3) AIR CONDITIONING: The property has a wall air conditioning unit. Note that it does NOT have central air conditioning.

4) NUMBER OF GUESTS: Please note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct.

Owned by an artist, this 2-1/2 acre wooded property is a perfect peaceful creative getaway! The 800 square foot Acorn Cottage is tucked in the shade approximately 60 feet from the waters edge. It offers a large carpeted bedroom with a king size temperpedic bed where you wake looking out the bay window at the foot of the bed to the sunrise shining! A pocket door separates the bedroom from the kitchenette where there is a small table for two, a closet stocked with kitchen essentials, a butcher block work surface with a drip coffee maker and toaster oven, a kitchenette with a microwave, two electric burners, sink and small undercounter fridge for beverages. Close by is another large full refrigerator for more cold storage. Off the kitchenette is the full bath with a corner shower, toilet and vanity sink. There are two cabins that share the beach, water toys, dock.... Each cabin has separate deck and fire pit.

Parking is very limited, especially in the winter. In the summer we can squeeze 4-5 cars in BOTH cabins. If you only rent one cabin then at most 2 vehicles. In the winter, may only have room for three vehicles (including trailers) for BOTH properties. It really depends on how much snow there is and how well the surrounding areas are plowed. There are empty lots nearby, park at your own risk.

Cabins are right next to boat launch, which you cannot park on. Very easy to launch boats or get to lake for snowmobiles...

All bedding is provided. Only hand and kitchen towels are provided, please bring your own bath and beach towels. Bath soap, shampoos not provided. Dish soap is provided.

Trailheads are located very close for snowmobiles and ORV's.

In the winter, perfect for snowmobiling, ice fishing, bike races on the lake.

We enjoyed local golf courses, tubing down the Au Sable, 20 minute day trips to Tawas and of course the Tawas Point Lighthouse. Spent many lovely nights on the spacious deck with all amenities for outdoor fun provided by Michelle and Mike; they have thought of it all!"

Welcome to the River Sweet Cottage located along the banks of the AuSable River in the heart of downtown Oscoda, MI. Our newly renovated cozy 2bdrm, 1 bath cottage is just a short distance from the beautiful beaches of Lake Huron. The River Sweet Cottage is a fully equipped, and well-maintained home with all the amenities to provide a memorable vacation. Coastal inspired décor surrounds you inside and out at the River Sweet cottage. New furniture, mattresses, tv’s, heat/AC, bathroom linens and bedding all provided. The comfort extends to the large partially covered deck with new furnishings, a large gas fire table to snuggle up too on the cooler evenings, solar lighting, gas grill and a picnic table. Boat parking is available along the seawall. For strong swimmers snorkeling is amazing right outside the cottage. With crystal clear water you can usually spot a fish or two swimming around. Check out unique shops, delicious restaurants, ice cream shops, and the beautiful downtown beach all within walking distance of the River Sweet cottage. Grab a book, challenge each other at a board game, explore our trails and parks or go outside for some cornhole! Local and state Snowmobile/ATV trails accessible from home. - "This home was very well appointed and located very close to town, right on the Au Sable river! We stayed here spring break/Easter weekend to do some fishing and get away and the best part of the trip was definitely this house. The weather didn't cooperate to allow our littles to get outside much (2 and 6 yo), but the home was cozy, stocked with board games, cards and puzzles, and smart TVs in both bedrooms and the living room. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have needed, including coffee which was great when we realized we forgot to bring some. Even spices, extra cleaning and paper products, and some pantry staples which is rarely the case with vacation rentals! The hosts were super kind and loaned us some extra fishing tackle for the kids, left us some tasty treats in the house to welcome us, and even left some sweet little Easter baskets for the kids on Easter morning! I'm so thoroughly impressed with how nice this home was and we definitely would stay here again!"

Located at the end of a no-outlet street, Cottage Cove is tucked away from traffic and noise. Enjoy the private beach or walk along Lake Huron shore to the Oscoda boardwalk and public park with plenty of activities for the kids: a splash pad, playground, skate park, and even more sugar-sand beach.

Stay connected with reliable, high speed internet throughout the entire property. When the weather's not cooperating, chill out inside with a movie on the smart HDTV or games at the table.

LOCATION

The rental cottage is located on a short, no-outlet street on Lake Huron and is a part of Cottage Cove by Hunger & Ransom. As close as we are the water, it’s less than a mile walk to the downtown area where you can grab dinner, get drinks, cool off with some ice cream and even watch a movie at the local theater.

