In beautiful Southampton, Ontario, this 2+ bedroom four season cottage is just steps to the shores of Lake Huron at South Beach. The cottage is fully furnished including full kitchen, indoor/outdoor living and dining, patio table, BBQ, fire pit, air conditioning, laundry and wifi. Guests will need to bring their own linens and towels.

Inside the cottage there is sleeping for 5 with the following features:

**Please note - the listing changes based on the season. During the summer months (June-September), the Bunkie is open (a separate structure in the backyard) which houses 4 bunk beds to make sleeping space for 4 additional guests. In the winter months the cottage is advertised as sleeping room for 5 only as the Bunkie is not open.

There is a hiking trail down the street and a bike path that follows the shores of Lake Huron all the way to the Port Elgin beach.

This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. The space
The cottage comfortably sleeps eight guests in style. The master suite features an ensuite bathroom and a walk-in closet. The interior is tastefully decorated with modern furniture and a large TV for your entertainment.

Our modern kitchen boasts a gas stove and high-end appliances. For outdoor cooking enthusiasts, a gas BBQ is available for use. The house is air-conditioned and includes laundry facilities for your convenience. For those who need to work while away, we offer fast WiFi to keep you connected.

For beach lovers, we provide a paddle board for your enjoyment. And don't worry about packing beach gear - we've got you covered with beach chairs and towels for your comfort.

Our cozy cottage with tiny home vibes is located just steps away from the beautiful beach on Lake Huron! Just off of the main street of Southampton, you are a 1 minute walk from local restaurants, shops, brewery and anything else you may need.

Enjoy the unique charm of The Loft, with its open concept and welcoming space.

The Loft features a double bed, kitchenette, dining area and open living space with a full bathroom with walk-in shower

Southampton is unique in that it offers activities all year round.

It has been named the second best place to view sunsets in the world! During the spring and summer, you are a two minute walk to Lake Huron. Relax on the white, sandy beach and listen as the waves gently hit the shoreline. When the sun sets, take in the breathtaking views of the sun hitting the water and lighting up the beautiful sky

Fall calls for nearby apple picking and hiking the trails. Golf enthusiasts can take advantage of the close proximity to several golf courses.

In the winter months, cozy up in the living room next to our fireplace after snowshoeing or cross-country skiing on the rail trail. Or go skating along the trails at MacGregor Point Provincial Park

We DO NOT provide linens, bath towels, bedding or pillows. Guests are required to bring their own for the duration of their stay.

Steps from the charming main street and beautiful sandy beaches, our cottage will provide a cozy retreat after each day you spend in this picturesque town. Dine & shop locally and unwind while watching a world renowned sunset (second best in the world!), then play board games into the night by the fireplace. This vacation, choose to create long lasting memories at our cottage year after year.
The space
The cottage is an original log cabin, built over 80 years ago, nestled in a quiet street (you can see the water from the cottage!) It has since been renovated and updated, while keeping the log cabin charm, into a cozy chic getaway for our guests. The Keeper's Kottage is a 1-minute walk to the Main St, lined with great restaurants, a brewery, renowned bakery, boutique shops, spas, a museum and art galleries. Lake Huron is at the end of our street and the white sandy main beach is only 700m away. We provide bikes for easy transportation around town and to the beach.

The Keeper's Kottage is a modern ode to the famous Chantry Island lighthouse. It can accommodate up to 6 guests comfortably, boasts two large common spaces, one with a cozy gas fireplace. The backroom is set up perfectly for all guests to enjoy a movie, board games or a great dining experience together. Books, board games, cards and a Smart TV are all provided for your enjoyment. There are two bedrooms; the front room has a queen sized bed. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, with a twin on top and double bed on the bottom. All beds are complete with luxurious feather/down pillows. There is a pull-out sofa in the front common room as an additional double bed.

Working from cottage? We have high-speed internet and a dedicated work space in the secondary bedroom!

Our kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen essentials (pots, pans, dishware, wine glasses, drying dish rack, etc.) We also provided kitchen basics (salt, pepper, olive oil, etc.) Guests will find our bathroom also stocked with brand name shampoo, conditioner, body wash and soap. We do not provide bath or beach towels*

Our large lot will allow guests to enjoy all the outdoors have to offer. There is a fire pit area, BBQ and outdoor lounge space (in summer months) for our guests to enjoy. With a large beautiful maple tree and hammock for an afternoon siesta after the beach. The driveway fits 2-3 vehicles with extra parking on the street (except in the winter). An electric car charging station is steps away from the cottage, just at the end of our lane.

The Keeper's Kottage is also a great home base for exploring the Bruce Peninsula! Between Southampton and the neighbouring town, Port Elgin, there are extensive hiking and cycling trails - both in a beautiful fern gully forest and on the coastal trail of Lake Huron. Each are a great way to explore the area all year round. It's also a short distance to access the great Bruce Trail. From The Keeper's Kottage, you can take day trips to MacGregor Point which offers a lit skating trail, snowshoeing and cross country skiing in the winter. Also nearby is Tobermory and the Grotto, Lion's Head, Singing Sands, and of course, the Saugeen River.

