- "We really enjoyed our stay! Jonny is an easy host to communicate with and made sure we had all the information we needed. The listing and photos were representative of the cottage and property - though both indoors and out is more spacious than they appear. The dock area is a great place to soak up some sun in the afternoon and the kids enjoyed the boats and lily pad. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen had all we needed and there were good board game and dvd collections in case of rainy days. Nice mix of sun and shade options outside. We had room to play badminton and volleyball on the front yard (non lake side). The gradual entry to the water was great for kayaks (provided) and the sups and canoe we brought. Also great for the dog and would be great for anyone with young kids. Our kids (10/12) had lots of fun but wished the water was deeper off the dock. Still, we wouldn’t hesitate to return and would highly recommend the property for those with young kids, seniors, and absolutely anyone who would enjoy fishing on the big, beautiful Lake Tomiko. This is a great spot for kids, parents and grandparents to relax and play together. Adventurers - we had a great canoe/SUP adventure up the nearby Tomiko river. So beautiful! A few easy lift-overs, most of which we paddled on the way downstream. We made it to the foot of a series of rapids that would make a great picnic spot (leave no trace!) Saw MANY beavers, two huge snapping turtles, and some deer and wolf tracks."

The wonderful four-season windowed+screened front porch is a great spot to spend an early morning or late evening in the warmer months.

The galley kitchen has been updated and is completely equipped with everything you'll require to cook and entertain during your stay, down to the spices in the cupboard and the ample storage for your own pantry goods. The dining table comfortably seats 4 directly off the kitchen.

The home is on an artisan well, which has a UV filter and is drinkable. A Brita water dispenser is available for your use in the fridge. The home is equipped with a natural gas furnace, and central air conditioning. In-home Washer and Dryer are also available for extended stays.

Outside the yard is level. A BBQ has been provided on the front deck for your use and a brick patio with chairs, bonfire pit and picnic table can be found outback.

Yard games are available in the sunroom for your use.

I assumed the beach was at the end of the street but that’s private property and you have to walk over to the next street to access a public beach. Gorgeous pine cottage and separate pine cabin on Wolfe Lake, 3 hours north Toronto and 30min south of North Bay, with over 600 feet of lakefront. Equipped with 3 bedrooms main cottage with 2 full bathrooms, and furnished separate cabin with additional double bunk bed. With over 600 feet of very private waterfront, no immediate neighbours, there are lots of options. Hang out on one of the docks, chill on the beach, hang out on the water front deck, in the beautiful gazebo, or just unwind in one of the hammocks. The lake also has fantastic fishing for pickerel and small mouth bass. It is this unique and stunning property that brings visitors back every year. Escaping back to nature, enjoying the private serenity and wildlife is really what this cottage is all about.

This gorgeous and spacious cottage sits on a property surrounded by trees and looks down a small hill to a dock and sundeck right on the lake. You can dock your boat and sea-doos or just spend time jumping or fishing off the dock and soaking up the rays on the lakeside deck. You will be visited by families of ducks during the day and in the evening can build a campfire and enjoy the quiet. This cottage can accommodate 2 families with privacy or has plenty of room for a group of friends to create amazing memories. It has a full kitchen, 1 full bathroom and second bathroom with a roomy shower, along with all the extras you could need like sunroom, bbq, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

There is a free boat launch 5 minutes up the road. The town of Astorville
has a perfect little grocery store where you can get your groceries, ice, cocktails, beer, gas, movies etc. Within 20 minutes you can be in North Bay or 30 minutes to the kiosk in Algonquin Park.

Spending time on Lake Nosbonsing will feed your soul and give you long lasting memories like it does our family and will leave you wanting one more day.

- "The property has a lot of great amenities. The dock is beautiful and the beach is nice too. The view is lovely as well. Cabins are good, basic but have the necessities. Beds are very comfortable. The Vrbo listing does not provide a lot of detail. Signing a contract will be required with many additional stipulations. Firewood must be purchased on site at a cost of $13.50 per small bag. Communication with owners could have been better. Poor communication led to a very unprofessional outburst by owner in the last day which left a very bad taste."

As you make your way up the quarter mile driveway, you will notice it is shared partway and then divides into two private drives. Please stay to the left all the way. Keep your eyes open, on your left hand side, you may often see the many deer, ducks, or swans that visit our pond. As a caution, drive slowly at dusk as there are plenty of deer in the area.

Upon arriving at Grandview, you will be welcomed by our sandy recreation area for hours of badminton, volleyball, and horseshoes along with a grassy area for ring toss and other family outdoor games. Overlooking the bay is a large fire pit with a fantastic view, plenty of seating, and firesticks for hotdogs and smores. There is also a multi person tree swing, outdoor eating area, BBQ and more.

Entering the cottage, you will be immediately drawn to the vast expanse of windows showcasing our grand view. On your way to explore, you will be forgiven for passing by the newly renovated bathroom with its granite vessel sink and luxury pressure-balanced shower panel featuring a rain shower head, waterfall head, hand held attachment, and 5 body jets. If a soaking bath is more your scene, there is a second bathroom with a beautiful marble sink, wooden bench, and deep soaking tub.

