Cottage home on the lake near downtown Stillwater. This little oasis is surrounded by trees and 400 feet of lakeshore. Enjoy a relaxing stay in this clean, cozy, retro-feel Stillwater home. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. Just two blocks from Stillwater’s historic downtown Main Street, and three blocks from the majestic St. Croix River.

Park your car right in the driveway and head out to see all Stillwater has to offer!

Just a short walk to many shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as Pioneer Park, the downtown River Market (a local health and grocery store), movie rental, local farmer’s market on summer Saturdays, Teddy Bear Park, yoga classes, massage and spas.

Tackle any of the three sets of famous Stillwater stairways and enjoy panoramic views of downtown, the historic lift bridge, and the river. (Can you count the number of stairs?)

In town for a wedding? The 3rd Street Inn is directly across the street from the Stillwater Public Library, the Episcopal church of Ascension, and Trinity Lutheran church. It’s a great staging spot for the wedding party or guests.

Off-street parking available for four cars. On-street parking in front of house is legal as well.

Our 3rd Street Inn sleeps 9 people comfortably. Two bedrooms have new queen size beds and the other bedroom has a bunk bed with a twin over a full. The 4th bedroom is a pop up room with a queen size air mattress. The living room has a new queen sleeper sofa. Take a warm bath in the old fashioned claw foot bathtub, or a shower in our newly remolded lower level bathroom. Whip up some yummy meals in our fully stocked eat-in kitchen with stainless steel appliances & gas range. The dining room seats six without the leaves in the table. There are two leaves. Living room has a 40 inch TV with cable and Netflix. Hook up your iPod to the dock and enjoy your own playlist. We have on site laundry. A lovely back yard with patio furniture and table & chairs. There is a gas grill located on the back patio as well.

You are only a 30 minute drive from the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Why not take in a Twin's game, or go and see the new Guthrie Theater, which is architecturally breathtaking. Maybe your goal is to see the place where Mary Tyler Moore threw her hat into the air, or to go shopping at Woodbury Lakes or the Mall of America. From here, your options are limitless.

We hope during your stay that you create many fun and precious memories, and that you'll revisit us year after year. Our home is clean and comfortable, not super fancy. Our home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and was originally built in 1890 and remodeled in 2004. Modern updates with character of an old house. It is conveniently located close to Highway 36 and easy to find.

There is an apartment above the detached garage that is occupied by the owners during the off season (fall through spring). We happily accept well-trained dogs in our home, the backyard is fenced in.

The Main Street Loft is a unique space with a mezzanine level, two bedrooms, and two living rooms. Located directly on Main St it gives you access to all that downtown Stillwater has to offer, right within walking distance! There's plenty of space, but it still feels cozy. A large bathroom with plenty of towels and basic shower supplies, and a full kitchen stocked with everything to prepare and serve a basic meal. Guests will be sure to have an amazing stay! Two porches on a large double lot with gardens, bird feeders, and plenty of outdoor seating. An artfully equipped and very comfortable home, it was owned by my Grandma! Main level : One bedroom with Queen size 'Casper' memory foam mattress, full bath, W&D, 2 porches living room & kitchen, Upper floor: 2 bedroom ( 1 room Queen size 'Casper' memory foam mattress & toddler bed, 1 room with two single beds) half bath, large common area. The house invites you to stay! The St. Croix River Valley offers some of the best cycling in the midwest. We have many lightly used paved roads to explore on either side of the river and the nearby Browns Creek Bike Trail.

Upon booking acceptance, rental contract must be signed and a copy of driver's license provided.

There's also no smoking of any kind allowed. The building, built in 1888, has gorgeous stone and brick walls, originally a warehouse, hard wood floors, renovated to 3 lofts in the late 80's early 90's, tons of character, perfect for vacation stays! We have undergone a complete restoration and renovation - bathrooms are new with stone and granite. Kitchens have high end stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Original floors, doors and woodwork are refinished. Each unit has a washer and dryer.
The yard is lovely, and we have outdoor tables and a grill.
Be sure to bring your bikes! We are located directly across the street from the 0 mile marker for the Brown's Creek Trail. If you haven't been on this trail, you are in for a treat! It meanders through the woods and bluffs, crossing the creek in a number of spots.
Our yard also abuts a set of the infamous "Laurel Street Steps" - a walk up these steps takes you directly into Pioneer Park, where the photo ops are amazing.