River Road—a national scenic bypass—runs into downtown Oscoda and has numerous activities along it’s 19 mile length: including, the AuSable River Queen Boat Cruise (gorgeous during Autumn leaves season), canoeing/tubing launches and Lumberman’s Monument Park.

Tawas is a short 20 minute drive from the resort and boasts additional restaurants, activities, and shopping. Like Oscoda, you'll have your pick of weekend events every week during the summer.

With the Huron National Forest on Oscoda’s border, there are hundreds of outdoor activities within close range. Whether you’ve been coming to the area for a lifetime or this is your first trip, there’s always something new and exciting to do.

SHARED SPACES: This cottage is part of a shared property. Consequently, the outdoor space and beach are shared with other guests. We anticipate everyone to respect others' enjoyment. Rest assured, the interior of your cottage remains completely private and personal throughout your stay.

BEDDING/TOWELS: Bedding and towels are not included in this rental. Each mattress and the provided pillows are protected with waterproof, zippered covers. Don't forget to pack bed sheets, pillowcases and blankets in addition to bath, beach and hand towels.

DOG-FRIENDLY: Cottage Cove welcomes dogs. Even if you're not traveling with a pet, expect to see dogs in shared areas. Bear this in mind when booking, especially if you have allergies or plan to bring your dog. Dogs must be on 6ft leashes whenever outside the rental (including the beach), and owners must clean up after their pets immediately.

CLEANLINESS: We prioritize offering a clean environment for your vacation. Every appliance, surface, and fixture is thoroughly cleaned between stays. However, there are some points to note.

• We are pet-friendly, so a few stray hairs may evade our cleaning.

• Our spacious, circular driveway is a great playground for kids and provides a smooth walking surface. However, it can lead to oil from the asphalt being tracked into the cottage: especially, when guests walk barefoot from the beach. Despite our diligent cleaning efforts, the asphalt can sometimes leave marks on the cottage floors and bathtubs.

• With the beach comes sand, which we endeavor to remove completely. However, if we miss a few grains, rest assured they've been mopped, sprayed, or wiped clean.

• We make every effort to keep our upholstered furniture and carpets clean. However, due to the nature of rental properties and limited time during our rental season, some stains may not be completely removable. We appreciate your understanding.

• Some appliances might not appear spotless due to exterior rust or old paint jobs. We replace appliances as time and resources permit, and ensure they are cleaned between stays.

• Please note, these points are not meant to excuse substandard cleaning. If you ever feel our cleaning is insufficient, let us know immediately, and we'll rectify the situation.

HOT WATER: This cottage has a smaller water heater than you may be accustomed to at home. Prolonged or extremely hot showers might be challenging, especially in cold weather. Spacing out showers, dishwashing, and other hot water use usually solves the issue. If this poses a concern, consider booking one of our larger cottages with more substantial water heaters.

COASTAL LIVING CHALLENGES: Our vacation rental homes are located on Lake Huron's shore, close to the Huron National Forest. Given our location and the age of our properties, please be aware of the following.

• Ants and other insects may find their way into the cottage, despite regular pest control efforts. You can help by maintaining food cleanliness and immediately cleaning spills/crumbs.

• Rarely, mice may get past our precautions, especially during cooler weather. It's unlikely but worth considering when deciding to book.

• The location's humidity and higher water table might introduce unfamiliar smells. We assure you, however, that these scents don't indicate mold, and your health is our priority. Every rental is regularly inspected. During especially humid periods, you may find a dehumidifier in your rental.

ACCESSIBILITY: Our cottages are not handicap-accessible. Most doorways are narrow, and some spaces may present obstacles for those with mobility issues. Please review all photos to assess suitability before booking.

PROVIDED ITEMS: To simplify your packing, we supply essentials for your trip, but with certain limitations to stay competitive.

LOCATION

The rental cottage is located on a short, no-outlet street on Lake Huron and is a part of Cottage Cove by Hunger & Ransom. As close as we are the water, it’s less than a mile walk to the downtown area where you can grab dinner, get drinks, cool off with some ice cream and even watch a movie at the local theater.

River Road—a national scenic bypass—runs into downtown Oscoda and has numerous activities along it’s 19 mile length: including, the AuSable River Queen Boat Cruise (gorgeous during Autumn leaves season), canoeing/tubing launches and Lumberman’s Monument Park.

Tawas is a short 20 minute drive from the resort and boasts additional restaurants, activities, and shopping. Like Oscoda, you'll have your pick of weekend events every week during the summer.

With the Huron National Forest on Oscoda’s border, there are hundreds of outdoor activities within close range. Whether you’ve been coming to the area for a lifetime or this is your first trip, there’s always something new and exciting to do.

