We have a 10 month on daughter so having the park be less than a 5 minute walk and the beach being a 10 minute walk was perfect! We also loved how dog friendly the home was. They had a leash, poop bags, and dog bowls to welcome Ginger. The host was also amazing with communication. We had a minor thing that needed to be fixed at the house and it was done within 1 day. We also stayed for 2 weeks and they had the cleaning company come by after 1 week to change the bedding/towels and freshen up the place. We truly appreciated it! Can’t wait to stay again next year :)"

Situated among white pines and oak trees, this 3 bedroom, 2 bath cottage was totally remodeled in 2016, with a bright new kitchen, fresh bathrooms and cozy bedrooms, which complement the classic features like knotty pine paneling, a wood burning fire place and the all-glass sleeping porch. The wooded setting provides ample privacy and the beach on Sleeping Bear Bay is unsurpassed for swimming, rock hunting or simply taking in the beauty of the surroundings.

Though they love their northern getaway, the cottage’s owners can’t spend all their time up here so have decided to make select times available to guests.

From the cottage it’s a quick trip into the small town of Glen Arbor, which is in the heart of the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Among Glen Arbor’s amenities is a fully-stocked grocery store, restaurants, bars, art studios and apparel shops, most of which are open year-round. The cottage enjoys nearby access to the newly constructed Heritage Trail offering over 20 miles of car-free riding & walking through forest, dune and marsh ecosystems, spanning from Empire to Good Harbor Bay.

The Details

The bedrooms are as follows: King bed in master, queen bed in second bedroom, and bunk w/ twin over full in the lower level bedroom as well as a sofa bed. Please note that there is a separate outside entrance to the lower level bedroom. Sheets & bath towels are provided, we just ask that you bring your own beach towels.

The galley style kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, glassware and pots & pans, as well as all the major appliances and a gas grill is located right outside the kitchen. There is a stacked, front-loading washer & dryer. Seating for up to 8 at the dining room table.

The cottage is equipped with cable TV and wifi internet service.

Off the front of the sleeping porch is a large deck with ample seating, and a newly built boardwalk down to a beachfront lounging deck.

Check-in is any time after 4pm, check-out is by 10am. Pets are not allowed.

- "So many amazing things to say about this property! We stayed with our entire family, including our toddler. The location cannot be beat, you are steps from Lake Michigan while being a mile shy of downtown glen arbor. The house had spacious main areas such as kitchen, living room and the main bathroom. Plenty of room for our family of 8, and everything was super clean. My only complaint is the mattresses could be upgraded, as they were not very comfortable in any room. Like I said above, outstanding space and location. We loved our stay!!"

The 1938 Modern cabin was designed by eminent Chicago architect Harry Weese for his parents while in architecture school. It is a notable early example of a style that became popular and known as mid-centry modern. The wall of glass embracing the lake is the focal point for open-plan living, dining & cooking. Furnishings have been updated in keeping with its historic character.

Down a private drive, a short distance east of the Narrows Bridge, it is Ideally located adjacent to the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Relax, enjoy your vacation at our bright, comfortable cottage. The large living area with fireplace has a dining table for 8 and a selection of comfortable seating. The adjacent screen porch has teak furniture & a table for snacking, dinner or games. Step out to the ample deck with lounge chairs. All areas overlook the crystal clear, spring fed lake. Four cozy bedrooms will accommodate 5-8.

The Cottage: Enjoy the peace of water lapping at the shore or the breeze passing the birches while reading in the hammock or rocking in a chair on the porch. A crackling fire will welcome you after an early morning or evening dip in the lake. Whatever your inclination, a variety of activities abound and you will have a memorable vacation at our family summer home.

Waterfront: The cottage has a private dock and floating raft, and fixed raft shared with our two adjacent cabins. The water is shallow at the shore with minimal beach. There is ample sandy shallow water swimming between the dock and raft. Kayaks, canoes & windsurfers can be easily accommodated, however we have no facilities for launching or mooring larger or motorized watercraft and the driveway cannot accommodate trailers. Public launch ramps are nearby. Kayaks & bikes may be rented in town.

Glen Lake is shallow for hundreds of feet which is great for the kids (be aware of swimmers itch) and we were able to moor our boat for the week just off shore to enjoy the entire lake (boat launch on Little Glen Lake). Close to downtown Glen Arbor for food, drinks and shopping. View of Sleeping Bear sand dunes from the fire pit. House was comfortable and modern on the inside and space for kids to play outside."

Beach usage with chaise lounges, umbrella tables, swim raft and small water crafts. Set back privacy, but no lake view.

Blankets, quilts and pillows are provided. Kitchen and bathroom soaps, paper products, and dish towels provided (shampoo not provided). Sheets and towels are not provided, but can be for an additional $75.

Reservations require the reservation form completed and a 50% deposit. .
Reservations begin January 15th every year.

Access to Heritage Trail is just a few hundred yards away. Enjoy miles of hiking and bike trails in and around Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. The Dune Climb is about 2 miles away.

