If you don’t have a boat, you may rent one at Salt Springs Marina, or just swim the springs at Salt Springs Recreation Area, just 2 miles from the cabin!

You may also choose to never leave the cabin with beautiful Lake Kerr steps away from the cabin doors. Lake Kerr covers 2,830 acres of deep water roughly 2 miles by a mile wide. Shoreline unblemished by developers abounds.

Salt Springs is nestled in the center of Ocala National Forest off SR 19, just West of Lake George, Florida’s 2nd largest lake. This is the area that inspired Marjorie Rawlings to write The Yearling, an academy award winning story about a boy who befriends an abandoned fawn.
Salt Springs offers two small restaurants, bait shop, grocery store, ice cream stand, Dollar General, and a Subway at the gas station. This quiet, quaint cabin nestled in the back woods of the Ocala National forest is a great place to go swimming, walking on trails, bird watching and so much more! It's a quiet place down a well maintained dirt road. It's definitely a cabin like house similar to glamping. It has a window ac unit in main area and fans located in each room, shower outside of the home,and a kitchen with hot plates,electric frying pan, and other electric cookware to cook with, a full size fridge and grill outside! Enjoy grilling outside while you watch your family around the campfire. Salt Springs Recreation is near by for swimming , Silver glen and Lake Kerr is near for kayaking and boating. The yard is huge so bring your boat or kayaks!

Bring your boat, jet skis, ATVs, and Side-by-Sides! There are over 100miles of trails in the Ocala National Forest. There is a large amount of space for trailer parking right at the cabin. The Blue Crab has been a staple of this area for hundreds of years. Step outside The Blue Crab and take a walk around the resort, grab a seat at one of the outdoor seating areas, turn your eyes to the sky and there is a good chance you will see a Bald Eagle, or an Osprey flying high.

The Neighborhood:
Tree'Ke Resort is located on 13.86 acres of beautiful Live Oak trees and couple acre pond. Pop's Southern Buffet is located on site, offering delicious southern-style cuisine for lunch and dinner with breakfast buffet on Friday and Saturdays. Mom & Pops Country Store is expected to open in the summer of 2024, where you can stock up on groceries, snacks, and souvenirs.

- "As described but not shown was inside of old nasty refrigerator plus paint can, brushes & paint pans left in unsecured back yard. Had to clean up & secure filling holes before I let my small dogs in backyard. Otherwise the inside was clean & spacious if u need three bedrooms & one & one half bath which we didn’t as kitchen & living room were very small. TV not setup for service & had to contact host each day. The check in nightmare due to online invoicing problems with website left us nervous & locked out of cabin at checkin as we only had Vrbo- booking site to contact for help as had no other person to contact, felt abandoned & totally screwed on what to do. Website had little information to go on for instructions. Finally check in was resolved in a roundabout way, so confusing & alarming & felt stranded at arrival."

The Florida Palm, nothing screams you have arrived in Florida like the Palm Tree's. So we turned our premier cabin into the Florida experience. A newly remodeled 3/1.5 that is still getting some new touches. New fridge is in the works, paint, decor, mattresses, towels, etc.

We have lots of Palms around The Tree'Ke Resort but they are somewhat hidden by the giant majestive Water Oaks that occupy the property. Not to worry as you will find plenty of palm inspirations right in your cabin.

The space
The kitchen, living room and dining area are downstairs. The upstairs loft/suite is very spacious for singles and couples and has a king size bed, 50 inch Roku TV, office desk and work chair, full bathroom and sliding glass doors leading to a private upstairs deck. The kitchen is small but has everything you need including an oven, stove, microwave, mini fridge, air fryer, Keurig coffee maker, silverware, utensils and pots and pans. WiFi included.

We have a very strict no-pet policy, including emotional support animals (ESAs), due to severe allergies in our family and the presence of young children.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), only dogs that are individually trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability qualify as service animals. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not considered service animals under federal law and are not granted access rights to private short-term vacation rentals.

In the state of Florida, falsely claiming that a pet is a service animal is a second-degree misdemeanor, punishable by fines and/or jail time under Florida Statute § 413.08(9). Guests who misrepresent their animal as a service dog or violate our pet policy may face immediate cancellation of their reservation without refund, and may be reported in accordance with the law.