Enjoy a few days away on Michigan's sunrise side! This two-story cottage is located at the back of our property and has a large kitchen and dining area, a large living room, and a half bath on the first floor. The second floor has two bedrooms and a 3/4 bath. The cottage has AC in a master bedroom plus a whole house fan to circulate the air and keep things cool in the summer. In-floor heating keeps it cozy and warm in the winter.

- "This location is UNBELIEVABLE, literally right on Lake Huron. We walked out all weekend to enjoy the views. Space is small and rustic…feels like staying at my grandma’s cottage but WiFi worked great and there was cable on TV if we wanted to be inside. Bike path along road that went all the way to town. We had an unseasonably cold weekend but blankets and space heaters kept us cozy. Hosts were quick to respond to our one minor issue (coffee maker wasn’t in the unit, they brought one right over). There were two bedrooms but it seems like it might have been small for more than two adults. But DH and I were cozy and really enjoyed our stay! Thanks!!!"

Fun times to be had at this up-north beach house. Nice island themed cottage on a sandy beach. New 750 square foot deck built this year. Paddleboat, kayak and fish this great little lake or bring your toys. All-Sports lake right by the Sand Lake Trailhead. Two queen size beds, 2 queen size futons, one twin bed and plenty room for sleeping on the breezy back porch. Bonfire pit right on the beach. Kayaks, paddleboat, floaties and many chairs, cornhole boards sand toys all provided. 3 smart TV's.

Up-North lakefront cottage. This is a fun little beachy themed place great for families, couples, fishing and ATV riding. There is something for everyone.

Other things to note
Great little neighborhood right by the Sand Lake Trailhead. Little Island Lake is great for fishing, floating or kayaking or just sunning on our nice sandy spot. There is food and a cute corner store nearby and only 10 miles to downtown Tawas with lots of shopping and dining choices. Cottage has smart TV's in both bedrooms and living room. Bonfire pit, 2 kayaks, paddleboat, life vests, cornhole and sand toys, Camp Chef Griddle all provided for your use. No pets allowed and no smoking indoors. Thank you.

Located on all sports Sand Lake, with a private sandy beach, includes 4 kayaks, pedal boat, row boat, dock, fire pit, large deck with outdoor furniture and more. Dock available Memorial Day (maybe earlier) thru Labor Day (maybe later).

There are two cabins that share the beach, water toys, dock.... Each cabin has separate deck and fire pit.

Parking is very limited, especially in the winter. In the summer we can squeeze 4-5 cars in BOTH cabins. If you only rent one cabin then at most 2 vehicles. In the winter, may only have room for three vehicles (including trailers) for BOTH properties. It really depends on how much snow there is and how well the surrounding areas are plowed. There are empty lots nearby, park at your own risk.

Cabins are right next to boat launch, which you cannot park on, but you may be able to park on side, unless city tells you to move. Very easy to launch boats or get to lake for snowmobiles...

All bedding is provided. Only hand and kitchen towels are provided, please bring your own bath and beach towels. Bath soap, shampoos not provided. Dish soap is provided.

This cabin has a washer and dryer, please bring your own detergent...

Trailheads are located very close for snowmobiles and ORV's.

In the winter, perfect for snowmobiling, ice fishing, bike races on the lake.

Our home is about 6 blocks from Lake Huron and just minutes to downtown shopping, restaurants, beaches, parks, boat launches and more. Patti's Getaway is only: about 8 miles from Tawas Point State Park (good place to bird watch) , about 12 miles from Corsair Trails, about 15 miles form Iargo Springs and Lumbermen's Memorial, just to name a few places.

Welcome to Round Lake! Yes we have sand at our beach. An all sports, lake front getaway! Wake up and relax looking out over the lake on the deck. Take the kayaks or row boat out to catch bass, northern pike! A terrific small community with hiking and ATV trails, walking distance from Huron National Forest. A short drive to Lake Huron, East Tawas, Lumbermans memorial, take a paddle boat tour down the Au Sable river or drive into Oscoda. Everything that getting up north is all about.

Enjoy kayaking around the lake, sipping coffee on the deck. Ride bicycles around to the other 6 lakes nearby. Take a short drive to East Tawas and walk the main street or out onto the pier on Lake Huron. Grab some fresh produce and local fare at Saturday farmer markets in the summer. PROVIDED ITEMS: To simplify your packing, we supply essentials for your trip, but with certain limitations to stay competitive.

• Sanitary Items: Expect roughly 1 roll of paper towel, 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and 2 trash bags.

