The Little House on Prairie is a very cozy and comfortable home! This property underwent a complete remodel which was complete on July 1st of 2018. Unfortunately we had to close during covid, but we are excited to re-open in 2023!
This cozy two bedroom home accommodates up to six people comfortably.

The open concept kitchen, dining and living room creates a great place for sharing quality time with family & friends. All new stainless steel appliances in a well stocked kitchen. The living room hosts a 55" SMART HDTV, comfortable furniture for snuggling in and hanging out. There is great space for outdoor enjoyment. The backyard patio provides an opportunity to enjoy outdoor dining, yard games, relaxation and a backyard fire pit is a great place for sharing stories and quality time. There is wifi for those who prefer to stay connected.

The screened in front porch is a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee, read, visit or just relax.

The main floor master bedroom is cozy and comfortable with a queen size bed and built in dresser. The second bedroom, located in the basement, is very large and has one queen size bed and two twin beds, the beds are co-located in one large bunk room with a privacy screen between the sleeping areas.. Additionally, there is an electric fireplace, small TV and game table space in the basement bunk room.

The kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, a raised seating bar with stools and is open to the living and dining areas. This is a great gathering space. The dining room features room to seat 6 very comfortably, with additional seating at the countertop bar.

The home is the perfect place for friends, family, small group or romantic get aways! There is great spaces for socialization and yet privacy for those who choose to go to bed early or sleep-in.

For the fishermen in your family, there are plenty of walleye, northern pike, bass, and sunnies (for those little guys and gals!). And of course Lake City is the birthplace of waterskiing, so the perfect place for water fun!

- "The studio condo was very comfortable with sleek, stainless-steel appliances, marble countertops, well-designed furniture and more. As nice a space as you could want. We loved the location, being a block from the river and right off Main Street with access to all the shops and restaurants. Note: We did find it odd that there was not one hook or rack in the bathroom so where do you put your washcloths, hand towels, etc. after using? We had to improvise and use door handles and the shower door. Seems a few hooks and/or towel rack are in order."

In addition to the lovely bedrooms and living rooms, there's a full kitchen if you'd like to cook on site, including a full compliment of pots, pans, bakeware, dishes, silverware, etc. We do provide dish soap, spices, oil and a small selection of tea. Bring your own coffee supplies, food, beverages, sunblock and mosquito repellant. We walked all over Lake City and the weather was wonderful even though it rained on our way out. A/C worked perfectly, beds were very comfy. It was myself, my 15 year old son and his friend. We did a day of fishing with a guide on Lake Pepin and caught a trophy walleye on top of hitting our limit. We bowled at the small bowling alley in town and hit the farmers market and grocery store. Had breakfast at Heidi's Hugamug - yum! We also hit the MN Zoo - it was just okay. :) Thanks for being great hosts! Would stay again!"

The space
This is a small 1BR apartment best-suited for 1-2 adult guests. (We list max occupancy as 4 primarily in order to accommodate a small family of 2 adults and 2 younger children.)

There is a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull-out couch in the living room.

Our apartment is a roomy and open private apartment in a corner lot triplex. The apartment has a lot of windows to allow plenty of natural light.

You will have the whole apartment to yourself, but there are other tenants in the building. The only shared space is the building's front door and entryway, which is shared with the apartment upstairs. Guests are welcome to enjoy the front porch and the yard.

IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

HOSTS NOT ON SITE: We do not live on site. Both of the other apartments in the building are occupied by other long-term tenants.

SHARED BUILDING/NOISE FROM OTHER TENANTS: The AirBNB apartment is the lower unit in a triplex, so there will be noise from the other tenants. It may be more noticeable if you are not used to living in a building with other apartments/tenants.

One of the other apartments is around the side/back of the main part of the building. That is a separate apt occupied by tenants and is not part of the AirBNB.

The building is also near downtown on a main street, so there will be noise from traffic. Being from Minneapolis, we don't notice the noise from traffic, but others might.

SECOND BED: The second "bed" in the apartment is a pull-out located in the living room.

BATHROOM: The only bathroom is inside the bedroom. It is only accessible through the bedroom.

AIR CONDITIONING: The air conditioning is a window unit in the living room. There is NO central air. However, there are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom and a stand-up fan in the living room that can help blow the cooler air from the air conditioner in the living room into the bedroom. Also, you are welcome to turn off the air conditioning and open the windows for fresh air instead, as the nights can be cool and fresh in Minnesota.

Guests have complete access to unit, front porch and yard.

