- "The house and property was clean and looked newly renovated. About a mile away from downtown Saugatuck, so a great location. Easy find and access from the highway. We had two days of rain when we stayed so I appreciated the game cabinet and pool table - they were a fun way to get my kids off of their screens. We had a great time. We’d definitely stay there again. Only suggestions - perhaps a baking (cookie) sheet or two and a veggie steamer to insert into a pot. Thank you!"

Be sure to take advantage of the popular restaurant The Southerner right next door. The restaurant can be quite busy in the summer so there's fantastic people watching from your private patio but it ends service at 10pm so no late night noise or commotion.

The cottage has a very private stone patio in the back off the master bedroom which has an umbrella table and chairs and a chimenea for romantic fires, on those cool nights. The large side yard is nicely landscaped and is a great place for a picnic, yard games or child's play. The cottage is Pet Friendly and there's even a bike rack for securing your bike. Pickleball and Tennis courts are just a few blocks away.

Being just a stone's throw from downtown you'll find yourself walking everywhere. The Cottage is also only a block away from the river and Wickes Park where you can sit and watch the river boat traffic, people watch or fish. The chain ferry is at the end of the street and can take you across the river where you can walk or ride your bike to the beach.

Having two (2) on-site parking spots is especially welcoming when you drive somewhere and come back later to find them waiting on your return and being the only two open spots anywhere around. - "What this property has going for it: Location. It's right on top of downtown Saugatuck, so art, eating, and shopping was just a very short distance away. When you walk out the front door, if you look right, you will see a boat launch a block and a half away. It's also in a quiet area, so it's possible to escape the tourist hub-bub for a quick afternoon nap. Other positives: Easy to find, easy to leave. The cottage itself has great air circulation. I thought it was great value for the price. It was perfect for what I was looking for. The only drawback is the size of the interior. It's tight enough that it doesn't have a full kitchen. This newer built home offers the best of both worlds with a trail directly behind the house JUST HALF MILE through the spectacular wooded dunes leading to Oval Beach/or half mile to the beach on Oval Beach Rd. (Perryman St.)...... AND...... just across the river from the heart of downtown Saugatuck/ STEPS AWAY FROM THE CHAIN FERRY (Runs Memorial Day thru Labor Day). Drive 2 miles around the harbor to downtown Saugatuck when chain ferry not in operation. Lower level includes bedroom with queen bed, full bath, laundry room. Upper level includes bedroom with queen bed and full bath... open floor plan living room with dining area and kitchen. Queen sleeper in living room. The upper level boasts a large furnished screened porch with dining area and has partial views of the Kalamazoo River. An open balcony overlooks the beautiful wooded dunes. The 6 person hot tub is just outside the entrance to the home running year round. This private setting is a great getaway in the woods yet close to all the action of Saugatuck.

- "This was our third stay at River Groove. It is a beautiful home in an ideal location. Nestled in the woods, it’s a great place to relax and unwind while being close to the beach and downtown Saugatuck. It’s a quick drive to the beach but also a nice hike through the woods if you prefer. The chain ferry is very close to the house and takes you right into town. The house itself is well designed and maintained. I particularly enjoy sitting on the screened porches listening to birds and the breeze through the woods. It is just a great place!"

This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom was remodeled in 2017 with spectacular views and access of the Kalamazoo river. This secluded cottage will make you feel like you are far from everything yet only few minute drive to downtown Saugatuck! This cottage is located on a very private setting with amazing views, indoor gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and charcoal grill. Take the stairs down to the river and launch your kayaks for a paddle on the kalamazoo river to town or try your luck at fishing. (There currently is not a dock at the property and the stairs are steep) The master bed has a therapeutic adjustable bed with a TV. The second bedroom has a queen bed and also has a tv. Note: you do have to walk through the master to access the second bedroom. The second bedroom has windows with no shades. The full bathroom is outfitted with a shower. The Captain's Cottage is where it all started. Back in the late 1940's my grandparents and great grandparents bought this home and the vision of Holiday Hill came to be. This historic cottage features a Master bedroom with King bed and in room full bath. The other side of the home features a second bedroom with a second full bath just outside the door complete with washer and dryer as well for longer stays. In the living space the sofa pulls out into a memory foam queen. In the foyer area, two large arm chairs pull out into two twin beds perfect for the kids.

This home features a very large kitchen complete and ready to cook large meals in. A full dining table accompanies a smaller breakfast nook. In addition there is a private back patio facing the forest. In the front yard you have a beer garden with corn hole or "bags." For the cooler fall nights there is a fully functioning gas fireplace.