The suite is located on The North Hill of Stillwater. We're located about 6 blocks up the hill from downtown shops, pubs,restaurants & the St.Croix river.

The suite is capable of sleeping up to 4 persons as we have a fold out couch with extra linens.

The use of our spa is available from march through November for an additional $30.00 per night. Spa hours are 9am to 10pm daily.

Any ada approved service animals must be present with owners @ all times and are not to be left unattended at any time during your stay.

This is a beautiful, cozy apartment! There is a queen size bed in the master and king bed in the second bedroom, so up to 4 guests can sleep comfortably. It is located in a residential area that is less than two miles from downtown Stillwater, right in the St Croix River valley. Close to everything you could need and want while visiting the area. QUIRKY LITTLE THINGS TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE YOU BOOK:

With so many b&b/hotel offerings in the River Valley, you should choose the best one that fits all of your needs instead of picking one that "sort of" works. I want you to have a great time, enjoying our amazing loft in a fantastic location, in our amazing little town, that fits your expectations. So, please be aware this space may not be the best fit for you in regard to the following list of quirks below. In full disclosure-

+ NOISE: There is a low speed fan in the loft that runs 24/7 as part of the buildings ventilation system. It cannot be turned off. Most guests have not had an issue with this noise, but you may wish to bring earplugs just in case!
+ STREET NOISE: Although the floor is soundproofed to prevent noise coming up from the bar, you might hear a quiet bass drum from time to time and you will definitely hear the lively noise from Main St below your window. With the convenience of being right on Main Street and all it has to offer, so does the noise that comes along with staying directly above a thoroughfare. Motorcycles are loud, bachelorette parties are loud, you will definitely hear live music during patio season. It adds to the excitement of being right on Main Street unless you are someone who wants it dead quiet! So please take that into consideration before booking.
+ SOFA: The sofa isn't meant for sleeping. If you book the apartment with plans for a 5th person to sleep on the sofa you will be disappointed.
+ VISITORS: No more than 3 extra visitors are permitted in the building at any given time.
+ TV: There is no cable or local free channels. Log in to your own pre-paid streaming accounts.
+ RESTAURANT ACCESS: There is no direct access to the restaurant from the apartment, for your safety and ours.
+ DISCLAIMER: With a the charm and history that comes with one of the oldest buildings in Stillwater (and MN for that matter), so do some quirks. The brick used is the original “Ohio Brick” from the 1800’s and they are meant to “breath”, letting moisture in and out, expanding and detracting in the cold and warm weather that Minnesota is known for. This means you might catch some crumbles or brick dust. We maintain these bricks with the help of Minnesota’s Historical Society and replace them on a need basis. Please be aware and be gentle with them.

The space
This space is a full, one-bedroom apartment located above a detached garage and workshop located on the owner's property. The two-car driveway is for guest parking, and a sidewalk leads from the driveway to apartment entrance. There are Adirondack chairs available for outdoor seating near the property's vegetable garden and berry bramble.

The living, dining, and kitchen spaces coexist in an open-floor layout, with the laundry and bathroom separated by a pocket door for noise-reduction and added privacy. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash, towels/washcloths, a hair dryer, and iron/board are available for guest use.

The kitchen is fully stocked with any cooking and eating items you may need to prepare complete meals or simple snacks: cookware, diningware, mixing/serving bowls, measuring cups and utensils, plates/bowls. There is a stovetop teapot and coffee maker in addition to other useful appliances: toaster, microwave, range, and fridge.

All sleeping spaces (loft-futon and queen bed) are in the same bedroom with additional pillows and blankets available to meet your needs. A full-length mirror, large dresser, and walk-in closet allow you to unpack and make yourself at home.

We call this space we are renting the "barn apartment". The building looks like a big red barn from the outside however it has never been used as a barn, only built to look like one. The apartment is on the 3rd floor of the building. It is nestled in a clearing of 5 acres surrounded by trees and with a small apple orchard. The apartment is fully furnished. The barn building is located on 54 acres of land so it is a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful short or long term retreat.

