Spring/Summer/Fall
We are located on Pigeon Lake, part of the Trent-Severn Waterway . Pigeon Lake is a favourite destination for fishing (especially Bass and Walleye). The water is the clearest in the spring and grows lots of vegetation during the summer months ideal for fishing. There is a close marina for boat launches and the quaint town of Bobcaygeon (12 mins away) for all your needs.
The lake bottom is soft mud. Guests can inquire about the availability of local beaches for a sandy beach experience.

- "No complaints. Bring your own beach towels and marshmallows. " - "Location was great but the cottage was so minimal it was uncomfortable. Nothing said “cozy” about this cottage. The bedding and linens were minimal (bedsheet too small, 1 thin blanket, no extra pillows, ultra thin towels, no dish cloths). The bathroom was very tiny and unappealing. The double bed was very hard and had a lot of dirt and spiders beside and under. No room for any comfortable chair or couch for relaxing. The kitchen area, with the stove jutting almost in front of the sink, was so tiny it was difficult to do any cooking. Coffee maker was a 2-cup unit. Dish soap was so watered down we had to use 1/4 of the bottle just to get suds. Overall, we were very glad to leave."

The property offers all the joys of Canadian cottage life. Curl up with a glass of wine in dinning & living area or on the deck overlooking two beautiful ponds with majestic views. The house has been decorated simply and with great care. Please treat it as a home away from home. You’re welcome to all areas of our property, enjoy swimming in the second pond and dine in the cabin right beside the dock & walking trail throughout the property.

There are three generous bedrooms in cottage: Three queen beds; one sofa bed and one L-shape sofa in living room which is comfortable as another bed. (Please use clean sheets provided in the wardrobe inside the bedroom closet.) A gorgeous laundry room is on the main floor. Cottage has two available bathrooms, master bedroom has a large stand-up shower plus a tub and a large vanity. Clean extra towels, tissues, toilet paper and soap are available in the bathroom in hallway beside the entrance door. Kitchen has all the amenities and all brand new cutlery, pots and pans.
Other things to note:
Please separate your garbage before disposing them in bins provided in kitchen and laundry room(recyclables) as our municipality has strict rules in effect.(Clear garbage bag program).
The property has a septic system, therefore no flushing anything down the toilets other than number 1 or 2. (No toilet paper either) :-)
The water at home is provided through a water treatment system out of a private well located on the property and is good for cooking etc.
The 2 spring-fed ponds are natural which include sand, rocks, stones, wood and water weeds. Bring water shoes if you are sensitive to those items touching your toes.
We have 3 security outdoor cameras around the building facing ponds, entrance door and deck.(They will be on during your stay.)

- "The property was absolutely stunning. Everything was easy to find and there was so much to do. The beds were all comfortable and rooms were spacious. Bathrooms were huge! Highly recommend this place to stay. Close to the main strip. The docks were great for sitting in the morning with plenty of space. Dock was big enough to dock a pontoon, although the rock shoal on both sides made it a little difficult. Nothing an experienced boater can’t do. Pool table was an unexpected surprise, new cues are needed. 10/10"

We are located on Pigeon Lake, part of the Trent-Severn Waterway . Pigeon Lake is a favourite destination for fishing (especially Bass and Walleye). The water is the clearest in the spring and grows lots of vegetation during the summer months ideal for fishing. There is a close marina for boat launches and the quaint town of Bobcaygeon (12 mins away) for all your needs.
The lake bottom is soft mud. Guests can inquire about the availability of local beaches for a sandy beach experience.

The space sleeps a maximum of 8 adults. We have three bedrooms.

Guests are kindly asked to take all garbage and recycling with them upon departure, as the local transfer station is for residents only. Waterfront is the prime section of Pigeon Lake with sandy bottom and a small beach for easy wade in access and good swimming. Gradual drop off of lake bottom. ....This is a great place to disconnect and get in touch with nature. Listen to the frogs, watch the fish jump, otters swimming, foxes and occasionally the beavers moving about. We also have a couple of deer that live on the Peninsula and and they are often seen at dusk and dawn.

Throughout the duration of your stay you can enjoy the use of a 4-person paddleboat (X1), a canoe (X1), one-person kayaks (X2) and stand-up paddleboards (x2). We are a 5-minute paddle (around the end of the Peninsula) to open waters of Little Bald Lake (we located in a little bay). Little Bald Lake is part of 5 connecting lakes (Big Bald Lake, Pigeon Lake, Upper Buckhorn Lake, and Chemong Lake). There is a public boat launch just moments from the cottage (free) and a local marina where you can rent a little boat for the day (just a quick 2 minute drive from our door). If you bring a boat, or rent a boat, there are endless opportunities for fishing, to go to the local jumping rock, or the sandbar (you can access all 5 lakes and highlights without going through any locks).