Ours (#8) looked even better in person than it did online. The check-in process was smooth---the key code worked flawlessy and easily every time. Serenity and Relaxation is what you will find at Vivian Cottage. This historic cottage has been fully renovated. It sits on a half acre of woods and gardens. And you are only .8 miles from Town, which has tons of art galleries, bars, restaurants and shopping. The cottage has its original claw tub, screened in porch and a full kitchen. The owners lives on the property and is able to help with advice on things to do - but only if renter initiates contact.

INSIDE THE HOME
Cottage #22 features two bedrooms, one full and one 1/2 baths. All on the main floor, there is a master bedroom with a queen bed and separate guest room with one queen and one full bed. These bedrooms share a full bath. Living room has a TV, a cozy fireplace and a dining area. A fully equipped kitchen completes the interior.


THE LOCATION
Venture out and explore nearby Saugatuck, Douglas and Fennville. Centered in the West Michigan's Art Coast you will find an endless variety of shopping, dining, galleries and entertainment. Enjoy the local farm to table restaurants, wineries, breweries and cider makers.

Nearby Oval Beach is just a 10 minute drive and was named one of the top 10 beaches in the U.S. The beautiful white sandy shoreline and surrounding dunes are a true treasure. Treat everyone to a ride at The Dune Schooner or explore the coastline on The Star of Saugatuck and view the cottages and summer homes from a different perspective.

Local art and craft fairs are abundant and the Saugatuck Center for the Arts features live performances throughout the season as well as hosting a weekly farmers market. The opportunities to enjoy all this truly unique and vibrant community has to offer are endless.

The Oriole cottage is part of historic Bird Center Resort that has been catering to vacationers for 100 years and was fully renovated in 2005. This cozy cottage has all of the amenities for a great getaway that will keep you coming back. The studio space is small, but has everything you need with a kitchenette, queen size bed,TV and cable. Great outdoor Screened in porch and chairs on the deck with a partial view of Lake Kalamazoo, outdoor hot tub (open all year around) and a gas grill.

Located just three blocks from all the shops, restaurants, and galleries of downtown Saugatuck, and just 5 minutes to any area beach. Walk to town or take a ride on the two bikes available below the unit.

Inflatable mattresses or alternative sleeping other than pack n plays or cribs are not allowed. Tents are also not allowed on the property.
6.) Pets are not permitted. If a pet is on the property then there will be a $1500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet immediately.

The rentals at Holiday Hill sit atop a dune with a commanding view the Kalamazoo River and the city of Saugatuck. The Sundeck and pool area provide front row seats for catching rays and watching boats on the river. The hilltop offers a retreat from the bustle of summer yet is only steps away from the chain ferry to town shops, art galleries, and restaurants, and only a short walk to the beach. Of course, friends will want to know where you found a renovated, 12-acre farmhouse just under 2 miles from town and a five-minute drive to the beach. BUT damned if you're saying a word. They don't need to know THE ZOO offers the best of both worlds...the private, RUSTIC, country setting with star-filled nights or the crowds awaiting you in town. Nothing fancy, just fun!

The Zoo was willed to me in 1976. My summers on grampa's farm were great. You'll get a chance to relax in an old farmhouse provided with the luxuries of today. Stream your favorite shows after days in town or at the beach. Or end each day around the firepit. Memory making at its best.

There is not central air conditioning but three window units. It’s a 90 year-old farmhouse originally heated with oil. The Airbnb boarding process only lists central air under air conditioning options.

Get away to an adorable Mid Century Modern cottage in the woods. Nestled among the trees, this three bedroom one-and-a-half bath oasis features plenty of space for entertaining family and friends or just relaxing in the woods.

The space
The cottage is set back on a private wooded lot within walking distance of downtowns Saugatuck and Douglas!  Inspired by a love of camping, the yard is a getaway unto itself.  A retro fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs provides the perfect spot for night time s'mores with the kids or wine with friends.  The attached deck with propane grill gives you room to cook or relax in the hammock.

Inside, you'll find three bedrooms, one room with a queen bed and one room with a king bed separated by a jack-and-jill-style half bath.  A third queen bed can be found in the bedroom just beyond the second bathroom with shower.  The cottage has a small, but fully-equipped kitchen.  The large living room/ dining room has a sectional sofa that is also a pullout queen bed. A non- working vintage fireplace and the dining room table sit across from the sofa. There is also a flatscreen TV with complimentary streaming services.

