This picturesque log cabin is nestled in the hills of the Mississippi River Bluffs. Perfect for a family getaway, a romantic weekend or can be used as a hunters paradise. Easy access to the river for a fun day of fishing. With plenty of local restaurants with amazing foods, just minutes away. You can tour the bluffs, go UTV riding, or go for a walk on the many walking trails along the Yellow River and Effigy Mounds. For the wine connoisseur, visit the area wineries in Waukon, Marquette, Lansing or Ferryville. This cabin features a large yard for parking and outdoor activities along with a picnic table. We are located on a county highway, just 1 mile away from town, which is where the public boat landing is. Just on the other side of the highway, are train tracks. The trains coming through are always blowing their horn, night and day, so something to be aware of! Some people love it, some hate it. The loft homes a queen sized bed and 2 double beds. Down stairs has a couch and a 2nd pull out couch with a reading space.

Guest have full access to the home along with a private dock included. Slip and boat lift are currently unavailable, but boats can park along the side of the dock.

We like to give our guest their space to enjoy their time. We are always available by phone or text if anything is needed.

This property is located along the bank of the Mississippi River. The river poses safety issues and should be respected. Life jackets are required on the dock for children under the age of 13. The risks associated with the use of the dock, swimming or boating are the assumed liability of the guests. The bank of the river consists of loose rocks that will slide and should not be climbed on.

There are active railroad tracks 25’ from the home. Please stay off the tracks. If you hear a train horn, be sure to check that no kids, people, vehicles, or other items are near the tracks.

Parking is limited to 3 vehicles. Please park on the gravel road as close to the building as possible to allow other vehicles to pass.

The neighboring property is currently under construction. Construction noise has not been an issue and is typically not active during the weekends or evenings. The crews will certainly respect the guest of this property.

The cabin is located a few miles south of Harpers Ferry and nestled in the woods beside Mississippi River with gorgeous views of Paint Creek down below. Surrounding the property is 8,000 acres of the Yellow River State Forest, with miles of hiking, biking trails, and horseback riding trails. Being very secluded and private with top notch trout fishing just beyond the front doorstep.

- "We had a blast. Verizon worked if you're connected to the wifi. But this property sits in the bluffs and is perfect for a get away. Trout stream runs right through the property and the added space for sleeping next to the main cabin was great. The town of Waterville is close and they had good food and cold drinks. We were looking forward to the hot tub but it wasn't quite as warm as we had hoped but it worked properly. The only downfall I would say is the amount of wasps on the property but being that it's in the middle of nowhere can't really hold anyone at fault so bring wasp spray. I would give this 10 out of 10 and look forward to staying here again."

- "Had a great time with family and friends" - "We had a wonderful experience staying in this well-stocked cabin. The rear deck was enormous and the view was beautiful overlooking a small pond at the bottom of a valley. At night we enjoyed sitting around the fire with the endless supply of firewood. Kindling pieces were a little tough to find, so we used lighter fluid to start the fire instead of kindling. The location was perfect. Set outside of town, but just 20 minutes to Prairie du Chien, WI, where there's plenty of stores and restaurants. Also very close to excellent recreational areas such as Effigy Mounds National Monument and Pikes Peak State Park. The cabin has 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, and 1 powder room on the main floor with 4 bedrooms and 1 full bath on the second floor. The rooms were perfectly setup for a large, extended family or multiple families to share. Overall, we had an excellent experience and would highly recommend staying at this luxurious and relaxing cabin."

Enjoy the quiet nights with a bon fire, or by the wood stove, or in the hot tub, or just sitting in the patio. Two covered sections give you options for rainy days as well. Located between Harpers ferry and Lansing.