This cottage is perfectly located between two of the best cottage towns around; Bobcaygeon and Buckhorn - both 15-20 minute drive away. There is the Buckhorn Observatory, Whetung Ojibwa Centre, Bobcaygeon’s Bigley’s Clothing and Shoe Shop and much more – all just 15 minutes away. There is the Buckhorn Wildlife Festival, Gallery on the Lake, and other cultural events during the summer months. The Kawartha Country Winery is close by as are many restaurants where you can enjoy great food, stop by the grocery stores to have a stay at home meal or catch some fish and throw them on the barbeque! I have an extensive Guidebook for you to reference (both online and in the cottage itself).

We have 3 queen sized beds and 1 twin bed. The room with the twin bed is smaller and as such as a curtain across to ensure ample room around. All linens and indoor towels will be provided. Please note there is no maid service throughout the duration of your stay and there are no laundry facilities on site for use. Should you require laundry there is a laundry mat in Bobcaygeon (we do have a drying rack in the cottage though).

The property is extremely flat and level. The shoreline has been landscaped and is lined with armor stone (140ft). There is also a 5-foot set of stairs for walking into the water. There is a 30-foot dock for you to enjoy (24' flat + 6' ramp). If you have a boat you can use the boat launch and keep your boat at the cottage for the duration of your stay (we have room for two boats). And don't forget amazing nights by the fire pit. Our fire pit has large armor stone seating. We've also put a new deck on the cottage - a great place to sit and relax or have a meal. We also have a new table down by the water for those who really want to eat waterside :)

We are in a little bay so it is quiet and has very little boat traffic. This is great for relaxing as you don't get the traffic and still provides access to all five lakes without using a lock. But all guests should note that we are not on weed free water. There is weed free water a quick paddle away (just around the end of the peninsula). We keep a good portion of weeds cut in the summer (please see all photos as our lake view changes with the seasons as do lake water levels). The water is swimmable and safe, but it may not be for everyone as it is not entirely weed free. We use the water, lots of our guests use the water, but we understand that everyone has different comfort levels. Another thing that guests might not be familiar with are tannins. Tannins is the natural colouration of the water. This impacts the aesthetic only, - provides a darker colour.

Important things to note before booking. Please ensure you have read the following:
- This cottage is not located on crystal clear weed free water (please take note of all photos). In the summer, with the exception of the area we keep cut (along the entire shoreline [140'] and approx 40 feet out), this bay has lots of lily pads. Please review all photos for the seasonal lake view (there are less to no weeds in spring and fall). Lots of people swim and enjoy, but we realize it's not for everyone. For that reason we've got lots of water toys to keep you occupied on the water. This is not a sandy/rocky base. If you want crystal clear weed free water for swimming please do not book our cottage.
- There is Wi-Fi (~10-25mbps). There is no cable at this cottage. There is a TV with ports if you've done downloads and lots of DVDs (100+).
- The maximum occupancy of this property is six people at all times - there are no exceptions due to the septic system.
- 2 bedrooms on are the main level and 2 bedrooms on the lower level.
- The bathroom is located on the main level.
- In early spring/late fall it is likely that the dock is not in. We require the spring run off to go down before it can be put in and need to take it out before a freeze. Please ask before booking to make sure the dock is in if you require it.
- The sun room is 3-season. If booking in early spring/late fall it could too cold to use.

Guests have full use of the cottage. No shared spaces. There is ample parking (2 trucks or 4 cars). If you need to park a boat trailer with us for the duration of your stay please reach out. We do live next door, but unless you need us we respect your privacy (you may see us in passing but no different than having any other cottage owner next door).

Items we do not provide and are often needed:
- Children's lifejackets (we have 6 adult sized ones for your use but due to the specific sizing requirements for children and infants we cannot provide a sufficient fit).
- Beach towels

- Floating device (maybe a good choice for you if you are nervous about the water)
- Bug spray

Trent Lakes allows campfires after 6pm. These fires must be extinguished before going in for the evening. These rules apply everyday with the exception of times when there is a burn ban in effect. If there is a burn ban in effect we will let you know as soon as they make the notification. Any fires during this time may result in a fine, which will be passed on to you, the guest.

