Cottage bookings are Friday to Friday in July and August with 2 day bookings in the spring and fall. Cottage has 2 bedrooms that sleeps 7 and one 3 piece bathroom. Includes, with no additional fees a 16 ft canoe, two sea kayaks, a junior kayak, standup paddle board, life jackets, hammock, dock, boat mooring anchor, 3 bicycle's, BBQ and propane, bonfire pit with wood, chairs, pick nick table and games room with ping pong and darts, etc.
One bedroom with a queen bed and second in a large long room with three double beds and a upper twin bunk bed. Living room has an excellent view of the lake with air tight wood stove on a stone hearth, electric base board heat throughout.
Games room is in one bay of the garage.
The west side of the lake is usually calm with prevailing westerly winds blowing off shore, great paddling since located in the bay between the Bonnechere and Sherwood rivers.

Located in Killaloe Station, 18 miles from Bonnechere Provincial Park, Lakepoint Cottage Resort has accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking, a terrace and water sports facilities. 22 miles from bonnechere caves, the resort provides a private beach area and barbecue facilities. The resort has a sauna, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. At the resort, rooms come with a patio with a lake view. Rooms contain a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower, while certain rooms are equipped with a kitchen equipped with a fridge. At Lakepoint Cottage Resort, rooms include air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The accommodation has a playground. You can play pool and table tennis at Lakepoint Cottage Resort, and the area is popular for hiking and fishing. The nearest airport is Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport, 100 miles from the resort.

Our cottage is a quaint 2 bedroom bungalow with a sandy beachfront and beautiful sunsets! The cottage sleeps 5 in total. There is a hid-a-bed couch should you want to add 2 guests. There is one full piece bath, an eat-in kitchen, living room with floor to ceiling fireplace and a screened in sun porch for lazing around and enjoying a peaceful view of the lake. The cottage’s main water source comes from the lake, even though it is filtered I do not recommend you drink it therefore, there is a water cooler provided for drinking, washing/rinsing purposes (2 empty jugs are supplied and can be exchanged in local town for new full jugs) a stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, coffee maker with filters, and a Tassimo machine (Coffee pods not supplied), a toaster, TV with DVD/VCR player and a selection of children's and Adult PG movies. Outdoor facilities include a propane BBQ (an **empty tank (**last guests who filled/exchanged tank may not have used it all) is provided, and can be exchanged in local town for a full one), an outdoor swing, 3 kayaks, a paddleboat and a paddle board, clothes line and a fire pit (wood can be purchased in the local village of Cobden). All items are “use at your own risk”. Your boat(s) must be launched at the boat launch in Cobden as there is no boat access to the lake at the cottage. This peaceful location can offer great fishing, swimming, and kayaking. The sandy beachfront is perfect for sunbathing and just relaxing.

Note: **Blue Algae is a natural occurrence in lakes in Ontario and can bloom during an extended hot period over the summer. In the past the municipality said it has been sited approximately 5 km’s down the lake on the opposite side from our cottage, at the local beach/boat launch.

**Fire Bans may also be a normal occurrence during a extended hot/dry periods during the summer months according to the Cobden Fire Department.

**Weeds are a natural occurrence in a lake and may be more liberal around the shoreline if not disturbed by swimmers and boaters alike.

***Renters will be contacted by me and/or the authorities that govern these occurrences should it become unsafe to swim or have a camp fire during your stay.

***Cancellations, discounts, and/or refunds will not be accepted based on the fact that these restrictions MAY occur over the course of the summer, before or during your stay within the normal cancellation policy.

The local town of Cobden offers artisan shopping, a farmers market, a beach and a boat launch. There is white-water rafting in the area, along with water slides, mini golf, and zip-lining at Logos Land. The Oaks of Cobden golf course and the Whitetail Golf Club are close by also. The small city of Pembroke is a great place for dining out, shopping, including a drive-in theatre, and it is just a 1/2 hour drive.

Additionally, there is a fully furnished kitchen featuring granite countertops and a wine counter with hand-carved stools. Vacationing with the family? Loon Lodge features a renovated, heated Bunkie (additional weekly rental fee) with a screened in porch. Clean and prepare your fresh catch at the fish cleaning station complete with counter and utility sink, located just adjacent to the front entry, in the mudroom. We call it the “bowling alley”, you’ll see why!

Beautiful view of the Ottawa River, sunsets, dock for swimming, fishing and relaxation!! Large eat-in kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave, dishwasher and also has a washer and dryer just off the kitchen. Large bathroom on the main floor including large whirlpool tub, stand alone shower. A second 2 piece bathroom upstairs in the master bedroom and a third 3 piece bathroom in the basement. Large screen TV with satellite dish in the family room just off the kitchen. Internet and free wifi available in the cottage. Sit on the wrap around veranda at night with a nice glass of wine and watch the beautiful sunsets every night. Plenty to do with the kayak, canoe, paddle boats and long walks. Convenient store in Westmeath Village with fresh meat, milk, liquor and beer store on site and a gas station. Great place to relax and enjoy your holidays! The pond in the back of the house is not for swimming and parents should not let the children play without supervision.

