Guest Reviews:

- "Nice location near hiking trails! Perfect size house for a couples weekend. Only issue was the upstairs was really hot for sleeping." - "Everything was easy from start to finish. Super clean and a convenient location Owners promptly respond and would stay here again" - "The property was amazing. The time we spent there was great. The only problem I encountered was the upstairs bedroom was a little too hot to sleep in the first night so I slept on the couch because we weren't allowed to change it. Everything we needed was close by too so that was nice. We both enjoyed our stay."

A walkout takes you onto a wonderful deck where the views and breezes are second to none. The main bedroom and bath are on this level as well. The lower level include 2 bedrooms, a 3-piece bathroom and a family room (a perfect place to enjoy board games or a good book) and feature a walkout to one of the star attractions here, the hot tub!
A set of stairs takes you down to the waterfront. the entry to the water is shallow and it remains shallow out to beyond the dock, making it a spot for toddlers and non-swimmers to enjoy.

The local area offers shopping and history. A visit to the Wye Marsh Conservation Area is the choice of many. The towns of Penetanguishene and Midland are well known for their small town charm. Take in a concert at the Midland Cultural Centre (be sure to look for the Midland Murals), enjoy a round of golf at one of the local courses or take a boat ride with Miss Midland Cruises. On the other side of the lake, you will find Little Lake Park, a picturesque park with both natural and active settings. Home of the YMCA, Georgian Bay Rowing Club, North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre, Huronia Museum and Huron Ouendat Indian Village, Huron Ouendat Ossuary, Midland Curling Club, Midland Lawn Bowling Club, Skateboard Park, Civitan Ball Diamond, Beach Volleyball Courts, Tennis Courts, Dog Park, Basketball Court, Disc Golf, play equipment, boating (10hp and under only), prescribed burn and naturalized areas, community garden, horticultural displays, nature trails, picnic shelters, three separate washroom facilities, snack bar.

Guest Reviews:

- "Beautiful cottage!!!" - "The location was near all events that we had...and was perfect. We will be back!" - "I enjoyed the large space, and the cleanliness. They had everything you needed and that was important to me. The lookout on a lake was very special, peaceful, quiet, and large. The place was very close to stores and shopping. The garbage system needs to be more improved, the visitors cannot take their own garbage back home with them or collect it in large amounts to later take it to a dump and have to pay for it. This is very incorrect! Thank You "

    Trivia

The local town of Midland was founded in 1871, when the Midland Railway of Canada selected the sparsely populated community of Mundy's Bay as the new terminus for the Midland railway. At that time the Midland railway ran from Port Hope to Beaverton and the extended line to the town was completed by 1879. Settlers, attracted by the convenience of rail service, soon began to move into the area. The then village (incorporated in 1878) thrived, based on Georgian Bay shipping and the lumber and grain trades. Midland was Incorporated as a town in 1890. (Source - Wikipedia)
