Lake front cottage with amazing sandy private beach. This renovated original cottage is one of a kind! A perfect get away that is still in town. This is an adults only property. This home is fully equipped with everything you should need to have an enjoyable stay. The cottage has many comfy spaces to enjoy inside and out. Two bedrooms, one on the main floor with the sound of waves crashing and one downstairs in the bomb shelter for those who like a quiet sleep. A fully equipped eat in kitchen. There is a south side covered patio and bbq for outside meals. A bright and breezy work space, a laid back reading spot, it has it all! There is a storage space for bikes or any sporting equipment you may have. There are many different levels to the cottage and property so those who are not good with stairs this may not be the place for you. This original cottage has been renovated but still has an issue with water pressure, you cant do laundry and shower at the same time. However the water pressure is amazing when you dive into the lake. The a/c is not central air, we have window units and fans for blazing hot days but windows open with the lake breeze is the best way to enjoy the peaceful sounds of the waves. There are kayaks a paddleboard, floats and other beach items and games that you are free to use. The cottage is walking distance to a great grocery store, liquor store, bank, barber, MnM meats for your convenience.
We are located 10 minutes from the Bluewater Bridge to Michigan and downtown Sarnia. Within a 5 minute walk there is an LCBO, MnM Meats, Sunripe grocery store, variety store, bank and restaurant. The Howard Watson bike trails are close by and go for miles.

This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.
HOUSE RULES
Primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties or events, no pets.

- The cottage is strictly NO SMOKING, outside is fine. Please do not leave cigarette butts on the lawn or beach, there are several spots to dispose of them.
- NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY AT ANY TIME at the beach. Guests agree to assume all risk and liability associated with the use of the beach. NEVER leave minors unattended.
- Only those listed on the reservation confirmation may stay.
- Please stay in designated right side of the driveway as the owner or other guests use the left side.
- Anything damaged or not working please let me know as soon as possible.
- Please keep cottage locked when you are at the beach. Do not leave any valuables on the beach unattended. This is a private beach but it is close to the public access and anyone has the right to walk the beach. Owner will not be liable for lost or missing items.
- Guests must bring in floats from the water and move chairs away from the shoreline at night. A calm day can change quickly, anything left too close to the waters edge will be gone.
- Guests understand that the cottage is 1 of 2 residences on this property and the beach is shared. The main residence is occupied by the owner.
- Quiet hours are 10pm til 8am. Remember sound carries very well over water.
- Trash bags may not be left outside as there are many critters around. Please put all trash bags in the blue bin at the end of the driveway. Recycles need to be in the blue boxes provided.
- Small beach fires are allowed weather and wind permitting. Guests must not leave fire unattended. Be mindful of smoke as everyone loves to have the windows open to listen to the lake.
- No offensive music or language at any time.
- By booking this property you acknowledge that you have read and agree to abide by all rules and requests of the owner.
- Owner has the right to revoke tenancy at any time without refund for guests that do not respect the rules.

This fresh and clean 3 bedroom, one floor family cottage (2000 sqft) with bunkie (370 sqft) is located on a quiet street in the beautiful cottage community of Brights Grove located on the shores of Lake Huron. A new kitchen and flooring installed April 2022! There is a new expansive front deck with beautiful lake and sunset views. 60 steps to the beach. Short walk to parks, grocery store, coffee shop, restaurants and golf course. There is also a detached garage and an out building for plenty of storage.
This reservation has a Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 30 days prior to the check in date.

Another aspect that wasn’t ideal was the lack of AC in the bunkie as it did get quite hot. The ceiling fan didn't work and the fan that we did find was extremely loud and couldn’t be kept on overnight. Otherwise our stay was amazing. We would love to come again."

Dish soap and hand soap are provided.
No smoking of any kind or vaping inside the cottage. No pets allowed.

- "Great weekend away for our family. Walking distance to grocery stores, restaurants, water. Due to heavy rainfall there was no beach access in walking distance (high waters, no sand) but hosts were very helpful in providing information for a beach close by. We also went on a short drive to the “children’s animal farm” which was a nice outing. The home had everything we needed. Loved that there was lots of additional bedding and fresh white towels, as well as beach towels available for use. Only negative was there were a few skunks in the backyard later at night. We also briefly saw a possum and raccoon so as long as your okay with a bit of extra wildlife you’ll be fine. Would consider booking again."

The cottage is very unique and shares the property with another home. it is built into a hill and has many levels and stairs. Two bedrooms, one on the main floor with the sound of waves crashing and one downstairs in the bomb shelter for those who like a quiet sleep. Three comfy sitting areas inside. A fully equipped eat in kitchen. There is a south side covered patio with bbq for outside meals. There are kayaks and a few bikes available for guests to enjoy.

Guest access
The property has 2 homes on it that share the beach access. There are different levels to the property and many seating areas to enjoy. There are 3 different areas to enjoy a fire. We have beach chairs, towels, coolers, flotation devices, life jackets and everything you should need for an amazing beach experience. Both sunrise and sunset can been viewed from the beach. I do have kayaks on site which may be available for use. Terms of use can be discussed at time of check in. Any damage or loss of items will go against security deposit.

Other things to note
This cottage has been renovated with exception of the bathtub. There is no central air, but do have a few window a/c units and fans that will do the trick to keep you cool on those blazing hot summer days. However it is best enjoyed with all the windows open to catch that lake breeze and all the soothing sounds of crashing waves and chirping birds.

The cottage is located directly across the street from a large park with kids play equipment, tennis, pickle ball & basketball courts, and a french fry truck in the summer months. Parking for 2 vehicles. Only a couple houses away from the public beach.

There is a boat launch just around the corner and room on our yard during your stay to park your boat/trailer. There is no dock, most anchor in shallow water and wade into shore.
