The property itself was in disrepair, and the advertised amenities (hot water, Wi-Fi, and activities like ATVs and cycling) were all nonexistent. To make things worse, the husband owner was unhelpful and offered no solutions when we raised our concerns. While the wife was friendly, it wasn't enough to salvage a frustrating stay. Look elsewhere for a relaxing and well-equipped vacation rental. "

Additionally, nearby Antoine Mountain Ski Hill (Mattawa) is just a 30-minute drive.

Our cottage is accessed via a well-maintained private road with some hills. In the winter, conditions can be snowy or icy at times. We recommend that guests be prepared for typical winter driving in snowy areas and use appropriate caution when traveling.

- "The cottage is beautiful and there was lots of space for everybody. There was lots of space outside for kids to run around and play and lots of seating provided by the fire pit. We had a great time and would definitely come back again. I would not describe the beach area as sandy. There are quite a few weeds. If your kids are old enough to swim out past the weeds the lake is nice or if you are just launching a canoe or paddleboard its fine but it is not ideal for young children to go swimming."

Beautiful waterfront log cottage built from logs and stone from around the Lake Talon. This four bedrooms with 1.5 baths this amazing property that boasts year round fun. In the summer play on the lily pad or take out one of our watercraft (SUP, 2 adult kayaks, 2 children’s kayaks, canoe) or roast marshmallows down at the waterfront fire pit. Watch the amazing sunsets on our permanent pier and at night sit in the screened in porch while listening to the loons call.
In the winter, cross country ski or snow shoe (shoes available) on the lake trail or try some ice fishing. If you are a down hill skier, Mount Antoine is 25 minutes away. Come back and relax in front of a roaring fire in the beautifully appointed living room.
Hikers will enjoy the trails at Samuel de la Champlain Provincial Park or Au Claire Conservation Area. Rent a boat from Lake Talon Marina on 5 minutes down the lake.
