The sofa is a sleeper bed, offering additional sleeping arrangements. The open kitchen design ensures that everyone can socialize together without feeling separated. On the second floor, the primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Bed linens and towels are provided for the max occupancy of the home (Carol's Cottage has a max occupancy of 6). Laundry is available in the home during your stay, located upstairs.

During the warmer months, step out onto the deck from the living room to enjoy the wooded backdrop while sipping on a glass of wine and grilling up a BBQ feast on the gas grill. Carol's Cottage is dog-friendly (hypo-allergenic only) - a maximum of two dogs weighing up to 30 lbs each. A $150 dog fee applies.

Conveniently situated just minutes from Eagle Ridge Resort, the newly expanded Stonedrift Spa, Lake Galena, and scenic walking/running trails, Carol's Cottage offers the ideal retreat. Carol's Cottage is a short drive to all of the golf courses (South, North, East, and The General), a four-minute drive to the Country Store, a seven-minute drive to the Owners Club (featuring indoor/outdoor pools, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, and a game room), a 10-minute drive to Downtown Galena, Piggly Wiggly, and Walmart for any necessary essentials.

The Cottage on Lake Galena is a one of a kind property in the heart of The Galena Territory, a semi-private, 6,800-acre recreational and residential lake community located six miles outside the historic city of Galena IL. As part of your reservation, you will receive access to resort amenities such as The Owners Club which includes state of the art pool facilities and fitness center.

The Cottage on Lake Galena is a 2 bedroom property (access to the second bedroom is only allowed for 3-4 guest bookings) and is one of only a handful in the Territory overlooking beautiful Lake Galena. Amenities include an outdoor patio, private hot tub, multiple fireplaces, and sound system throughout.

You will have private access to the Cottage for the duration of your stay. The property includes a private driveway and parking area, beautiful fully furnished kitchen, dinning area, living room, outdoor porch/patio, hot tub, full and half bath, and master bedroom (The second bedroom will be kept locked for 1-2 guest bookings as it is only made available for 3-4 guest bookings).

The space
Welcome to Carol's Cottage, where you'll discover a charming and comfortable home that captures your heart from the moment you arrive.

On the main floor, you’ll find cozy living space and kitchen along with one bedroom. The main level is open and modern, featuring a wood-burning fireplace, smart TV, and a large sofa and side chairs. The sofa is a sleeper bed, offering additional sleeping arrangements. The open kitchen design ensures that everyone can socialize together without feeling separated. On the second floor, the primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom. Bed linens and towels are provided for the max occupancy of the home (Carol's Cottage has a max occupancy of 6). Laundry is available in the home during your stay, located upstairs.

During the warmer months, step out onto the deck from the living room to enjoy the wooded backdrop while sipping on a glass of wine and grilling up a BBQ feast on the gas grill. Carol's Cottage is dog-friendly (hypo-allergenic only) - a maximum of two dogs weighing up to 30 lbs each. A $150 dog fee applies.

Conveniently situated just minutes from Eagle Ridge Resort, the newly expanded Stonedrift Spa, Lake Galena, and scenic walking/running trails, Carol's Cottage offers the ideal retreat. Our guests also have access to The Galena Territory Owner's Club amenities, with six access cards provided for use of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, basketball, pickleball, and tennis courts, Lake Galena, and the Marina; select amenities may have an additional fee. While Eagle Ridge Resort amenities are reserved for their guests, our guests are welcome to enjoy Eagle Ridge's public golf courses, spa, and dining options available at the resort.

Carol's Cottage is a short drive to all of the golf courses (South, North, East, and The General), a four-minute drive to the Country Store, a seven-minute drive to the Owners Club (featuring indoor/outdoor pools, a fitness center, tennis and basketball courts, and a game room), a 10-minute drive to Downtown Galena, Piggly Wiggly, and Walmart for any necessary essentials.

Please note that we highly advise purchasing travel insurance for your trip, as we do not have a Covid or weather cancellation policy.