• Linens/Bedding: We provide each guest with 1 towel and 1 washcloth, based on the cottage's occupancy limit. Each bed is fitted with a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, pillows with cases, and a light quilt. In the bathrooms, you'll find 1 floor towel and 1 hand towel. The kitchen is equipped with 1 dishcloth and 1 dish towel. Please note that we do not offer towel exchange services, nor do we provide extra linens beyond what is mentioned here.

• Kitchenware: We provide dinnerware to accommodate the maximum number of guests, plus basic cookware. e.g. at least 1 saucepan, 1 frypan and simple cooking utensils.

One of six cottages in Anchorage Cottages & Retreat Center. Not direct lake view, but the water in only a few feet away. Wifi is spotty, so if you need to relax and disconnect, this cottage would be perfect for you. No pets allowed. There is some road noise, as we are right on US-23. We have limited beach space but the view is spectacular in any season!

Walking trails around the property are certainly available for guest’s use. The golf course is walkable and about 1/2 miles to the west off Davison Road. During certain times of the year, after a significant rainy season, the trail may not be as walkable as other times. We do our best to keep it well maintained.

Located at the end of a no-outlet street, Cottage Cove is tucked away from traffic and noise. Enjoy the private beach or walk along Lake Huron shore to the Oscoda boardwalk and public park with plenty of activities for the kids: a splash pad, playground, skate park, and even more sugar-sand beach.

Stay connected with reliable, high speed internet throughout the entire property. When the weather's not cooperating, chill out inside with a movie on the smart HDTV or games at the table.

BEDDING/TOWELS: Bedding and towels are not included in this rental. Each mattress and the provided pillows are protected with waterproof, zippered covers. Don't forget to pack bed sheets, pillowcases and blankets in addition to bath, beach and hand towels.

DOG-FRIENDLY: Cottage Cove welcomes dogs. Even if you're not traveling with a pet, expect to see dogs in shared areas. Bear this in mind when booking, especially if you have allergies or plan to bring your dog. Dogs must be on 6ft leashes whenever outside the rental (including the beach), and owners must clean up after their pets immediately.

CLEANLINESS: We prioritize offering a clean environment for your vacation. Every appliance, surface, and fixture is thoroughly cleaned between stays. However, there are some points to note.

• We are pet-friendly, so a few stray hairs may evade our cleaning.

• Our spacious, circular driveway is a great playground for kids and provides a smooth walking surface. However, it can lead to oil from the asphalt being tracked into the cottage: especially, when guests walk barefoot from the beach. Despite our diligent cleaning efforts, the asphalt can sometimes leave marks on the cottage floors and bathtubs.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. 12 minutes from hospital. Bring your boat in the summertime the cottage is two blocks from sand lake. Sand lake offers a nice beach area within walking distance and two boat launches nearby. Snowmobiles can ride their snowmobiles from the property to the trail head which is a mile away to access the many miles of snowmobile/ATV trails. The cottage is located within walking distance to a convenience store, sand lake sports bar, and sand lake micro brewery.

There are 2 bedrooms - one with a queen size bed and the other is a “cottage-style” room with bulk beds and a twin bed. The living room has a rustic feel. The exposed beams through out give the cottage a cozy feel.

A 1940's cottage right in the heart of quaint downtown East Tawas. East Tawas is located on Michigan’s Sunrise Side. The area is well known for its sparkling turquoise waters and clean public sandy beaches.
Just two blocks to Newman St and you can enjoy local shopping and dining or the ice cream and chocolate shops, and the 1935 historic movie theater.
Bring your boat and enjoy Lake Huron or catch some fish for dinner. Kayaks and canoes can be put in at various spots along the Au Sable River.

The space
Our cottage is a private 1940’s built home in a residential neighborhood with close proximity to town and the beach. The cottage is roomy with a three season front porch with a sofa and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee, or a game of tic tac toe; a spacious living room with a high definition smart television and Wifi; and dining room with seating for 6 that includes a coffee/wine bar area. Coffee is included.

The kitchen is quirky and original to home with the exception of the dishwasher and hood vent installed in 2020. The kitchen includes a microwave, plenty of dishware, utensils, pots and pans.

The fully remodeled full bathroom comes stocked with Terra Pure toiletries and make-up remover cloths along with clean fresh towels, and a starter amount of TP.
A laundry room with stackable washer/dryer and utility sink make up the rest of the main spaces.

The main floor bedrooms consist of the Primary bedroom with king sized bed, closet with laundry basket, and a mirror with hooks for hanging towels or robes and blinds on the windows. The second bedroom is furnished with queen sized bed and a wardrobe. Extra beach towels are stored in the wardrobe as well. This bedroom has blackout curtains.

