The cottage is located ten minutes from Leamington and five minutes from Wheatley. There are many restaurants in either town as well as shopping and entertainment. We are located next to Hillman Marsh Conservation Area as well as Point Pelee National Park.

Our kitchen is fully equipped with spice rack, mixing bowls, air fryer, hand mixer, rice cooker & more! The dining table seats 6 + 3 bar stools for gathering around the island with family & friends. We also have a fun high top bar/ table for a cup of morning Joe overlooking beautiful lake views, Watching ducks and fishing boats on the lake, this table also doubles as a workspace fitted w/ a power bar & USB charging.

My 2nd time visiting the area and a great place to stay if I return again."

Garbage: Any garbage must be stowed in the appropriate bins. We recommend the garbage is taken out daily to avoid unnecessary odors.
Recycle - Please separate plastics and cardboard and place in the correct bin. Do not place in plastic bags. Failure to separate will result in a $75.00 sorting fee.

Parking: Please Park vehicles in designated parking areas only. Please do not park on the grass. Any illegally parked vehicles are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.

Appliances & kitchenware: Only use appliances for their intended uses. We have provided kitchenware for our guests; we kindly ask that you load dishwasher and start before leaving. Dish soap and cloths are located under the sink.

Furniture & décor: Please do not move the furniture or decor. This can damage the floors and disturb the atmosphere of the home we have work so hard to create.

Pets: Unfortunately, this property is not suitable for pets of any kind.

Towels: Please leave used towels on the floor in the bathroom.

Water & septic: DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at any time. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the system, you could be charged damages of up to $1000.

Liability: The owners and property manager (PM) are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The homeowner and PM are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guests. Seacliff Park is home to many updates, including the Music Amphitheatre right off the beach, the children's splash pad, and a beautiful walking trail throughout the park.
There is parking by the beach, or walk the distance from the cottage.

There are 2 Queen beds, and the couch pulls out to a double bed, to fully accommodate 6 guests.

Pets: Unfortunately, this property is not suitable for pets of any kind.

- "Loved it. Coming back in the summer. " - "We had a lovely stay at the Hammock Beach House. The home was immaculately clean, tastefully furnished, and set against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. It was fully equipped and stocked with everything we needed—including plenty of towels and comfortable bedding. I even ended up using the provided pillow instead of my own, which is rare for me!The listing noted that there was no oven, but this wasn’t an issue—the convection / microwave and stovetop met all our cooking needs.There is a fireplace, but unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy it on the cooler evenings. No instructions were provided, so it was essentially unusable during our stay. I did speak with customer service who explained how to make it work but even then it did not function. Similarly, while the house rules mention that garbage and recycling must be sorted properly—or a 75 charge may apply—there were no instructions or labeling on the bins to clarify what goes where. This was confusing as recycling rules vary by region.The furniture is attractive and comfortable, though we would have preferred if the couch faced the fireplace, allowing us to enjoy both the fire and the beautiful view of Lake Erie through the window. In respect of the house rules we did not move any furniture.Despite a few small details, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area and the overall experience. We hope to return for another stay at the Hammock Beach House in the future."

This cozy, clean home has two bedrooms, with a large deck to soak up some sun and relax just off the kitchen. Open and airy living, the cottage has plenty of large windows that let in lots of natural light plus great views of the lake. With one large bathroom, laundry room, and another fantastic view of the lake from the master bedroom. Plus parking for two vehicles.

We have also changed our cleaning to include the use of an Industrial Neutral Disinfectant Cleaner, in order to better protect you and your family during this time.

- "This was an excellent property to stay at in Leamington! It was very central and easy to access all that we wanted to see, as well as being a great base at night. It looks out over the lake and the main pier is steps away, which is beautiful for an evening walk. This also meant it was steps away to get to the ferry to Pelee Island, which was ideal. The only downside to the area is that it does become a bit busy at night, being a popular pier, with locals meeting up and revving cars in the parking lot. That did not go late into the night though so it was still a nice peaceful stay overnight. There was one snag to the stay and it was resolved nicely. An unexpected early heat wave had hit and the air conditioners are window units which were not yet installed. The place was initially a little hot and Kristen was very prompt in responding to our queries. We were quickly setup with fans, and with the windows open getting the lake breeze the place cooled down nicely and was very comfortable for out stay. The kitchen was stocked well with essentials, which made it great for having our meals in. We didn't take advantage of the bbq but it was a very nice backyard that we enjoyed eating in. The upstairs bedrooms have great views and comfortable beds. Overall with the location and the property it was an excellent stay and a well worth it place to pick in the area!"