This 2 bedroom 1 bathroom was remodeled in 2017 with spectacular views and access of the Kalamazoo river. This secluded cottage will make you feel like you are far from everything yet only few minute drive to downtown Saugatuck! This cottage is located on a very private setting with amazing views, indoor gas fireplace, outdoor fire pit, and charcoal grill. Take the stairs down to the river and launch your kayaks for a paddle on the kalamazoo river to town or try your luck at fishing.

The space
This house is the bottom unit of a newly renovated duplex house. Everything is new! You'll have the place all to yourself with one shared entrance (the front door) and your own separate sliding glass doors leading out to the patio. This listing is for the bottom-level apartment, but we encourage renting both levels if you have a larger number of people. Check out Aspen Perch on Airbnb - the upper flat of this house. If you are bringing grandparents or adult children, renting both spaces will provide togetherness and privacy at the same time. Contact us if you are interested in both as we offer a discount.

This house has a fully stocked kitchen - pots, pans, baking dishes, coffee pot, spices, olive oil and vinegars, you name it. Our family even cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner in this kitchen, so just about anything you could need, we've got it! We also provide the basics of paper towels, beach towels, beach chairs, even a few coffee pods to get you started! The open floor concept makes it easy to sit at the kitchen table, cozy up on the couch, or cook in the kitchen while all still being together in one open room.

There is one queen bed in one bedroom and two twin beds in the other bedroom. The bathroom in this house has a walk-in shower and plenty of counter space and drawers for toiletries.

There's a trail down to the nature preserve (about a 4 minute walk!) on the middle-right side of the yard.

The yard and firepit are shared spaces with the upper unit. We ask that you please be respectful of others staying on the property as you enjoy the lovely and peaceful outdoor spaces this house has to offer!

Guest access
The neighborhood is a few blocks from downtown Saugatuck so walking or biking is easy. If you decide to drive, you can park at the top of Hoffman Street and walk the three blocks to downtown or catch (some of the year) the shuttle. Downtown parking is not bad except at the height of summer. Saugatuck also offers the Interurban - a small van-like bus that you can call and go anywhere in Saugatuck or Douglas for $1. You can even catch the bus to Oval Beach and back. We have two parking spots per unit (two units). Street parking is possible if you have an extra vehicle.

Other things to note
When you walk in the front door, the set of stairs going down takes you to the bottom level, the set of stairs going up takes you to the upper level, and the washer and dryer are on the same level as the front door. The laundry facilities are shared with the upper unit.

This Quaint 2 bedroom cottage is part of Saugatuck history as Structure that was moved from the town of Singapore. Renovated down to the studs in 2019 with all the updated and amentities of a new home, central heat, central AC, Dishwasher, washer and dryer, outdoor webber gas grill. This two bedroom home has two bedrooms upstairs with queen size beds Which brings the capacity of this cottage to 4.

Stay in and prepare dinner in the full size kitchen, outfitted with granite countertops, gas stove and full size refrigerator or walk to any of the great restaurants downtown Saugatuck. There is a round table in a small dining room for for and room for two more at the island. There is a full size bathroom on the main level with a walk in shower. The living room has a 50" tv outfitted with a soundbar for your entertainment. After a full day out come back to the cottage and relax in the private 4 person hot tub. Our cozy 1930's cottage sleeps up to 6. The open-concept living/dining area has a queen sleeper sofa adjacent to a full kitchen. Pet Etiquette Expectations:
Dogs must be leashed when not in a fenced area. Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs and dispose of waste appropriately. Excessive or constant barking, especially during quiet hours, is not permitted. Dogs should not be left alone in the home for extended periods.

CLEANING FEES:
A cleaning fee is included and distributed across the length of your stay. This fee helps cover the actual cost of cleaning services provided by local professionals.

SALES TAXES:
In accordance with Michigan law, a 6% sales/use tax applies to the base rate and all additional fees (e.g., cleaning, pet, or extra person fees). Airbnb collects and remits this tax on your behalf.


BEFORE and DURING YOUR STAY:

Lawn care may take place during your stay, but not during early or late hours. An automatic sprinkler system runs during the growing season.

Please dispose of all garbage and recycling (Saugatuck does not offer weekly recycling) in the waste bins located near the side gate. On Sundays, we collect trash for Monday’s curbside pickup.

CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS:

Place all used towels in the bathroom and leave dirty linens on unmade beds.

Load and run the dishwasher with any dirty dishes before departing.

If you use the propane grill, please burn off food remnants and clean the grates with the wire brush provided (located near the propane tank).

Turn off all lights, close all windows, and adjust the HVAC to the specified temperature before leaving.