Our Beach House is cozy and quiet, so you can experience ultimate relaxation! With full kitchen and open dining room area, you'll have space to spend a nice meal together. Cooking essentials are provided like salt, pepper, oil and a variety of seasonings. Wake up every morning and enjoy a fresh cup of coffee from the Keurig, also provided in the kitchen

Relax in the living room on our comfortable couches and check out the Smart TV with cable. You may log into Netflix, YouTube, Crave and Amazon Prime via the apps on the TV

The upstairs open concept bedroom features a solid Maple wood king size bed with its own ensuite. The ensuite has a walk-in shower and a bathtub. The main floor bedroom with queen bed makes it accessible for anyone with mobility issues and the main floor bathroom also has a walk-in shower

It has been named the second best place to view sunsets in the world! During the spring and summer, you are a two minute walk to Lake Huron. Relax on the white, sandy beach and listen as the waves gently hit the shoreline. When the sun sets, take in the breathtaking views of the sun light hitting the water and lighting up the beautiful sky

Fall calls for nearby apple picking and hiking the trails. Golf enthusiasts can take advantage of the close proximity to several golf courses.

In the winter months, cozy up in the living room next to our fireplace after snowshoeing or cross-country skiing on the rail trail. Or go skating along the trails at MacGregor Point Provincial Park

We DO NOT provide linens, bath towels, bedding or pillows. Guests are required to bring their own for the duration of their stay.

Introducing Surfhütte, our sweet house nestled beside the sands and dune grasses of Chantry Beach in Southampton, Ontario. Tucked in between a collection of vintage cottages and cedar trees, Surfhütte is a little slice of paradise on the shores of Lake Huron. We have a private dedicated easement right on to the beach and are steps from the tennis club, great coffee shops, bakery, beach playgrounds and everything else Southampton and the Bruce Peninsula has to offer!

The space
Surfhütte is situated just steps away from Chantry Beach in Southampton. Enjoy sunset views right from the couch, or take our dedicated easement path down to the boardwalk and beach. We have a fire pit with comfortable modern Muskoka chairs and other seating in our private front courtyard. Our side porch has an outdoor dining area and comfy Egg chair. Beautiful landscaping and flower boxes enhance the view and privacy. There is an outdoor shower with hot and cold water to wash off the sand when you come in from the beach. There are beach chairs, water noodles, boogie boards and sand toys for our guests to use. In the colder months you'll enjoy cozying up to our new gas fireplace in our living space while still enjoying the view. Watch family movies or catch up on your latest shows with our Apple TV that has all of the main apps including Netflix, Crave and Disney+ and more. MacGregor Point is only a short drive away and offers a lit skating trail, snowshoeing and cross country skiing. Closer to Surfhütte, Southampton connects to an extensive rail path system of trails which are a delight to explore year round.

Our cozy beach house has been completely renovated with lofted shiplapped ceilings and wood panelled walls and has been gorgeously decorated with an eclectic mix of new and vintage finds that make guests feel as though they are in a beach house in tropical locales. Enjoy our vinyl collection or bring your own to play on our record player. Books, magazines and puzzles are provided for your enjoyment. There is a children's library in the bunk room. If you need to work while you're away, we have excellent 1 gig dedicated internet and a work space in the primary bedroom.

Our brand new kitchen is well stocked and has high end appliances. There are 1 1/2 beautifully designed bathrooms with heated floors and one with a stacked washer/dryer combo. We offer three bedrooms, two with queen size beds and the third bedroom with twin bunk beds and a twin pull out trundle. There are built in drawers underneath the queen beds and storage boxes in the bunk bed room, plus plenty of baskets and wall hooks to stow away your belongings. We provide fresh linens, bath towels and beach towels for your convenience. We also have provided shampoo, body wash, kid's soap, laundry detergent, coffee, tea, condiments and other kitchen basics.

Why surfhütte? Surf shack, cabana de surf, surf hytte, surfmaja, hale nalu, surfhutte. A simple hut built from tin, wood, or other materials on a beach, an area of sand or stones beside the sea, used to store surfboards and gear, or just to get out of the sun for a cold drink.

Song birds in the morning and sunsets in the evening. Maybe some tennis; swimming and sandcastles; or golf in-between. This three bedroom plus den family cottage has a fully equipped kitchen; loads of toys; books and games; and washer and dryer. Situated on a large treed yard where you will enjoy dining al fresco and playing boules, badminton or croquet. Roast marshmallows in the fire pit while you are dazzled by the night sky. It is just a short walk to Southampton's pristine sandy beach or to High Street shops.
You can join the Southampton tennis club for a week or more where all ages can enjoy lessons, book one of the 15 courts for a game, and join evening events like round robins or cardio tennis that are all included in the very reasonable fees. The Southampton Art School has a variety of classes on offer. Foodies are always impressed with the excellent restaurants in town.
Several golf clubs and hiking and biking trails are close by.
