The front unit (the “Cabin”) is a newly built (2018) knotty pine paradise offering a main level bedroom, full bath, as well as a spacious open plan kitchen, living and dining area. The luxurious upstairs master loft offers incredible lake views and features a king size bed, 1/2 bath and seating area! The cabin leads out to a patio with outdoor dining and seating areas and walkway to the fire pit and second unit, the “Cottage”. The lakeside cottage is located in front of the knotty pine paradise and is tastefully decorated in a coastal beach theme. Although built in the 1950’s, and still offering the original charm, it has been completely renovated just this year with a brand new kitchen, featuring an exquisite oversized granite island with seating for 4, all new flooring, custom builtin beds in the upstairs sleeping loft, and updated bathroom. The living area has a walkout to the patio dining area and beach. Both units have brand new washer/ dryers. The spacious yard and large lakefront tree offers shade and a place for the kids to roam, a serene hammock for naps in the afternoon breeze and storage for the kayaks available for use by renters. The property is also just a short beach walk or kayak ride to Loosemore Rock, one of the areas famed Turnip Rocks. Lake Breeze Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage situated in the heart of downtown Port Austin. You are within walking distance from everything they have to offer.
The master bedroom has a queen sized bed and the 2nd bedroom has a full/twin bunk bed (sleeps 3) and a twin bed.
The kitchen is a fully stocked and ready to use with pots and pan, plates, bowls cups, utensils, coffee maker, toaster, microwave and more. It also has a dish washer! Other amenities include a washer/dryer, cable, internet and DVD player. You could bring or rent canoes/kayaks to enjoy the crystal clear waters of Lake Huron!!

This recently remodeled beauty sits on the shores of Lake Huron with a super sandy beach, facing west which brings the best sunsets in Michigan!.

Inside has been newly remodeled to include a brand new kitchen (cabinets and appliances) and full bath. Windows along every bit of the lakeside provide incredible views.

3 of the bedrooms each have a Queen Bed, there is also a Futon Couch that opens up into a double which allows for 8 to sleep if needed.

All amenities which you would find in the comfort of your own home are included, just bring yourselves and enjoy.

During your stay, there is also plenty to do and see between Port Austin and Caseville. Enjoy the weekly Farmers Market or Kayak to Turnip Rock or the Pinnebog River. Ongoing festivals like Cheeseburger or Porch Fest are a ton of fun. Hike through the dunes of Port Crescent State Park or enjoy the Dark Sky Preserve at night to see the dancing stars or maybe even the Northern Lights if you’re lucky.

The lot is 50 ft wide (as are most waterfronts in PA) with neighbors/decks on both side and unobstructed views of the lake. There are 2 parcels for this property,, it is very deep. We occupy the front road side lot from time to time.

A lovely three bedroom cottage with a family room, living/TV room on second floor, gas fireplace, basic cable, three decks, and walking distance to beach, Downtown, and restaurants.

One queen size bed in each of the three bedrooms with ceiling fans in each of the rooms. The living room on the second floor has a futon and a couch to sleep on. The family room on the first floor has a pull out couch with a full size bed.

Not geared for large parties or loud music, the cottage is perfect for quality time with loved ones and making family memories. A swing for a small child hangs from an old oak at water's edge.

An open book-swap shelf is available in the great room, along with cards, puzzles and games.

No air-conditioning, but a newly installed attic fan pulls hot air out of the house at the end of the day. With fans in every room, the lake steps away, steady breezes and ample room to spread out in the shade, it's the perfect place for relaxing with a cool drink. An electric wall heater is available in the great-room only for short term use of cool nights. Towels and linens are provided, along with a cozy blanket provided on each bed. Sweatshirts are recommended for cooler days.

A short wooded lane provides privacy from the road. Swimming is steps away as the property shares a boathouse deck and 140 ' of private lakefront with the neighboring property, also available by the same owner. The entrance drive serves both properties, with 4 dedicated parking spaces reserved for the Cottage. The top of the small hill is reserved for loading and unloading.