Note that In the event of a power outage water is not available as it is pumped from the lake. This is different than in the city. There is not a generator at this cottage. The barbeque can always be used to boil water and cook though. There is also a bucket (in the lower level near the dehumidifier) that can be used to get water from the lake to flush the toilets.

Our cottage comes equipped with a brand NEW washer and dryer in one of the bedrooms so that you can always keep your stuff clean as you choose.

All you have to do is bring yourself and your guests, and you are good to go. Actually a "complete escape" ;)

Furthermore, our wide and open deck area has stunning views of the water and surrounding forest area, a perfect location to enjoy a coffee and book in the morning or catch the incredible sunsets in the evening.

We provide a broad selection of board games at the cottage as well as the ability to be quiet and take much-needed time for yourself.

The cottage is located off a paved road with a small hilly driveway. Although the road is plowed during the winter months, winter conditions can be variable and access roads into the cottage will require all-wheel drive and snow tires in poor conditions.

Our kayaks and canoes are available during the summer months (usually starting after the May Long weekend until Thanksgiving weekend). During the winter months and spring, the hot tub comes in clutch!

The property is located off of highway 24 entering Bobcaygeon. There is a sweet little walking trail that goes all the way into town and takes you around 20 minutes. The property is about 1 acre and has two separate buildings for your use. The main cottage with three bedrooms, 2 bath and the bunkie with 1 queen bed, kitchenette and a bathroom. Both are facing the water and have stunning views.

Welcome to our beautifully renovated lakeside retreat! Fully updated in 2024, everything in the house is brand new and of the highest quality. This is the perfect getaway for families, couples, or friends looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of Sturgeon Lake.

Step outside and take advantage of our two private docks. The floating dock is ideal for swimming, sunbathing, or enjoying a cocktail on the water, while the stable dock can accommodate boats up to 26 feet. The nearly wrap-around porch offers plenty of outdoor seating, including a full-sized dining table and classic Muskoka chairs, ensuring you can enjoy the sun at any time of the day. After a long day on the water, unwind in the hot tub under the bright stars of Bobcaygeon or take a refreshing dip in the lake. For families with little ones, we also have a sandbox with toys right next to the main deck, as well as a trampoline for hours of fun!

Inside, the home features three comfortable bedrooms. The master suite is a true retreat with a luxurious king-size bed, a spacious en-suite bathroom with a lake-view bathtub, large shower, and double vanity, and a sliding door leading directly to the lakeside porch and hot tub—making it the perfect romantic escape. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a large closet, and a peaceful view of the gardens at the back of the house. The third bedroom features a single bed with a trundle, a spacious closet, and charming garden views. All bedrooms are equipped with blackout curtains for privacy and a restful sleep. A full bathroom with a large shower is shared between the second and third bedrooms.

It features a queen bed, kitchenette, and a full bathroom with a shower, offering a cozy retreat while still being close to the action. Whether you're traveling with extended family or another couple, this private space ensures comfort and convenience.

A 10-foot island makes for the perfect gathering space, while the dining table for 6-8 guests opens up into the 3-season porch. Enjoy a peaceful and relaxing time at our newly renovated 4 season cottage nestled between Big Bald and Little Bald Lake. The cottage features 4 large bedrooms with 2 new bathrooms and strong internet connection for the opportunity to work remotely. The cottage has a large deck, a new floating L shaped dock, a fire pit, and a BBQ, perfect for enjoying the summer weather and outside dining. Enjoy some of the best fishing in Kawartha, including Bass, Muskie, Pickerel and Perch.

The space
This 1400 sq foot cottage has comfortable indoor and outdoor living space.
The cottage has central heating and air conditioning to make sure your stay will be comfortable and enjoyable.
The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances, a spacious fridge and oven, as well as
small appliances including a toaster, blender, microwave and waffle maker for your use. If you prefer to enjoy tea or coffee, we have a teapot, a drip coffee maker, and a Nespresso with a milk frother (just bring your pods).
We provide all linens, pillowcases and bedding during your stay.
Outdoors we have a large deck and BBQ to enjoy outside dining all together. There's also a large firepit to roast marshmallows and make smores.
Take an afternoon nap on the hammock overlooking the lake. The cottage has a private dock where you can enjoy swimming. The cottage is great for families with little children and grandparents as it has flat access to the water.
There is a lot of green space to enjoy lawn games and we have installed professional volleyball/badminton nets, as well as a dart board, for you make sure you and your family will have fun during your stay.
