please remove all garbage - large green garbage bags under the sink. There is a shed at the end of the driveway to put your garbage bag.