The property has extensive beach with the water easily accessible via a short stairway at the boathouse. Swimming is excellent. The beach size varies with changing lake levels. While the water is shallow and sandy near shore, caution is advised with higher waves, especially with small children.

The property lies within 5 miles of Port Austin, a quaint town offering a harbor of refuge, kayak rentals with waterway maps to beautiful turnip rock, 2 miniature golf courses, a delightful and adequately challenging 18 hole golf course, horseback riding, a destination farmer's market, historic Port Austin Reef Lighthouse, a laundromat, summer and fall family events, as well as unique shops and local eateries.

Within 2 miles lies Port Crescent State Park with its sweeping expanse of protected shoreline. The park encompasses the mouth of the Pinnebog River, a popular canoe and kayak destination, miles of sandy beach, hiking trails, a fishing pier on the river, bird viewing platforms, and in 2016 became one of Michigan's few registered Dark Park Preserves. A Dark Park Preserve is an area preserved to minimize night lights, allowing unusually clear viewing of the night sky.

Guests at the cottage are encouraged to keep lights low as the property is secluded and star-gazing from the lawn, boathouse and beach is truly exceptional. Small solar lights show location of the step to the boathouse deck and stairs to the beach.

Port Crescent State Park offers a shoreline campground and Day Use area with hiking trails, bird-watching, excellent swimming and beach strolling through undeveloped shoreline.

Tip of Thumb Canoe Rental offers canoeing on the Pinnebog River with the river's Lake Huron mouth as the destination of choice

The cottage is a perfect walking distance to the beach and everything else in town. It was clean and stocked with the necessities for cooking. We are a family of 6 with 4 teens so it was definitely small for us but it was cozy. We spent time outside and with the small space it made us reconnect in ways we haven’t in a long time. :) Communication with the Guest family was amazing. They were friendly and very accommodating. The cottage is on a property with 5 other cottages so it would be perfect for a large group to rent more cottages to vacation together. The backyard is a community space with a gas and charcoal grill, picnic tables and a fire pit. We had the space to ourselves since there were no other renters the week we stayed. outside was stocked with all you needed for cooking and the fire pit had wood. The kitchen was a little challenging to make meals for our large family bc of the size but we got creative and made it work. Port Austin Kayak is a fun place to check out and is walking distance from the cottage. Adventure Golf is a beautiful mini golf course just 10 min down the road on the way to Caseville. Grindstone general store is an awesome place for ice cream with giant scoops. 10 min drive out of town but worth it! Farmers market is on Saturdays. Overall we had a great time!"

- "Cabin 7 was great! Clean, comfortable, and with all" - "The cabin was beautiful. Very clean, well kept and had everything we needed. Our only complaint was that the futons were very uncomfortable to sleep on. The metal bars under the mattress of the futons caused a problem. We will rent this cabin again but we will bring a couple pieces of thick foam to put under the futon mattress at night. Our other suggestion would be a dresser or cabinet with drawers in the front room next to the tv. This would make it easy for anyone sleeping on the futons to store their things. Otherwise this cabin is a jem!"

Little Yellow Cottages consist of a block of six one and two bedroom cottages, located in Downtown Port Austin. They are perfect for those that desire activity and comfort. Across the street, you will find the Port Austin marina, beach, and pier, as well as Port Austin’s seasonal Farmer’s Market. The cottages themselves are ideal for both small groups requiring just one cottage, or larger groups needing more room, yet seeking the privacy afforded by the individual cottages.

Each of the Little Yellow Cottages feature a screened in porch with seating, a living room with TV & soft seating, a full kitchen (plates, bowls, utensils, pots/pans, etc.), air conditioning and/or heat, and a private bath with shower. Cottages are available in both one bedroom and two bedroom configurations and can accommodate up to six guests.

Outdoors you will find a fire pit, outdoor grills, and picnic tables and chairs. You are welcome to enjoy the space outback, as well as your own private patio with outdoor seating. You can purchase wood, charcoal, and other essentials for your outdoor fun just a few minutes from your cottage.