- "We had a great time at the lake. The property was very cozy with great views and acces to the water. It was very clean and welcoming." - "The house was in a great location. Very close to a lot of restaurants and attractions. Pelee National Park is very close. Definitely a great place to spend the day. The house itself was very clean and modern. Right on the water! Wish there was more beach space. But overall, wonderful!" - "Beautifully renovated cottage on the shore of Lake Erie. 2 minute drive to the national park gates. Well equipped kitchen. Very nice hot tub and outdoor lounge space. Great views! Bedroom suite on the 2nd floor is decorated in soothing blue tones. King bed is very comfortable, however the pullout couch was awful for sleeping on! There is no ensuite bathroom as both bathrooms are on the main floor, so this bedroom isn't suitable for someone with mobility issues. The bedroom on the main floor was also very comfortable. This room does have an ensuite bathroom. It faces the main road, so in birding season the road noise starts at 5 am! The only shower in the unit is in the main floor bathroom. We didn't receive a door code to get into the unit in advance, so we were worried about how we were going to get in. We ran into the owner, fortuitously, who straightened things out. Communication from the property manager could be improved. Our main issue with our stay was that one of the toilets wasn't flushing properly. We alerted the property manager to this problem on our second day and were promised service, but no one ever came to fix the problem over our 4 day stay. Needless to say, we weren't happy with having to reach inside the toilet tank to flush the toilet for our whole stay!"

This home is self-catering. No meals will be provided, however, there are numerous options for local markets, shopping, and restaurants to accommodate your stay.

Kitchen appliances include stainless-steel fridge, dishwasher and microwave, glass-top stove. All cooking and dining essentials provided. Glass dinnerware has been provided for adults, kid-friendly dinnerware for those travelling with little ones.

There is no daily housekeeping service. Before check-in the home will be thoroughly cleaned and inspected. Fresh bathroom towels and bedroom linens will be provided to guests.

Wall-mounted Smart tv in living room. Wifi available throughout stay.

There are two guest bedrooms within the cottage, one has a queen bed, the other a double bed is provided. Sliding, barn-style doors on both bedrooms.

Sofa bed, in living room, has queen size memory foam mattress to comfortably accommodate additional guests.

Washer and dryer are provided free of charge.

Covered back porch makes a perfect sitting area to enjoy the outdoors, in addition to the large deck in the front, where water views are stunning. BBQ is located under the rear covered porch, for grilling rain or shine!

Our guests have Lakefront access from our lot across the street. There's a picnic table with a beautiful view.
The side lot is large enough to have an impromptu soccer game, badminton or croquet.

Other things to note
1. Smoking is NOT allowed inside the cottage. You may smoke outside.
2. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the
property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest. Guests are not
allowed to exceed occupancy limit agreed to above.
3. Guests should not create excessive noise at a level that disturbs the neighbors. Code enforced
neighborhood quiet hours are from 10:00pm until 8:00am.
4. The Homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or less that occur while on the
premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal
belongings or valuables of the Guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests
are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others
whom they invite to use the premise.
5. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order.
6. Only use appliances for their intended uses.
7. Pets are permitted only with prior approval and the Pet Addendum must be completed.
8. Parking is limited to 2 vehicle(s). Vehicles are to be parked in the driveway only. Parking on the
road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing, applicable fines and
towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner.
9. Housekeeping. There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are
included in the cottage, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. Please bring beach
towels. You are welcome to use the Washer and Dryer respectively.
10. Garbage. Any garbage must be stowed in the proper garbage or recycling receptacle,
located at the side of the cottage.
11. Storms and Unexpected Weather. If there is a storm or other unexpected weather, no refunds
will be given.

The rest of the space is an open floor plan allowing guests the space to read, watch tv, play games, use the work space, eat and simply sit and enjoy the gorgeous view of the lake.

Other things to note
Depending on when you come and enjoy our little slice of heaven, there can be some big friends who welcome you. We have discovered this is part of lake life! :) Midges typically visit from the last few weeks of May to mid-June, but this varies depending on the weather. We see more of them when there are rainy or damp conditions.

The 3rd bedroom does not have central heat or AC and has a glass wall/patio door separating it from the living room. There are full-length curtains to add privacy from the main living area.

Maison D’oiseau is a secluded cottage on Marentette Beach, a private beach community between Hillman Marsh and Point Pelee. The Lake Erie waterfront cottage has been refurbished, with hickory cabinets and granite counter tops.
Updated bathroom facilities include a modern claw foot tub. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths as well as washer, dryer, dishwasher and a propane barbecue.
Guests are welcome to use paddle boards, kayaks, canoes and bikes. Fishing is by permit (no gear provided).