Welcome to your home away from home here in Saugatuck! The first thing you'll notice is how sparkling clean the house is. That's because we partner the absolute best cleaning partners in the biz. Next you'll be amazed how much bigger the home is than it looks in the pictures.

The Main Floor is where the adults will spend most of their time, between the fully stocked kitchen, sitting area with smart TV, or my personal favorite the Four Seasons room with windows on three sides. There's also the king master suite and a queen bedroom on the Main Floor, easy for anyone who doesn't do well with stairs. Additional highlights:

Other things to note
Please remember that you’re staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space, the surroundings, and the neighbors with respect. For us and our neighbors, the most important thing is to be seen but not heard, especially after dark. What that means is we adhere strictly to the quiet hours 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM. Noise and talking from the rear patio four seasons room with the door open carries very well, so if you are enjoying this space at any time, please keep your voices to a close, conversational volume. We have noise monitoring devices that will alert us if the noise is an issue. We also have neighbors who will alert us if noise becomes an issue.

Other than the need for our guests to play and enjoy the outdoor space at a reasonable volume, our house rules are pretty standard. No pets, no smoking, don't burn the house down. That kind of thing.

We DO NOT allow pets. We love animals and we know you love yours, but we cannot afford the cost to clean and maintain furniture and interiors associated with allowing pets.

Welcome to the Secluded Getaway cottage! Our home is conveniently located between the Kalamazoo River and Lake Michigan, making it the perfect spot for access to both beach and town. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood, close access to outdoor activities and the friendly deer which wander through the yard around dusk and dawn.

The space
This dog friendly, 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home is the perfect spot for families, couples or small groups. The cottage comfortably sleeps 10 adults, all in beds. The main bedrooms feature queen sized beds. The bunk room has a regular queen sized bed as well as two queen sized murphy beds. Two bathrooms are located on the main level of the home, off the bedrooms.
The modern kitchen has almost anything you would need for cooking- pots and pans, dishes, glasses, coffee mugs and other kitchen essentials. A highchair is also available for the little ones. Grab a cup of coffee with the convenience of a Keurig and a travel mug and stroll down to the beach for an early morning walk or to watch the sunset over the big lake.
Please enjoy the home, but please treat it with respect. This is our vacation home that we are happy to share with you and others.
Amenities for your enjoyment
Beach items are available for your use while staying at the cottage. You will find kayaks, beach cruisers and other inflatables as well as a beach bag and small picnic cooler. Please return these when you are finished using them.
Games are available for your use while staying as well. Board games are located in the closet off the hallway and lawn games are stored in the shed. Again, please return these when you are finished so that others can enjoy them in the future.
The downstairs area is a wonderful refuge for a rainy day or evening, complete with air hockey, foosball, ping pong and pool tables.
There is a gas grill on the back patio as well as patio furniture. Feel free to use the grill but ensure that it is cleaned prior to leaving.
Other items to note
Pet fees: A $75 pet fee for one dog, $100 for two, will be added to the reservation after booking. We love furbabies but no one likes to see remnants left in the yard. Please kindly pick up after your pooch.
Cleaning fees: A $195 cleaning fee will be added to the reservation after booking.
Please take any garbage accumulated during your stay out to the trash bin located at the top of the driveway.
Please leave all used towels in the bathrooms and dirty linens on unmade beds.

There’s plenty going on outside too. You can all gather around the fire pit in the back yard, making use of the variety of outdoor seating. You’ll also find games to play, a gas grill to cook with.

This is a kid-friendly home with all kinds of amenities and features available for younger guests, including a highchair, kids’ dinnerware, Pack ’n Play/travel crib, childproof outlet caps, and kid’s toys.

LAUNDRY ROOM
You might want to leave the laundry until you get home, but in case someone wants to wear the same top twice during your stay, there are laundry facilities here you’re welcome to use.

We’re all conscious about the need to be careful and clean these days. And to help, your hosts will ensure there’s 70% alcohol hand sanitizer, wipes, and masks available for you and your fellow guests.

Guest access
Your hosts are delighted to make this renovated home available for a group of up to 12 guests to enjoy. The house will be exclusively yours for the duration of your booking and you will have access to all areas, except for the mechanical room and owner closets in the basement.

Other things to note
No tabaco or marijuana smoking or smoking of any kind on premises. $500 fine for violation.

No party in or near the premises, no loud noise after 9pm. We are in a lovely and quiet neighborhood so we have strict quiet hours from 9pm to 8am.

We have a security camera ONLY at the front door.