The third bedroom is up a steep flight of stairs so may not be suitable for everyone. It’s the original staircase and they were built steep in the 1940’s. This bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed, two nightstands, a table with lamp near outlets in the room, a dresser and a small mirror.

Out back is a fenced in yard with a propane grill, Adirondack chairs and a fire pit. Here you can challenge your friends and family to a game of cornhole or the large version of Connect Four. We have included all your grilling utensils and plastic dinnerware to enjoy a meal outdoors on the picnic table. There are also hooks off the back porch to hang up any damp beach towels.

Relax and unwind in this fully renovated riverfront cottage that offers four seasons of fun. Launch your boat, jet ski or snowmobile at the nearby launch site minutes up the road and dock your boat directly in front of the cottage where you can enjoy fishing for perch, bass, walleye and more in beautiful Saginaw Bay. Perfect for nature enthusiasts with walking paths and beaches close by. A short drive to Tawas offers unique shops, restaurants, lakefront parks, breweries and Tawas State Park.

The space
Completely renovated inside in 2021 and offers for your comfort and convenience an updated kitchen with all new appliances and granite countertops, main bath with tiled stand-in shower and marble vanity, upstairs 1/2 bath with marble vanity, new paint throughout, planked flooring and central air.

NEW for 2023! Luxurious 14" memory foam mattresses in each bedroom cradle your body and help promote a comfortable night's sleep.

Brand new 50" and 43" smart TV's let's you enjoy your favorite shows. A wine bar stores your favorite local wine, and a large upstairs loft is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunrise over Saginaw Bay. Relax with your favorite beverage on the riverfront deck and watch the boats go by.

The large seawall is an added bonus for fishing and boating enthusiasts. A DNR boat launch minutes from the cottage offers multiple ramps and plenty of parking. Dock your watercraft in front of the house for easy access to the Au Gres River, Saginaw Bay and Lk Huron and enjoy fishing, swimming or exploring the beautiful scenery.

The fun doesn't stop when the temperatures dips. Bring your snowmobile for exhilarating runs up and down the Au Gres river. Or enjoy ice fishing, skating, snowshoeing or sledding just steps from the front door.

Comforts of home include high speed internet access, washer, dryer, Weber propane grill and outside fire pit.

Bedrooms are located on the main floor along with the full bath with stand up shower. Half bath is located upstairs in the loft.

Guests will have access to the entire home, dock, seawall, 2 decks, backyard and firepit minus the canoe, paddleboat and shed.

This is a simple and clean, fully furnished, two-bedroom cottage that overlooks and accesses a sandy beach on Lake Huron. Watch the sun rise over the Lake from the kitchen or living room! Maximum relaxation and no crowds but your own!

We have wireless internet, a flat screen smart TV and DVD player to enjoy even a rainy day on the beach.

Pets are negotiable, but subject to review and an additional $250 security deposit and $20 cleaning fee (or cleaner loves dog hair :))

The space
You can watch the sun rise above Lake Huron while sipping your morning brew from the kitchen or living room.

The cottage comes fully furnished with linens, towels, pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils, and other kitchen supplies. Each bedroom has a closet and full dresser available for you to unpack and make yourself comfortable. Beds are wrapped with bedbug covers and are on anti-bedbug stilts, and are inspected frequently, so rest easy!

Wireless internet, a 30" LCD HD Smart TV (offering nearly 80 channels) and complimentary NetFlix and Pandora streaming means you can also enjoy rainy days or a get-away during the cooler months! New electric fireplace.

With 1 queen side bed, one full size bed, one queen size sofa sleeper, and one single size sofa sleeper, this room can technically fit up to 7 people. Due to the single bathroom, however, we recommend limiting this to the equivalent of 4 adults; but the many sleeping locations offers great flexibility for children!

The property also offers the use of 3 additionally shared decks, fire pits, charcoal grills, a playground, volleyball net, basketball hoop, and convenient access to a party store (Pete's) within walking distance.

Surfside is located close to many outdoor activities; Tubing/kayaking/canoeing on the Au Sable, hiking in the Huron National Forest, taking a riverboat cruise on the Au Sable, or just taking a long walk on the beach.

Have a large family, requiring the use of multiple cottages? We can work with you to arrange rentals from other units within the Surfside complex to help accommodate large family gatherings!

You'll have access to the sandy beach of Lake Huron. There is a roadside park next door with paved trails and boardwalks. Pete's party store is just across the road and has all your basic food and drink needs!