ARE YOU A REMOTE WORKER? Ridge Way has a workstation with electric outlet, WiFi, desk, comfortable office chair, and the best views!

DO YOU LOVE DOGS? We do too! Ridge Way is a pet friendly cottage and welcomes well-behaved dogs for a small pet fee. The ridge behind the cottage and the nearby walking trails ensure that your pup will get plenty of exercise and fresh air!

BRINGING THE KIDS? Ridge Way is located about 1/4 mile from Glen Arbor Township Park. The park has basketball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and lots of playground equipment. In addition, bike rentals are available in downtown Glen Arbor.

Wouldn't recommend it for more than 2/3 people as the living area is limited. The firepit was an unexpected bonus space that we used both nights. Close to the road, but not much traffic at night so it didn't bother us. Definitely has hosted a dog or two (we found kibble and dog hair on the floor)."

A great vacation cottage located on Big Glen Lake's south side sandbar by the Narrows. The cottage consists of a main house and a four car garage with three bedrooms and two baths (Towers). Off the back of the house is a large two level deck with the most spectacular views of Big Glen Lake and Alligator Hill. There is a boat house down by the beach fully stocked with kayaks, paddleboards, life jackets, and many different kinds of toys for all ages. There is also a paddleboat and a boat mooring.

The main house has three bedrooms and two half baths (one is a shower and one is a toilet/sink in the two twin bedroom). There is a master bedroom with a queen bed, tons of closet space, and a master bath with a shower, oversized tub, and two sinks. The second bedroom has two twin beds with a half bath. The third bedroom has a bunk-beds with a trundle bed) Also in the main house is a living room, sunroom, kitchen, and dining area. Kitchen has built in appliances including a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, and a trash compactor. In the basement is a washer and a dryer with a second refrigerator. There is a shower off of the kitchen and a full bath in the hallway, There are plenty of beach towels in the hallway closet.

Above the garage (Towers) there are three queen bedrooms and two full baths. There is another washer and dryer in the towers. In front of the garage is parking for four vehicles and the driveway can accommodate an additional three vehicles.

The property has 185' frontage and the water is perfect for small children. You can wade out in the clearest of water all the way to the Narrows, approximately 400 feet, where you will find one of the most popular spots on the lake. The dock is brand new and there is beautiful sandy beach as well as a large lawn area for people to relax by the water. Of course no beach would be complete without a nice fire pit to roast those marshmallows.

As this cottage is open all year it is also an excellent rental for hunters, snowmobilers, and skiers.(

Wildflower Depot sits on two tranquil acres of wildflowers under a canopy of trees. This lovingly restored 150-year-old train depot is a short stroll to beautiful Lake Michigan. The c.1880 historical Copemish train depot, known for the past several decades as the beloved Wildflowers Gift Shop, was moved to Bay Lane in 2021 from the outskirts of Glen Arbor.

The original structure has been renovated from top to bottom, including the addition of a gourmet eat-in kitchen with Wolf cooktop and oven, full-size stainless steel refrigerator, and dishwasher. Original details have been preserved, but the home has been updated with new custom windows, gas fireplace, bead board ceilings, and driftwood gray floors. The home is also equipped with a full-size washer and dryer.

A new addition has two bedrooms with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and the other with double sinks and a soaking tub. Twin beds have a view of the treetops in a loft space which you can access by a built in ship's ladder by the hall bathroom.

Entertain outdoors with a gas grill and sit under the stars around a cozy fire pit. Beautiful Lake Michigan beaches are a two-minute walk down Bay Lane - after which you can refresh yourself in a new outdoor shower! Grab a morning coffee or gourmet goods at the newly-renovated old Mill nearby, and enjoy many fabulous Glen Arbor local restaurants!

- "This lovely old train depot makes an airy nest snuggled up against Sleeping Bear Bay. Steps from the very quiet and gorgeous beach, and tucked into very pretty woods not far from the Crystal River. I can’t say enough about how carefully and perfectly decorated this home is. It’s got super high ceilings, old tall ornate glass windows and hardwood floors. The owner has great taste and a real eye for mermaid and seaside art. The kitchen is spectacular, with top end brand new appliances. Very charming selection of unusual yet practical dishes and glassware gives you everything you could want from breakfast to cocktails under the stars. There are several lovely spots in the woods next to the house with a grill, fire pit and a hanging straw chair to cuddle into. I loved all the French design touches, and effort put into the gardens. Still a work in progress, but what’s there is terrific. Glen Arbor is a really wonderful up north small town we have visited before, but this place is the nicest we have ever seen in the area. The beach is a little stony, so if you have kids, bring water shoes. We went to a gourmet restaurant one night, grilled out a lot, and saw magnificent sunsets all week long. Book this house, you will never want to leave!"

A well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances makes cooking a breeze, and the living area features a flatscreen TV for quiet evenings at home.

To ensure guest comfort during the warmer months, we’ve recently added air conditioning units to two of the cottage windows.
