WHAT MAKES THE WINDHOUSE SO SPECIAL?
With comfortable furnishings throughout ranging from bedding to sofa, mattresses to dishware, you will be met with joy at every turn while at your lakeside retreat. Everything has been cultivated with thoughtful input in order to provide our guests the most inclusive lakeside beachy experience. From its charming tongue and groove ceiling to its beaded paneled walls, you'll feel right where you were meant to be. The lakeside deck is one of our favorite spots on the property as it offers inspiring south facing views of the lake. Capitalizing on our southern exposure, you are able to experience the best sunrise and sunset views. Waking up in your upstairs king size bed, you'll be able to lie there while enjoying unobstructed expansive views of the lake. There is also another balcony off the master bedroom giving you another perspective to enjoy. With a flat yard leading right up to the waters edge you'll be able to step right into the lake from your private water frontage. We also have a dock and boatlift available for use, so feel free to bring along the water toys!

WHAT MAKES OUR BEDROOMS SO INVITING?
With the utmost comfort in mind, we opted to upgrade to brand new beds and mattresses throughout all rooms. And then we thought, "who wants to sleep on a small bed?" So we put a king size bed in the primary bedroom and a queen size bed in the second bedroom. Taking it a step further and for the most convenience for everyone possible we also put up 2 bunk beds!

WHAT IS THERE TO DO?
The main reason we feel anyone would choose our cottage is to have the most genuine lakeside cottage experience. From the magazine quality style and furnishings, to the soaring lake views, to your private lake frontage the possibilities are endless. We are happy to be able to provide our guests with complimentary use of 2 kayaks, so if you're not able to bring your own boat, you'll still be able to get out and enjoy the water. If the weather doesn't fully cooperate, snuggle up in front of the wall-mounted tv and enjoy a movie on Netflix. We also have board games and decks of cards for those looking for something else. The cottage has WIFI connectivity for those needing to "stay connected." For those looking to get off property to enjoy a night out, our little lakeside cottage has its own neighborhood tavern; only a 4 minute walk offering a full dining menu and adult beverages.

- "The boats are sit on tops, not kayaks. The property was not prepared when I arrived. Leaks in roof, I could see through roof . Wet floor in bathroom. No towels were out. I had to vacuum up a broken dish upon my arrival. Dirty sponges in sink. And the deck drops off to lawn with no stairs. No one but a giant would call that a step. And the dock is unsafe, boards have holes and end was unsecure."

Welcome to Clementine Cottage! She's a cozy house tucked in a quiet neighborhood just 1 mile from the Racine Zoo, 2 miles from downtown Racine, and a 15 minute stroll to the lake. We've provided the perfect details for a fun and relaxing family stay.

The space
Enjoy a bubbling hot tub, white bathrobes, plush leather couches and private shaded yard for your morning cup of coffee. Hop on a beach cruiser for a 5 minute bike ride to majestic Lake Michigan (rated in the top 5 Freshwater Beaches by USA Today), then fire up the grill and soak in the hot tub when you return from your sea glass search. We took our mattress sourcing seriously - 2 king-sized Dreamclouds and 1 queen-sized Casper - and also made sure there are 3 separate TV entertainment spots so kids can watch their show while you watch yours! Also...we launder and clean thoroughly with hypo-allergenic, plant-based products. No plug-ins, candles or other overwhelming scents.

Please note that one of the King-Sized beds is located up a steep set of stairs on the second floor. There is a handrail and these steps are carpeted, however, if you have any mobility limitations it's worth considering that this particular room will be more difficult to access.

Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate pets. Guest who violate this rule will be charged a $100 per night, per pet fee. This fee is based on the length of the booking, and if there were any pets present during the booking.