The space
The cottage is approximately 1200 square feet with 3 bedrooms, 1 king, and 2 queen beds. Free parking for up to 2 vehicles. Water front property with a private beach and dock on the canal side.

Guest access
The cottage, all on one floor will be reserved for your blocked vacation. Crawl space is not accessible to guests. Guests are welcome to use the cottage ammenities (boats, paddle boards and bikes) and any recreational items in the shed such a boogie boards and float tubes.

Other things to note
We always recommend life jackets (included during your stay) when using the lake or canal. Lake Erie has strong under currents and varied depths. Do not leave children unattended as the cottage is surrounded by water.

We recommend not swimming in the canal as there may be run off from farmed land and the canal is home to vivacious water life such as fish, turtles and snakes. The canal's calm waters are great for canoeing and kayaking.

A propane BBQ is available for your use. When using the BBQ please do not leave food unattended.

Shared community garbage and recycle bins are available at the entrance of the private drive. Please secure garbage and recycle items in the bins provided. Do not leave food or garbage outside the cottage over night as wild life will visit you and indulge.

Insects are part of this eco system. Although we take measures to control insects inside the cottage the exterior is a natural habitat for these creatures. You may encounter very few insects on some days and others an abundant. Insect repellent on hand is recommended.

This is the only private beach in the area with multiple bylaws including no hunting, no camping, no campers/trailers, and no parties. Fishing is by permit. The drive is shared and policed by the OPP with vehicles coming into Marentette beach having the right of way. Outgoing cars are to stop and allow passage of incoming vehicles. Please do not drive on our lawn or the neighbours. Speed limit on the shared drive is no more than 20km/hr as posted.

We cannot guarentee the weather. In the event of a storm and or flooding do not drive through standing water and take every precaution to maintain your safety. By booking you agree that we will not be held liable for acts of nature.

The space
Our cozy cottage is perfect for a couple or small family, accommodating up to 5 guests. With a private beach and lakefront access, you can spend your days swimming, sunbathing, or simply relaxing by the water's edge.

The cottage has a queen-sized bed in the master bedroom and another queen bed plus a bunk bed in the second bedroom.

The kitchen includes essentials such as a gas cooktop, microwave, Keurig, tea kettle, toaster, dishes, utensils, bowls, pots and pans. Even better, grill your meals on the Weber barbecue on the large deck over looking the lake.

The space
Lake Life is a cottage style home built in 1950. Special attention was given to preserve it’s unique history while still offering modern conveniences.

The cottage has three bedrooms;
1) a lakeside bedroom with queen bed and ensuite bath
2) a marsh side bedroom with a queen bed
3) a second marsh side bedroom with a double bed.

There is also a full bath, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room and laundry facilities.

Enjoy meals and drinks in the lakeside dining room while taking in the soothing sounds of the waves and stunning view of the lake.

The large lakeside deck is the perfect setting to sip your morning coffee, bbq and dine alfresco, or watch the sunset while sitting around the gas firepit.

Across the road from the home is Big Creek marsh. Relax on the bench and take in the sounds of nature. You may be met with visits from blue herons, egrets, swans, Canadian geese, ducks, turtles, frogs or muskrats.

1. **Please review the house rules & details of fees BEFORE booking. Fees are dependent on the number of guests. All overnight guests must be registered at the time of booking.

2. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful and not a location for parties or loud, boisterous groups.

3. There is no stair access or dock on the lake, however, there is a public beach (Holiday Beach) & a private beach at either end of the street. Also, Colchester Beach & Harbour is only a 15 minute drive. There are two restaurants there; The Wreak and Beach Side Eats & Treats.

4. Drive with caution on the private road coming in and watch for deer crossing from dusk until dawn. Also, watch for turtles crossing Lakeside Dr. (especially during May & June) because they are venturing to resident’s yards to lay eggs.

5. Please drive slow & cautiously on Lakeside Dr. as it is a residential area with adults & children either crossing the street or walking down the street.

6. The fire pit table on the deck is connected to a natural gas line so there’s no need to bring a propane tank.

7. The BBQ is also connected to a natural gas line. No propane tank is required.

8. The cottage is located in a rural area that is 20 minutes from the Town of Amherstburg. There is a convenience store/gas station/restaurant/ice cream shop/mini golf (Ure’s Country Kitchen) just 5 minutes up the street if you do not want to travel far.

This beautiful lodge is located on the Canadian side of the Detroit river with wonderful views of Grosse Ile, MI. Backyard sunsets are an amazing sight in the summer. The property has bridge access onto the island and is located on the corner lot with 360 views of the Detroit River. The house comes with access to the canal and boat garage.
