This spacious suite offers a large bed-sitting area boasting an adjustable king size bed for comfort and black-out curtains to ensure a good rest at the end of a busy day of exploring or working. Though located on the main street, evening traffic is minimal. The full kitchen is stocked with items necessary to prepare a simple or elaborate meal. The dining table has room for friends to join you while you reminisce on the days adventures. Your bathroom has cleaning basics provided.

The Kwik-Way convenience store, restaurants (Sherri's Diner and The Red Canoe), and The Guardian Drug Store are all with in easy walking distance. Everything in the village is with in walking distance, but those less inclined to exercise may prefer to drive to the LCBO, Freshmart, South River-Machar Arena, Tom Thompson Park, or the library.

Welcome to the River Haus located on a quiet private drive in the city! Your apartment has a separate entrance and includes the full upstairs - private dining, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, deck and hot tub. We have a cot available upon request.

The kitchen is stocked with all appliances, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, coffee, tea and condiments. As we use the space when not rented, you will find the pantry full and it is yours to use! We are happy to provide you with free breakfast staples as well. The outdoor bbq centre is available too. Propane is included.

The River Haus is three minutes from Hwy 11, Lakeshore exit - yet in its own little piece of country heaven on the historic Lavase River. In fact the house is on a small private road of only four houses and it’s super quiet!

You can pop a kayak or canoe right in the river and paddle 2kms to Lake Nipissing. We have a canoe and kayaks, life jackets etc, you may borrow, at your own risk.

There are three boat launches near by for larger boats and plenty of parking here for trailers etc.

Our small private boat launch and full dock is completed.

If you are more into snowmobiling, we are close the official trail. You can leave from the back yard and follow the Lavase River to Lake Nipissing or ride around the corner to the trail system.

Cross country skiing or snowshoeing? Perfect location.

No matter what time of year, be prepared to see a variety of wildlife.

We are also a short walk to the Trans Canada trail. If you are an avid hiker, walk through North Bay or to Callander. Otherwise, just a beautiful walk. Or bring your bike!

Lakeview Loft is nestled into nature overlooking Lake Chebogan. This space has a cozy atmosphere with personal touches, perfect for any traveller. Whether you are looking for a relaxing getaway, a fishing trip, or a stopover in the area, we have you covered. Inside, you will find a cozy open concept loft with warm touched and a welcoming electric fireplace, kitchenette, living space, dining area, work area, three piece bathroom and studio bedroom. You will surrounded by beautiful nature views. Make marshmallows by your very own fire pit, go for a walk or bike ride, swim at the boat launch, paddle the lake or explore the local area . High speed WIFI, DVD Player, movies, books and board games are all supplied in the unit. Guests have their own private entrance with parking space for 2 cars (more available if needed).

*Please note guests do not have access to the main house, water front (hot tub, sauna, docks, etc.) as well as the host's backyard. There is a boat launch only 500m away to access the lake. Boat docking on host's dock is available upon request, additional fees may apply.

Other things to note
Bell and Telus have very limited service in this area. Rogers and Fido have strong service and are recommended.

We provide sheets, duvets and covers, pillows, towels, hand towels, face cloths, dish cloths, and tea towels for you to use during your stay.

Our unit is located in a quiet low rise building in a family friendly neighborhood. It is conveniently located with highways, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and beaches close by. We provide all linens including throw blankets, as well as some sugar, coffee, laundry soap, bounce sheets and toilet paper to get you started.
The unit has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a double bed, and a twin over twin bunkbed. This room also has a deck and chair for guests to utilize.
The bathroom has a tub/shower combo. Some extra towels, face cloths and hand towels are left for our guests.
The roomy living room has 2 very comfortable, soft leather couches. We provide some decorative pillows and throw blankets for our guests. Enjoy relaxing watching the wall mounted, 42-inch flat screen T.V. We have Roku so guests can access and log into their streaming accounts.
There is a dining table to enjoy meals. There are 4 leather chairs, as well as two extra chairs that can be used to seat up to 6 people.
The spotless kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, dishes, glasses, pots/pans, etc. Extra tea towels and dish cloths are provided.
There is a coin operated washer/dryer located inside the building. It is located on the first floors. Instead of going up the stair to your left to access the unit, go through the door on the first floor. Once through the door, turn left and you'll see two doors, unit #1 is to the left and the laundry room is to the right. It is $2.50 per load and all money collected is donated to Community Living North Bay.