The kitchen is large, bright, and well equipped to cook a variety of meals. from quick and convenient to elegant and gourmet. Enjoy your culinary efforts in the large dining room which boasts a large 8 person harvest table and spectacular views of both the lake and the bay. Off the dining room and primary bedroom, there are sliding doors onto the expansive deck which runs the length of the cottage. Enjoy a cocktail stretched out on the lounge chairs or be more social on the rattan outdoor living room set....or both, the choice is yours.

The vast great room offers panoramic views of the lake and bay. The wall of windows ensures you can sit comfortably in one of the two reclining sofas or either of the reclining chairs and watch the renowned Lake Nipissing sunsets. Once the sun sets, pull up the leg rests and watch satellite tv, stream a movie on the 75 inch smart flat screen, or open up the drawers underneath and discover the array of cards,dice, puzzles, and board games.

All the bedrooms feature new luxury hybrid mattresses, new crisp white linens, plenty of pillows, plush duvets, quilts, and remote controlled ceiling fans. The primary bedroom features a king size bed with storage, flat screen tv, workstation/makeup prep, and private deck access. Lying in bed you can watch the hummingbirds fight over sweet nectar and if you are an early riser, watch the sunrise from the luxury of bed. The corner bedroom features two queen beds and a generous size closet. The third bedroom offers more flexibility with 2 XL twin beds to comfortably fit an adult in each or use the conversion kit to convert into a second king size bed.

Having the "grandest view" on the lake comes with some compromises. This means unfortunately our lot isn't level, there are drop offs at various points on the property. The walk down to the lake involves a steeper gravel drive and then some stairs to reach the waterfront, but don't worry, there is no surcharge for the cardio workout coming back up. Please pack appropriate shoes knowing the terrain. Down at the waterfront, there is plenty of room for your boats and PWC, along with the canoe, paddle boat, and kayak that comes with the cottage. There are some life jackets and safety kits in the dock shed however there are no guarantees on size and fit. Callander has two free public boat launches, beaches, parks, and splashpads just minutes away for your convenience.

Given the terrain of the property, ranging from the ponds, valleys, drop offs, and of course the lake, children must be supervised at all times and unfortunately it is not the property for those having accessibility concerns and/or issues.

-breaker for water pump and water heater will be OFF
-breaker panel is in the cupboard in 2nd small bedroom (lift the cabinet door up and use the plastic latch to open the electrical panel, then turn on the breakers labeled "water heater" and "well pump" which are marked with green tape)
-breaker for baseboard heaters will be on and heaters on low/medium (turn them up to warm up as needed)
-please turn the breakers for the water heater and well pump OFF before you leave
-please leave both baseboard heaters on medium before you leave (to prevent frozen pipes)
-instructions for fireplace are taped to the wall near the fireplace
-let the indoor fireplace die down before going to bed or it will be too hot for sleeping, especially in the loft area

Things to bring:
-drinking water (cottage is on a well so it is fine for showering and cooking but we don’t drink it); there is a water cooler that will fit any standard water jug
-firewood (we cannot guarantee firewood will be available; wood can be found around the property but we advise guests to bring some; wood can be purchased at the Eagle Lake Country Store which is 25 mins away)
-bed linens like sheets (queen x 1, twin x 4), pillows and pillow cases (each bed has a duvet with duvet cover on it)
-bath towels, beach towels, hand towels, dish cloths, tea towels, towels for wiping dog paws
-dog bed/blanket if you are bringing dog
-toilet paper

-boots or closed toe shoes (some areas can get very muddy/sinking if there is recent rain

-the main dock is in the water from beginning of June to mid-October (if you visit the cottage late-October to May the dock will NOT be in the water for these months)
-sections of the driveway are on an incline, so it is recommended to park at the top of the driveway in the winter months, especially if you do not have snow tires or 4 wheel drive
-kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc.
-garbage, recycle and kitchen bags are in the storage/water closet
-garbage/recycling *MUST* be taken home as we haven’t gotten the card yet for bringing garbage to the local dump
-BBQ lighters are in the red container beside fireplace, and in the white cabinet beside the front door there is a tin with matches
-full size propane BBQ (propane provided) and full size charcoal BBQ (bring charcoal) are available
-closest grocery store is in Sundridge or South River
-Eagle Lake (25 mins away) offers both Summer and Winter recreation, and also has a General Store

The space
Our lake house is located off of Hwy 11 in the small community of Callander, Only 3 hrs away from Toronto, 1 hr 40mins from Parry Sound and 30 mins from North Bay, central to everything cottage country has to offer!

There are 3 Bedrooms; 1 on the main floor (Queen bed) , 2 on the upper level (Master: Queen Bed & 2nd Room: 1 Double Bunk bed) as well as a a bunk room in the basement ( 2 Queens beds), and can accommodate 8-12 guests.

A wood burning stove will keep you cozy on chilly nights

A child-friendly Sandy beach for all to enjoy!

Guest access
You will be provided with a smart lock code to access the property prior to your arrival

You will have access to the full house with the exception of storage areas in the basement and the garage
Other things to note
- Please leave the property as you have found it
- Absolutely no smoking inside and do not leave cigarette butts on the property
- UV water filtration system provides all water to the house
