Spend time with family or friends on a large stunning 4000 sq ft waterfront property with 5 + 2 bedrooms located on the Sturgeon River just minutes, via boat, from the mouth of Lake Nipissing and a short 25 minute drive to North Bay.

Visit the Sturgeon River House Museum adjacent to the property. Bring your boat and partake in the phenomenal fishing that awaits you at the mouth of the river or on the lake.

This spacious lodge is located directly on the Sturgeon River with plenty of living area to enjoy inside and out.

Relax and unwind while overlooking the river. For your enjoyment there is plenty of outdoor seating and comfortable furniture on the main deck or down at the dock.

Internet is provided but due to the remote location reliability is not guaranteed. It’s an easy 4 hour drive from the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) and is the perfect place to get out of the city and enjoy nature.

A canoe, 2 kayaks, one paddle board, a fun mat and other water toys are available for your use. Should you wish to bring your own boat, there is a boat launch (for a fee) next door at the museum and plenty of boat parking on the property.

For the fishing enthusiast, Lake Nipissing, the 3rd largest lake entirely in Ontario, has some of the best fishing around including pickerel (walleye), smallmouth bass, muskie, and northern pike.

If heading out on the lake is not in your plans, wander over to the Sturgeon River House Museum to learn about the cultural and natural heritage of the Municipality of West Nipissing. The Museum presents the fur trade era from 1623 to 1879 and pioneer life in West Nipissing between 1878 and 1939.

Directly cross the road is the Theodore Fouriezos Wetland Trail. This land was donated by the family of the original owners of the Riviera Lodge. 3.2km of low impact trails are a mixture of wood chip covered paths and boardwalks. The trails feature a host of special interest stations, a bird viewing platform and a viewing platform that overlooks Cache Bay. Within the entire system, four wetland types are found: bog, fen, swamp, and marsh. The variety and abundance of flora and fauna are indicative of the numerous ecosystems and habitats, which are sustained by these wetlands.

Take a drive into town to check out the rivalry chip stands or the bakery featuring some local favourites such as sugar pie.

The property is pet friendly so pets are welcomed with prior approval and a small fee to help cover additional costs.

There is one 50" Smart TV on the property for your enjoyment. You are welcome to log in to your Netflix or Disney + accounts or watch the free internet channels that are available.

There is plenty of space between this property and neighbours giving you privacy. We do, however, ask that you be respectful and not make excessive noise that will cause a disturbance such as loud music, backyard gatherings, yelling, shouting, etc... Also, fireworks are prohibited on the premises at all times. There is a Renter's Code of Conduct for the short term rental. Guests booking the property will be required to complete the form which outlines these policies.

Please note, we only sleep 14 in beds. We do consider taking additional guests for a reasonable fee. Please inquire on the total number of guests and we can advise on options and pricing.

Welcome to our cozy, tastefully decorated Cottage. Located on beautiful Lake Nipissing near Lavigne with 170 feet of shoreline. The flat terrain allows for easy access to the 2 beaches on the property.

The Cottage consists of 3 bedrooms, with main bedroom deck with lake view, fully equipped kitchen, living room and complete bathroom. There is a small toilet only bathroom on the second floor as well. The cozy cottage decor provides a warm and relaxing environment.

Beautiful walking trails just up the road , and only a 5 minute drive to Lavigne which has a grocery/convenience store, LCBO and Lavigne tavern with great pizza and live music.

The kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware, microwave, Keurig, kettle, toaster, blender, k cups, tea. Cottage dining table has 5 chairs with 2 additional available on site.

Living room - Has 2 love seats. Wood stove with free kindling, wood and fire starters. Amazon Fire Stick with Netflix, Disney Plus, Prime and a BluRay DVD player.

Bedroom #1 (Main)- Queen sized bed with deck with amazing lake view, 2 end tables, lamp lighting, and 3 large dressers.

Exterior - (Front) Cottage has deck out front with patio furniture.

Pool- In the summer of 2021, a 18-ft above ground pool with pool heater was put in for swimming. Has great views of the lake. The lake is shallow and some areas have weeds. The pool is a great place to cool off in the summer.

Exterior (Rear) - Mud room door exits under a canopy which allows for easy packing and unpacking.

New water system was put in Summer of 2021.

Propane BBQ is available for use.

Lake Area - Fire pit. Fires must be kept small in size.

Dock Area - Two Muskoka chairs with side table.

Outdoor games such as Corn Hole and Ball Toss are within pool shed.

Cottage itself has space for many parking spots.

Property has a short shared laneway with neighbouring Rainville Cedar Cottages. Which must never be obstructed.

The next door Rainville Cedar Cottages has additional cottages and rents out a variety of boats.

Lavigne Tavern is 5 minutes away which has a grocery/convenience store, LCBO and Lavigne tavern with great pizza and live music.

Verner is 10 minutes away with a grocery store, hardware store and restaurant called Le Fromage.

Sturgeon Falls is a 25 minute drive and offers restaurants, hardware store and groceries.

The cities of North Bay and Sudbury are 60 minutes away.

The main private beach was really the highlight - this was the best beach and swimming we've had at a cottage (and we have rented a few different spots around Ontario). The water was calm, clean and warm. We enjoyed exploring and hiking parts of the island. It seems to be a great fishing spot, however we were unlucky in that department. The hosts were absolutely amazing, providing us with everything we could need and being very hospitable and accommodating. We would definitely recommend it and would rent again. I think that if we had had our own watercraft, it would have enhanced the exploring experience for us, but other than that, it was a perfectly wonderful experience. Thank you!"

