- "A perfect little family getaway! A very beautiful cabin on a fun little lake! Our boys had so much fun fishing from our boat, and we also enjoyed the paddle boat. If we hadn’t taken our boat, there were a lot of floating options available (kayaks, jon boats, and the 4 person paddle boat) which is awesome to have so many available options. The sunset was spectacular! The host was beyond great, very attentive. This would be a wonderful winter escape as well. We are hoping to make it back there this winter. :)"

Pinecone retreat is a newly built cabin in 2008. It is in a great resort, Spiderlake resort. We are on a chain of 5 lakes. The cabin has a great view to the water and just down the hill is your dock. A little further over are 2 more docks and a swimming area.

This cabin is in a great recreational area. There are many other lakes nearby. Snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter and ATV riding in the summer.

Just 5 miles away is Birchwood with many restaurants and shopping. There is also Doolitle park a great place for the kids to play. Just Rite on Main is a great shopping experience enjoyed year round.

Pinecone retreat is also setup for crafters. We have tables and chairs and a mini kitchen. Scrapbookers love to come here for a peaceful place to work on their projects.

It really does feel like you are in a tree house. But a very well-equipped one. The sauna was a nice extra. The deck gets morning and evening shade so we ate breakfast and dinner outside most days. You are near several bar and grills for pizza, burgers, fish fry, etc. And about 20 minutes to Spooner for great coffee at Redemption Coffee. It was a great location for seeing a lot of Northern Wisconsin, and about 2 hours to MSP. The wildlife is plentiful—deer, squirrels, hummingbirds, songbirds, and we spotted a bald eagle and a piebald fawn. Very peaceful and surrounded by trees, through which you can see the lake below. Very scenic and peaceful, a calming retreat to enjoy family time."