Other things to note
Red Wing offers easy access to a lot of outdoor activities. The Cannon Valley Trail (paved bike trail) starts in Red Wings and runs to Cannon Falls. There's also local mountain biking trails, hiking at Barn Bluff, and river access (including fishing). Close to Welch for skiing and mountain biking. If you're not the outdoors type, Red Wing has a lot to offer in terms of local shopping, restaurants and art, as well as local festivals.

Kitchen currently stocked with toaster, coffee pot, coffee mugs, plates, bowls, drinking glasses, a large skillet, a large stockpot, a standard-size saucepan, two rectangular casserole/baking dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils. There is oil and salt and pepper but no other cooking ingredients.

The City of Red Wing requires the collection of a 3% city lodging tax that is paid to the Visitor Convention Bureau. This tax is charged and paid at booking as it is included in the nightly rate.

The space
This charming house was just completely renovated for a new fresh update. This home offers just about anything you could need, and if you request anything additional prior we are happy to accommodate. The bedrooms have extra blankets and pillows. We offer a few games and movies for the home if you are planning a night in. We also have a bricked patio out back, along with a fire pit. A curling iron and hair dryer along with shampoo, conditioner and body wash are offered for your convenience. A coffee maker, with coffee and extra condiments for your meals along with all utensils you could need in the kitchen. There is off-street parking and a long driveway for approximately 4 cars. Nice safe neighborhood within walking distance to the gas station, grocery store, downtown, restaurants, and riverfront views. If you have any questions, please ask.

In bedroom 1, the two queen size beds offer two bed firmnesses. The first bed upon walking into the room is softer and the second bed has more of a firm mattress. In bedroom 2, we have a pad on the queen bed to make it plusher and very soft. All three mattresses are a tad different to offer everything they need for your sleeping needs

The driveway parking area is yours to use, you can park 4 full size vehicles in the allocated area comfortably. We do not allow parties, we want to ensure all guests have a pleasant quiet stay.

Welcome to our beautiful 1905 Clarence Johnston built home! Enjoy the peaceful English gardens, have coffee on the front porch. Phenomenal views of Barn Bluff and Memorial Park, walking distance to downtown and close to many hiking and biking trails. Enjoy the local eateries, coffee shops and unique gift shops. Voted one of the most unique and beautiful small town in Minnesota!!

The space
Our beautiful third floor space comes complete with queen size bed, mini fridge, coffee/tea, microwave, fireplace, private bath with shower, television, free wifi. Also, is an extra loft space above which easily accepts a queen air bed for extra guests!! This space is much larger than even the photos depict!!

Enjoy the front porch for coffee in the morning, with beautiful views of Barn Bluff and Memorial park. The courtyard has a table and chairs and lounge chairs for relaxing in the gardens. A private seating area for 2 is near the relaxing fountain.

The Birch Studio is located at Bending River Cove Resort near other tiny home vacation rentals. The studio is located near a few tiny homes and shares a wall with the main cottage. Each property has its own private outside area and entrance. Expect train and traffic noise due to bluff side location.

1 bedroom apartment located in the country with beautiful views of wooded hills and a lush valley pasture. The property has been in the family for over 160 years. Located 7 miles outside of Historic Red Wing, you can quickly get to surrounding destinations while still experiencing the privacy and peace of staying in the country.

The space
Completely renovated and updated bonus room above a 3 car garage. Has bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen with island, living room space with L shaped couch, queen size cabinet bed for extra guests in the open living area outside of the bedroom. Family lives on property and utilizes the outside areas on the opposite side of the house giving you complete privacy on your side of the detached garage/apartment space. Garage is used to park cars, so occasionally you will notice the garage door open and close.

Located at the end of a quiet road, you'll be far from the bustle of the city and surrounded by the serene beauty of the countryside. Cozy, Vintage Home, Quiet Neighborhood, Walk or Bike to Lake City's Attractions. This Vintage home built in 1900 purchased as our family home in 1987 was given the name Captain's Quarters in memory of Riverboat Captain Mark W. Peters. Mark piloted the paddlewheeler Hiawatha, on the Mississippi River and gave guided tours on Lake Pepin. We have been hosts welcoming guests since 2014 licensed and inspected by the Minnesota Department of Health.

The space
The guest room being offered is ideal for one couple looking for a private quiet getaway in Lake City, with a queen size vintage style bed and electric fireplace. In addition to forced air heat and central air conditioning, the bedroom has a ceiling fan. The room is furnished with some antiques and vintage collectables. You will also find conveniently placed in the closet robes, extra towels, and a shower mat.
