The space
Conveniently located just off Highway 20 and 25 minutes from historic downtown Galena that offers museums, boutiques and restaurants located on Main Street.

The perfect weekend getaway or week-long vacation destination 25 minutes from downtown Galena. As you enter this 3 bedroom cabin the high ceilings will lead you into a waterfront view, with water views from every room you enter. Each space is uniquely curated to give everyone a sense of their own individual getaway while providing multiple gathering areas to hang out as a group. This cabin sits on the edge of the pond nestled amongst the forest on a private 50 acres estate. Open floor plan with fully equipped gourmet kitchen that includes an over-sized island for entertaining.

Indoor – The main floor features high vaulted ceilings, waterfront views, a walkout basement leading to your own private beach, and screened in porch for those indoor outdoor vibes. A master king bedroom with a full bath and soaking tub, and two lower level king bedrooms with a large full bath with laundry.

Upper level living room is an open floor plan leading into the kitchen space, and the lower level living space is equipped with a bar including a sink and beverage cooler for all of your entertaining needs. The lower level is also equipped with a foosball table which is enjoyable for all ages.

Outside you can take advantage of the beautiful scenery and sounds of nature on our large screened-in deck, or grill out on the patio. Enjoy a fire at night with our solo stove. There is plenty of yard and parking space. The cabin is situated on 50 acres with trails and a newly built 2+ acre pond to swim and fish in the summer and ice fish and ice skate in the winter.

In addition to feeling like you are staying at a luxury home in the woods, our cabin is located in a prime spot to all the amenities Jo Daviess County has to offer. Nearby attractions include downtown Galena (20 minutes) Eagle Ridge golf courses (15 minutes), Woodbine bend golf course (5 minutes), Massbach Ridge winery (10 minutes), Galena cellars winery(20 minutes), Highway 20 brewery (5 minutes),Shenandoah Esquire Center(20 minutes), Chestnut Mountain ski resort (20 minutes)

Pool*** - We have a beautiful, new pond on site. Clean, Clear and ready for swimming, kayaking, relaxing at the sand beach.

We do have property maintenance and security personnel. You may see them around the property during your stay

Our pond is semi-private and shared between our two rental homes, Cliffside Cottage and Cedar Cove Cabin. Guests of Cliffside Cottage have access to the beach area with the dock, while Cedar Cove Cabin has its own private beach area. The pond is enjoyed by all guests for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The Gleneagle Suite is our honeymoon/weekend getaway suite. It is a studio style rental. It is the bottom unit of our cabin with the Seven Sisters Suite. It has a full kitchen, living area, dining area, bathroom and a full size bed in a studio style setting. The sofa in the Living area is a sofa sleeper --so this rental could accommodate 4 guests.

Welcome to our cabin we call “Irish Hollow”. One of the oldest and original cabins at the lake. This cabin was hand built by a father and son in the earliest days of Apple Canyon Lake. This log cabin is as authentic as it gets. Immediately feel relaxed as you pamper yourself in luxury. The main floor master is absolutely amazing. The main floor bath has a jacuzzi tub, heated floors, and a wonderful shower.

This cabin literally feels like it was plucked from Ireland's countryside and placed so gently where it rests. We hope you enjoy our cabin with your family and friends as much as we do.

We absolutely love that we are located close to everything. You are just a couple blocks from the sports complex, pool, marina, cove restaurant, golf course, club house, and hiking path. Further away, the waterfall is a pretty sight to see and a great back drop for pictures. Across from the dam and waterfall is Harold Batham nature trail, walking only. Great place for a family walk. Please view framed map for beach and other attractions.

Nice front deck for visiting with friends and family. Sit around the campfire at night, located in the back yard. Extra spacious lot next door for playing games. Trail close to property for walking/hiking. You will have access to lake amenities, pool and beach, with tags provided. Lower level has sleeper sofa and T.V.

We try to supply some firewood for our guests as a perk, but it is not guaranteed. T.V. is dish network. Internet is Fiber-link (250 Mbps), usually very good, but in the rolling hills of Apple River Canyon, at times it is not, so make appropriate plans if this is a must.

The charming town of Galena only 15 miles away. Small towns in Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin within a 20 minute drive. Wisconsin is only 10 miles to the north.

Apple Canyon State Park, 10 miles away. Very nice scenic views. Multiple hiking paths. Worth your visit if you like the outdoors.

Don't feel like cooking every meal. One of our favorites, Old School Saloon, Scales Mound IL, 6 miles away. Excellent pizza and sandwiches. They have a 4.8 star rating for a reason. Need delivery, Thriving Thistle Market in Apple River delivers. Their sandwiches are excellent. Pizza is good. You can dine in as well.

Wonderful little town of Shullsburg, Wisconsin. (established in 1827, one of the oldest in Wisconsin) only 13 miles to the north. The restaurants in this small town are second to none. You won't be disappointed. We love visiting this small town.