Unfortunately, we’ve been burned in the past by guests falsely claiming their pet was a service or support animal. This has led to extensive cleaning and pest control treatments, as well as lingering allergens that pose serious health risks to our family and future guests.

In addition, the presence of animals scares away the deer and bears that regularly visit the property — and enjoying this wildlife is one of the main reasons guests choose our cabin.

Come take a trip back in time at The Olde Salt Springs Camp, when living off the land was a way of life in this 75 year old cabin with all the amenities of a house but all the fun of glamping. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay just minutes from swimming,fishing, bird watching, kayaking,etc at one of the near by springs or rivers. This cabin is an adventure lovers dream. NO WIFI.

The space
This cabin is rustic and offers the bare minimum. The Cabin has all the things you may need for your stay but if you feel you may need or want something extra please bring it with you. The unit offers a kitchenette but no oven/stove, the cabin does have electric cookware for your needs.

Guests have access to the two burn pits,the grill, the whole yard in front and back of cabin.

GPS does not lead you right to the cabin, if you use GPS please put in NE 236th Terrace and then put the address in once you have arrived at NE 236th Terr. Cell service is spotty in this area down a narrow woodsy well maintained dirt road in the woods it is expected.

Wonderful waterfront view, with Canal access to Lake Kerr. The property sits on a ¼ acre with large windows offering nice views of the water and sunsets. Deer, otter, and a variety of birdlife, including Sandhill cranes and hummingbirds are often visible. Recreational activities may include hiking, fishing, canoeing, boating and water skiing. Lake Kerr covers 2,830 acres of deep water roughly 2 miles by a mile wide. Shoreline unblemished by developers abounds.

The space
The home is cozy, and comfortable. Sleeping arrangements include a bed and high-rise twin beds upstairs, or convertible couches downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped including a microwave and dishwasher. Central air/heat keeps you comfortable, whatever the season. An upstairs balcony overlooks the lake and various board games are provided to fill in-between outdoor activities.

The dock is currently under repair. A list of nearby boat ramps is provided, along with a map of the canal to Lake Kerr. For those who plan to boat or canoe, we recommend beaching vessels on the sandy bottom.

Please note, the property is not wheelchair accessible.

Because of the remote location, a weekly curbside trash service is not available. Guests must remove all trash from the premises on checkout. A map of nearby Marion County dumpster sites in provided in the information booklet.

Cottage #1 is in Salt Springs Resort on the shores of Little Lake Kerr in the Ocala National Forest. You’ll be among oaks draped in Spanish moss with a view of the sparkling lake in the distance. Sandhill cranes will visit. Sunsets over the lake are legendary. The cottage has a full kitchen, TV, WiFi, and sleeps four to six. There are pools, hot tub, fishing pier, and boat ramp. In nearby Salt Springs swim at any time of year. Silver Springs with its glass-bottom boats is a half hour away.

Gorgeous home in the National Forest. New Interior with cabin look and feel. This cute cabin has two bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full) and a full-size sleeper sofa. It has 1 bathroom. The living room has a rustic cabin feeling with a sleeper sofa, recliner, rocking chair and an electric fireplace. The full kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee pot. Coffee, tea, and condiment available to get your weekend started. The cabin has A/C and heat, a washer and dryer, gas grill, boat ramp, floating dock, and 2 carports to cover your toys. This cabin is located off Little Lake Kerr cove and has a private canal access to Little Lake Kerr and Lake Kerr. The 1/3 acre property is covered in beautiful oaks. Enjoy the fenced back yard with your furry family, picnic table, fire pit, and the floating dock. There is a canoe available for your use and kayaks upon request. The perfect place for a quiet weekend away in the middle of the forest.

There is a camping space available for your RV on site if you would like to have additional family or friends join you with your Airbnb cabin booking. Activities nearby include canoeing, kayaking, fishing, boating, hunting, hiking, nearby lakes and springs for swimming and skiing, and miles of ATV trails throughout the forest. Local beaches only an hour away. Salt Springs recreational area, Silver Glen, Alexander Springs, Silver Springs, and Juniper Springs are also nearby beautiful springs to explore.
Remember you are in the middle of a National Forest with many creatures from insects to animals. Wildlife you may encounter include deer, bear, fox, raccoons, alligators, many different species of birds, and yes, insects.
