Our heritage windows may be beautiful but they do not keep noise out well. If the hustle and bustle of downtown will keep you up please keep that in mind before booking.

The property is located in a mature, residential area within easy access to Hwy 400, and just minutes away from a beautiful Barrie Waterfront with miles of walking trails and bike paths leading to the marina and several beaches.

Raised Bungalow, there are 5 steps to get into the house; the apartment is located on the main floor, with all bedrooms and living spaces on the same floor. The apartment is self-contained and amenities within this unit are NOT shared. However, the driveway and entrance at the front of the house are shared and so are the foyer, staircase down, lower hallway and the laundry.

Myra's Cozy Place is close to Downtown, Barrie which is walking distance to restaurants, clubs, shops and banks. We are near to Kempenfelt Bay and Centennial Beach. We are two blocks away from the City Hall and McLaren Art Center.
The property is a walkout basement. The guests have a direct access to the backyard (we'll not give key to the guests for security reasons). They will be using the side door as their entrance door using a code.
We can also offer Level 2 EV charging upon request.

The space
Myra's Cozy Place has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a private living room with a Lazy Boy couch that can be turned into a comfortable pull out double bed, a full kitchen and private bathroom. The property is newly renovated. The furniture and fixtures are all new.
There is also a patio with swing where the guests can enjoy their day and it is in a downtown wooded area.
A parking space is available for the guests.

Guest access
The guests will be using the side door (Weiser Keyless Smart Lock) as their entrance door and they will be using a code for entry. There is a stairs going down to the apartment door and this time, the guests will be using a key to open the door. We will give them instructions where to find the key. The third door is the back door. It can be locked inside the unit but not outside as the host will not provide a key to the guests (for security reasons). The back door will be used only to go out to the patio. When not in use, please keep the door locked at all times for security purposes. When leaving the property, please use the side door.
Note: We will send the guests instructions on how to use the Weiser smart Lock.

Other things to note
The guests are required to send a valid ID upon booking. Only driver's license and passport are accepted. Kindly send also the license plate number of your car for identification purposes.

The host is living upstairs. Once in a while, we are using the stairs when we go to our laundry room and the guests have no access to this room.

The grill is not available for use.
Candles are not allowed inside the unit for safety purposes.
No partying and smoking inside the house.
Pets are not allowed.

I will be sending to the guests all the information they need for check in a day before they arrive.

Relax and enjoy this renovated century home ground level apartment. The unit is three blocks to Centennial Beach on Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe. It is only a 15 minute walk to restaurants and shops on Dunlop Street in historic downtown Barrie, and only a 20 minute walk to Allandale Waterfront GO station.

The spacious 2 bedroom, 4 bed (1 king, 2 twins that can be placed together -ie. king, or separated, and one queen sofa bed), 1 bath, full kitchen suite, also includes two parking spots

The space
You can enjoy the two large bedrooms, one with a king size bed, and the other with a day bed / trundle bed (two single mattresses) for flexibility. Each bedroom has a window air conditioner with a remote control.

The living room has a sofa that converts to a queen size bed. Bedding for the sofa bed can be found in the storage space under the lounger.

The unit has a full kitchen with a dishwasher and a refrigerator with ice and water through the door.

There is a gate leg table in the living / dining room which accommodates 2 as is. One side can be lifted to accommodate 4, or both sides lifted to accommodate 6. Extra dining chairs for the table can be found in the living room closet.

There is a small private patio for you to enjoy a coffee or a cocktail.

The unit also has an outside storage locker equipped with three beach chairs, two beach umbrellas and some beach toys.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire two bedroom apartment unit, with the exceptions of the area beyond the baby gate in the living room closet and a locked filing cabinet in the king bedroom closet. These spaces are used for extra linens, paint and supplies for the unit.

You will have access to the two southern most parking spots behind the house on the property, and you can enter the unit through the back door directly, which is very convenient from the parking lot.

You will also have access to a small outside storage locker by the back door equipped with beach items and the front entrance, which is through a common area shared with the upstairs long term tenant.

Other things to note
The other units of the fourplex are occupied by long term tenants. They will not appreciate and will report disrespectful behaviour, including excessive noise.

Window air conditioners with remote controls are installed in the front and back bedroom.

Both bedrooms and the living room and kitchen have lighted ceiling fans with remote controls, however the kitchen fan only operates as a fan with the light on.

All windows have Venetian blinds. The front bedroom’s blind is cordless. You simply pull it down or push it up to operate. The back door window also has a blind that is operated with the plastic lever to the right of the window.