The Vrbo listing does not provide a lot of detail. Signing a contract will be required with many additional stipulations. Firewood must be purchased on site at a cost of $13.50 per small bag. Communication with owners could have been better. Poor communication led to a very unprofessional outburst by owner in the last day which left a very bad taste."

Beautiful 4 season cottage perched on the gorgeous Bain Lake (Also known as Clear Lake) in West Nipissing. This is a quiet lake, great for fishing, water sports or just relaxing and enjoying the view. Opposite of lake-side is crown land, with wonderful trails for hiking, ATVing, snowmobiling, etc. This is truly a northern Ontario escape. The cottage comes equipped with bedding, kitchen utensils, cooking supplies, barbecue (excludes propane) and wifi. TV has ROKO for renters to access their favourite programs (Netflix, Prime, etc) through their personal accounts. Laundry machine on site with outdoor clothes line to hang clothes dry.

This cottage sleeps a total of 10 people comfortably. There is a fire-pit overlooking the beautiful lake. There is also a shared water trampoline for fun and relaxing on, a 5 person paddleboat and one youth sized kayak for guests to tour the lake on.

- "We stayed here for a week during July 2023. We have been renting cottages for over eight years and have finally found a cottage we want to return to. The cottage is so clean and no musty smell. The water is potable (Public Health Ontario Water Testing results posted in kitchen which I loved!). The cottage is very spacious, air conditioned and not cluttered. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the kitchen and sitting room. Bedrooms are a good size with comfortable mattresses. The grounds are nicely maintained and there is easy access to the dock. There is a nice patio table, bbq and yard games available. The lake is beautiful. It's very shallow with a hard sand/pebble bottom. This would be an ideal lake for families visiting with small children. In addition to the provided paddle boat there is a water trampoline available. We spent so much of our time on the water: swimming, kayaking and fishing. It's a 15 minute paddle to the public beach on the lake (also with a sandy bottom). We had daily successful fishing excursions as well. Cottage hosts are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We look forward to staying again in 2024."

It faces east which means you can enjoy your breakfast with lake view and sunshine. Enjoy water activities in summer and snow fun in winter. Bring your own kayak/canoes/boat. St Jean public boat launch is only 10-minute drive away. (Google St Jean Camp for the location). Bring your hammocks as we have a perfect spot on site. Ping pong table is provided in a large family room. Bring your laptop for workation as we have starlink on site(We don't guarantee service continuity and are not responsible for service interruption from Starlink though). Chez Courchesne grocery store (also sells wine and beers) and Lavigne Tavern(nice local restaurant with great pizza & live music) are only 12-minute drive away. There is a small LCBO in Verner town center which is 12-minute drive away where you also can find a bigger local grocery store and a restaurant called Le Fromage. Sturgeon Falls is 25-minute drive away with major stores like Metro, Nofrills and some great local restaurants. North Bay and Sudbury is one hour drive away. We provide complementary instant coffee and bagged tea (limit of one can of coffee and 12 tea bags during your stay) and basic cooking ingredients like salt, sugar, vinegar but guests are strongly recommended bring their own. Bring your swim wares. We have a quiet public sandy beach which is 7-minute walk away from the cottage. Weekly renters are provided with one free kayak to use only between May 15 and Oct 15. One free tank of propane is provided to weekly renters only. If you see a chocolate lab or husky running towards you, don't be scared. They are my neighbors' dogs and are very people friendly. Unfortunately, we have a no pet policy in our cottage. The cottage's water comes from a well and is perfectly drinkable. Feel free to bring your own bottled water. Please practice conservation on water as it is different from water you get from municipal facilities. You might experience water run out if you leave the tap on too long or take long showers. This is a family cottage and absolutely no parties are allowed; Due to covid, you need to bring your own sheet sets, pillows, sleeping bags, hand& bath towels, soap, toilet papers and other personal hygiene items. Cottage renting as cleaned check in & cleaned check out condition. You are required to take away your garbage as there is no municipal service to the property. Only" garbage "you can leave on site is the kitchen/food waste where we have a big green bin on site for you to use and we will take care of the disposal. Take your other garbage with you like cans, bottles, carboard, etc. Rate includes 10 guests. Maximum of two additional guests are allowed and each additional guest has to pay $50 per night.
Basement, washer & dryer, garage, storage, firewood shed, trailer, and boat house are all off limits. Bring your own firewood for campfire or buy it from my next-door neighbor. $500 security deposit is required on booking to cover damages to the property and extra cleaning cost. Examples for extra cleaning includes dirty dishes/utensils left in kitchen, garbage left in and around premises, garbage bin in toilets not cleared, etc. A minimum cleaning charge of $100 will be deducted from security deposit as a result. Owner reserves right to verify main renter's ID on check in to make sure minimum age requirement (25 years or above) is met.

Better than a tiny house! Rest your head in our spacious 4 bedroom Woodpecker Cottage with amazing sunrise and sunset views of Lake Nipissing. With private shaded areas to relax during your stay, this is the perfect cottage for larger groups! **Sorry, no pets** This cottage has 4 bedrooms, with 2 queen size beds and 4 single beds (pushed together creates a queen size). A full kitchen area complete with fridge, stove and all kitchen amenities needed for your stay. The four piece bath contains a full size tub and shower. All *starter* bedding and towels are provided. Please, bring your own bedding and pillows. At GraceLand, we also provide *starter* necessities such as, hand and dish soap, bath towels, dish cloths and toilet paper. Renters should bring their own beach towels, flashlights and other necessities needed
