Newly remodeled in 2016, this getaway offers an open kitchen with brand new appliances, a large jacuzzi style bathtub/shower with heated bathroom floor, large master bedroom with spectacular lake views, a hot tub, boat house deck, a "pub" style bar, 85" television, Pacman/Donkey Kong arcade machine and more. The Lake House is adjacent to a lovely city park with swing sets and picnic tables. There is also a boat landing next to the park for those who want to bring their water toys.

Great swimming with a Lillypad water mat, paddleboards and kayak. There is also a nice dock, but please note that it is shared with two other neighbors and is technically on park property, yet accessible from the park staircase adjacent to my yard. Although I rarely see the neighbors when I'm there, once and awhile they might use it to access their boat or the lake. This is one of those neighborhoods where people are friendly, hang out together, enjoy the lake and kids play ball in the streets. It's a lot of fun that way.

Another note about this house. It is not a dedicated VRBO property. That means it will have some of my things - such as clothes in the closet. There will be plenty of space for your own things and it will be as cleaned up and inviting as you should expect. But some people prefer to have their rentals empty, so I just want you to be aware that it will have a lived in feel. I'm doing this as a fun way to share my house. It will include dishes, utensils, plenty of cooking tools, bath towels, beach towels, laundry detergent and probably an extra bottle of beer or two.

My Lake House has been designed for easy living and getting away from it all. It's not a new property - in fact it used to be a bait shop decades ago, so it still has that old house/cabin charm and its own wonderful imperfections. But a great effort has been made to create a cozy, enjoyable getaway where family and friends will enjoy life at the lake, all year 'round.

Only 25 miles from downtown Minneapolis and only 5 minutes from charming downtown Loretto where you will find some great eats and treats.

We interacted w Troy a bit in the yard; he has an interesting history and was a great host online and in person. As 3 people, the space worked well for us. Be aware that this is an upstairs apartment and there are other people/apartments/houses on premises but as long as they are kind guests like we had, there is enough yard space to enjoy and go around."

Welcome to my beautiful and family-friendly cottage centrally located in downtown Wayzata just a short walk to Lake Minnetonka. Wayzata is a safe, fun, and relaxing community full of delicious restaurants, outdoor activities, and wonderful shops. You’ll have easy, walking access to anything you desire to experience in our lakeside town while also having a private, cozy space to return to in a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood.

The house is two levels - a main level with one bedroom and 1.5 baths and a basement with a full bath. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and the basement has a queen size murphy bed. There are three large smart TVs throughout the house where you can set up your Netflix, Amazon Prime, Spotify, etc. There is a fully equipped kitchen, coffee and tea bar including a Nespresso machine and pods, as well as cooking essentials (olive oil, salt, pepper, and other spices). There are threes separate outdoor spaces - a large screened in porch, a BBQ and dining space, and an outdoor sitting area. NO recreational vehicles, no boats, no more than 2 cars, cars must be parked in driveway, no parties of any kind and no large gatherings. Strict noise ordinance 9 am - 9 pm.

The beds were very cozy and the fact you don't have to gather linens and such, like most rentals when paying a cleaning, was much appreciated for our very early morning flight. It has all the needed amenities to stay and eat in with a nice patio and outdoor dining table, but is also around the corner from Wayzata and other lakeside communities to enjoy dining waterside. This is a finished lower level, rarely used and completely furnished. You share an entrance with the owner, but your space is all your own! Sleeps 4 comfortably with two bedrooms; 1 King, 1 Queen. Really everything you need for a super comfortable stay! Almost new sectional, ping pong table, throwback electronic game table, kitchenette, etc.

- "We were very comfortable in the apartment. Please be aware, however, that it is on the third floor, and no elevator service." - "My father and I stayed here for 2 nights in June 2018 while visiting nearby family. The apartment isn’t far from the city, but be warned that there are no restaurants, etc., within walking distance so you’ll need to have a car to get around. The apartment is very spacious and has all amenities needed for a long and comfortable stay. The decor is interesting, and while not exactly my style, it is very nice. There are TVs in both bedrooms and the living room, a well-stocked kitchen, and a balcony (though no seating, which would be nice). Overall, the unit is very nice and clean. A few things to keep in mind: there is no central AC. There are window units in the living room and larger bedroom. This wasn’t much of a problem for us; we left the units running and doors open, and each slept with only a sheet. A window unit in the other bedroom would be an improvement. Also, the doorways to the bathrooms are narrow, and the bathrooms themselves are quite small. Again, not a problem for us, but be aware of this if you require accommodations. Finally, the staff was terrific. We had a difficult time checking in because management was ironing out some wrinkles in their short-term check-in process (they usually rent on a longer-term basis, apparently), but they were kind, patient when we started growing impatient, and were very helpful when we had questions."

We have a driveway as well as additional parking right out in front of our home on the street.

This recently remodeled home is located on a really large pond that we like to call a "lake". It boasts 2 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, 2 living rooms, and 2 offices. It also has a completely updated kitchen and dining room along with 2 fireplaces so that you can cook and entertain in luxury. In addition to the two beds, there are two very comfortable couches in the living rooms.

We also have a sprawling yard overlooking the pond with deck outside off the kitchen as well as sitting area with accessibility from the basement sliding door.

We have parking right on our property located on the driveway. Ubers and Lyfts are really quick to the location shall you choose to take one for the night. We have a beautiful walking neighborhood and highly recommend walking through to see all the beautiful houses, each one is completely unique from the other.

Please note that as this is our primary residence, guests will not have access to the closets, drawers, and storage rooms. Thank you for your understanding.

Pets: We’re pet-friendly! Up to two pets are welcome per stay, with a $150 fee per pet.

Service Dog Policy

At Roxy Rentals, we’re happy to host guests traveling with service dogs — they’re part of the experience too! If you’ll be bringing a service animal, please send us your documentation in advance. Once verified, there’s no pet fee for service dogs, as required by law.

For Zen Den on the Water by Downtown Wayzata, we’re pleased to welcome one pet during your stay. Cats can be considered upon request. Anything more than one pet can be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Under local ordinances, service dogs may not be left alone in the home at any time — this ensures their comfort and keeps our space in great condition for all guests.

- "JJ was extremely accommodating before and during our stay. Her house is clean and décor is phenomenal. The house is perfect size for a few couples. We always bring our dogs with us on vacation, and this property was dog friendly. It has a large fenced in yard that we all enjoyed. Downtown Wayzata is a short drive away, and a cool area to visit. We had truck issues over the weekend and the repair shop kept pushing back the day it would be finished, JJ was very nice in letting us book another day at the last minute. Thank you for letting us stay at your house and if we're back in MN we'll definitely re-book again!"

- "My extended family of 9 stayed in this house for 8 nights, and had so much fun. The house is located at the end of a quiet street, surrounded on 3 sides by water and gorgeous views. We were mesmerized watching families of ducks and geese swim and stroll through the yard. The house is huge with plenty of room for everyone. In addition, the house is located very close to the heart of Excelsior with plenty of great restaurants and shopping. Anna was wonderful and so helpful to us during our stay. The only thing I would mention to future renters is to be aware that there are a lot of bugs due to the proximity of the lake. It wasn't a problem for us, but something to be aware of in case anyone would be bothered. We had a wonderful week! Be sure to check out Lagos Tacos for fabulous walleye tacos and Miyabi's for the best sushi we've ever had."