The space
We are conveniently located a 1/2 mile walk from Square Lake Beach. Square Lake Beach hosts many biathlons and triathlons as well as has a beautiful sand beach and has full-time lifeguards in the Summer. Our roads are loved by bicyclists and motorcyclists throughout the Spring and Summer months. We are a 15 minute drive into downtown Stillwater and the beautiful St. Croix River. We are a 30 minute drive into downtown Hudson, just across the St. Croix River in Wisconsin. The city of St. Paul is a 45 minute drive and the city of Minneapolis is a 55 minute drive away for a fun night out or day trip.

Guests will rent the entire apartment on the 3rd floor. There is outside access to the apartment only. The 2nd floor of the house is just ours for occasional friends and family gatherings, the basement of the house functions as a garage. The basement and 2nd floor are not part of the apartment rental.

Other things to note
Our driveway is long and curves quiet a bit. It can be intense in the wintertime. We do suggest that you have good all season tires and preferably all wheel drive, if not a 4-wheel drive vehicle. We plow our driveway ourselves and we do salt and sand quite a bit, we drive up and down our driveway too so we do our best to keep it clear. We do request our renters to keep their short drive and parking area cleared for themselves and their outdoor steps to the apartment cleared off.

While it is preserved of it's historic charm, this 2 bedroom loft has been updated with modern amenities like a jacuzzi tub and fully outfitted kitchen for those looking to do some cooking with the produce from the coop down the street.

Located above Howard's Bar directly on Stillwater's historic Main Street, you are not only steps away from delicious food but all of the charm that the St. Croix River Valley has to offer - Amazing antiquing, art galleries, boutiques, tasty bites, and bars jam packed with character where ever you turn. QUIRKY LITTLE THINGS TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE YOU BOOK:

With so many Airbnb/hotel offerings in the River Valley, you should choose the best one that fits all of your needs instead of picking one that "sort of" works.  I want you to have a great time, enjoying our amazing loft in a fantastic location, in our amazing little town, that fits your expectations. So, please be aware this space may not be the best fit for you in regard to the following list of quirks below. In full disclosure- 
 
+ NOISE: There is a low speed fan in the loft that runs 24/7 as part of the buildings ventilation system. It cannot be turned off. Most guests have not had an issue with this noise, but you may wish to bring earplugs just in case!
+ STREET NOISE: Although the floor is soundproofed to prevent noise coming up from the bar, you might hear a quiet bass drum from time to time and you will definitely hear the lively noise from Main St below your window. With the convenience of being right on Main Street and all it has to offer, so does the noise that comes along with staying directly above a thoroughfare. Motorcycles are loud, bachelorette parties are loud, you will definitely hear live music during patio season. It adds to the excitement of being right on Main Street unless you are someone who wants it dead quiet! So please take that into consideration before booking.
+ SMELLS: The back wall of the loft shares a wall with the prep kitchen. Howard’s Bar is a from-scratch kitchen so you might catch a pleasant smell of braised beef, a chicken stock rolling over night, or anything else that comes along with the territory. It is faint and not all can smell it, but if you are sensitive to smells, this might be a deal breaker for you!
+ SOFA: The sofa isn't meant for sleeping. If you book the apartment with plans for a 5th person to sleep on the sofa you will be disappointed.
+ VISITORS: No more than 3 extra visitors are permitted in the building at any given time.
+ TV: There is no cable or local free channels. Log in to your own pre-paid streaming accounts.
 + RESTAURANT ACCESS: There is no direct access to the restaurant from the apartment, for your safety and ours.
+ DISCLAIMER: With the charm and history that comes with one of the oldest buildings in Stillwater (and MN for that matter), so do some quirks. The brick used is the original “Ohio Brick” from the 1800’s and they are meant to “breath”, letting moisture in and out, expanding and detracting in the cold and warm weather that Minnesota is known for. This means you might catch some crumbles or brick dust. We maintain these bricks with the help of Minnesota’s Historical Society and replace them on a need basis. Please be aware and be gentle with them.