Pine Haven cottage sits perched above Round Lake under the pine trees, with south west exposure, a stunning lake view, shallow water entry and crystal clear water. Water visibility is high and there are no weeds, as the lake is fed from adjacent Algonquin Park.

Pine Haven is perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The main cottage is one level. It has three bedrooms; two bedrooms each with queen beds, and a third bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. There is also a twin size folding cot with mattress.
The cottage has an open concept kitchen, dining and living area, with huge windows on all sides. The kitchen is stocked with essentials. The bright and airy living room includes a huge sectional sofa, and a smart TV with Roku for Netflix. There is good Wi-Fi.

Outdoors, a fire pit overlooks the lake, with beautiful views across the water. A large patio includes a propane BBQ (propane provided), picnic table and more chairs overlooking the water.

A few steps down from the main house, sits the 3-season boathouse, an open space for adults and/or the kids/teens to hangout. The boathouse includes a bar, dartboard and is well stocked with games for all ages. A deck overlooks the water with another incredible view to take in while enjoying your coffee or an evening drink while listening to the loons.

Walk a few more steps down to the water, and you’ll find a natural, rocky shoreline. Visibility is very high and there are no weeds. In the boathouse, we have a huge water mat, a canoe with paddles, 2 kayaks, and 2 inflatable SUPs for your enjoyment. We have various sizes of life jackets (adults, youth) but we recommend bringing your own to ensure the best fit for safety.

Spend your sunny days on the water, and your rainy days in the main cottage or the boat house watching movies or playing games. The list of things to do in the surrounding area is amazing. You are about a 5 minute drive from Foy Provincial Park, which has a beautiful sand beach. Bonnechere Provincial Park is just a 12 minute drive around the lake.

- Minimum weekly (FRIDAY to FRIDAY) rentals only in July and August.
- Fire pit outside can be enjoyed following local rules and regulations. (Wood is not provided for the fire pit but can be purchased from several nearby stores). The Wood stove inside the cottage is not in use at this time.
- The water is not drinkable. Please bring your own water. A water dispenser (that fits any 5 gal jug) is available for use. Refills are available at the local general store.
- Linens are provided. Please bring beach and bath towels.
- No more than 8 guests on the property.
- The cottage sleeps 6-7 adults comfortably but can accommodate 8 people (including a foldaway cot).
- We love our neighbours and they are very respectful of the fact that a cottage is meant for fun and relaxation; however, noise travels so please be mindful!
- There are about 25 steps from the main cottage down to the water. This may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.
- Water shoes are recommended as the shoreline is rocky.
- We are pet friendly (max 1 dog). Please bring something to cover the furniture and beds if your dog thinks they're human and is on the furniture.
- Use of Canoe, kayaks and SUPs is included in your stay! Please use AT YOUR OWN RISK. Use appropriate safety equipment supplied or bring your own. Users must be 16 years or older or accompanied by an adult.
- Those with mobility issues may have a harder time getting down to the water. There are approx. 30 steps down from the main house.
- 2 hours from Ottawa, and just under 4 hours from Toronto.

The space
Walk through the front door and the first thing you see is a beautiful wall to wall window that overlooks the lake. The view is magical! When you walk further into that great room, you have the feeling that you are almost outdoors while still enjoying the cozy comforts of the warm gas fireplace, oversized sectional and 70” TV.

You will find everything you need in the kitchen and more, including another beautiful view of the lake. A patio door gives you access to a 5x6 landing where you’ll find a propane griddle that will surely impress. On many occasions, we’ve cooked 30 eggs, 4 packs of bacon and a healthy serving of hashbrows all on the gridle at the same time. Why use 3 different pans when you can cook everything on 1 surface!

Electronics: 43”TV on lower level, 43”TV in master bedroom and 70”TV on main level both equipped with a Roku device ( includes Netflix, youtube, Disney +, Crave TV). DVD player. Starlink.

- "February's Family Day tradition of 4 families (related by being neighbours for 20 years). First year in 15 not in single cabins in the Madawaska Valley where we ski, icefish, sled, skate snowshoe, eat, drink, play boardgames and puzzling on top of the physical activities and mammoth meals. This house was the creme de la creme for all of that, and only one kitchen to clean. Host was super, didn't overload with details, if we couldn't work something out we were able to reach out for a quick answer. Clean, spacious, lots of private space if you wanted to read!
