This lovely, newly remodeled cabin on the hill top of Lake Byllesby is a great get-a-way or vacation only 40 minutes from the Twin Cities and 45 minutes from Rochester. We are 15 minutes from North Field. The home Carleton and St. Olaf colleges. We are about 10 minutes from Cannon Falls. Red Wing is around 30 minutes away. Our winter guests enjoy skiing at Welch Village which is about 30 minutes away.

The lake is a hidden gem for sailing, fishing and boating. We have an incredible view from the cabin that overlooks 2000 acres of undeveloped boy scout property. The left side to our property is a public park with boat landing. This makes it a quiet and private lot on the lake. In the winter months, the lake is popular for ice fishing.

Public beach is located across the lake.

Relax on the deck with a book and binoculars to watch soaring eagles, woodpeckers, blue birds, Herons and White Pelicans.

Birders from all over the area come to our shore to see rare and unique migrating birds . The lake is a man made lake created by a dam. Water levels are higher in the summer and start decreasing around the time of the first freeze.

We have 2 kayaks, 1 canoe and a paddle boat for our guests. I get many pictures of our guest on the paddle boat. Many family laughs. Life jackets are included. We also have beach shoes. Our shore line is rocky. There is a bike trail that goes all around the area. It is one of the most beautiful trails in the country. You and your family can ride your bikes from Northfield all the way to Redwing.

There is an outdoor dining table with 6 chairs, 2 lounge chairs with cushions, 4 adirondak chairs and a hammock for your use. Walk down to the dock for some sunning, canoeing or fishing. Enjoy the warmth of the fire pit overlooking the lake, toast marsh mellows, tell stories and simply just relax under the stars.

The layout of the cabin is very clean and simple. 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, laundry area, heated sun room, living room and kitchen. The yard is big enough to play football, badminton, volleyball, bean bag toss. We have all of these games available for our guests.

There is also a flower garden and herb garden for your use.

We have had the cabin for 10 years. Each year we find more adventures nearby.

- "We loved our stay at the Lake Byllesby Cabin! The cabin was comfy, clean and extremely well stocked. The decor was so cute and the outside spaces very inviting. And the view, gorgeous! The kitchen was so well stocked. We brought our crockpot but didn’t need to because there were 2! If anything, it’s too well stocked that there wasn’t room for our groceries so we had food piled on top of the fridge, table and counters. You will want to bring your own serving bowls and platters as those were in short supply. Our teens appreciated the fast internet and smart TV as well as the yard games and boats. And we’ve had to buy Yahtzee for home because they loved the game so much. Our littles loved running around in the big yard, the cute animal decor, going for boat rides, the amazingly soft rug in the living room and making s’mores around the fire pit. I never could figure out how to put the hammock up, the lake access was overgrown and the dock is old and rickety but those didn’t deter us from having a great family vacation. We’re already talking about going back (likely in June next summer before the lake gets a little green) or maybe even going up to enjoy the lake in the winter."

Both free Wifi and parking on-site are accessible at Seasonal Cabin, sleeps 6 free of charge. Outdoor seating is also available at the apartment. What was once the candy shop, this cabin conversion boasts the best outdoor living space, a full kitchen + BBQ, a gas fireplace and is centrally located, just blocks from the Mississippi, National Eagle Center, Eagles Nest Coffee shop and so much more!! With a brand new Mint Tuft and Needle queen mattress you can bet on a comfortable night sleep!

Downtown Wabasha is eclectic and beautiful. There are many shops and restaurants within walking distance and ALL of them are unique to Wabasha only. Check out the hours listed on the store fronts to get a good laugh and see what small town life truly looks like.

Our cozy bungalow is a perfect place for people to enjoy while visiting all the sites of Wabasha and its surrounding areas. With two bedrooms, a kitchen and living room all on the same floor you will have the space and appliances needed to make your visit to Wabasha unforgettable! All appliances, beds (Queen bed = Brand new Mint Tuft and Needle mattress), couches, carpet etc are new and ready to be enjoyed. The kitchen comes fully stocked with all your cooking needs as well as a coffee machine and griddle for those leisurely mornings in! There is a fireplace that is duel sided and therefore is open to both the kitchen and bedroom. The bunkbed room is quite cozy but does its job!

The full kitchen has everything you need to whip up a quick lunch or heat up your leftovers. Since we are a beautiful bluff side location with lake views expect some traffic and train sounds. The Mississippi River Valley hosts many adventures! Highlights are kayak tours and art fairs! We are located 6-10 minutes from Lake City or Wabasha.