Our RV sits on a double wide campsite overlooking Golden Pond. It has a stone patio and deck to enjoy the outdoors. Down the stairs towards the pond sits the campfire. Attached is a screened in porch and plenty of patio space to relax, play games, or share a meal. The RV can sleep up to four people with a private bedroom with a Queen mattress and a Full size pull out couch in the living area. Perfect for a family of four. Four adults will be tight. There is a TV hooked up to the wifi if you decide to login to any of your streaming services. There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet and shower. The kitchen has all of the essential cookware and tableware. We also provide a Keurig coffee maker with plenty of K-cups to enjoy your morning brew.

Other things to note
The Holcombe Loft is a 1/2 mile walk to downtown Stillwater. The walk back to the loft is uphill. The tv is a smart tv and has Netflix and Prime Video logged in. Only one parking spot available in the driveway. Ring cameras are used on the front and back of the main house for safety. Upon booking acceptance, rental contract must be signed and a copy of driver's license provided.

This loft features an open-concept layout with a view of the St. Croix River right from your sofa. With so many ways to enjoy a beautiful view of the St. Croix River, our private rooftop deck offers a dining table, comfortable seating area and lounge chair.

Forget the noise and congestion of the downtown when it's time to put your feet up. Serenity in the trees await!

The space
Inside your own level of the house, you will feel a warm, Africa-inspired décor. Say "Hello" to Elton, the 5-foot frog in the rainforest bathroom. Have a glass of wine on the patio with a bonfire. Ahhhh.

Due to the age of the house, and the beautiful hardwood floors on my upper-level, the floors creak here and there. I try to be as respectful as I can with this.

You will have the privacy of the lower level; I live upstairs with a locked door between the levels. You have your own entrance, so we probably won't ever run into each other, unless in the driveway.

During your stay
This is the reason I'm doing this - to meet people! I can also be hands-off. Just tell me what you prefer!

Other things to note
There are cats upstairs (my level). Your (lower) level was once available to my cats, but no more. There may still be fur, so please don't book if you're allergic!

Our Pebble on the Bay cabin is located on Big Carnelian Lake, just a few minutes north of historic Stillwater.

The space
The cabin offers full kitchen, sandy beach area, dock, paddle boat, kayaks and fire pit overlooking the lake. Two patio areas are within a few feet from the lakeshore and set up perfectly for lounging, visiting, dining and grilling. If you're looking for charm, a special place to gather, and relax near and on the water, an easy day or night trip into Stillwater (10 minute drive) for shopping, restaurants, trolly ride or proximity to William O'Brien State Park for biking/hiking- then this is the perfect place! Built in 1953 the cabin retains it's authenticity of knotty pine, wood floors, french doors, claw foot tub and sleeping nook with built in bed/draw curtain. Yet, boasts the comforts of home.

There is parking for up to 3 cars maximum. There is no street parking available. From the driveway, there are 38 steps (with 2 rails and landing) down to the cabin. This makes for wonderful living right next to the lake, but also presents a necessary consideration for guests who have difficulty navigating stairs due to health issues.

The Main Street Loft is a gorgeous space with a mezzanine, two bedrooms, two living rooms, within walking distance of everything that downtown Stillwater has to offer! With the door located directly on Main Street, you are within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, entertainment and night life. Busy but once inside, you'll feel cozy and right at home. Enjoy a stylish experience at this charming historic home built in 1882 less than a half a mile from downtown. House sits on the South Hill of Stillwater. It is a 5-block walk to the Chilkoot Stairs that bring you straight into town with amazing river views. This home has been completely updated to meet modern needs but with still the old feel of this historic logging town. Stillwater provides a beautiful river, parks, shopping and many restaurants.

The main floor has one bedroom with a queen bed, dining area, eat in kitchen, formal living room and family room that can be completely closed off for privacy/extra bed room with a pull-out couch. The master bedroom is on the 2nd level with a queen bed, laundry room and a large master bathroom with a shower.

There is a bonfire pit in the back yard and outdoor table/chairs available. There is an air mattress also available but please no more than 8 guests.