We have other hidden gems that we recommend and share with our guests upon check in, including "Gravity Hill", 12 miles to the north in Wisconsin, you will be laughing as you roll backwards, up hill???

No Smoking, No parties, no bachelor or bachelorette parties. Sorry, no pets. Maximum guests 6. Minimum age of primary renter is 25.

We cannot lock in dates until deposit is received. Same date requests will be given to the first person securing it with a deposit. Three night stays are required during holiday weekends.

We enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets on the screened deck (big plus). The house is beautiful, nicely decorated, fully stocked with everything you would need. I really appreciated a toaster oven. A lot of dishes for a big company, lots of space upstairs and downstairs. Huge deck. Our son took advantage of his space downstairs feeling close but private. The house easily accommodates a family with several kids or two families. Beth (our host) is awesome. She was in touch with us, welcoming to the house, advising on the area attractions and activities. We didn’t have any problems with the stay but I’m sure she would be very responsive to our requests or concerns. We really liked Galena area. Surprisingly, there are lots to do. We went on the Segway tour on Chestnut mountain, stopped by the Galena Cellars for wine tasting, even explored Iowa’s Maquoketa caves. Galena which is about 10 min drive, very beautiful, frozen in time with lots of good eateries and shops. Just a walk down the Main Street and riverbank is relaxing and interesting. The locals are very nice, friendly and welcoming. PT Murphy magic show is a must. Overall, we had an amazing time!"

This home enjoys close access of the Galena Territories amenities including workout facilities, pools, game rooms, etc.

The Lodge has WIFI and comes fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils and standard small appliances.

Enjoy our floating cabin, located on the backwaters of the Mississippi River! This luxurious cabin was just built and has everything you need for a fun or relaxing getaway. This cabin has a custom kitchen, 3 queen beds, 1 queen sofa sleeper, 1 bathroom, and a beautiful rooftop deck with a hot tub!
It is located at Millennium Marina, which often features live music in the Summer. With being on the water, you will often see wildlife.

This custom cabin is located DIRECTLY on the waters of the Mississippi River. It is parked at our marina and DOES NOT MOVE.

You will have to walk on a dock to get to the cabin. Things are a little different than a typical "home", but its super fun! The roof may NOT be accessible at all times of the year (like when it is super cold, raining, or snowing). If there is ANY snow at all, we ask you be extra careful because it is a rubber roof. The rooftop area has a hot tub and outdoor furniture.
This rental is close to the restaurant and is connected to docks that customers park at.
NO EVENTS OR PARTIES ALLOWED AT THIS TIME.
We provide a coffee maker, toaster, stove, oven, and other kitchen items.

We also have boat slips available by the night or by the week. One uncovered slip is provided with your rental. PLEASE NOTE: we have no control of the river levels. This means that sometimes swimming is not possible because the water will be so low. Also, sometimes you cannot get your boat into our marina due to low water. If you plan on bringing a boat, please ask us if the water is deep enough. If you would like more details on how to check the river level, please message us.
Kayak rentals available from the restaurant on property, when they are in season. You get one free hour kayak rental for all registered guests (you can always ask about your specific time if interested in kayaks). Please ask about current restaurant hours if this amenity is important for you.

We have quiet time in the marina, and that starts at 10:00. We want everyone to enjoy the space and the water, so please be respectful of this time.

PLEASE NOTE- We are located on the Mississippi and WE DO FLOOD. We might have to cancel the reservation if flooding is in the forecast. The cabin will stay in the water year round! SWIMMING NOT ADVISED unless you understand the river and swim at your own risk. YES there will be bugs in the warm months! This cabin is DIRECTLY on the water. While we do our best to deep clean, there is no way to prevent the bugs outside.

My granddaughters had so much fun with all the available toys. It is a very kid friendly house … even to having children dishes/ flatware which the little girls loved. The lower level was awesome with pool and ping pong tables, etc and the hidden room was a big hit! The fire pit was really nice with lots of available firewood. It would have been nice to have another day to just enjoy the house and its amenities. Communication with the host (Beth) was excellent!! Extremely quick to reply to emails and checked in with us on arrival to be sure all good. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property. We would definitely stay here again."

This newly built floating cabin sits on the backwaters of the Mississippi River. It’s 1970s mod design is unique and fun! This rental has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a queen pull out couch. There is a full bathroom and a stocked kitchen.

The livingroom has an electric fireplace and smart tv with a queen size pull out bed.
The kitchen has a propane stove (no oven), full size fridge, toaster, drip coffee pot, k cup style coffee pot, french press, pots, pans, and everything else you need to cook a meal. There are 4 barstools at the counter, and 2 more folding barstools located in the bedroom to bring out to make a total of 6.
Each bedroom has a queen pillowtop bed with sheets and one cotton blanket provided. (If you tend to get cold, please bring an extra blanket with you). There is also a 32 inch smart tv in each bedroom. You will store your bags under the bed.
Your private deck has a hot tub and 6 person dining set.
During kayaking season, your rental also comes with a free hour rental per guest.
