We only had one bath towel for my wife and I. The bed sheet has blood on it. When we made the reservation the online price said $67 after fees & taxes. We ended up paying $88.41. The Little House on Prairie is a very cozy and comfortable home! This property underwent a complete remodel which was complete on July 1st of 2018. Unfortunately we had to close during covid, but we are excited to re-open in 2023!

The open concept kitchen, dining and living room creates a great place for sharing quality time with family & friends. All new stainless steel appliances in a well stocked kitchen. The main floor master bedroom is cozy and comfortable with a queen size bed and built in dresser. Additionally, there is an electric fireplace, small TV and game table space in the basement bunk room.

There is a small desk/office space located just outside the basement bunk room.

The kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, a raised seating bar with stools and is open to the living and dining areas. This is a great gathering space. The dining room features room to seat 6 very comfortably, with additional seating at the countertop bar.

The space
The property was built in 1900 and is located in the Red Wing Historical district. The "Yellow Door" which is what it is lovingly called has been completely updated in the fall of 2022.

You are greeted by an open porch where you can sit and enjoy the fall nights, or have conversations while someone is grilling the meal for the night.

Our condo is comfy and cozy and newly remodeled.

Two bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, full kitchen, washer and dryer, gas fireplace. Both bedrooms are on the second floor; the stairs up to the second floor are not steep but please be aware of this. Our couch is a full-sized pullout bed.

We have two decks that face the ever-changing Mississippi river. Relax on our decks with a glass of wine and watch the river: eagles, herons, egrets along with barges and boats of every kind.
Wander over to Slippery's bar and grill; listen to music on their outdoor patio or walk downtown Wabasha to shop and dine.
Remember that you are by the river so throw in a little bug spray with you for the evenings on the deck!

This room is a part of the Sunset Motel located directly across from Lake Pepin in Lake City, MN. The hotel consists of traditional single and double motel rooms, a 3 bedroom house, and 2-3 bedroom condo units. All of the units have shared access to our heated in-ground pool. All rooms have recently been equipped with electronic locks for a seamless check-in process. We are centrally located near some of the area's best attractions including public beach access, top restaurants, golf courses, and marinas.
